Essay To Be A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
Deciding to be a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer was not an easy or fast decision. Like everything
else in life, my decision was gradual and time consuming. However, being involved in the medical
field was always something that I longed to do. Most other kids want to be a firefighter, police man, or
President of the United States. For me I always knew that my heart belonged in the hospital. It all
started in the 4th grade. That s when I knew that being in the medical field is what I ve always wanted
to do. This day, my 4th grade teacher gave us an assignment while learning science. We were
specifically learning about the heart and it s 4 chambers. This subject, I remember, was so captivating
and fascinating for me. I soaked in all the information I got from this class extremely easily. It was
unlike any of the other classes that I have taken thus far. Math, literature and history were not subjects
that I thought were very interesting for me but science was something that I especially excelled in. As
the years went by I learned that I was especially had an interest in forensics. The ability to see the
open body one on one in the fashion that forensics get to have contact with a body was more than
interesting for me. So at the age of 12, I decided that forensics was what I was gonna put my mind to.
The first thing I did was let my mother know that I finally have an idea of where I was going with my
life. Unfortunately, she completely disliked the idea of me

There Are Two Main Issues In The Philosophy Of Religion
There are two main issues in the philosophy of religion that focus on the existence of God. First and
foremost, there are four arguments that describes the philosophy of religion which are cosmological
arguments, ontological arguments and teleological arguments. Cosmological idea are empirical a
posteriori arguments based on experience and sense perception. Our experience of the world shows
God as the cause, creator or ultimate explanation of the word. Ontological concept are rational a
posteriori arguments based on the pure reason, independently of sense experience. The definition or
essence of God, the sort of being God is requires its existence. The third concept is teleological
argument which is empirical a posteriori arguments also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The definition or essence of God s the sort of being God is requires His existence. God is the
supremely perfect being. Decastes knows this because he clearly and distinctly apprehends the essence
of God. The essence of supremely perfect being includes His existence. In the same, the essence of a
triangle is that the sum of its interior angle equals 180 degree, hence this definitely concludes that God
s existence. St.Anselm s ontological arguments describes that God is the greatest possible being. What
exists in reality is greater than what exists only in the mind. Real things are metaphysically superior to
imaginary things. If the great possible being exists only in the mind, then there is a being greater than
the greatest possible being. Namely, one that exists in reality. This is contradiction, there cannot be a
being greater than greatest possible being. Therefore, the greatest possible being must exist in reality
thus, God is real. Kant s and Russell s have a different objection to ontological arguments that the
existence is not a property or a quality of a thing that some entity can have or not have. For example,
there is a logic of existence of these claims. To say x exist is to say there is an x such that the sentence
x exist is true. What makes the sentence x exist true is the presence of the existence. It is clear
evidence that God has special attributes that is common to Him and

Application Of Access Control System
Introduction
Access control is one of the earliest problems in computer security and remains a continuing
challenge. Access control component determines whether requests to access resources are granted.
1. Discretionary access control
In Discretionary Access Control any user can set an entrance control instrument to permit or deny
access to an object. DAC relies on the object proprietor to control access. It is generally executed in
most working frameworks, and is very familiar access control method. Flexibility is a strength of
DAC and a key motivation behind why it is broadly known and actualized in standard working frame.
Unlike Mandatory Access Control (MAC) where access to framework assets is controlled by the
working framework ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A discretionary access control (DAC) arrangement is a method for appointing access rights in light of
tenets predetermined by clients. This class of approaches incorporates the record consents model
actualized by almost every single working framework. In Unix, for instance, a catalog posting may
yield ... rwxr xr x ... file.txt , implying that the proprietor of file.txt may read, compose, or execute it,
and that different clients may read or execute the document yet not compose it. The arrangement of
access rights in this case is {read, compose, execute}, and the working framework intercedes all
solicitations to perform any of these activities. Clients may change the consents on documents they
possess, making this an optional strategy.
A system actualizing a DAC approach must have the capacity to answer the inquiry: Does subject S
have right R for item O? Abstractly, the data expected to answer this inquiry can be spoken to as a
scientific connection D on subjects, protests, and rights: if (S, O, and R) is in D, then S has right R for
article O; generally, S does not. All the more basically, the same data could likewise be spoken to as an
entrance control network. Every column of the grid relates to a subject and every segment to an
article. Every cell of the framework contains an arrangement of rights.

My Mentorship Bible Study
I was baptized as an infant and accepted Jesus as my savior when I was four years old. The Lord
blessed me with Christian parents and the opportunity to grow up always hearing the Word. We are
members of New City Fellowship of Fredericksburg. It is a PCA church with an intentional cross
cultural vision. My family and I are very involved in our church. We actively participate in worship,
small groups, Bible study and serving where the Lord calls us. Personally, I am part of a small group
and a mentorship Bible study group for older teen girls lead by some of the older women. Before the
mentorship group, I was in youth group. This mentorship group has helped further my knowledge and
understanding of God s word.

