Definitions of Yoga Meaning of the word Yoga:
Etimology: The word ‘yoga’ originates from the Sanskrit verb ‘yuj' (युज्)
meaning to add, combine or unite. In yoga it means the union of the soul
with the divine.
In different paths of yoga, this unity is represented in other forms,
but the goal of all is one - union with the cosmic energy,God. There
seems difference among them based on methods. As per Hatha Yoga it
is union of ida and pingala, kaivalya in Rajyoga, attaining the darshan of
deity in Bhakti Yoga, finding brahma within in Gyan Yoga, merging with
Hari as karta in karma yoga, etc. Thus, the word yoga is the attainment
of that ultimate goal when the soul meets the divine, just as the river
current meets the ocean.
The number of texts related to yoga is vast. Numerous books have
been written on Yoga from the the era of Vedas and Upanishadas to the
present time. The form we are studying today is mainly based on the
Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Patanjal Yog Darshan and Hath Yog Pradipika.
Here we will describe the definitions of yoga in some scriptures of
yoga. It is noteworthy that the major texts of Indian philosophy have
been composed in Sanskrit language itself. Therefore, students are
expected to learn a little Sanskrit.

Every science or literature should be perfect without any mistakes.
It should give a perfect clear cut meaning to the reader.
If any defects or the demerit in the meanings, words, construction of sentences, sequence of topics are found in a Shastra then the validity, popularity and importance of that Shastra is lost by its readers.
So every scholar should have the knowledge of these Tantra Doshas while preparing a new compositions, research papers and books etc. or reading a book.
Tridosha Siddantha of Ayruveda is a VEDIC concept. Though difficult to understand, after sixteen years of Ayurveda practice I tried my best to make the concept simple and easy to understand.
It seems that the original literatures used to develop Tridosha concept is not available today. Charaka who is well known for the general medicine and clear treatment principles is the one who clearly explained the Tridosha siddantha with respect to body and Universe. Charaka and Susrutha samhithas are the available most ancient literatures of Ayurveda. One can think of Tridosha concept from different angle, hence any explanation to the concept of Tridosha Concept many times become controversial.
We were taught Vata as air, Pitta as Bile or fire, and Kapha as Phlegm in our colleges which really are just literary meanings and at some point one can compare the functions of these with air, fire or bile and phlegm. Other than that there is no direct relation between the literary meanings and the concept. Here this is my effort to explore the concept of Tridosha from one angle which I consider as most scientific.

The Sun being the source of light and life it is supposed to be the king of the planets. A native chart showing Sun in a strong position will help the individual to lead a healthy life for it is the nourishment provider for the whole body. Problems like weak eyesight, headaches, erratic blood circulation, heart trouble, dental problems, bone fractures, overheating, fevers, blood pressure, baldness, neuralgia, bone cancer, weak immune system, etc. are mainly due to a weak placement of the Sun in the birth chart.
