Persuasive Essay Writer
Crafting a persuasive essay on the topic of being a "Persuasive Essay Writer" poses a unique
challenge. The irony lies in the intricate dance between asserting your own persuasive prowess
while exemplifying it through the very act of writing about it. This task demands a delicate
balance between self-promotion and genuine, convincing argumentation.
To start with, the inherent paradox of convincing the audience of your skills in persuasive writing
requires a certain level of self-awareness. It's a fine line to walk, as overt self-praise can risk
coming across as arrogant, while modesty may undermine the persuasive intent. Striking this
balance involves navigating through the nuances of tone, acknowledging strengths without
overshadowing the core message.
Moreover, addressing the expectations of the reader adds another layer of complexity. A
persuasive essay typically aims to influence opinions or inspire action. In this case, the writer
must not only showcase their proficiency in persuasion but also engage the audience in a way
that reflects the principles they advocate for. The challenge is not just in presenting an argument
but in doing so in a manner that resonates with the readers' values and beliefs.
The introspective nature of the topic further complicates the task. The writer must delve into
their own writing process, habits, and strategies. This self-analysis requires a certain level of
vulnerability, as the writer may need to share personal challenges and triumphs in becoming a
persuasive essay writer. Navigating this introspective journey while maintaining a persuasive
tone adds layers to the complexity of the essay.
In conclusion, tackling an essay on being a persuasive essay writer demands finesse in navigating
the delicate balance of self-promotion and humility. It necessitates an acute awareness of the
audience's expectations and an ability to connect with them on a personal level. Navigating the
internal landscape of one's writing process adds an additional layer of intricacy. It is indeed a
challenging endeavor that requires a skillful blend of self-reflection and persuasive prowess.

Analysis of The Charge of the Light Brigade Essay
Analysis of The Charge of the Light Brigade
This particular poem deals with the unfortunate mistake of Battle of
Balaclava in 1854. In an attempt to retrieve their stolen firearms, the British, lead by
Lord Raglen, took their light cavalry to the innocent Turkish territory, rather than the
guilty Russians. In self defence Turkey protect themselves by attacking the British
troops causing hundreds of deaths but not, not the six hundred .
Tennyson uses various techniques to involve the reader more personally. He uses
this to emphasise the pain and suffering felt by the soldiers so the reader can really
appreciate the physical defeat but the emotional victory from the noble six hundred .
The use of onomatopoeia in poems is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The cavalry retreat back through the valley where they had previously been. This is
shown by the repetition of most of stanza three. The final canto concludes the Battle
of Balaclava and
Tennyson s thoughts of war are confirmed. Although he finds the reason for their
fighting, unwise, calling their charge wild . However, he adds that the Light Brigade
and their charge should be held in
honour even though he agrees with the fruitlessness of war. This reflects thoughts of
people who find war ineffective but they will realise that the noble six hundred should
be held in high esteem and respect. Although the Light Brigade lost the battle they
won the moral victory over their critics.
Tennyson questions the authority of war in The Charge of the Light
Brigade . He wrote this poem based on the Battle of Balaclava because a huge
mistake was made by the authoritative figure, Lord Raglen, which caused many
deaths. Although the troops knew some one had blunder d , they did not question it.
He wants to show that even though a person is higher, richer or more powerful than
other they can still be vulnerable in making errors. This questions Victorian authority
and whether they are making the right decision concerning the lives of British people.
Poets in the twentieth century have also taken this argument into account most
namely in Siegfried Sassoon s
The General where their leader is described as an incompetent swine . The repetition
Cosplay Imperialism
Cosplay, short for costume play , is a performance art in which people called
cosplayers wear costumes and specific accessories and props to represent or portray a
specific fictional character. It is a unique Japanese form of art which, playing upon
the identificatory fantasy, it enables the western participants to assume identities and
to differentiate themselves in ways which western culturecannot. The average
cosplayer is not just putting on a costume; the experience is one of rebirth, an identity
transformation. Daniel s (2010) paper determines whether cosplay is a demonstration
of cultural imperialism of cultural hybridity. Lotecki (2012) and Hale s (2014) paper
examines the creative, emotional, social, and behavioural processes in which
cosplayers participate while interpreting and constructing their characters, including
the differentiation between fiction and reality, and... Show more content on

All three papers examine cosplay as another identity portrayed in art form in North
America. Cosplay help people with low self esteem by improving communication
skills, creativity, and the perception of body image.
Cosplay can increase confidence through social interaction and communication.
Modern trends of declining community interaction and a fading sense of social
belonging have created gaps that fan cultures are able to fill by providing a space
for community and acceptance. Cosplay is a social activity that takes place in
specific environments, such as anime, manga, and sci fi conventions, club meetings,
karaoke events and so on. These events are socially defined sites of activity for
cosplayers, where one can find peers with similar interests, sign up in a variety of
performances, and actively participate within the community. Conventions hold
certain events that are made specifically for cosplayers: the Masquerade and the Hall
Contest. Dressing up allows individuals to
Wildcat Excellence Scholarship Essay
Upon graduation from high school with an above 4.0 GPA and a 28 ACT score, I
received the Wildcat Excellence Scholarship from the University of Arizona in the
amount of $6,000. Among the friendliness, location, and pristine medical reputation,
this scholarship was a large reason why I proudly chose the U of A for my
undergraduate studies, because without the financial aid there was diminutive chance
of being able to afford a collegeeducation. During my first semester freshman year, I
struggled with common teenager problems (low self esteem, peer pressure, etc.), but
there was also an added weight: I graduated high schoolat the age of fifteen, and it