We did so by helping the Ferguson family with their daily household chores as well as help the
residents of the Therapy Center with some of their jobs. We shared God s love by helping the residents
with tasks like picking plums, making jam, and helping them rebuild a wall on one of their sheds. We
assisted the Ferguson family in helping take care of their two boys and newborn daughter, clearing and
preparing their garden, making and canning pasta sauce, making a concrete driveway and helping
rebuild their shed. Because we were staying in the Therapy center and were very far from any cities,
we ate our meals in the nearby castle where we had a cook prepare our meals. Every morning, during
breakfast, we did a devotion and every evening, after dinner, we had a little worship service, and
sometimes the residents would join us.
This mission trip gave me the opportunity to serve others in a tangible way and has helped further my
servant s heart and want to do more for the people around me. It also gave me more knowledge of
what other countries are like and how many people need God s love and word. The trip also furthered
my knowledge of God s word and love and how to share it with others. I hope to go on more missions
trips in the future to help and assist others and show them God s love or even serve in my community
doing the same thing. It also gave me a desire to explore God s

Challenges Of Bre-X
Challenges for Bre X Minerals in Indonesia Bre X Minerals Ltd. faced numerous challenges in 1996,
largest among them being the potential loss of the majority stake in property that could yield upwards
of 100 million ounces of gold. The Indonesian government was threatening to redistribute ownership
of Busang, the mining region in which Bre X had property rights, due to its fear that Bre X was a short
term player not serious about extracting the gold or a long term commitment in Indonesia. These fears
were justified given Bre X s small size (it had a net loss of $Cdn. 366,677 in 1995 compared to a net
income of $Cdn. 218 million from Barrick Gold Corp., a potential government corporate partner) and
limited connections within the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Indonesian government has shown, through its interactions with Bre X, that it is easily influenced
by the demands of President Suharto s family and by pressures from respected individuals. For
example, the Barrick proposal received endorsement from the government only after Barrick hired
Suharto s daughter (Tutut) and encouragement from former U.S. President George Bush and former
Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. Despite making an alliance with PT Panutan Duta in late
October, Bre X was late in recognizing the importance of relationship building in conducting business
in Indonesia. With only eight days to negotiate the deal with Barrick, Bre X does not have time to
develop the necessary connections to succeed in Indonesia without a competent partner. Strong
property rights are an essential component in any successful market economy. Although Indonesia has
regulations regarding mineral exploration and extraction, the government has found ways to
manipulate the regulations to best serve its interests. Making it through the various stages of mining
approval requires complex paperwork and numerous negotiations with various government offices.
Bre X had navigated this system and received a Contract of Work (CoW) to mine the Southeast Zone.
However, after Kuntoro Mangkusubroto declined to revoke Bre X s CoW, Sudjana had transferred the

Essay on Atlantis Intrigues a Teen
Plato much believed that the civilization of Atlantis existed (Writer873). The origins of Atlantis are
written in Plato s Critias and Timaeus (Plato). Written around 350s B.C., the main character Solon,
travels to Egypt and learns of Atlantis by priests (Writer873). He claimed his dialogues to be true
records (Atlantis Subplots). Timaeus explains Atlantis was the island situated in front of the straits,
which are by you called Pillars of Herakles; the island was larger than Libya and Asia put together
(Plato). It goes on further Atlantis was a great wonderful empire which had rule over the whole island

The secrets, including the culture, of Atlantis are fascinating in the way Plato illustrates the city.
Atlanteans were far more advanced than any civilization during their time, not to be mistaken with
Atlanteans being more advanced than any civilization during our time. Atlantis culture is explained in
Critias by a great amount within it s pages and it is extraordinary how the people behaved so civil and
orderly back then. The first thing the reader will learn in reading Critias is Atlantis is ancient, ancient
as in 9000 years (Plato). It s no wonder Atlanteans became far more advanced than Athenians and
other neighboring ancient cities. The empire had time to form a stable society and conduct new ways
to make life easier. The other detail in Critias is Athens was in command one side and fought through
the whole war, and in command of the other side were the kings of the island of Atlantis (Plato).
Showing the two cities weren t on the good terms before the fall of Atlantis. The article Atlantean
Culture writes about the belief the people of Atlantis were dominantly a race of reddish in color,
average height, and slightly egg shape heads and sloped forehead. Egerton Sykes (1894 1983), was
not only the creator of the largest private collection on Atlantis in the world, he prided himself on

The State Of Michigan Is A Word Formed By The Ojibwa Tribe
Water Essay:
The state of Michigan is also called mishigamaa which was a word formed by the Ojibwa tribe.
Mishigamaa means large water or large lake. This state is known for its large and beautiful bodies of
water. In my experiences, I have noticed that Michigan has extremely fresh and clean, large bodies of
water in comparison to other Midwest states. Michigan involves two peninsulas, the Upper and Lower
Peninsula. They are separated by the Straits of Mackinac and a few nearby islands. The Straits of
Mackinac connects two of the Great Lakes; Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. They are connected by
the Mackinac Bridge. Michigan covers 58,110 square miles of land, 38,575 spare miles of the Great
Lakes and 1,305 square miles of inland waters (2015 pg.1).
The water cycle represents how water is exchanged and cycled through Earth s land, oceans, and
atmosphere (2010 pg.1). Evaporation, condensation, and precipitation are all three main factors within
the water cycle. Evaporation occurs when a liquids surface changes to gas. For example, when water
from rivers, oceans or lakes evaporate, it becomes water vapor. Condensation occurs when gas
changes to a liquid. For example, clouds form when water vapor condescends. Precipitation is
described as any liquid or solid water that falls to earth from above. A great and simple example would
be rain, snow or hail (2010 pg.1). Within the water cycle, there are three states of water: solid, liquid
and gas. Most of Earth s freshwater is

Powwow Research Paper
I only remember going to one powwow in my life. It was several years ago when I was just a child at
the Cherokee National Holiday celebration. I have seen some other Native dancers at different events
but never formal powwows. I have always wanted to see more, but I have never had an opportunity to
see another one. So, when I saw I had an assignment where I was required to go to an American
Indian event, I knew I wanted to see another powwow. I looked on the Oklahoma Tourism website and
found the nearest one to where I live. It was the Restoring Harmony / Stand to Power Powwow at the
Westside YMCA in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I learned a lot about modern tribal initiatives dealing with
health, culture, and intertribal relations. The 11th Annual Restoring ... Show more content on

