David Essay
David, who was destined to be the second king of Israel, destroyed the Philistine giant Goliath with
stone and a sling. Donatello, Verrocchio, Michelangelo, and Bernini each designed a sculpture of
David. However, the sculptures are drastically different from one another. Each one is unique in its
own certain way.
Donatello, whose David was the first life size nude statue since Classical times, struck a balance
between Classicism and the realism by presenting a very real image of an Italian peasant boy in the
form of a Classical nude figure. Although Donatello was inspired by classical figures, he did not
choose a Greek youth in his prime as a model for his David. Instead, he chooses a barely developed
adolescent boy whose arms appeared ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Donatello balanced realistic elements with an idealized Classically inspired torso whereas Verrocchio
s goal was absolutely realism in minute details. The sculptures also differ in terms of technique.
Donatello s David is mainly a closed form sculpture. The objects and limbs are centered around an S
curve stance, which balanced his human form. Verrocchio s sculpture is more open. For example, the
bared sword and elbow are sticking out, away from the central core. quot;Donatello s graceful pose
had been replaced in the Verrocchio, by a jaunty contrapposto that enhances David s image of self
confidence quot; (Fichner Rathus 334).
Michelangelo was yet another artist who sculpted David. His reputation as a sculptor was established
when he carved his David at the edge of twenty seven from a single piece of relatively unworkable
marble. Unlike the David s of Donatello and Verrocchio, Michelangelo s David is not shown after
conquering his enemy. Instead, he is portrayed as a quot;most beautiful animal preparing to kill not by
savagery and brute force, but by intellect and skill quot; (Fichner Rathus 345). Cast over his shoulder
is David s sling, and the stone is clutched in his right hand, his veins in chief anticipation of the fight.
Michelangelo s David depicts the ideal youth who has just reached manhood and is capable of great
physical and intellectual feats, which is part of the

Narrative Self Analysis Of Academic Decorum
Academic Decorum
Academic Decorum explained:
As a student of any kind, the key to success is to follow the aspects of academic decorum. Being
prepared for every class, engaging in class activities, and caring for your fellow students all represent
good qualities of academic decorum. When student, enter class looking like they just woke up from a
week long nap, it not only affects them, but who they are around. I have witnessed many events when
someone sees another not trying, which changes the attitude of student who might have been excited
to learn, into not wanting to even be there. The same applies outside of campus. If a kid is interested in
football, but his friends disagree and spent all their time playing video games, that kid will gradually
turn away from sports and follow who he is surrounded by. Not only will the student be affected now,
but it will change the way he acts in the future. When someone always sees others not putting in any
effort in school, he will incrementally follow his peers and get in the habit of not trying. If a student is
always engaged and willing to do what it takes to succeed, being an academic decorum, it will have a
very positive effect in their future.
Narrative Self Analysis: When I attend school, I tend to be relatively quiet. I will contribute to class
discussions and other group activities, but I m not one to distract others from the academic decorum
environment. Following the rules of academic decorum include turning papers in

Comparing Sara Holbrook s Perspectives On Democracy And 12...
Both Sara Holbrook s and Reginald Rose s perspectives on democracy are shown in the poem
Democracy and in the excerpt from 12 Angry Men . They both express in these passages that
democracy can be unfair, very inefficient at times and also inequality. Yet, both authors don t see eye
to eye, for the things they want equality for. While Holbrook shows more feelings about equality of
resources in her poem, Rose talks about equality in terms of judgement and accusations toward the
accused defendant. This makes their perspectives similar yet different in some ways. In the excerpt
from 12 Angry Men , Reginald Rose shows the reader how democracy isn t always very efficient and
is sometimes unfair. He shows the reader how democracy isn t always

Obeying The Constitution
The most important trait of being an effective citizen is respecting others and obeying the Constitution
because it creates our three branches of government and is able for amending. Everyone as a citizen of
the US should obey the Constitution. Obeying the Constitution can avoid consequences. By not
obeying the Constitution and respecting people we are not obeying our unalienable rights. Our
unalienable rights are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and by disrespecting others you are not
letting other people have their pursuit of happiness as well. We are living in a civilized world where
people should cooperate with each other. Respecting people is a silent way to express your feeling
toward them. Respect is an unspoken way of communication,

Spanish Financial Crisis
Spanish financial crisis
Introduction
(source: Wikipedia)
The 2008 2010 Spanish financial crisis is part of the world economic crisis of 2008. In Spain, the
crisis was generated by long term loans (commonly issued for 40 years), the building market crash
which included the bankruptcy of major companies, and a particularly severe increase in
unemployment, which rose to 13.9% in February 2009.
Spain continued the path of economic growth when the ruling party changed in 2004, keeping robust
GDP growth during the first term of prime minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, even though some
fundamental problems in the Spanish economy were already self evident. Among these, according to
the Financial Times, there was Spain s huge trade deficit ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Spain accounts for 11.5 percent of eurozone GDP while Greece only accounts for approximately 2.5
percent. Spain is the 4th largest economy in the 16 nation eurozone and it is the 10th largest economy
in the world. If the economy of Spain fails it will cause a shockwave that will be felt in every corner
of the globe. In fact, there are quite a few analysts that believe if Spain defaults it would ultimately
lead to the breakup of the eurozone.
So will the EU step up and bail out Spain? Well, there are rumors that EU officials have begun work
on a bailout package for Spain which is likely to run into the hundreds of billions of dollars, but on
Monday the European Commission, the Spanish government and the German government all denied
that the European Union was preparing a bailout for the Spanish economy.

levels. Spain now has the highest unemployment rate in the entire European Union. More than 20
percent of working age Spaniards were unemployed during the first quarter of 2010. If people aren t
working they can t pay taxes and they can t provide for their families.

