This document outlines 6 proposed shots for a photography plan. Shot 1 is a long shot landscape of Dennis Street/Piccadilly in York without characters or props. Shot 2 is an establishing shot of Church Street/Patrick Pool in York without characters or props to pay respect to local music history. Shot 3 is an establishing shot of Micklegate in York, a popular bar for young people, without characters or props. Shot 4 is an over the shoulder shot inside college looking down at the robots holding a guitar. Shot 5 is a long low-angle shot inside the college dance studio of the robots holding a guitar and drink. Shot 6 is a mid-shot inside college of the robots, one looking at the camera and one on

2. Shot 1
Shot: Long Shot (Urban landscape). This fits in
with our style which we have inherited from
the Arctic Monkeys style, this will make the
audience completely satisfied with the overall
product
Angle: Straight. This will make the image more
professional.
Characters: None (This will be a landscape
shot) so there will be no costume alongside
this.
Location: Dennis Street/ Piccadilly, York
Props: None but the robots we’ll use for the
music video may be used in the shot or edited
in using Adobe Photoshop

3. Shot 2
Shot: Establishing Shot.
Angle: Straight ( a low angle will be tested to
see which looks better overall). This image will
tie to the advertisement we’ll also produce as
it’s generally the norm for bands to use the
same cover art for multiple media’s. Smaller
bands and mainstream bands do use this
feature all the time with their tour posters. As
seen in my research.
Characters: None (this is a landscape shot) so
there will be no costumes or props included.
Location: Church Street/ Patrick Pool, York.
The reason for the choosing the location of this
street is because this street is home to a small
music shop which sells mostly Vinyl records so
it gives us chance to pay respect to past
musicians within the project. It also gives a
chance for the surroundings to link in with
music as well as the street style.

4. Shot 3
Shot: Establishing Shot.
Angle: Straight (a low angle will be tested to see
which looks better overall). It’s the general norm
for a fan base to get a feel for the album so it
sinks in to what the album looks like
Characters: None (this is a landscape shot) so
there will be no costumes or props included. We
wanted a bit of a change coming from the shots
we’ve planned out already so we thought with
the Bar Walls right next to this bar, it could be a
good opportunity to go against the norm and try
something different with our digi-pack. This shot
also will fit in with the target audience of teens to
25 year olds as the teen and street culture are
associated with drinking and this bar is a symbol
of their youth.
Location: Micklegate, York.
The reason for the choosing the location of this
street is because this is a well known bar among
young people which plays Rock music as well as
live rock music.

5. Shot 4
Shot: Over the shoulder
Angle: High because we’ve talked within the
group and noticed that on occasion band use
Point Of View methods within the digi-pack,
generally going against the norm where Arctic
Monkeys is a prime example with their first studio
album so we’ve discussed doing something along
these lines where we’ll go against the norm but in
a different way. This is also a great idea as it
shows a relationship between two characters
which we are trying to convey in our video.
Direction: looking down.
Characters: The robots we’re going to be using in
the music video. (they’ll be edited in during post
production).
Props: Guitar.
Location: inside college.
We wanted a bit of change to the previous shots
shot we decided as a group it would be a good
idea to have a different idea where we’ll use the
robots made for the video and attach them in
some way to the digipack as well.

6. Shot 5
Shot: Long Shot.
Angle: Low Angle. Through films and Television they’ve
created and captured great moments. The digi pack for other
albums such as Evanesence’s self titled album has these types
of images in them which did create an interesting
atmosphere, not just for the images but for the album
surrounding it. This shot give the two characters a chance to
appear as strong dominant characters giving them both
significance to the album and video.
Direction: looking straight.
Characters: The robots we’re going to be using in the music
video.
Props: Guitar./ drink
Location: inside college. The Dance Studio - so the area will
look like a dance floor.
It typically goes against the norm for the digi-pack images but
due to the research, I’ve found that not everyone found the
image of a band on the front cover pleasing, so as a result
we’ve decided to go against the norm with the typical photos
as well and do something different with the images such as
have various camera shots and angles. instead of having the
characters on the front cover the decision to put them in the
digi-pack instead is approved.

7. Shot 6
Shot: Mid-Shot.
Angle: High.
Direction: One robot looking straight at the
camera, another standing on it’s side. The
main reason for this choice because part of my
group have already researched and seen it
used in various magazines (Kerrang and
Rocksound) as well as using it in previous
media coursework last year.
Characters: The robots we’re going to be using
in the music video.
Props: Guitar./ Drink
Location: inside college.