I ended that fall with a 1.4 GPA, and was placed on academic probation. Truly, I
contemplated dropping out that semester. But instead, I was driven to increase my
cumulative GPA through general education credits. I conquered academic
probation in one semester, and raised my GPA by an entire letter grade (1.4 to a
2.7.) My academic probation advisor, Valeria Martinez, said she hadn t seen
anyone work as hard or change as positively as I had in the spring of 2014. I also
decided to join the Army ROTC program on campus, to help retain the effort I had
begun to put in, to stay out of trouble, and to redefine a direction and focus.
However, while I was finishing the process of academic probation, I was sexually
assaulted at a work party that happened off campus. There had been alcohol
involved, and it was someone I knew, but that didn t override the lack of consent and
the deterioration of my self esteem from the actions that had taken
American Foreign Policy
American Foreign Policy refers to the interests of the United States among the world
of Nations. American Foreign Policy also refers to the United States effort to achieve
its national objectives, sometimes at the expense of other nations.
The American foreign policy goal as stated in the Foreign Policy Agenda of the
Department of State, are to build and sustain a more democratic, secure, and
prosperous world for the benefit of the American people and the international
community. [1] The mission statement alone holds the interests of the US at the top
of the agenda. The US also has goals to benefit the entire world community.

diplomats and other government officials, whether they work at home or abroad, are
the people that make diplomacy work. A basic foreign policy goal is to see that the
people who work to benefit the United States are given the continued support and
protection they need. Diplomats stationed in places where there are conflicts, such as
the Middle East, Africa and South America depend on foreign policy to help them do
their job and improve relations and terms with the countries in which they are
stationed.
Another basic goal of American Foreign Policy is implementing democratic
governments. The US aids democratic nations and helps others create democratic
political systems. With US help, many formerly Communist nations in Europe began
to form democratic political systems in the 1990 s.
Many critics have stated that America s foreign policy does not change despite a
change in the country s leadership. However, the foreign policies adopted by different
presidents have differed in various respects. Certain variations can also be seen
between the foreign policies of the Obama and Bush Administrations. Both the Bush
administration and the Obama administration have committed to a foreign policy that
ensures the safety of Americans.
Obama gave his first major foreign policy speech of his campaign on April 23, 2007
to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, in which he outlined his foreign policy
objectives, stressing five key

Case Study On Popular Data Mining
Study on Popular Data Mining Algorithms/Techniques
Abstract: Data mining algorithms determine how the cases for a data mining model
are analyzed. Data mining model algorithms provide the decision making capabilities
needed to classify, segment, associate and analyze data for the processing of data
mining columns that provide predictive, variance, or probability information about
the case set. With an enormous amount of data stored in databases and data
warehouses, it is increasingly important to develop powerful tools for analysis of
such data and mining interesting knowledge from it. Data mining is a process of
inferring knowledge from such huge data. Data Mining has three major components
Clustering or Classification, Association Rules and Sequence Analysis.

The selection and implementation of the appropriate data mining technique is the
main task in this phase. This process is not straightforward; usually, in practice, the
implementation is based on several models, and selecting the best one is an
additional task. By simple definition, in classification/clustering we analyze a set of
data and generate a set of grouping rules which can be used to classify future data.
One of the important problems in data mining is the Classification rule learning
which involves finding rules that partition given data into predefined classes. An
association rule is a rule which implies certain association relationships among a set
of objects in a database. In sequential Analysis, we seek to discover patterns that
occur in sequence. This deals with data that appear in separate

This belief was a realisation by many in the late 20th Century and was reinforced by
the actions of local government and many major construction firms.

After the 1960 s, whole blocks were demolished by industry and government.
Streets including Point Street, Bulwara Road, Allen Street and Fig Street were
depleted and nothing took there place. By 1976, the population in the peninsula
decreased from 30,000 in the early 20th century to just 703 who were mainly
workers of local industries. Of these 703 residents Micheal R. Matthews[2] stated
many of the workers included 43 engineers; 14 clerks; 24 boiler makers and
machinists; 25 builders; 30 stonemasons; 3 dairy men; 16 blacksmiths and 13
butchers. All these employees were employed by the one hundred industries that
monopolised Pyrmont Ultimo in addition to there families that shared homes with
these workers and due to the dramatic changes these sort of industries no longer exist.
Nowadays the types of residents of the peninsula have changed significantly due to
the transformation of the peninsulas facilities and its close perimeter to the City
Business District. Younger residents have replaced older residents. [3]With 20 29
year olds now representing 55.3 per cent of the population and people over 65
represent just 1.4 percent of Pyrmont Ultimo, with the lowest of the population is
those aged 5 9 years, at 0.9 percent. Some 24 percent of these new residents have

Analysis Of The Book My Dream
Throughout the semester, I drew pictures on a sketch book. I started drawing on
September 23, 2016, and tried to draw at least four days a week till November 20.
Thus, I got 41 drawings in the sketch book. When I started this project, I was not
sure what I was doing. Without having any theme, I just followed what I wanted to
draw when I graved a pen. Some days, I drew what I saw in my dream, some days, I
drew my emotional feelings that I had hard time to express, and some days, I drew
whatever that came up in my mind. Interestingly, if I look back the images that I
drew, it shows that I unconsciously drew many images that is reminiscent of anima
/ animus or sky/the universe.
I did not know about anima/animus until we studied about them in the class. I was
not really consciously thinking about it, but since we learned Jungian Concepts in the
class, it seems like anima/animus caught my interest. I wrote about these concepts for
my first essay, yet I was not really sure how my anima/animus appear within me. I
was curious about it, but I did not know how to figure it out, but this project helped
me to see my anima/animus: especially development of animus. In my drawings,
many symbols that refer anima/animus appeared unconsciously and changed its
forms overtime. At the beginning of the project, my animus seems weaker or smaller
than my anima. Specifically, in the moon and sun image that I drew on September
24, 2016, the moon, the implication of animus in my culture, is closing
Pericles Funeral Oration Speech Summary
Pericles (495 429 BCE) whose name means Surrounded by glory was a young
influential Greek aristocrat who was more than just a ruler of Athens: He was a
politician, a prominent statesman (with influences in Art), a General (in Greek
Strategoi ) with significant leadership capabilities and an influential figure that
played a crucial role in inspiring not only the people of Athens through all his
endeavors but generations to come with his inspiring funeral oration speech for the
dead Athenians who fought in battle. His speech, which was told by Thucydides who
referred to Periclesas the first citizen of Athens , honored the dead, rallied the troops,
glorified Athenians, and gave voice to Athens democratic value. Pericles oration
speech would later become famous and contribute to the meaning behind Democracy.
Pericles family s prestige, wealth, and nobility allowed him to follow his preferences
toward education, philosophy and art while in his youth. Pericles promoted the arts,
literature, and philosophy. He saw the importance and value in education, philosophy
and the arts and could see how they would eventually help Athens blossom as a