Hurricanes form only in warm ocean waters near the equator. Cumulonimbus clouds are present, the
warm air over the ocean rises and high and low air pressure pushes new warm air. Then air rises and

clockwise. When the storm keeps rotating quickly an eye forms, and when the winds reach 39 mph it

How Does Shakespeare Use Magic In A Midsummer Night s Dream
William Shakespeare s use of magic in A Midsummer Night s Dream has a wide variety of elements
that impact the conflict in the story. In this play magic plays a very big role in the storyline.
Shakespeare uses magic in the play to confuse the situation, make conflict, and create illusion to
contribute to the climax. Shakespeare uses magic in the story to create confusion and disorientation. In
the play the quote, with draping fog as black as acheron (Act 3 Scene 2), Puck is straying Demetrius

to George. Marcel made a plan of action that Marcel was to shoot the stone out of his hand with his
longbow. Marcel found a spot around 50 meters away from Horace where he would have a clear shot.
He took the bow off his shoulders and knocked an arrow. He had no chance of missing because he had
spent years in his apprenticeship practicing with the weapon. When he fired the shot he knew it was a
good one. It hit the stone and sent it flying out of his hand.Marcel ran back into the cover of the woods
just before Horace saw him. When he hit the stone it broke the hypnotic state the soldiers were in and
they were confused as to where they were and why. They saw Horace dashing around frantically
looking for the stone, and when he spotted it, he jumped off and ran for it. By that point, everyone
knew what was going on and they chased after Horace and the stone. Horace was attacked from the
back and beaten down. When everyone stepped back from Horace, Marcel saw that he had bruises and
cuts all over his head and body. Marcel ran in to see what was going on. They decided that Horace

According to the doctors, the man was nine months pregnant and looked like he could explode at any

The Finches From The Galapagos Island
Change is the key factor in a species survival, whether that change, is being minimal or extremely
dramatic, and without change a species have condemned itself to extinction. Animals have learned to
adapt to their surroundings in order to survive, and with these adaptation people can witness new
breeds added to the spectrum and see them flourish. Breeds can be defined as a stock of animals or
plants within a species having a distinctive appearance and typically having been developed by
deliberate selection. For example the finches from the Galapagos Island s they are all finches, but they
all differed in their appearance, some had smaller others had larger beaks. Charles Darwin studied
these Finches and came to discover that the Finches differed in appearance because they had adapted
to their environment. The Galápagos finches provide an excellent example of this process. Among the
birds that ended up in arid environments, the ones with beaks better suited for eating cactus obtained
supplementary food. As a result, they were in healthier condition to mate. Similarly, those with beak
shapes that were well suited in getting nectar from flowers or eating thicker shielded seeds in other
environments were at an advantage there. In a very real sense, nature selected the best adapted
varieties to survive and to reproduce. With his findings throughout the years Darwin formulated his
theory of evolution by natural selection, and published his first book entitled, On the Origin

Future Air Transportation System Essay
2.2 FUTURE AIR NAVIGATION SYSTEMS (FANS) : 2.2.1 Introduction to FANS Future Air
Navigation Systems (FANS) is a concept that was developed by the International Civil Aviation
Organization (ICAO) in partnership with Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell and others in the air transport
industry to allow more aircraft to safely and efficiently utilize a given volume of airspace. Today
FANS is used primarily in the oceanic regions taking advantage of both satellite communication and
satellite navigation to effectively create a virtual RADAR environment for safe passage of aircraft.
FANS play a key role in supporting many of the evolving CNS/ATM (Communication Navigation
Surveillance/ Air Traffic Management) strategies. Today, FANS 1 is the standard used on Boeing
aircraft and Airbus standard for FANS is known as FANS A. Both standards are considered first

A Brief History of the Berlin Wall Essay
The Berlin Wall
Walls are one of man s oldest defenses; physical barriers that are erected to keep people out, or, in
some cases, to keep them in. Walls are physical fortifications that create tension and distain among
people on both sides. This is what the Berlin Wall, or der Mauer in German, was; a physical barrier
created in Berlin, Germany during the Cold War. It was created by the East Germans in an attempt to
stop East German citizens from immigrating to Western Germany. However, the Berlin wall was a
crude attempt to separate the political and social variances in Germany during the Cold War, because,
while it created a physical barrier, it still was unable separate people in an ethic manor.
Notably, before the walls creation, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Physically it was a 13ft high wall topped with barbed wire which extended 27 miles through the center
of the city (Raichelle). This large barrier came equipped with guards, and only had a small gate termed
Checkpoint Charlie, which was reserved for military and diplomatic use between the two sides
(Tucker). The wall was the tall divider of people; of families and friends, as it was created to keep
people from leaving.
After its construction, The Wall separated the two sides, but also created more issues than it solved.
For instance, between 1961 and 1989, the East German guards shoot to kill order against refugees
resulted in about 250 300 deaths ( Berlin Wall ). Those killed were most likely the artisans who
desired to leave in the first place, or the people who were separated from their families in the initial
construction of the Wall. Seeing as it also stretched through the center of the city, anyone caught on
the wrong side was trapped there. They were stuck, forced to spend their days separated. If they
attempted to leave, they could become part of the 200 people who were shot dead while attempting to
scale the wall (Raichelle). However, despite this, thousands of East Germans still managed to escape
across the barrier ( Cold War ). They left East Germany for the West; as the West had different ideals
that allowed these citizens to have more freedoms.
However, on November

Plutarch s Influence On Frankenstein
In the story Frankenstein, Victor s creation is exposed to four different books that influence his view
on human life. These four books are John Milton s Paradise Lost, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe s The
Sorrows of Young Werther, Plutarch s Plutarch s Lives of the Noble Greeks and Romans, and
Constantin Francois Volney s Ruins of Empires. All of these books influenced the creature to become
who he became, however I believe that Goethe s The Sorrows of Young Werther and Volney s Ruins

Paradise Lost focuses on the failures of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, which can also translate
to the failures of us as humans because they decided to eat the fruit. This would not leave a good
impression of humanity on the creature, because he does not know anything about humanity yet other
than the fact that they seem to hate him because of his appearance. On the other hand, Life of Pi
focuses on humanity s ability to persevere, even during the hardest situations. The creature which is
ostracized by society, can be compared to Pi who left all alone on a boat after being orphaned by a
ship wreck. Pi was lost at sea for 227 days with a 450 pound Bengal tiger and to stay alive in that sort
of situation requires amazing perseverance. If the creature had read this book and learned more about
perseverance through Pi s example, I believe that he would have been able to persevere through the
ostracization, and wouldn t have been so driven by his hatred for his own appearance. Even though
society may have rejected him, if the creature read Life of Pi, he would have learned to persevere
through the tough times and maybe would have come to be loved by people because of his