The regalia that the dancers were wearing was absolutely beautiful and the amount of craftsmanship
that some of them put in were awe inspiring. I watched several of the dance contests. The Tiny Tots
contest was so adorable and was great to see such young children actively participating in their
culture. Another favorite was what they called the Golden Age dancers, where community elders took
the stage. It meant so much to them, which was very profound. One of the older women looked very
similar to my grandmother and reminded me of her. The centerpiece of the entire celebration of when
the men s fancy dance contest occurred. These were people at the top of their craft dressed in beautiful
regalia. The realization that really struck me was just how modern a lot of the clothing and items were.
Some dancers wore noticeable machine made pieces; other wore bright neon colors that do not exist in
nature. I remember the powwow (probably a little over a decade ago), where most of clothing was
hand sewn and beaded. This change was something I did not expect, but comes with modernization of
any culture or tradition. Seeing how the dancers and the powwow itself have adapted to contemporary
times while also holding on to the essentials of their traditions was so fascinating to see

The Between Edouard Vuillard s Interior With A Screen (...
The art world has been host to a vast menagerie of talent, intellect, and creativity for about as long as
human culture has existed. It has grown, developed, and changed just as humanity has. Naturally, with
such an impressively expansive history, various avenues of art are visited time and time again by new
artists. Artists seek not only to bring their own personal flavor and meaning to timeless concepts, but
to find new ways to approach them. While not every single creator and craftsman can make such a
great impact on art or the world, their efforts have given birth to some truly magnificent and unique
works. In an effort to create a more meaningful understanding, as well a deeper appreciation, of the
nuances, techniques, and design choices employed in these attempts, a comparison will be made
between Edouard Vuillard s Interior With a Screen (1909 1910) and Henri Matisse s Blue Nude
(Souvenir of Biskra) (1907). In this essay, each artist s approach to the subject of the female nude will
be closely analyzed, compared, and contrasted, as will their styles of painting, handling of visual
elements, and their use of the principles of design. An interpretation of each work and what the artist
intended when creating it will also be provided. The analysis of these paintings will begin with
Vuillard s oil painting Interior With a Screen. This piece depicts a female nude placed in the interior a
large and furnished room; the woman appears to be slightly hunched over

Analysis Of The Episode Chirp
Looking back at the episode, it seemed clear to me that the three families that were presented in the
Modern Family episode Chirp, had dilemmas. Each family had to face their own conflicts, which in
different ways gets resolved in the end. These family problems in this episode includes couples not
listening to each other, son not getting attention, and even the husband who struggles to show his
manly side. Although the episode talks about all three families, they mainly had their own story line.
These conflicts start with one member of the family; in this episode it is the man. In the beginning of
the episode, the Dunphy Family had trouble with the smoke detectors. Phil Dunphy, who is the man of
the family, struggles to tackle which detector is making the low battery sound. With little success, he
feels like he isn t capable of even a simple task that s generally completed by men. He feels like he is
losing his masculinity every time the smoke detectors chirp, which is literally driving him nuts. Later,
the gay couple, Mitchell and Cameron lightly argue whether to take their adopted daughter to act in a
commercial. Mitchell, which happens to make the income to provide for the family, denies Cameron s
request. Cameron complains that he makes all the decisions because he makes the income, and gets
more say for the family. To prove that he is not going to let that stop him, he takes their daughter to
act, despite what Mitchell had against it. Lastly the

Ancient Babylonia
When studying Ancient Babylonia it is notably important to look at these factors: daily life, religion,
people, society, government and economy so we can determine the development of the civilization
and how it is similar to the way we live today. The Babylonian Empire is unique because their
government was run by a law known as the Code of Hammurabi similarly are government is run by
numerous laws. Their knowledge of science and astrology is intriguing due to the fact that they were
the first civilization to form the basis of the sixteen month of thirty days calendar, their discovery of

They also had a list of magical stones to develop their knowledge of mineralogy. Map mating was a
very known science to the Babylonians most of them were experienced in it which made them more
aware of there surrounding. Babylonians drew maps of local areas such as field plans, estates plans,
grounds plants of temples and houses as well as maps of more distant regions such as larger areas:
districts and towns. Their maps were drawn mostly in straight lines, with little attention to scale,
angles and orientation. Most of the sciences they began to study and explore are the same sciences that
we are going into today. The Babylonians have built the foundation for us and we used that and are
building the rest. br br Mathematics was just as important to the Babylonian as it is to us. They
however calculated things entirely different from us. A prime example of this is their number system
which had two disadvantages: (1) it was confusing and, therefore, not used in many daily economic
activities (2) there was no special sign for zero, to separate the different units, so they would leave two
blank spaces for zero or by using a special sign that indicated a space between two words. Babylonian
mathematicians developed a mastery of algebraic skill, even though there was no graphic symbol for
the unknown. Instead they invented a method called false value. Babylonians also

The Enforcement Of Cyber Security Standards
There is a new threat to the world, cyberspace. New technologies are being developed daily that
threaten secure organizations. Attackers are able to take advantage of any vulnerability that they can
find no matter the geological location. This threat poses risks to the economy, militaries, and
governments around the world. The U.S. is at the forefront of the defense of cyber security, but with
the endless number of cyber terrorists, the U.S. defense is not enough. Nations need to come together
to provide a standard for cyber security that is able to be enforced throughout the world. The many
different organizations provide many avenues of approach for various attackers to take advantage of
the vulnerabilities in cyber defense. The only way to prevent these attacks is for the U.S. and its
international partners to develop a strategy for global cyber security. Actions are currently being taken
by many of the U.S. s allies, yet there is still much work to be done. The enforcement of cyber
security standards must take place in all government organizations, and similar standards should be
followed by civilian corporations. This new cyber warfare must be regulated and controlled just like
any other battlespace.
The communication network of both military and civilian organizations has changed greatly in the last
thirty years. Just like anything else, with these new advantages in communication systems, there are
also new advantages for the enemy to exploit. Due to the increase in