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Metal
Awnings
Wondering What Type Of Awnings To Choose? Here s How Metal And Fabric
Compare
If you ve decided it s time to get awnings for your house windows, you might be
overwhelmed with all your choices. Unless you already know the kind of awnings
you want, you may wonder which type is best for your home.
You have two basic choices to begin with. You can install a metal or fabric awning
.
Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, but both types work well, so you
can t really go wrong no matter which type you choose. Here is a look at how these
options differ.
Awning Appearance
Metal awnings and fabric awnings look similar but since the materials are so
different, you can tell them apart quite easily. Metal awnings can be standing seam or
flat metal.
If you have a metal roof, one of these awnings could look like a natural extension of
the roof. They come in a number of colors so you can match or contrast the colors of
your home. Fabric awnings have the most variety when it comes to appearance.
These awnings come in a range of colors, stripes, and patterns. Fabric awnings also
come in a variety of shapes since the fabric can take on the shape of the form
beneath it. Fabric is also used on retractable awnings since it can be rolled up easily
and hidden when the awning is not in use.
Sun Protection
Metal awnings are solid material so they completely block the sun. Fabric awnings
can let some light filter through depending on the type of fabric you choose. Consider

Disadvantages Of Corporal Punishment
We all live in a society where our actions are prolific us and may avail us various
benefits but at the same time our actions can be detrimental to the other. Our society
has created certain norms and regulations which are to be followed by each and
every person is compelled to follow them in order to avoid a state of anarchy.
Punishment is used as means to reform the wrong doer into a law abiding citizen.
Punishment is the consequence of offence and the kind of punishment that is
imposed on the wrong doer depends upon the kind of society one lives in. Punishment
as a means of social control have been present in our societies since time immemorial

Although official judicial corporal punishment only exists in the Aceh province of
Sumatra region it is practiced unofficially throughout the country. Islamic law was
introduced in Aceh in 2002 with the proposal for canning errant Muslims following
the same year. The first canning took place in the region in the year 2005 . Canning
can be done on both men and women alike.
Further a lot of hue and cry erupted in international media in the year 2014 when a

gang raped by a group of vigilant youths.
The Chimney Sweeper By William Walker Analysis
In Songs of Innocence and of Experience, the two poems The Chimney Sweeper
highlight the injustice during Blake s time such as: poverty, child labour, and abuse.
The Chimney Sweeper illustrates William Blake s understanding of innocence and
experience by exposing the hypocritical nature of authority during the 1700s. This
essay will begin with explaining Blake s concept of innocence and experience .
Firstly, William Blakeperceives innocence and experience as contrasting states of the
soul. As a result, the narrators are examples of his understanding through their
accounts of their life. In The Chimney Sweeper (1789), William Blake wrote:
And so Tom awoke and we rose in the dark
And got with our bags brushes to work
Tho the morning was cold, Tom was happy Warm,
So if all do their duty, they need not fear harm. (Blake, Lines 21 24).
The boy and Tom Dacre are innocent through their optimism in their hopes despite
their harsh reality. The essence of Blake s understanding of innocence is the ability
to be joyful and celebratory with hope. In contrast, the narrator in The Chimney
Sweeper (1794) knows that there is no hero or escape from the life of a Chimney
Sweep. Essentially showing experience as the acceptance of the present reality as the
only reality.
On top of that, William Blake s concepts of experience can be further explained
through the imagery used by the narrator in The Chimney Sweeper (1794). In The
Chimney Sweeper (1794), William Blake writes:
And because i am happy, dance sing,
They think they have done me no injury:
And are gone to praise God his Priest King
Who make up a heaven of our misery. ( Lines 9 12).
The boy shows a full understanding of the hopelessness in his situation without
interruption from dreams or thoughts of being saved. He thoroughly explains the
misuse of power in authority in his situation. However, Tom Dacre vividly describes
his friend s dream in two stanzas. The children in The Chimney Sweeper (1789) do
not fully comprehend the harsh reality of chimney sweeps and instead clings to the
ideas of hope.
William Blake illustrates his concepts through highlighting the hypocrisy during the
1700s. The life of a chimney sweeper was
Potty Training Watch Research Paper
Potty Training Watch The Pros and Cons of This Popular Resource By Colleen
Langenfeld Dec 4, 2011 If you are like many parents who are potty training their
child, you have wondered if the toilet training resources available today can
actually help train your child. That s an important question. For example, the potty
training watch is a great concept. There are different styles available for this
watch, but the basic idea is that a parent can set a time say, 60 or 90 minutes and
when the time is up the watch will vibrate or play music to remind the child that it is
time to go potty. Let s take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of using this
popular resource. The pros of using a potty training watch. No hovering; no nagging.

