Scriptwriting Techniques
Please get into the following groups:

• In your groups Log into Moodle and go to today’s lesson for Editing
• Go through activity in your groups and answer questions
Write a target on a post it explaining how you will achieve
one of the Learning Outcomes below:
be able to demonstrate you have considered creative
editing techniques in your edit planning.
be able use a professional script format to demonstrate
planning for creative editing techniques.
evaluate why you have made edit decisions and how
they affect the audience’s perception.

Analyse how the scriptwriter has
planned for filming and editing in
the script.
Make judgements about why they
have used techniques using
evidence to prove your thoughts.
In your groups Discuss and Generate Ideas
• Discuss filming or editing
techniques could you use in your
film and the impact of them on
audience.
• How will you evidence this in your
script? Give examples of what you
will do.
TASK- write your script
• Use your story to create your script.
• Add editing techniques to your script
using the correct script format.
• Try to do this using the knowledge you
have learnt today, but if you need extra
guidance use the Moodle lesson to help
you.

  • 1. Planning for an Edit Scriptwriting Techniques
  • 2. Please get into the following groups: • Group 1- Priyanka, Fran, Emily, • Group 2- Matt, Georgia, Aurora, Serena • Group 3- Louisa, Courtney, Jade • In your groups Log into Moodle and go to today’s lesson for Editing • Go through activity in your groups and answer questions
  • 3. Write a target on a post it explaining how you will achieve one of the Learning Outcomes below: be able to demonstrate you have considered creative editing techniques in your edit planning. be able use a professional script format to demonstrate planning for creative editing techniques. evaluate why you have made edit decisions and how they affect the audience’s perception. MUST SHOULD COULD
  • 4. In your groups Annotate, Discuss and Share Analyse how the scriptwriter has planned for filming and editing in the script. Make judgements about why they have used techniques using evidence to prove your thoughts.
  • 5. In your groups Discuss and Generate Ideas • Discuss filming or editing techniques could you use in your film and the impact of them on audience. • How will you evidence this in your script? Give examples of what you will do.
  • 6. TASK- write your script • Use your story to create your script. • Add editing techniques to your script using the correct script format. • Try to do this using the knowledge you have learnt today, but if you need extra guidance use the Moodle lesson to help you.
  • 7.