Essay On Moral Dilemmas In The Crucible
What is a moral dilemma? A moral dilemma is a man versus self conflict. It is when a character has to
perform two different actions, but they can not perform both actions because it is not possible. Authors
use moral dilemmas in their writings to retain the reader s interest in the book or play and to have the
reader ask questions. People often face many life altering choices such as right versus wrong or good
versus bad. In The Crucible, by Arthur Miller, John Proctor chooses to die because he does not want to
blacken his name throughout Salem and to ruin his sons names when they grow up. John Proctor faces
one of his many moral dilemmas to confess to witchcraft in order to stay alive. In making this decision

The second moral dilemma John Proctor faces is to tell the truth and die as an honest man. He has the
choice to either lie in order to live or die with his friends in an honourable way. Proctor realizes that if
he choses to tell the truth he will no longer be the sinful man he thought he is, but would keep his
name in good standing and be a good role model for his sons. I have three children how may I teach
them to walk like men in the world, and I sold my friends? (IV.I). If John chooses to live he will be
looked upon by his friends and family as a liar and an unmoral man. He will not be able to function in
the Puritan society, so he comes to the conclusion to tell the truth and be put to death. He believes God
will save him because he is doing the right thing by choosing to die and he will be remembered for his
dignity. His wife Elizabeth watches the hanging and says, He have his goodness now. God forbid I
take it from him! (IV.I). As Proctor is about to be hanged, sunlight shines throughout the town
representing John made the right decision and he will be going to God. After all, John Proctor does
give up his life, but he knows he saves his sons from walking around with a tainted name and keeps
the names of his friends clean, not betraying them. John Proctor chooses to die by telling the truth and

Manzana Insurance Company

Executive Summary
Fruitvale s core management problem is the low performance due to an unacceptable long turnaround
times (TAT). Especially because of the late Renewals many of Fruitvale´s customers are turning to its
major competitor Golden Gate. The operating performance needs to be improved by eradicating the
bottleneck in Underwriting. This will be achieved by restructuring and simplifying the process.
Through our solution we are going to achieve a new TAT of 0,518 days (3:53 hours). Thereby we hope
to recapture the lost market share and satisfy our customers. In average all daily incoming insurance
requests will be processed in an extremely ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An UT will therefore underwrite two requests. After underwriting both each team member will rate
one of the two requests. It is important that the DCs distribute similar requests in terms of rating time
to one certain UT. Due to the fusion of step two and three 25% (time savings in writing and getting
into the case) or more of rating time will be saved. In order to stay within a save margin we reduced
the weighted average rating time by 25% and added this to the weighted average time of underwriting.
We divided the weighting time of the first request lying on the desk while the second is being
processed on both requests. In average 12 requests will be processed by the UTs every 109.6 minutes.
Every 54.8 minutes (109.6/2 min) 6 requests can be processed by the policy writing department.
Hence the average service rate in step two and three is the same. This would also increase productivity
by decreasing queuing time.
Including all these changes our calculations lead to a TAT of 3:53 hours (see Apendix)
We will not set priorities on certain products (RUNs, RERUNs, RAPs, RAINs). We will rather
implement FIFO for all products, independent of the profit generated. In order to motivate the
employees to do so Salary/Plus can set incentives by rewarding an increase of the weighted average
time needed to process a request. This is also a very fair solution with regard to the clients.

detractors. This argument has been resurrected in the wake of school shootings, most notably
Columbine and Erfurt, Germany; and acts of random violence by teenagers, the murders of two
Dartmouth professors. Parents, teachers, pediatricians, child psychiatrists, and FCC Chairmen William
Kennard and former Vice President Al Gore say violent TV programming contribute in large part to in
violence in young people today. However, broadcasters and major cable TV providers like Cox
Communication say that it is the parent s fault for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some 2,500 years ago the same essential questions were asked about drama acted by live actors in
theatrical presentations.
Let s take a look at the tale of the tape of individuals who are involved in this argument. The persons
against media violence: parent, teachers, pediatricians, and child psychiatrists have a logos advantage
over the persons who say media violence is not a problem: major TV network and cable providers;
because of the large amount of statically data that backs up their claim that violence influences violent
behavior. The major TV network and cable providers also have statistical data that backs up their
claim, but unlike those who are against them their statistical data is often conducted in house which
leaves many wondering about the accuracy of the data. Major TV network and cable providers often
use the First Amendment to make up what they lack in statistical data. The parent, teachers,
pediatricians, and child psychiatrists support each other where as major TV network and cable
providers often pass the blame onto each other as if they were playing a game of hot potato, which
once again leaves one wondering about the credibility of their claim that violence on TV is not that big
of a problem and there are measures in place to protect children. Parent, teachers, pediatricians, and
child psychiatrists also have a pathos advantage over major TV network