The parent doesn t need to constantly remind the child it s time to go potty or do
you need to go potty? , since the child is expected to simply use the potty whenever
the watch tells her to. The watch is flexible. In other words, as a parent, you can set
the potty watch to go off at whatever intervals you choose. If your child is new to
potty training, you can set the watch for shorter periods of time. Once your child has
progressed in his training, you can set the watch for longer periods of time. High
wow factor. Most children are highly attracted to and motivated by the potty watch, at
least initially. They feel they are being given something adult to use and are therefore
excited to use it. A parent can take advantage of this natural attraction by regularly
checking their own watch in front of the toddler or preschooler, thus encouraging
their child to stay enthused about the potty watch. The other side: the cons of using a
potty training watch. The excitement can
The Low Power Optimization Techniques
Introduction The low power optimization techniques are very crucial for next
generation wireless communication and battery powered signal processing
applications. Several low power optimization techniques at circuit level and device
level were implemented in past two decades to achieve low power Very Large
Scale Integration (VLSI) designs. However the continuously growing low power
demand motivates researchers to evolve even low power designs. The architecture
level low power optimization is possible for signal processing and the
communication applications considering the dynamically fluctuating signal value.
1.1 Static Vs Dynamic Power The amount of energy consumed per operation and the
heat dissipated by the circuit are determined by the power consumption of a design.
A great number of critical design decisions, like the battery lifetime, supply line
sizing, power supply capacity, packing and cooling requirements are being influenced
by the above factors. Power dissipation is an important property of a design that
affects feasibility, cost, and reliability. However, the number of circuits that can be
integrated onto a single chip, and how fast they are allowed to switch are determined
by their high performance computing, power consumption limits and the heat
removal system (Jan M. Rabaey). In present era of increasing mobile computing
applications, for the amount of energy stored in battery, the achievable number of
computations directly depend on power consumption of
How Did The British Affect Indian Economy
Back to the time of the Silk Road, India had become a special place where the
European powers had come to desire because it was located in the middle, between
Europe and China. By the 1700s during the Battle of Plassey, the British had
colonized India and turned it into their second home. The British East IndiaCompany
took over India but not all the Indians believed that the British belonged there. In
India, the British had made changes that affected the economy, the government and
the social lifestyle of the people. These changes were both positive and negative. The
beneficial impacts were changing the government the Indians already had by
allowing more choices, increasing the economy, and lastly providing education. Even
though the British... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the British took control of India, it found ways to make India better and with its
help, soon enough, India was placed as the second best economy under the British
economy (British 12). India s economy and trade had improved tremendously after
the British took over because there was more money coming into India to cause
such a rise in its economy. The British also built railroads which created more ease
when transporting goods and trading throughout India. The railroads allowed
supplies and goods to be exported quickly, bringing it to the ports. Goods that
would usually take months to be traded with others now only took a few days with
the installment of railroads (Fisher 348). The railroads in India impacted everyone
not just the merchants and businessmen in India. But, it was especially beneficial
for them because now they could make deals and have goods be transported to
them without a long wait. Nevertheless it seem to be that with these new
installments India could run smoothly but eventually a problem came along the
way. The British did not allow Indians to make their own goods, they banned
homemade crafts and since most of India was out of work, the Indians turned to
the fields. Work was hard and there were certain goods they needed like clothes so
they had to buy it from the British since they could no longer make it themselves
from the cotton they collected. Craftsmen became farmers to pay for goods and
live a stable life (Bose 53). The British had wanted to get rid of the competition for
goods so they decided they want to prevent the Indians from making their own
goods. That way if the Indians needed something they can only get it from the
British (Bose 53). This led to economic downfall for the Indians because while they
were not doing great before the British came, their economy was pretty

Billy Goat Trail Essay
Billy Goat Trail The Billy Goat trail currently located in Maryland and is part of
the Great Falls. After getting familiar with the Billy Goat Trail you can see all the
evidence that a great geological phenomenon has occurred at that location. This
location went through several geographical changes that I will be mentioning along
with some of the evidence from the Billy Goat Trail. The Billy Goat Trail actually
started at the bottom of the Iaptus Ocean more than 460 million years ago. At the
bottom of the ocean the sand was being deposited on top of the mud making some
graded bedding that was caused by turbidity currents. The rock that was being formed
from graded bedding on the bottom of the ocean floor was the sedimentary rockcalled

The Acadian Orogeny not only started the mountain building in the region but also
brought volcanic activity along and this meant that the rocks in the region now where
under a great amount of pressure and extreme amount of heat.
Some of the evidence that I observed at the Billy Goat Trail from the Acadian
Orogeny was the Gneiss rocks that where hidden underneath the large boulders
where we stopped for lunch. The rock Gneiss requires high pressure and high heat
because the rock has U shaped banding due to the pressure and black and white
striations from the heat. (2) Another observation from the trip that supports the
Acadian Orogeny is the Lamprophyre dikes that cut across the Meta Greywacke
and are found in both sides of the Potomac River. The Lamprophyre dikes are
younger than the Meta Greywacke since they cut across them and since the dikes are
made of basalt they can be dated back about 360 million years ago thus linking them
to the Acadian Orogeny. Also the dikes weather out faster than the rock around them.
(3)
After the Acadian Orogeny the continent of North America collided with Africa
which was at the time of Pangea. Then the continents separated and opened up a new
ocean called the Atlantic Ocean but there was no evidence found in the region to
prove this geological event so the time missing is called an unconformity. During this
time the region was just experiencing weathering

a success I ve had is not only making varsity in cross country, but continually
improving each season and persevering. Central Idea: Throughout my cross
country seasons, I learned to power through, never give up, and keep pushing.
Introduction If you walk, or rather, run a mile in my shoes, you d actually be
running 6 to 12 miles per day. Easy days are typically 6 miles while workout days are
8 to 9 miles, with 11 to 12 miles as our long run. My team and I train for our races,
which is a 5k. This is my everyday life running (at least during the cross country
season). Racing is hard. It s more of a mental sport than anything else. Everything is

