Anna Brown created a mask from faux leather material. She cut out pieces for the structure using a stencil and paper template. The pieces were stitched together and folded to form the beak shape, but additional grey board was added to make the mask more sturdy. The board was glued to the fabric pieces. Additional material was later added around the edges and eye holes to prevent sagging and make the mask more durable. Different stitching techniques like backstitch and overcast stitch were used during construction. Photos were taken of the mask being tested on a face.