Music And Classical Music
Classical music has been around for centuries, beginning ever since people could put notes onto paper.
The art of fully notating and performing compositions shaped classical music to become iconic pieces
in modern day society. This music can be defined in many ways; one specifically is categorizing it as
the common practice period. The Oxford Dictionary of Music uses this term to define a period
encompassing the baroque (1600 1750), classic (1750 1830), and romantic (1830 1900) eras. Between
the 17th and 20th centuries, famous composers such as Mozart and Beethoven combined the two
common practices of voice leading and harmonic conventions to create the unique sounds of classical
music (Tymoczko 213). Through this period, the birth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A live orchestra was recorded playing various pieces composed by Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky,
and many others (Clague, 2004, pp. 91 93). Fast forward 9 years, Looney Tunes released a short
cartoon titled Rabbit of Seville inspired by and featuring Rossini s composition Barber of Seville. This
came almost 150 years after the piece was first performed yet became an iconic tune to those who
watched the cartoon (Roberts, 2017). Then in 1968 Strauss piece Also Sprach Zarathustra boomed in
theaters in the opening credits of 2001: A Space Odyssey (Wise, 2014). These three examples show
how well known media used classical compositions successfully. Although the pieces were, at one
point, not familiar to their audience, after constant exposure they became a part of their musical
knowledge. The recognizability of each song allowed connections and associations to be made so that
even if the film was not being shown, the listener could link it to what movie it was from.
The ability for teenagers to recognize classical hits is illustrated in a study done by Kimberly
VanWeelden (2012), a music professor at Florida State University. In the preface of her experiment,
VanWeelden (2012) mentioned how using classical repertoire created paired associations for listeners
(p. 14). Essentially, society has grown accustomed to hearing classical pieces and now associate them
with certain feelings. Marketers and producers use

The Effects Of Social Anxiety On Higher Education
To begin we take a look at two studies that were done on college students and the effects of social
anxiety in higher education, researchers were able to conclude that social anxiety does have an impact
on the wellbeing and success of students in each study. In our first study, students from Sydney,
Australia, were accessed using many psychological tests, scales, and inventories to obtain scores for
accurate study. The topic of the study is Impairments in Goal directed actions that predict treatment
response to cognitive behavioral therapy in social anxiety. The participants who were involved gave
written consent to be a part of this study, and those who were on medications were properly stabilized
before participation began. This study involved showing participants fractal images of food as a
reward to measure goal directed actions in predicting treatment response to cognitive behavioral
therapy (Alvares, G. A., Balleine, B. W., Guastella, A. J. (2014). Anxiety has been argued to be related
to an inability to process rewarding information appropriately to guide actions (Alvares, et. al, 2014)
and changes in outcome values (Alvares, et.al, 2014). The results found that those who had a social
anxiety disorder showed higher impairments in goal directed action that predicted poorer response to
treatment (Alvares, et.al, 2014). The participants were given a test of how much a reward affected the
outcome of goal directed actions. Those who kept responding even after

International Trade of Developing Countries
International trade of developing countries is the classic weak vs. strong dichotomy, and
underdeveloped or developing countries cannot make it solely on their own efforts; the have nots need
help from the haves. Developed nations trumpet the claim that the answer to developing nations
international trade issues is untrammeled or open market activity as opposed to government
intervention by developed nations governments. This begs the question as to what extent the
governments of developed nations are or should be responsible for supporting developing countries
growth in international trading markets. Often the protectionist actions of developed nations
governments to enhance their own international trading activities are the very ... Show more content

511):
Recent literature on international trade negotiation accords considerable attention to the ways in which
developing countries increasingly coalesce to effect gains for themselves in negotiation, mostly with
the developed world. This is both appropriate and important: from the Uruguay Round to the Doha
Round, coalitions have facilitated the gains (and, at times, the losses) made by the weak against the
strong. (Singh, 2006, p. 499).
Regional agreements and export import aid by developed nations to developing nations have provided
some relief through the U.S. Export Import Bank (Ex Im Bank), the North American Free Trade
Agreement (NAFTA), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the European
Union/Common Market, among others (Carbaugh, 2013).
Import Substitution and Export led Growth
The two key approaches by developing nations to implement their own trade policies are import
substitution and export led growth. Import substitution strategy is inward oriented: trade and industrial
incentives favor the domestic market over the export market of developing nations, a strategy utilized
extensively in Latin America by Argentine, Brazil, and Mexico (Carbaugh, 2013, p. 247). Advantages
of this approach include:
Risks of developing the domestic industry to replace imports are low because the market already

What Caused The Seven Year War
The Seven Year War going from 1756 to 1763, was the first global war, which starts in North America
and spreads to Europe and all around the world. It begins when Britain declares war on France.
Imperial rivals, France and Britain struggled for supremacy. Early in the war, The French (helped by
Canadian militia and Aboriginal allies) defeated a number of British attacks and captured several
British forts. This war laid the bicultural foundations of modern Canada.
The Seven Year War was caused by ongoing tension between Great Britain and France. Also, Russian
and Austrian fears of Prussia s growing power in Europe. It ended up to further colonial supremacy for
Great Britain and much acknowledgment of Prussia as a major European power. Prussia

Using Dr. Philip Guo s OPT to Teach EECS 338 Concepts Dr. Philip Guo, a professor at the
University of Rochester, developed a tool to teach students programming and programming language
concepts. This tool is called the Online Python Tutor, or OPT for short. It is a way in which people
who want to learn how to write python or other programming languages can not only learn the syntax
of the language, but also see a visual representation of how the code operates. In this online tutoring
application, the code s compilation is shown in frames and objects. This sort of organization can also

Labour Force Survey, 2010 the rate of unemployment stood at 4.5 percent in 2010 which was 4.3
percent in 1999 2000. Furthermore, one of the most crucial findings is that the rate of unemployment
for female has been decreasing; on the other hand, this rate has been increasing for male in the
mentioned period (Basak,2013). For the female, the rates of unemployment were 7.8 percent and 5.8
percent in 1999 2000 and 2010 respectively, whereas those were 3.4 percent and 4.1 percent for male

what number was that again? I said. Number three, Trista. My neighbor answered me, so I fumbled
with my papers to find the right page. After about a decade, I finally found it, but the teacher had
already moved on to the next student. I can t believe I was so zoned out. I m kind of used to it by now.

