This document summarizes a study on the information seeking behavior of youth at the Bellville Public Library in South Africa. Questionnaires were given to 30 young people visiting the library, of which 90% responded. The findings showed that most youth went directly to the librarian for help rather than searching the catalog themselves. They sought information for school projects and used library books and computers. The recommendations call for library literacy programs and more active librarian involvement to help guide youth in their information searching.