How Did Henri Becquerel Discovered The Discovery Of The...

scientist Henri Becquerel discovered natural radioactivity. Many scientists of the period were working

Henri Becquerel who discovered this experience while investigating the properties of fluorescent

The Roaring 20 s Era Of Growth And Reform
The era of the 1920s, also known as the Roaring 20 s, was a revolutionary time in which radical
changes struck the American nation, drastically increasing advances in society and economy. New and
different forms of dance, music, clothing, behavior, and lifestyle were developed nationwide. The
Antebellum Period in the late 1700s increased rebellion, similar to the Roaring 20 s era of growth and
reform. As this time period brought profound changes, conflict, cultural excitement, and
experimentation, the population of America was experiencing an alteration in social values. The
American pride, similar to the pride we had when separating from the British, was still alive as
independence and freedom was strongly rebelled for. The Roaring 20 s depicted the growing
independence of the American public as the promised result of cultural excitement with the usage of
alcohol, experimentation with labor strikes, conflict over ones rights, and change in the prosperity of
the nation, was much linked to and differed from the Temperance movement, Labor movement,
Suffrage movement, and the Industrial Revolution. As lavish parties with flapper girls, jazz music,
suited up men, cigars, and alcohol were thrown during the era, cultural excitement was at its peak. The
1920 s was a highlighted era in which drinking was a social trend. Both, men and women drank in
parties as they danced the night away. Liquor was handed out often and was the center of excitement.

Cultural Aspects Of Sexy Salsa Dance
As different groups of people move from one geographic location to another, they bring various
aspects of their heritage with them, including the dance forms characteristic of their culture. While in a
new location, these cultural aspects can serve to unify people of a common ethnicity, giving them a
physical expression of their collective identity. On the other hand, when a minority group of people
practices its dance forms in a new geographic location, dominant groups of people often adopt them.
Failing to understand the social significance and original meanings of such dances, the majority group
appropriates several aspects of the dance forms while changing other aspects in order to make them fit
better within its cultural ideologies. In this way, cultural appropriation of dance forms dissolves some
of their original cultural meanings, as is exemplified by the transmission of salsa dance from a Latin
American social dance to a Western ballroom dance, changing its nature from an expression of
cultural unity to an exotic experience. Performed primarily in social dance clubs, salsa is a fluid and
dynamic dance. The movement of the dancers originates from their hips, which move constantly
throughout the dance (Sexy Salsa Dancing). This in turn leads to the dancers having a dynamic and
flexible spine, weight shifts propelled by core body movement often resulting in weight suspended
between the feet, [and] flexed knees and a lower center of gravity (Malnig 304). The

U.s. History During The Colonial Period
One of the most significant events in U.S. history during the late colonial period was the Boston Tea
Party. After the Boston Massacre in spring of 1770, all of the Townshend acts had been repealed
except the tea tax, and tensions went down, for the most part, between the colonists and the British.
Two years later, however, the Gaspee incident and consequent formation of the Committee of
Correspondence brought the tension back, to an alarming degree. Then in 1773, when Lord North
tried to help the British East India Company by allowing them to export tea to America without paying
taxes, many colonists were furious. The price reduction in the tea was rightly seen as both a sneaky
business tactic, and an attempt to pacify the colonies so Britain could continue taxing them unfairly.
By December 16th of that year, a group of Patriots in Boston made a decision that turned out to have
monumental consequences: Dressed as Mohawks, the rebels destroyed an entire shipment of British
tea, throwing over 300 chests of it overboard as other colonists cheered. Lord North and King George
were furious and determined that the colonists must either submit or triumph (Tindall and Shi 128).
This so called Tea Party led to the creation of the Coercive Acts. Enacted by Parliament in 1774, they
were designed to punish the rebels by setting harsh restrictions and rules. The Boston Port Act, for
example, mandated that no one could use the Boston port until the East India Company was
reimbursed

Thai Elephants and its significant to Thai Culture and History
The elephant, the giant size animal with enormous power and gentle heart, is a living creature that
have special place in Thai s heart. It has been the icon of Thai tradition, culture and royal power
through centuries since the old Siam. The thousand and thousand years of relationship between Thai
people and elephants are even recorded and can be found abundantly on the pages of Thai s historical
book. Because of their long association, it surely can be said that Thailand is to elephants and

It is believed that the more white elephants held to the King, the more King s power in the adversaries.
However, a white elephant is rare and is registered as the private property of reigning Monarch when
they once found. It represents auspicious and the king s prestige. White elephants are known as Royal
elephants. It is noted that H.M. King Bhumibol also has stables of white elephants. The white elephant
was also featured in the Siam national flag until the country had changed the name to Thailand.
In the old days when the nation was not occupied with wars, elephants became the use of beast of
burden. With their great size, enormous power and talent, elephants were capable as best carrier for
heavy matters and human s transportation. Not long ago, elephants are used for the forest work where

A Look At Non Alzheimer s Disease
A Look At Non Alzheimer s Disease Dementias
By Katie Bergstrom, PA S
ABSTRACT:
The most common tendency in assessing patients who display signs of dementia is to evaluate them
for Alzheimer s Disease. This means that Vascular Dementia, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, and
Parkinson s Disease Dementia are conversely overlooked as possible diagnoses. Special attention to
clinical presentation and the use of diagnostic tests (such as the MRI) and assessment scales (like the
Mini Mental State Exam) aid in distinguishing between these diseases, and therefore better the
evaluation process. There are other telltale markers that aid in assessing these diseases, as well.
Alzheimer s Disease often presents with a slow decline in memory, while Vascular Dementia patients
experiences sharp declines in cognition. Patients suffering from Parkinson s Disease Dementia and
Dementia with Lewy bodies often present with symptoms of psychoses and hallucinations as well as
cognitive impairments, and they differ in the onset time of dementia. The early detection of cognitive
decline is important not only for the treatment but also for improving the caregiver burden of these
patients. Management of these disorders is focused on symptomatic relief, but it is also important to
minimize life style risk factors for all dementias.
INTRODUCTION:
Although Alzheimer s Disease (AD) is the most widely known cause of dementia in the elderly
population, there are many other explanations and clinical diagnoses that