Implication of Schizotypy as a Personality Trait Essay
Implication of Schizotypy as a Personality Trait
Gruzelier (1996) suggest that schizotypy consists mainly of impulsive non conformity, social anxiety,
positive features such as unusual perceptions, and negative features such as introversions. (Cited in
Miller P, et al. 2002, p.179).
In this essay one would like to explore the definition given to schizotypy and to give a brief discussion
on this concept and whether schizotypy is a single trait or whether there are more factors to be
considered, for it was conceptualized by Eysenck as a single personality trait named psychoticism,
however it was Claridge s work that suggested that this personality trait was much more complex, and

146). It was also suggested by Cooper that the concept of schizotypy, therefore, is said to have much
in common with Eysenck s idea of psychoticism. (Psychoticism is one of the three traits used by the
psychologist Hans Eysenck in his P E N model (psychoticism, extraversion and neuroticism) model of
personality. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Mental_illness_diagnosis_by_DSM_and_ISCDRHP 20k
) Both these traits are thought to predict the risk of developing schizophrenia, but researchers such as
Claridge have tried to predetermine all the main symptoms of schizophrenia from the clinical to the
non clinical population. It was said that Eysenck focused more on impulsive, sensation seeking, cruel
and solitary behaviors, who only mildly referred to the perceptual distortions or cognitive and
attention problems. Therefore he concluded that even if the traits have some similarities, they are
unlikely to be identical. (Cooper, 2002, pp. 146 7).
To determine whether schizotypy is a single trait can be complicated in the fact that if a personality
disorder description should include, at minimum, criteria relevant
To a person s characteristic patterns e.g. 1) thought, 2) affectivity,
3) motivation, and 4) behavior, the question that arisen to Westen, D., and Shedler, J. when

Traditional Policing Vs Community Policing Research Paper

benefits of community policing?
Community policing is a strategy of policing that focuses on building the police relations with the
community by working closely with them It s a policy that requires them to succeed to using a
proactive method to address public safety apprehensions such as crime, social disorder, and fear.

The police must provide special services when encountered with these members. Sometimes they do
not need protection from themselves and each other but from other people in the society as well. The
young population is some tough ones to deal with just because they are so young and they haven t
developed yet to their full capacity. They are vulnerable and the way they are being encountered does
influence them a lot. Therefore, it is very important that police officers are trained in working with the
young population when handling them. Officers should be patient and have some sense of humor that
the young can relate to just to make them loosen up a bit. Police officers can go to youth programs and
be part of it and understand the developmental changes that the youth faces so they know what they
are going through. When it comes to dealing with elderly, you have to consider the mental state and
physical health before encountering them. The officers should have patience and compassion when
dealing with an elderly. They are older and sometimes they may not understand and move as fast as
one think they supposed to just because they are grown. The police can give them some sense of
respect instead of ordering and try to control them. They are grown and they will want to feel that they
are still in control of their own life. Sometimes elderly persons just want somebody to talk to. For