Sure, I wasn t expecting to be the best, but I was getting 28 minutes at the
beginning of the season and then down to 23s my sophomore year and 22s my
junior year. I ate poorly and had terrible sleeping habits, which contributed to my
multiple twisted ankles throughout the season. Overall, I mentally doubted
myself and didn t have confidence. I never thought highly about myself.
Transition: My first couple of years of cross country showed me that I had to
change something to improve my time, so starting senior year, I did. I
significantly changed my lifestyle for the better. Instead of eating junk food, fast
food, or anything fried, I switched to buying healthier and protein packed food to
fuel my body. For running, carbohydrates supply energy and protein helps muscle
repair. Many other healthy foods like nuts, beans, whole grain rice or pasta,
salmon, and fruit give necessary supplements like iron, vitamin E, antioxidant
amino acid taurine, omega 3 fatty acids, and more. In addition, I got into the habit
of getting more sleep each night. Sleep is the best time to recover, allowing
muscles to heal and repair themselves. Also, I started drinking about 3 to 4 water
bottles per day, along with gatorade to get some electrolytes in. These three aspects
food, sleep, and water are vital to racing because they impact your performance so
much. If one eats poorly, gets no sleep, and drinks barely any water, not only is your
performance going suffer, but you re more
Naturalistic Sculpture In Ancient Greece
Looking back on sculpture in Ancient Greece, the first examples of a naturalistic
form are seen. Stone and heart were melded to display humans and animals as they
exist in nature. Earlier artists, influenced by the Ancient Egyptians, saw sculpture as
a way to admire human perfection in figures known as Kouros. In 492 BC, Persia
invaded Athens and in their wake, most of the existing Kouros were destroyed.
During the time period spanning from Archaic Greece to Classical Greece, artists
developed the desire to create figures inspired by the world allowing the more
detailed style of naturalistic form to take motion. Due to the eradication of Archaic
sculptures during the Persian wars, Greek Sculpturewas renewed from stiff Kouros
into figures instilled... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through looking at the human body, studying its contractions and bone structure,
a realistic representation could be created. Part of this included having the correct
proportion of head to body. Polykleitos, while perfecting his own idea of what male
nude proportions should be, formed a climax toward the naturalistic form in
regards to order within chaos. Included in his work and multiple others, the
naturalistic form expanded on the practice of arrested motion. This uses
contrapposto and the tensing and relaxing of muscles in response to the movement
of the body in order to create the feeling that the figure was just frozen in time.
Arrested Motion was a major shift from Archaic Kouros that appeared to be stiff in
their movement and timeless overall. To achieve a Naturalistic form, the sculptor
first had to extend his representation of reality. This included the use of a more
complex system of symmetry to give the appearance of uniformity yet achieve
parallel lines and a balance between compression and stretching. The Discobolus by
Myron had a certain view to see the perfection of his work while at the rest of the
viewpoints only jumbles of lines were produced. This displays that to extend reality
some natural elements needed to be sacrificed. The Naturalistic form allowed the
figures to appear alive and have the illusion of perfection within
Developments Of Recording Technology During The 20th
Century
Developments in recording technology in the 20th century brought an extensive
increase in the variety of music that people had access to. It also played a major role
in how music could be heard. These inventions gifted the public with new ways that
music could be enjoyed more easily and more often. It also influenced composers to
experiment with new genres and styles. One aspect that was provided to the public
through inventions and developments in musictechnology was a major convenience.
They no loner needed to leave the comfort of their home to spend money on a live
performance. One particular inventionthat pushed this development was the radio.
This invention was the first known device to allow mass communication; not only
nationally, but internationally as well (Wyman). As early as the 1800 s, multiple
people began experimenting with wireless signals and communication (CITE). In
1910, this wireless system developed to be referred to as the name radio (CITE).
However, it wasn t until 1920 that the first radio station in the US arose (CITE). The
radio was mainly used for news at first; but within the next couple of years as more
radio stations popped up, music became prominent on the radio. Another invention
that played a major role in how people heard music in the 20th centuryis the
gramophone; also known as the phonograph. The phonograph was a disc used as the
primary medium for music reproduction until late in 20th century (CITE). The
phonograph was invented by
Evil Within the World, Depicted in J.R.R. Tolkien s The...
Since the dawn of time, mankind has been plagued with the ever existing evils of
the world. From the first murder by Cain to the opening of Pandora s Box, the
concept of evil has permeated itself into the societies and cultures of the world
throughout time. However, in a world of darkness we stand not alone. For wherever
evil dwells, the forces of good are always likewise present to maintain the balance:
right? In today s western world we often take this widely accepted belief for granted.
After all, for every super villain there is always a hero, and for every damsel in
distress there is always a happy ending, or at least that is what the media would
have you believe. What I begin to see as I delve further in to the concept of good and

In a setting so contaminated by the evils of the world, how could an innocent little
hobbit actually emerge as a character that has truly progressed for the better as most
think? This brings us to the final impending question. Is there truly good in the world
according to J.R.R. Tolkien in The Hobbit? This idea of good in the world has often
been explored within countless pieces of literature and has marked itself as a truly
meaningful concept to be evaluated. The main questions spurring from this
concept, which are often explored, usually concern the presence of good and evil
within a situation or setting. Building upon this I myself have chosen the concepts
of good and evil for which I am to base my milieu. This milieu is to be expanded
upon in my evaluation of The Hobbit and will be explored in terms of presence and
sense of conformity to both the Boethian and Manichaean ideologies. I have
chosen these specific ideologies to focus on for the reason that they represent both
sides of an ongoing argument concerning the status of good in the world and
therefore offer a fair balance to each other. The Boethian notion of good, in my
opinion, asserts that the only working force within the world is that of good, and
that what most perceive as evil is simply the absence of good. The Manichaean
ideology (as previously mentioned) seems to be more of a modern interpretation of
the working forces in the world. This ideology asserts that good and

The Physics of Bowling Bowling is a fun filled pastime with a lot more to it than
what meets the eye. Some of the concepts involved are energy, momentum, forces,
velocity, acceleration, and center of mass. The ultimate goal of a bowler is to
knock down as many pins as he can. To successfully do this, a bowler needs to first
consider the trajectory in which his ball travels down the lane. Energy is a system s
ability to do work. (Elert) The unit for energy is joules. Some other characteristics of
energy are that it takes numerous forms and that it is a scalar quantity.(Elert) The two
types of energy are kinetic energy and potential energy. Kinetic energy refers to an
object s motion. This differs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The greater angle optimizes the number of pins that the ball will knock down. The
way that the bowler controls this is in the manner in which he grasps the ball. It is
dependent on the position that the bowler places his fingers and thumb. Rotational
velocity is the main feature. The importance of rotational velocity is from the
precession it provides the ball with. Precession is the change in direction of the
bowling balls spin vector... over time (Physics Of Bowling.) Increasing precession
leads to the domino effect. That is increasing amount of friction on the ball, so the
hook that the ball strikes the pins is also greater. By default there is a greater angle
for the bowling