3D Animation In Animation
3D animation is a virtual animation technique consisting of an animation in a digital world. 3D
animations are sophisticated creative pieces on which depend the mastery of multiple processes. The
illusion is shaped around the creation of a universe and characters both surprising and an almost
palpable reality. Behind the power of computers and software, the formidable human genius made it
possible to reach a dream: to give life to a technological matter rather abstract at the beginning, and to
set up stories without limitations for the imagination. That s why restricting the world of 3D to a
simplistic view would be an error. The advancement of digital image technologies has revolutionized
the entertainment and its sectors. Animation, video games, cinema, advertising... the 3D images

The Curiosity Rover
Mars has long been an unachievable goal for all nations. Starting in 1969, the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration (NASA) aimed to change that. With missions ranging from observing
climate to taking photos, NASA has examined the surface, atmosphere, and subsurface of Mars. In
2011, NASA launched the Curiosity rover with the goal of discovering organic compounds essential to
life on the surface of Mars (Administrator, 2017). This mission, Vit Rover, named after the prefix
meaning life, will continue the work of the Curiosity rover and answer three questions: Can the
organic compounds on Earth sustain life? What kind of life does the climate of Mars permit, if any?
Can humans and Martian life coexist without disruption? These questions ... Show more content on

Research Paper English Class
The Research Paper
One year ago, almost to the day I received my grade for my research paper. The paper that started it
all. The paper that I had spent so much time and effort on was finally sitting in my lap face down
itching for me to turn it over. On the other side, the grade that would determine my grade in the class.
My heart pounding and my arms shaking, I methodically turned my research paper over. I could only
stare at the letter grade up in the top right hand corner. Speechless, words could not enough to express
how I felt. My dad always told me, Learn how to learn. Those words that did not mean anything to me
for the longest time became amplified. I knew that the lessons I had learned from writing the paper
were more important than the grade itself. It all started at the beginning of junior year. We, the English

paper I agreed with assertiveness and a bit of inconspicuous regret, because I actually began to enjoy
learning about P.A.P. and creating an intelligent paper. All of the sudden it became important to me.
Ready to give it my all I geared up with information. I knew what I had to do and what needed to be
done for this paper to succeed. I worked with a concentrated effort to finish the paper that I loathed so
recently. My fingers kept moving, words and sources flew onto my computer screen with ease. My
room still, quiet, and relaxing became my zone; nothing could bother me. Sure enough I finished,
content with what I had done I leaned back into my small and restless chair. I could breathe, the
weight removed itself from my chest slowly. Filled with total ecstasy, my paper sat on my computer

finished. The paper sat on the screen only halfway

Saddam Hussein Responsibility
Saddam Hussein is widely regarded as Iraq s most notable president, serving for nearly 24 years as a
military dictator from 1979 to 2003. In his time as President, he founded the Iraqi Ba ath Party, led a
successful war in the Iran Iraq war, as well as addressed the major illiteracy, education, and medical
problems in the country. As president he fought to combat illiteracy by providing free education and
mandating attendance for his citizens (UNESCO). The Ba ath party, a political party that combines
Arab nationalism with socialism, strived to increase middle class wealth, as well as create a country of
prosperity and innovation. Saddam Hussein had great economic intentions for the country, but is

The court also considered trying Saddam for the genocide that took place against the Kurds and other
minority groups, but it becomes increasingly difficult to prove responsibility for genocide. Without a

prosecutors brought up the principle of command responsibility that a leader knew, or should have
known, about murders taking place by forces under his command but took no action either to prevent
them or punish those involved (Simon 2006). Under Saddam s rule, over 300,000 people died almost
entirely because of their ethnicity or religion (Simon 2006). Saddam s trial took place in Iraq under the
Iraqi Higher Criminal Court, a court setup by the United States and the UK during their occupation, in
which specializes in international law. Saddam was tried under this court instead of the International

Representation Of The Feminine Of Select Ghost Stories Of...
Representation of the Feminine in Select Ghost Stories of Ruskin Bond
Ruskin Bond is one of those rare authors whose writings have been loved and accepted by readers of
all ages and groups. His depiction of small town life in India and of ordinary individuals struggling to
make their lives and dreams worthwhile has an almost undeniable sense of appeal and beauty. His
stories usually reflect this simplicity and good humour that have come to be associated with most of
Bond s writing. Yet, there are certain aspects to his writing as it is true of any other great writer that
deal with deeper and darker themes even if they aren t immediately apparent. In this paper an attempt
has been made to analyse certain stories of the supernatural by Bond in order to assess how the
character of the female has been represented with a special emphasis on examining an element of the
sinister which seems to be associated with each of these women. Whether as ghosts or as real, living
individuals, these women exhibit a tendency to inflict harm on other characters which marks them as
being decisively dangerous. What this paper tries to ascertain is whether these female characters can
be simply branded as being evil or if there are actual, justifiable reasons behind their actions which
provokes them to act in the ways they do. The study thus seeks to shed some light on the intentions
and motivations of these characters who are evidently more complex than they initially appear to be.

Modern Day Improvements to Prosthetic Limbs
Prosthetic limbs have been around for centuries, but what is one thing they all have in common? They
have all been a nuisance. In recent years technology of the modern day Prosthesis has ventured to new
heights, but they have not perfected an artificial limb yet. With the amount of people in need of
prosthetic limbs, the demand for a perfect prosthesis is tremendous. The perfect prosthesis shouldn t
feel or even look like an artificial limb. Prosthetics should go unnoticed throughout the rest of the
amputee s life. Modern prosthetic limbs have become very advanced in the last decade. They now
have the ability to grip objects, have running limbs, and many more wonderful things. Although these
prosthetics are great, they are lacking some key extras that amputees would relish. What amputees
really want is their sense of feeling back. They want to reach out with their prosthetic limb and be able
to tell if the stove is on or off. They want to be able to press the gas of an automobile. This sense, that
all non amputees take for granted, would be a great place to start the improvement of the perfect
prosthetic limb. To accomplish such a daunting task, engineers must figure out an alternative source
that could interact with the amputees still intact nerve endings. This way they can use their still
functioning nerves to communicate with their pseudo nerve and have the ability to move their
prosthesis around with complete control of it and its sense of touch. I believe this has not

we had the great Carthaginian general Hamilcar Barca who was fighting Rome in the first punic wars.