  • 2. Essay To Be A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Deciding to be a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer was not an easy or fast decision. Like everything else in life, my decision was gradual and time consuming. However, being involved in the medical field was always something that I longed to do. Most other kids want to be a firefighter, police man, or President of the United States. For me I always knew that my heart belonged in the hospital. It all started in the 4th grade. That s when I knew that being in the medical field is what I ve always wanted to do. This day, my 4th grade teacher gave us an assignment while learning science. We were specifically learning about the heart and it s 4 chambers. This subject, I remember, was so captivating and fascinating for me. I soaked in all the information I got from this class extremely easily. It was unlike any of the other classes that I have taken thus far. Math, literature and history were not subjects that I thought were very interesting for me but science was something that I especially excelled in. As the years went by I learned that I was especially had an interest in forensics. The ability to see the open body one on one in the fashion that forensics get to have contact with a body was more than interesting for me. So at the age of 12, I decided that forensics was what I was gonna put my mind to. The first thing I did was let my mother know that I finally have an idea of where I was going with my life. Unfortunately, she completely disliked the idea of me ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. There Are Two Main Issues In The Philosophy Of Religion There are two main issues in the philosophy of religion that focus on the existence of God. First and foremost, there are four arguments that describes the philosophy of religion which are cosmological arguments, ontological arguments and teleological arguments. Cosmological idea are empirical a posteriori arguments based on experience and sense perception. Our experience of the world shows God as the cause, creator or ultimate explanation of the word. Ontological concept are rational a posteriori arguments based on the pure reason, independently of sense experience. The definition or essence of God, the sort of being God is requires its existence. The third concept is teleological argument which is empirical a posteriori arguments also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The definition or essence of God s the sort of being God is requires His existence. God is the supremely perfect being. Decastes knows this because he clearly and distinctly apprehends the essence of God. The essence of supremely perfect being includes His existence. In the same, the essence of a triangle is that the sum of its interior angle equals 180 degree, hence this definitely concludes that God s existence. St.Anselm s ontological arguments describes that God is the greatest possible being. What exists in reality is greater than what exists only in the mind. Real things are metaphysically superior to imaginary things. If the great possible being exists only in the mind, then there is a being greater than the greatest possible being. Namely, one that exists in reality. This is contradiction, there cannot be a being greater than greatest possible being. Therefore, the greatest possible being must exist in reality thus, God is real. Kant s and Russell s have a different objection to ontological arguments that the existence is not a property or a quality of a thing that some entity can have or not have. For example, there is a logic of existence of these claims. To say x exist is to say there is an x such that the sentence x exist is true. What makes the sentence x exist true is the presence of the existence. It is clear evidence that God has special attributes that is common to Him and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Application Of Access Control System Introduction Access control is one of the earliest problems in computer security and remains a continuing challenge. Access control component determines whether requests to access resources are granted. 1. Discretionary access control In Discretionary Access Control any user can set an entrance control instrument to permit or deny access to an object. DAC relies on the object proprietor to control access. It is generally executed in most working frameworks, and is very familiar access control method. Flexibility is a strength of DAC and a key motivation behind why it is broadly known and actualized in standard working frame. A discretionary access control (DAC) arrangement is a method for appointing access rights in light of tenets predetermined by clients. This class of approaches incorporates the record consents model actualized by almost every single working framework. In Unix, for instance, a catalog posting may yield ... rwxr xr x ... file.txt , implying that the proprietor of file.txt may read, compose, or execute it, and that different clients may read or execute the document yet not compose it. The arrangement of access rights in this case is {read, compose, execute}, and the working framework intercedes all solicitations to perform any of these activities. Clients may change the consents on documents they possess, making this an optional strategy. A system actualizing a DAC approach must have the capacity to answer the inquiry: Does subject S have right R for item O? Abstractly, the data expected to answer this inquiry can be spoken to as a scientific connection D on subjects, protests, and rights: if (S, O, and R) is in D, then S has right R for article O; generally, S does not. All the more basically, the same data could likewise be spoken to as an entrance control network. Every column of the grid relates to a subject and every segment to an article. Every cell of the framework contains an arrangement of rights. Example file1 file2 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Lord blessed me with Christian parents and the opportunity to grow up always hearing the Word. We are members of New City Fellowship of Fredericksburg. We actively participate in worship, small groups, Bible study and serving where the Lord calls us. We assisted the Ferguson family in helping take care of their two boys and newborn daughter, clearing and preparing their garden, making and canning pasta sauce, making a concrete driveway and helping rebuild their shed. Because we were staying in the Therapy center and were very far from any cities, we ate our meals in the nearby castle where we had a cook prepare our meals. The trip also furthered my knowledge of God s word and love and how to share it with others. • 7. Challenges Of Bre-X Challenges for Bre X Minerals in Indonesia Bre X Minerals Ltd. faced numerous challenges in 1996, largest among them being the potential loss of the majority stake in property that could yield upwards of 100 million ounces of gold. The Indonesian government was threatening to redistribute ownership of Busang, the mining region in which Bre X had property rights, due to its fear that Bre X was a short term player not serious about extracting the gold or a long term commitment in Indonesia. These fears were justified given Bre X s small size (it had a net loss of $Cdn. 366,677 in 1995 compared to a net income of $Cdn. 218 million from Barrick Gold Corp., a potential government corporate partner) and limited connections within the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Indonesian government has shown, through its interactions with Bre X, that it is easily influenced by the demands of President Suharto s family and by pressures from respected individuals. For example, the Barrick proposal received endorsement from the government only after Barrick hired Suharto s daughter (Tutut) and encouragement from former U.S. President George Bush and former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. Despite making an alliance with PT Panutan Duta in late October, Bre X was late in recognizing the importance of relationship building in conducting business in Indonesia. With only eight days to negotiate the deal with Barrick, Bre X does not have time to develop the necessary connections to succeed in Indonesia without a competent partner. Strong property rights are an essential component in any successful market economy. Although Indonesia has regulations regarding mineral exploration and extraction, the government has found ways to manipulate the regulations to best serve its interests. Making it through the various stages of mining approval requires complex paperwork and numerous negotiations with various government offices. Bre X had navigated this system and received a Contract of Work (CoW) to mine the Southeast Zone. However, after Kuntoro Mangkusubroto declined to revoke Bre X s CoW, Sudjana had transferred the ... Written around 350s B.C., the main character Solon, travels to Egypt and learns of Atlantis by priests (Writer873). He claimed his dialogues to be true records (Atlantis Subplots). Timaeus explains Atlantis was the island situated in front of the straits, which are by you called Pillars of Herakles; the island was larger than Libya and Asia put together (Plato). The secrets, including the culture, of Atlantis are fascinating in the way Plato illustrates the