Galveston Hurricane
In the turn of the new century, the people of Galveston were faced with a grim
reminder. The event that destroyed the small island of Galveston, the Galveston
Hurricane, had many social, political, and economic impacts that made this storm
life changing. The Galveston Hurricane of 1900 improved Texas for the better and
helped Galveston grow stronger as a city. The society of Galveston suffered greatly
after the hurricane in both good and bad ways. The people of Galveston lost almost
everything they had; everything was nearly ruined. As stated by Ida Smith Austin,
Mov. 6, 1900, during the storm planks and debris were thrown around in the air and
water flooded homes. Many survivors of the storm lost almost everything they had,

Bog Bodies
This book informs the reader about bog bodies and how crucial they are to
scientists because they re a journey to the past. Bog bodies are bodies that were
deposited in a bog shortly after death, they were then naturally preserved in the
bog. To clarify why they re so important, bog bodies are usually so well preserved
that their skin, intestines and other parts of their body remain. Scientists study them
and they are able to find when they died, using radiocarbon analysis, and how they
died which is only possible it s not a skeleton because certain wounds can only be
seen on skin and not on bones. There was a section in that text that impacted me, it
was: With new tests and procedure, with determination and perhaps some luck,

Scientists look at only a few apparatus to discover additional information about the
past, they analyze fossils, artifacts, preserved bodies, and ancient architecture. With
bog bodies gone, that leaves a miniscule amount of items to study. Artifacts or items
belonging to ancient people don t provide tremendous amounts of information.
Additionally, fossils belong to a whole other category, animals and plants from
prehistoric times. Consequently, this doesn t provide information about primitive
culture and don t assist scientists seeking data on primeval civilization. Furthermore,
bog bodies are probably the most complex sources of enlightenment because they
can provide clothing, weapons, and materials of specific eras, as well as informing
us about their actions. For instance, of scientists suspected the person was sacrificed
we can conclude that whatever civilization they were from practiced human sacrifice.
In all honesty, bog bodies would be a grand loss because they re far more intriguing
than other artifacts. Considering this, bog bodies supply insight about someone s life
and it simulates reading an autobiography because you find out multitudes of
information about the person, even if they re dead. Another bog body they studied
was the Yde Girl, she was found in 1987 in the Netherlands but she had died 2,000
years earlier. While they were studying her remains, they found at she had
scoliosis, which impairs how you walk because it s a mild spinal curvature. The
toes of her right foot also signified that she might ve been slightly pigeon toed.
Scientists also noticed that she was stabbed and strangled with her on belt, which
was left on her neck after death. Perhaps she was considered undesirable in her
society because of her flaws and killed because of this. However, there are several
other ways she could ve died, it could ve been a sacrificial
The Purpose of Time Is to Prevent Everything from...
The Purpose of Time is to Prevent Everything from Happening at Once is a poem
that revolves around the idea of life passing by in a flash. Emanating from the day
we enter the world, the author X.J Kennedy takes memorable segments from life
and crudely ties them together. The poem does not consist of rhymes, so the
reader has to go through each word; one by one and truly understand why the
author put it there. As we are doing this, we are compelled to slow down, and
enjoy the true meaning of it, and get a feel for what is really going on. The entire
meaning of the poem is to attempt to get the reader to almost lay back and enjoy
the moment. By using imagery from important stages in a person s life, the reader
can truly perceive the widespread turmoil and the dysphoria a fast paced life will
lead to. In Kennedy s The purpose of timeis to prevent everything from happening at
once the purpose is to emphasize the passage of time and how crucial the longevity
of it is; the examples that he uses are a folding telescope, Einstein s theory, and
bewilderment. The primary use of a telescope is so that it may be used to see
items in the distance. However, X.J Kennedy manages to mold it into a blinder,
forcing us to focus on nothing but the future. Opening with, Suppose your life a
folded telescope/ Durationless, collapsed in just a flash (1 2). The telescope
exemplifies a seemingly short passage of time. Our aim in life is to reach for that
one goal we see in the distance. And
Comparing The Portrait Of Sally Fairchild By John Singer...
For my term paper I decided to go to the Cantor Museum in Palo Alto, and I chose
to focus on two portraits of women from two distinct time periods. First, I decided
on the portrait of Margaret Blagge, Wife of Sidney, 1st Earl of Godolphin. This
portrait was painted by the artist Matthew Dixon in 1675, in the Baroque period of
art. The portrait of Margaret Blagge was done in England, and it was painted as an
oil on canvas. The second artwork I chose to compare was the Portrait of Sally
Fairchild by John Singer Sargent. This portrait was done from the year 1884 to 1887
during the Realism movement in art. The portrait of Sally Fairchild was painted in
the United States of America, and was painted as an oil on canvas. When comparing

Value is the relative darkness or lightness of a painting, and it assists in creating
volume for a painting as well. In Matthew Dixon s painting, the Portrait of
Margaret Blagge, the value falls under tenebrism. Chiaroscuro is the contrast
between dark and light in a painting, and tenebrism is an extreme case of
chiaroscuro, with a violent contrast between dark and light. Dixon was able to
have Margaret Blagge stand out from the background by composing the whiteness
of her skin directly next to the darkness of the background. By using tenebrism,
Matthew Dixon was able to achieve a great deal of volume in his painting. Where
the whiteness of Margaret Blagge s skin touches the darkness of the background it
is as though she can be lifted out of her frame. John Singer Sargent s Portrait of
Sally Fairchild, is different in comparison to Matthew Dixon s portrait, because there
is not much chiaroscuro in it. The most evident contrast between dark and light is
the transition from the shadows fallen on the left side of Sally Fairchild s body and
her white skin. The contrast of shadow to the face helps create the volume of her chin
against her neck. Both paintings are different, yet they both have a sense of volume,
despite having used different
Destruction Of Freewill
Destruction of Free Thought; Free Will
Roughly 200,000 years ago the first modern humans struggled to survive, each day
a test of strength, cunning, and will to survive. In their lives they amassed
knowledge to pass on to their children, who in turn would gain further knowledge
and pass it on. Slowly new ideas form, creating languages, inventing stuff that make
daily living easier, and building stable communities. Those ideas have brought us to
where we are today; being able to do things our ancestors never dreamed possible.
So what does it mean to be human? Many philosophers from Plato to Marx to
Descartes, have developed theories as to why humans are different than other species.
Most theories mention that people are conscious of things other ... Show more content