Hannibal was born in Carthage which is now a days known as Tunisia, a cursed land upon all those

Microeconomics And Macroeconomics Of Microeconomics
Abstract
Economics is an enormous field. The term economics is the broader term, however within this, there
are additional fields such as microeconomics and macroeconomics. The difference between
microeconomics and macroeconomics is analogous to the human body and the individual cell that
makes up the human body. Macroeconomics is involved with the wide lens aspect of society. In other
words, macroeconomics focuses on the broader large scale economy of a society. Macroeconomics
focuses on larger economic issues such as national employment rates, gross domestic product, interest
rates, as well as currency exchange rates just to name a few examples. On the other hand,
microeconomics focuses more on the narrower lens of an economy. This approach focuses on the
individual businesses and customers as far as economic decisions are concerned. Specifically,
microeconomics studies the decision making process of the consumer. Microeconomics ask the
question, how do consumers spend their money? According to Investopedia (find source),
microeconomics is at the heart of consumer purchasing.
The Use of Utility in Microeconomics
The Impact of Key Economic Principles
Economics is a fascinating topic within our world. Pause and take a minute to look around. Assuming
you are not on a deserted island, everything you see is influenced by economics. The clothes you
wear, the food you eat, the electricity you are using, are all influenced by economics. Our world is so
greatly influenced by

1970s Pop Culture
America during the 1970s was full of change and acceptance of different groups of people and a
variety of cultures. That led to many people trying and experimenting with different ideas, especially
within pop culture. The 1970s had many elements of pop culture that we still experience today. Some
aspects of the 1970s culture are music, television, movies, literature, and trends.
The 70 s brought a large variety of music, including Funk, Hard Rock, and Disco. Some singers,
songwriters, and both include Johnny Cash, Diana Ross, and the Jackson 5. Johnny Cash was born in

Due to the many movements in the 70s, such as the Women s Liberation Movement, society was
changing rapidly. Men and women frequently breaking expected social fashion rules was one
example; people started to use their clothes for self expression and women, especially, wore clothing
that reflected their personality and desire for comfort. Another fad of the decade was kung fu and
other Asian martial arts; the trend started due to Bruce Lee s movies Fists of Fury and Enter the
Dragon, which were both made in the early 1970s. From then, Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and other
actors of the like became well known, becoming part of the American culture that is still relevant to
today. Finally, another trend was the rage over organic food. Similar to today, consumers back then
were also concerned about what they were eating and wanted to be able to have a diet that was both
beneficial to them and the Earth. Earth friendly farming ways were strongly encouraged while other
ways, such as growth regulators, chemical preservatives, and pesticides, were becoming

2.2 Describe with Examples the Importance of Recognising...
2.2 Describe with examples the importance of recognising and responding to concerns about children
and young people s development When looking at children and young people s development it is
important to recognise and respond to concerns to ensure that the child or young person receives the
help and assistance needed. The sooner any issues or concerns are raised the sooner the child or young
person can be monitored and help or assistance given. The following things would cause concern
about a child or young persons development. If the concern was ignored or the problem was left
untreated things could get worse and a delay in help or any treatment needed could mean the outcome
isn t as good as if the treatment was started earlier. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Physically as the child isn t playing at playtime they might not be as physically active as they
previously were. Responding to any concern has to be done in a professional manner meaning that you
don t talk to the parents or carer of the child without first following procedures. You would have to
have an account and a note of exactly what was seen or heard or anything witnessed. You would need
to state why it was a concern to you and the date and time this occurred. You would need to have kept
a log and it must be true and accurate. You would approach the class teacher with your concern. If the
teacher disregards it you would still need to report it as you have a responsibility to that child or young
person. You would report it to the relevant person above the teacher until the concern has been
reported correctly. Once reported the relevant person can help the child appropriately to solve the
issue correctly hopefully getting the child back on course. If you fail to take note and report any
concerns of child development the child or young person s development could be affected in various
areas. Example 2 You may start to become concerned about a child or young person if they start to act
out of character or their behaviour changes. You have a child who in class usually participates well
and is happy, very outgoing and confident but one day they come into class looking sad and is very
quiet.

James Shrodinger What Is The Electron Really
The electron, as we know it, is diagrams and symbols all of which are models. Scientists attempt to
understand the electron s components, shape, movement, etcetera, but the reality shines through. No
one knows. There are approximations and theories but no set in stone criteria. In the article, What Is
The Electron, Really?, the electron fundamentals make sense but are not necessarily true. What Is The
Electron, Really? was written by James J. Morwick at Oakwood Collegiate Institute. In the writing, he
begins by discussing Schrodinger s belief that the electron was a wave. Schrodinger conjured this
when he established a model of a nucleus, that of which repulsed the electron causing it to move wave
like. Schrodinger also revealed that confined

Similarities Between Hidden Figures And Bend It Like Beckham
The movies Hidden Figures, and Bend it like Beckham, directed by Theodore Melfi and Gurinder
Chadha respectively, both explore the dangers that are inherent in a marginalised society. Each text
demonstrates that hope for change is needed in society as it can build the momentum for an individual
to strive. Through these texts, it is observed that people have no conscience about harming others until
they learn the truth about their circumstances. This is depicted by the way in which Jess coach Joe
behaves after learning about her cultural expectations in Bend it like Beckham. Similarly, this is
shown in Hidden Figures by Mr. Harrison. Both directors emphasise that the abuse of power leads to
corruption and this can be seen through the segregation between the black and white people in Hidden
Figures and the way in which cultural values overrule the lives of the Bhamra s in Bend it like
Beckham. Both characters highlight the importance of creating opportunities rather than seeking it,
this is shown when Mary Jackson goes to court for educational rights in Hidden Figures and in Bend it
like Beckham when Jess stands up to her father who appears to be patriotic about his culture. The
resolutions to both texts justify that determination comes from within and that though many factors
can outweigh a person s ability to triumph, consistency can lead to rewarding results. Through the use
of cinematic techniques we are able to further increase our understanding of perseverance