city. Atlanteans were far more advanced than any civilization during their time, not to be mistaken with Atlanteans being more advanced than any civilization during our time. Atlantis culture is explained in Critias by a great amount within it s pages and it is extraordinary how the people behaved so civil and orderly back then. The first thing the reader will learn in reading Critias is Atlantis is ancient, ancient as in 9000 years (Plato). It s no wonder Atlanteans became far more advanced than Athenians and other neighboring ancient cities. The empire had time to form a stable society and conduct new ways to make life easier. The other detail in Critias is Athens was in command one side and fought through the whole war, and in command of the other side were the kings of the island of Atlantis (Plato). • 9. The State Of Michigan Is A Word Formed By The Ojibwa Tribe Water Essay: The state of Michigan is also called mishigamaa which was a word formed by the Ojibwa tribe. Mishigamaa means large water or large lake. This state is known for its large and beautiful bodies of water. In my experiences, I have noticed that Michigan has extremely fresh and clean, large bodies of water in comparison to other Midwest states. Michigan involves two peninsulas, the Upper and Lower Peninsula. They are separated by the Straits of Mackinac and a few nearby islands. The Straits of Mackinac connects two of the Great Lakes; Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. They are connected by the Mackinac Bridge. Michigan covers 58,110 square miles of land, 38,575 spare miles of the Great Lakes and 1,305 square miles of inland waters (2015 pg.1). The water cycle represents how water is exchanged and cycled through Earth s land, oceans, and atmosphere (2010 pg.1). Evaporation, condensation, and precipitation are all three main factors within the water cycle. Evaporation occurs when a liquids surface changes to gas. For example, when water from rivers, oceans or lakes evaporate, it becomes water vapor. Condensation occurs when gas changes to a liquid. For example, clouds form when water vapor condescends. Precipitation is described as any liquid or solid water that falls to earth from above. A great and simple example would be rain, snow or hail (2010 pg.1). Within the water cycle, there are three states of water: solid, liquid and gas. Most of Earth s freshwater is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I have seen some other Native dancers at different events but never formal powwows. I have always wanted to see more, but I have never had an opportunity to see another one. So, when I saw I had an assignment where I was required to go to an American Indian event, I knew I wanted to see another powwow. I looked on the Oklahoma Tourism website and found the nearest one to where I live. It was the Restoring Harmony / Stand to Power Powwow at the Westside YMCA in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The regalia that the dancers were wearing was absolutely beautiful and the amount of craftsmanship that some of them put in were awe inspiring. I watched several of the dance contests. The Tiny Tots contest was so adorable and was great to see such young children actively participating in their culture. Another favorite was what they called the Golden Age dancers, where community elders took the stage. It meant so much to them, which was very profound. One of the older women looked very similar to my grandmother and reminded me of her. The centerpiece of the entire celebration of when the men s fancy dance contest occurred. These were people at the top of their craft dressed in beautiful regalia. The realization that really struck me was just how modern a lot of the clothing and items were. Some dancers wore noticeable machine made pieces; other wore bright neon colors that do not exist in nature. I remember the powwow (probably a little over a decade ago), where most of clothing was hand sewn and beaded. • 12. The Between Edouard Vuillard s Interior With A Screen (... The art world has been host to a vast menagerie of talent, intellect, and creativity for about as long as human culture has existed. It has grown, developed, and changed just as humanity has. Naturally, with such an impressively expansive history, various avenues of art are visited time and time again by new artists. Artists seek not only to bring their own personal flavor and meaning to timeless concepts, but to find new ways to approach them. While not every single creator and craftsman can make such a great impact on art or the world, their efforts have given birth to some truly magnificent and unique works. In an effort to create a more meaningful understanding, as well a deeper appreciation, of the nuances, techniques, and design choices employed in these attempts, a comparison will be made between Edouard Vuillard s Interior With a Screen (1909 1910) and Henri Matisse s Blue Nude (Souvenir of Biskra) (1907). In this essay, each artist s approach to the subject of the female nude will be closely analyzed, compared, and contrasted, as will their styles of painting, handling of visual elements, and their use of the principles of design. An interpretation of each work and what the artist intended when creating it will also be provided. The analysis of these paintings will begin with Vuillard s oil painting Interior With a Screen. This piece depicts a female nude placed in the interior a large and furnished room; the woman appears to be slightly hunched over ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. Analysis Of The Episode Chirp Looking back at the episode, it seemed clear to me that the three families that were presented in the Modern Family episode Chirp, had dilemmas. Each family had to face their own conflicts, which in different ways gets resolved in the end. These family problems in this episode includes couples not listening to each other, son not getting attention, and even the husband who struggles to show his manly side. Although the episode talks about all three families, they mainly had their own story line. These conflicts start with one member of the family; in this episode it is the man. In the beginning of the episode, the Dunphy Family had trouble with the smoke detectors. Phil Dunphy, who is the man of the family, struggles to tackle which detector is making the low battery sound. With little success, he feels like he isn t capable of even a simple task that s generally completed by men. He feels like he is losing his masculinity every time the smoke detectors chirp, which is literally driving him nuts. Later, the gay couple, Mitchell and Cameron lightly argue whether to take their adopted daughter to act in a commercial. Mitchell, which happens to make the income to provide for the family, denies Cameron s request. Cameron complains that he makes all the decisions because he makes the income, and gets more say for the family. To prove that he is not going to let that stop him, he takes their daughter to act, despite what Mitchell had against it. Lastly the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Due to the fusion of step two and three 25% (time savings in writing and getting into the case) or more of rating time will be saved. In order to stay within a save margin we reduced the weighted average rating time by 25% and added this to the weighted average time of underwriting. We divided the weighting time of the first request lying on the desk while the second is being processed on both requests. In average 12 requests will be processed by the UTs every 109.6 minutes. The Oxford Dictionary of Music uses this term to define a period encompassing the baroque (1600 1750), classic (1750 1830), and romantic (1830 1900) eras. This came almost 150 years after the piece was first performed yet became an iconic tune to those who watched the cartoon (Roberts, 2017). Then in 1968 Strauss piece Also Sprach Zarathustra boomed in theaters in the opening credits of 2001: A Space Odyssey (Wise, 2014). The Effects Of Social Anxiety On Higher Education To begin we take a look at two studies that were done on college students and the effects of social anxiety in higher education, researchers were able to conclude that social anxiety does have an impact on the wellbeing and success of students in each study. In our first study, students from Sydney, Australia, were accessed using many psychological tests, scales, and inventories to obtain scores for accurate study. The topic of the study is Impairments in Goal directed actions that predict treatment response to cognitive behavioral therapy in social anxiety. The participants who were involved gave written consent to be a part of this study, and those who were on medications were properly stabilized before participation began. This study involved showing participants fractal images of food as a reward to measure goal directed actions in predicting treatment response to cognitive behavioral therapy (Alvares, G. Anxiety has been argued to be related to an inability to process rewarding information appropriately to guide actions (Alvares, et. al, 2014) and changes in outcome values (Alvares, et.al, 2014). The results found that those who had a social anxiety disorder showed higher impairments in goal directed action that predicted poorer response to treatment (Alvares, et.al, 2014).