In his Politics and the English Language, he often mentions to be aware of what you
re writing and not to take shortcuts. Writers, by thinking about what they write and
making sure that they re understandable; helps to eliminate other influences trying to
invade their mind. Everyone should follow these rules, because writing mirrors
thought and if one is filled with meaningless garbage so is the other. Luckily,
working to fix one will help the other, so improving one s writing also helps them
to reclaim their mind. A few other things that Orwell suggests to writers, is to be
able to connect with what they re writing, and to describe it in a clear, accurate
way. Those are some ways to help recover people s minds, but they should be
aware of that everything can be traced back to politics, and the only thing to be
certain of when dealing with politics, is that it will do whatever it takes to destroy
those who challenge it. Which is why people need to more active if the government
infringes upon their rights; it s better to fight when they have a chance. People should
also be aware that the government serves them, not the other way around. Through
staying aware, taking action when needed, and by thinking for themselves, people
will start to be able to better ensure that they will not fall victim to political

Crist is almost always correct. The reality is that if someone lies or covers stuff up,
most of the time they will be found out eventually be it in two days or in 20 years.
However, the reality is that some people do lie and cover stuff up in professional
and personal situations and are never exposed. Sometimes this is because they re
in a situation where dishonesty is prized, other times it s because the people
around them turn a blind eye to what they see because they don t want to know the
truth. Other times, it s because the person engaging in the dishonesty is so crafty
and so quick that the trickery and subterfuge is almost inscrutable. However, the
fact remains that Crist is correct. Often people are found out because those who are
engaging in the trickery have so much hubris and so much arrogance that they
engage in bolder and bolder moves, believing that they will never be caught. One
example of that from the recent past is of Bernie Madoff. His crime was a simple
Ponzi scheme which grew larger and larger in size and scale to the point where he
couldn t help but be found out. In this case, the fact that Ms. Jones was found out was
somewhat expected: she advanced to such a position of power within the institution
that she was almost one of their public figures, which meant that her credentials
would be under greater scrutiny. The reason that people falsify their resumes is partly

Analysis Of Emma Lazarus s The New Colossus
America, land of the free, where the opotunities are endless. At least that the

The New Colossus, a poem for immigrants to meet the foot of the statue of Liberty.
Though Lazarus tries to convince immigrants of Americans Openness, many
Americans likely find her poems expectation of America to far exceed the reality of
Americas racial and international relation between 1877 and 1945.
Immigrants during this time was made up of mostly Eastern and and Southern

Ef And Theory Of Mind
EF and Theory of Mind
It has been suggested that there is a strong link between EF and Theory of Mind
(ToM; Moses Carlson, 2004). ToM is the ability to infer other people s mental states,
such as intentions, thought, feelings, and beliefs (Baron Cohen, 1988).
Neuroimaging studies have indicated that prefrontal cortex is involved in thinking
about mental states (e.g., Amodio Frith, 2006; Frith Frith, 2003; Sabbagh Taylor,
2000; Siegal Varley, 2002). It was well documented that individuals with ASD have
deficits in both ToM and EF (e.g., McEvoy, Rogers, Pennington, 1993; Pellicano,
2010; Russell, 1997; Zelazo, Jacques, Burack, Frye, 2002). Individuals with ASD
have deficits in ToM tasks and perform worse on ToM tasks than... Show more

Moreover, EF abilities play a pivotal role in ToM development (Pellicano, 2013).
The predictive relationship between EF and ToM has been shown in the previous
studies not only in individuals with ASD (Kimhi, Kugelmas, Agam Ben Artzi, Ben
Moshe, Bauminger Zviely, 2014) but also in typically developing individuals
(Carlson, Moses, Claxton, 2004; Hughes Ensor, 2007; Moses Tahiroglu, 2010). For
instance, Cognitive Flexibility and verbal abilities are the key predictors for
performance on the ToM tasks (Kimhi et al., 2014).
In summary, there were some evidence suggest the importance of Working Memory
in social communication and interaction abilities for individuals with ASD, yet other
evidence showed mixed results of specific EF abilities. Nonetheless, it is safe to
conclude that deficits in ToM hinge on the development of EF, especially Working
Memory (holding in mind other s perspective) and Inhibition (repressing the
irrelevant information) (Carlson et al., 2002, 2004). Overall, individuals with ASD
have trouble with both EF abilities and ToM abilities, and EF is thought to play a
significant role in the development of ToM (Carlson et al., 2013). As such, trainings
that promote EF abilities among individuals with ASD might subsequently facilitate
the development of ToM.

How Is Beowulf Honorable
Beowulf The Great Today people go out of their way to help someone and do
good. Average people without proper equipment will stop to help victims of a car
crash, they are perceived as heroic. Similar to the Anglo Saxons who allowed their
warriors to go into battle without weapons if they wished. This challenge wasn t
accepted by many men, but those who did were seen as very honorable. Beowulfwas
one of the brave men who took this challenge, in Beowulf he leaves his homeland to
help Hogarth get rid of a terrible monster plaguing their lands. This shows his
strength, his courage, and his lasting capabilities which start his life as a hero.
Beowulf is extremely courageous more than your average warrior at this time.
Once in Herot he offers to fight the monster Grendel with only the help of his men.
As quoted in the following sentences that i, alone and with the help of my men,
may purge all evil from this hall. (165 166) As a warrior he is able to trust in his
capabilities and his mens. Beowulf is afraid of how his lord Higlac will perceive
him if he goes to fight Grendel with weapons. He states in the following lines i have

will start writing it down making him a warrior known by all, and a legend. This is