  • 2. David Essay David, who was destined to be the second king of Israel, destroyed the Philistine giant Goliath with stone and a sling. Donatello, Verrocchio, Michelangelo, and Bernini each designed a sculpture of David. However, the sculptures are drastically different from one another. Each one is unique in its own certain way. Donatello, whose David was the first life size nude statue since Classical times, struck a balance between Classicism and the realism by presenting a very real image of an Italian peasant boy in the form of a Classical nude figure. Although Donatello was inspired by classical figures, he did not choose a Greek youth in his prime as a model for his David. Instead, he chooses a barely developed adolescent boy whose arms appeared ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Donatello balanced realistic elements with an idealized Classically inspired torso whereas Verrocchio s goal was absolutely realism in minute details. The sculptures also differ in terms of technique. Donatello s David is mainly a closed form sculpture. The objects and limbs are centered around an S curve stance, which balanced his human form. Verrocchio s sculpture is more open. For example, the bared sword and elbow are sticking out, away from the central core. quot;Donatello s graceful pose had been replaced in the Verrocchio, by a jaunty contrapposto that enhances David s image of self confidence quot; (Fichner Rathus 334). Michelangelo was yet another artist who sculpted David. His reputation as a sculptor was established when he carved his David at the edge of twenty seven from a single piece of relatively unworkable marble. Unlike the David s of Donatello and Verrocchio, Michelangelo s David is not shown after conquering his enemy. Instead, he is portrayed as a quot;most beautiful animal preparing to kill not by savagery and brute force, but by intellect and skill quot; (Fichner Rathus 345). Cast over his shoulder is David s sling, and the stone is clutched in his right hand, his veins in chief anticipation of the fight. Michelangelo s David depicts the ideal youth who has just reached manhood and is capable of great physical and intellectual feats, which is part of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Narrative Self Analysis Of Academic Decorum Academic Decorum Academic Decorum explained: As a student of any kind, the key to success is to follow the aspects of academic decorum. Being prepared for every class, engaging in class activities, and caring for your fellow students all represent good qualities of academic decorum. When student, enter class looking like they just woke up from a week long nap, it not only affects them, but who they are around. I have witnessed many events when someone sees another not trying, which changes the attitude of student who might have been excited to learn, into not wanting to even be there. The same applies outside of campus. If a kid is interested in football, but his friends disagree and spent all their time playing video games, that kid will gradually turn away from sports and follow who he is surrounded by. Not only will the student be affected now, but it will change the way he acts in the future. When someone always sees others not putting in any effort in school, he will incrementally follow his peers and get in the habit of not trying. If a student is always engaged and willing to do what it takes to succeed, being an academic decorum, it will have a very positive effect in their future. Narrative Self Analysis: When I attend school, I tend to be relatively quiet. I will contribute to class discussions and other group activities, but I m not one to distract others from the academic decorum environment. Following the rules of academic decorum include turning papers in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Both Sara Holbrook s and Reginald Rose s perspectives on democracy are shown in the poem Democracy and in the excerpt from 12 Angry Men . They both express in these passages that democracy can be unfair, very inefficient at times and also inequality. Yet, both authors don t see eye to eye, for the things they want equality for. While Holbrook shows more feelings about equality of resources in her poem, Rose talks about equality in terms of judgement and accusations toward the accused defendant. Breeds can be defined as a stock of animals or plants within a species having a distinctive appearance and typically having been developed by deliberate selection. For example the finches from the Galapagos Island s they are all finches, but they all differed in their appearance, some had smaller others had larger beaks. Charles Darwin studied these Finches and came to discover that the Finches differed in appearance because they had adapted to their environment. The Galápagos finches provide an excellent example of this process. Among the birds that ended up in arid environments, the ones with beaks better suited for eating cactus obtained supplementary food. As a result, they were in healthier condition to mate. Similarly, those with beak shapes that were well suited in getting nectar from flowers or eating thicker shielded seeds in other environments were at an advantage there. In a very real sense, nature selected the best adapted varieties to survive and to reproduce. With his findings throughout the years Darwin formulated his theory of evolution by natural selection, and published his first book entitled, On the Origin ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 16. Future Air Transportation System Essay 2.2 FUTURE AIR NAVIGATION SYSTEMS (FANS) : 2.2.1 Introduction to FANS Future Air Navigation Systems (FANS) is a concept that was developed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in partnership with Boeing, Airbus, Honeywell and others in the air transport industry to allow more aircraft to safely and efficiently utilize a given volume of airspace. Today FANS is used primarily in the oceanic regions taking advantage of both satellite communication and satellite navigation to effectively create a virtual RADAR environment for safe passage of aircraft. FANS play a key role in supporting many of the evolving CNS/ATM (Communication Navigation Surveillance/ Air Traffic Management) strategies. Today, FANS 1 is the standard used on Boeing aircraft and Airbus standard for FANS is known as FANS A. Both standards are considered first generation FANS architecture. Figure 2(d): FANS architecture The following is a closer look at the FANS requirements from an LRU (Line Replacement Unit) perspective. The Flight Management System (FMS) will receive a comprehensive software load that should include the following components (if not already a part of the previous software loads): RNP RNAV Required Navigation Performance standards are necessary to maintain the navigation performance in the particular oceanic region that supports FANS. • 17. A Brief History of the Berlin Wall Essay The Berlin Wall Walls are one of man s oldest defenses; physical barriers that are erected to keep people out, or, in some cases, to keep them in. Walls are physical fortifications that create tension and distain among people on both sides. This is what the Berlin Wall, or der Mauer in German, was; a physical barrier created in Berlin, Germany during the Cold War. It was created by the East Germans in an attempt to stop East German citizens from immigrating to Western Germany. However, the Berlin wall was a crude attempt to separate the political and social variances in Germany during the Cold War, because, while it created a physical barrier, it still was unable separate people in an ethic manor. Notably, before the walls creation, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Physically it was a 13ft high wall topped with barbed wire which extended 27 miles through the center of the city (Raichelle). This large barrier came equipped with guards, and only had a small gate termed Checkpoint Charlie, which was reserved for military and diplomatic use between the two sides (Tucker). The wall was the tall divider of people; of families and friends, as it was created to keep people from leaving. After its construction, The Wall separated the two sides, but also created more issues than it solved. For instance, between 1961 and 1989, the East German guards shoot to kill order against refugees resulted in about 250 300 deaths ( Berlin Wall ). Those killed were most likely the artisans who desired to leave in the first place, or the people who were separated from their families in the initial construction of the Wall. Seeing as it also stretched through the center of the city, anyone caught on the wrong side was trapped there. They were stuck, forced to spend their days separated. If they attempted to leave, they could become part of the 200 people who were shot dead while attempting to scale the wall (Raichelle). However, despite this, thousands of East Germans still managed to escape across the barrier ( Cold War ). They left East Germany for the West; as the West had different ideals that allowed these citizens to have more freedoms. However, on November ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

