This document discusses using Skype for synchronous English teaching and learning. It describes using Skype to project reading passages and activities for an IELTS preparation course. The teacher analyzes activities with students and elicits responses about reading passages. The course involves three activities for each of three IELTS academic reading passages to resemble the test format. Reflecting on implications, the teacher plans to research fast reading techniques and talk to experienced online IELTS teachers.
