This document summarizes a process for recovering platinum group metals (PGMs) like platinum, palladium, and rhodium from spent catalytic converters and other waste streams. The process uses advanced induction smelting technology to extract a concentrated metal alloy from the catalysts. This alloy is further refined and then reintroduced into the precious metals industry supply chain. Key benefits include lower costs than competitors and producing a vitrified ceramic byproduct that can be reused. Testing in Germany showed the recovery process works effectively.