These four books are John Milton s Paradise Lost, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe s The Sorrows of Young Werther, Plutarch s Plutarch s Lives of the Noble Greeks and Romans, and Constantin Francois Volney s Ruins of Empires. All of these books influenced the creature to become who he became, however I believe that Goethe s The Sorrows of Young Werther and Volney s Ruins of Empires actually did not have a negative affect on the creature. Paradise Lost focuses on the failures of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, which can also translate to the failures of us as humans because they decided to eat the fruit. On the other hand, Life of Pi focuses on humanity s ability to persevere, even during the hardest situations. The creature which is ostracized by society, can be compared to Pi who left all alone on a boat after being orphaned by a ship wreck. Pi was lost at sea for 227 days with a 450 pound Bengal tiger and to stay alive in that sort of situation requires amazing perseverance. If the creature had read this book and learned more about perseverance through Pi s example, I believe that he would have been able to persevere through the ostracization, and wouldn t have been so driven by his hatred for his own appearance. In 1896, French scientist Henri Becquerel discovered natural radioactivity. Many scientists of the period were working with cathode rays, and other scientists were gathering evidence on the theory that the atom could be subdivided. Some of the new research showed that certain types of atoms break by themselves. It was Henri Becquerel who discovered this experience while investigating the properties of fluorescent minerals. The Roaring 20 s Era Of Growth And Reform The era of the 1920s, also known as the Roaring 20 s, was a revolutionary time in which radical changes struck the American nation, drastically increasing advances in society and economy. New and different forms of dance, music, clothing, behavior, and lifestyle were developed nationwide. The Antebellum Period in the late 1700s increased rebellion, similar to the Roaring 20 s era of growth and reform. As this time period brought profound changes, conflict, cultural excitement, and experimentation, the population of America was experiencing an alteration in social values. The American pride, similar to the pride we had when separating from the British, was still alive as independence and freedom was strongly rebelled for. The Roaring 20 s depicted the growing independence of the American public as the promised result of cultural excitement with the usage of alcohol, experimentation with labor strikes, conflict over ones rights, and change in the prosperity of the nation, was much linked to and differed from the Temperance movement, Labor movement, Suffrage movement, and the Industrial Revolution. • 23. Cultural Aspects Of Sexy Salsa Dance As different groups of people move from one geographic location to another, they bring various aspects of their heritage with them, including the dance forms characteristic of their culture. While in a new location, these cultural aspects can serve to unify people of a common ethnicity, giving them a physical expression of their collective identity. On the other hand, when a minority group of people practices its dance forms in a new geographic location, dominant groups of people often adopt them. Failing to understand the social significance and original meanings of such dances, the majority group appropriates several aspects of the dance forms while changing other aspects in order to make them fit better within its cultural ideologies. In this way, cultural appropriation of dance forms dissolves some of their original cultural meanings, as is exemplified by the transmission of salsa dance from a Latin American social dance to a Western ballroom dance, changing its nature from an expression of cultural unity to an exotic experience. Performed primarily in social dance clubs, salsa is a fluid and dynamic dance. The movement of the dancers originates from their hips, which move constantly throughout the dance (Sexy Salsa Dancing). This in turn leads to the dancers having a dynamic and flexible spine, weight shifts propelled by core body movement often resulting in weight suspended between the feet, [and] flexed knees and a lower center of gravity (Malnig 304). • 25. U.s. History During The Colonial Period One of the most significant events in U.S. history during the late colonial period was the Boston Tea Party. After the Boston Massacre in spring of 1770, all of the Townshend acts had been repealed except the tea tax, and tensions went down, for the most part, between the colonists and the British. Two years later, however, the Gaspee incident and consequent formation of the Committee of Correspondence brought the tension back, to an alarming degree. Then in 1773, when Lord North tried to help the British East India Company by allowing them to export tea to America without paying taxes, many colonists were furious. The price reduction in the tea was rightly seen as both a sneaky business tactic, and an attempt to pacify the colonies so Britain could continue taxing them unfairly. By December 16th of that year, a group of Patriots in Boston made a decision that turned out to have monumental consequences: Dressed as Mohawks, the rebels destroyed an entire shipment of British tea, throwing over 300 chests of it overboard as other colonists cheered. Lord North and King George were furious and determined that the colonists must either submit or triumph (Tindall and Shi 128). This so called Tea Party led to the creation of the Coercive Acts. Enacted by Parliament in 1774, they were designed to punish the rebels by setting harsh restrictions and rules. A Look At Non Alzheimer s Disease A Look At Non Alzheimer s Disease Dementias By Katie Bergstrom, PA S ABSTRACT: The most common tendency in assessing patients who display signs of dementia is to evaluate them for Alzheimer s Disease. This means that Vascular Dementia, Dementia with Lewy Bodies, and Parkinson s Disease Dementia are conversely overlooked as possible diagnoses. Special attention to clinical presentation and the use of diagnostic tests (such as the MRI) and assessment scales (like the Mini Mental State Exam) aid in distinguishing between these diseases, and therefore better the evaluation process. There are other telltale markers that aid in assessing these diseases, as well. Alzheimer s Disease often presents with a slow decline in memory, while Vascular Dementia patients experiences sharp declines in cognition. Patients suffering from Parkinson s Disease Dementia and Dementia with Lewy bodies often present with symptoms of psychoses and hallucinations as well as cognitive impairments, and they differ in the onset time of dementia. The early detection of cognitive decline is important not only for the treatment but also for improving the caregiver burden of these patients. Management of these disorders is focused on symptomatic relief, but it is also important to minimize life style risk factors for all dementias. With the amount of people in need of prosthetic limbs, the demand for a perfect prosthesis is tremendous. The perfect prosthesis shouldn t feel or even look like an artificial limb. Prosthetics should go unnoticed throughout the rest of the amputee s life. Modern prosthetic limbs have become very advanced in the last decade. • 39. Microeconomics And Macroeconomics Of Microeconomics Abstract Economics is an enormous field. The term economics is the broader term, however within this, there are additional fields such as microeconomics and macroeconomics. The difference between microeconomics and macroeconomics is analogous to the human body and the individual cell that makes up the human body. Macroeconomics is involved with the wide lens aspect of society. In other words, macroeconomics focuses on the broader large scale economy of a society. Macroeconomics focuses on larger economic issues such as national employment rates, gross domestic product, interest rates, as well as currency exchange rates just to name a few examples. On the other hand, microeconomics focuses more on the narrower lens of an economy. This approach focuses on the individual businesses and customers as far as economic decisions are concerned. Specifically, microeconomics studies the decision making process of the consumer. Microeconomics ask the question, how do consumers spend their money? According to Investopedia (find source), microeconomics is at the heart of consumer purchasing. • 40. 1970s Pop Culture America during the 1970s was full of change and acceptance of different groups of people and a variety of cultures. That led to many people trying and experimenting with different ideas, especially within pop culture. The 1970s had many elements of pop culture that we still experience today. Some aspects of the 1970s culture are music, television, movies, literature, and trends. The 70 s brought a large variety of music, including Funk, Hard Rock, and Disco. Some singers, songwriters, and both include Johnny Cash, Diana Ross, and the Jackson 5. Johnny Cash was born in Kingsland, Arkansas on February 26, 1932, and grew up to be an American singer and a songwriter. His songs had a range of genre, from country music to pop music, including ... Men and women frequently breaking expected social fashion rules was one example; people started to use their clothes for self expression and women, especially, wore clothing that reflected their personality and desire for comfort. Another fad of the decade was kung fu and other Asian martial arts; the trend started due to Bruce Lee s movies Fists of Fury and Enter the Dragon, which were both made in the early 1970s. From then, Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, and other actors of the like became well known, becoming part of the American culture that is still relevant to today. Finally, another trend was the rage over organic food. Similar to today, consumers back then were also concerned about what they were eating and wanted to be able to have a diet that was both beneficial to them and the Earth. Earth friendly farming ways were strongly encouraged while other ways, such as growth regulators, chemical preservatives, and pesticides, were becoming ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Responding to any concern has to be done in a professional manner meaning that you don t talk to the parents or carer of the child without first following procedures. You would have to have an account and a note of exactly what was seen or heard or anything witnessed. You would need to state why it was a concern to you and the date and time this occurred. You would need to have kept a log and it must be true and accurate. You would approach the class teacher with your concern. If the teacher disregards it you would still need to report it as you have a responsibility to that child or young person. You would report it to the relevant person above the teacher until the concern has been reported correctly. Once reported the relevant person can help the child appropriately to solve the issue correctly hopefully getting the child back on course. If you fail to take note and report any concerns of child development the child or young person s development could be affected in various areas. Example 2 You may start to become concerned about a child or young person if they start to act out of character or their behaviour changes. You have a child who in class usually participates well and is happy, very outgoing and confident but one day they come into class looking sad and is very quiet. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 42. James Shrodinger What Is The Electron Really The electron, as we know it, is diagrams and symbols all of which are models. Scientists attempt to understand the electron s components, shape, movement, etcetera, but the reality shines through. No one knows. There are approximations and theories but no set in stone criteria. In the article, What Is The Electron, Really?, the electron fundamentals make sense but are not necessarily true. What Is The Electron, Really? was written by James J. Morwick at Oakwood Collegiate Institute. In the writing, he begins by discussing Schrodinger s belief that the electron was a wave. Schrodinger conjured this when he established a model of a nucleus, that of which repulsed the electron causing it to move wave like. Schrodinger also revealed that confined ... • 43. Similarities Between Hidden Figures And Bend It Like Beckham The movies Hidden Figures, and Bend it like Beckham, directed by Theodore Melfi and Gurinder Chadha respectively, both explore the dangers that are inherent in a marginalised society. Each text demonstrates that hope for change is needed in society as it can build the momentum for an individual to strive. Through these texts, it is observed that people have no conscience about harming others until they learn the truth about their circumstances. This is depicted by the way in which Jess coach Joe behaves after learning about her cultural expectations in Bend it like Beckham. Similarly, this is shown in Hidden Figures by Mr. Harrison. Both directors emphasise that the abuse of power leads to corruption and this can be seen through the segregation between the black and white people in Hidden Figures and the way in which cultural values overrule the lives of the Bhamra s in Bend it like Beckham. Both characters highlight the importance of creating opportunities rather than seeking it, this is shown when Mary Jackson goes to court for educational rights in Hidden Figures and in Bend it like Beckham when Jess stands up to her father who appears to be patriotic about his culture. The resolutions to both texts justify that determination comes from within and that though many factors can outweigh a person s ability to triumph, consistency can lead to rewarding results. Through the use of cinematic techniques we are able to further increase our understanding of perseverance ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