Early American Feudalism
We may never know when the first people step foot on the United States. In North
America the first human life and can be divided into three significant periods: The
Paleo Indian era, the Archaic period and the pre Columbian era. The belief for a
long time is that the first people to arrive in the new world did not come fame,
fortune or even freedom. They came because they were hungry. The Paleo Indians
developed many languages, have many belief systems and made spears from stone
and set up kill zones to hunt large heard of animals. Some of the others began to
sustain the agriculture. In the Archaic era, there was a change in how the people
lived because agriculture became the way of life for the Native Americans. The

In the decline, some nations were becoming more powerful. There are four
particular causes of this decline. The first is an economic change where there began
an expanded trade system. Several trading posts earned riches, and they also set up
long distance trade routes. Adam Smith and some of the Merchants did start the
theory called mercantilism. Mercantilism means that the profits that were made
from the business are based on the volume of its trade. The second was religious
because the Europeans arrived looking for riches from the new world and the quest
for wealth and power. In the midst of their search, they were also extorting the
expensive items from the Catholic Church which begins the start of the crusades on
the lands that was controlled by the Muslims. The third and the most significant was
the biological or The Black Death. The Black Death is most commonly known as the
bubonic plague which spread quickly did actually contributed a great deal to the
feudalism in that era (Schultz, 2013). The bubonic plague had a large impact on
the on the death of the Europeans which killed at least one third of their
population. The plague did not care who you were; it attacked the old, the young,
the weak, the rich and wealthy, and even the powerful. The more serfs or farmers
who died from the disease, the more the living was susceptible to the illness which
allowed the ones in charge to give them more freedom. The Hundred Years Wars had
begun because of political moves that began between England and France. The battle

Benefit Of Video Games Essay
Video games have quickly become the new major source of entertainment for the
youth and the upcoming adults of the world. The youth seem to be giving more of
their free time to video games. However, they have always seemed to have a bad
reputation with many people of all generations. People are starting to believe more
and more that video games are nothing but trouble. They feel as if video games are a

What many people do not realize is that some video games have parts in them that are
actually based on historical events. Obviously, the entire game is not completely
accurate but parts of the game are. There are also games where quick thinking and
math skills are required in order to complete or finish an important task. Though it
may not seem that important, having to do things like that will help them prepare for
timed test in school and help them problem solve faster which can be helpful if they
are found in intense situations where a problem needs to be resolved quickly. So it is
understandable that the results the professors found were highlighting improvement
after video games were played. Which only enhances that video games are actually
beneficial to the world s youth.
Secondly, video games have been known to build social skills among many who play
them. It is widely known that video games have changed drastically. Now people
are able to play and communicate with each other from all different parts of the
world. Most games nowadays are virtually online game play only, which means,

Regression Analysis of American Hotels Having Price as...
ABM PROJECT 2013 1. INTRODUCTION AND SUMMARY OF RESEARCH
HYPOTHESIS It is common knowledge that the prices people have to pay for
accommodation in hotels vary enormously. Furthermore, hotel revenue managers
probably posses or more or less accurate intuition of what causes room rates to
diverge. However, they do not know how Online Travel Agent sites select the
leading hotels to be placed on their first search page. In this respect, some
determinants are expected to be associated with hotel prices in a more or less linear
way. To say it differently, price differences between hotels underscore the presence or
not of some variables expected to influence the latter. It is essential for hotels to
understand how they can price... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Analysis Of Gift From The Sea By Anne Morrow Lindbergh
In Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Anne depicts her experiences
during her vacation on a beach. She uses aspects of the beach as metaphors that
relates back to humanity. These personifications can also be related to similarities
between humans and the environment. Throughout the book, there are lessons to be
learned from the sea, which are essentially the gifts from the sea. The narrator uses
shells or different features of the beach to describe how humans can learn from the
sea and how the relationship between humans and nature has changed. At the
beginning of Anne s story, she says The sea does not reward those who are too
anxious... . She writes that the sea teaches patience, which is not a characteristic that

Who Is Beowulf Selfish
Beowulf is an epic poem, originally written in Old English. The literary work has
no known author, but is written about Anglo Saxon culture. Beowulf is a Geat
warrior, often described as the world s strongest man. Due to the ideology of the
Anglo Saxon s, a man is defined by his reputation. Though Beowulf is viewed as the
heroof his story, he does not act selflessly. Furthermore, as a Geat, it is second nature
for Beowulfto desire praise for his works. The first trace of Beowulf s selfish
ambition occurs during his arrival at Hrothgar s home. He introduces himself by
explaining his royal affiliation and youthful glory. In this, he describes the victories
he has experienced, such as defeating giants and hunting monsters out of the ocean....

Unferth attempted to challenge Beowulf s glory by revealing that he lost a
swimming race. With this in mind, Beowulf decides to fight Grendel unarmed at
Herot. This action shows Beowulf s arrogance because many men died fighting
Grendel fully armed. In addition, Beowulf not only slays Grendel, but hangs his
arm on Herot. After the defeat of Grendel and his mother, Beowulf returns home to
the Geats. Heardred, his cousin, dies and Beowulf becomes King of the Geats. The
reign of Beowulf lasts for 50 peaceful years until there is news of a dragon bringing
terror to the Geats. At this point, Beowulf is an old man in a position a great
power. As King, he could have easily chosen to order his army to defeat the dragon.
However, Beowulf decides to fight the dragon himself. Sadly, Beowulf
overestimated his strength in old age. Though he defeats the dragon, Beowulf is
fatally wounded. As he dies Wiglaf, his soldier, is given specific burial instructions.
Wiglaf is instructed to tell the Geats to build a tomb near water s edge, so all can
remember him when they sail by. Wiglaf is also instructed to bring Beowulf jewels
to hold and admire as he takes his final breaths. Ironically, Beowulf states that he

Welfare Drug Testing Essay
Public welfare is the term which stands for the variety of tax supported programs
that provide cash assistance or services to residents who are not able to financially
take care of themselves (Hansan, 2011). This program was started in the 1930 s
during the Great Depression. There are several types of welfareincluding health care,
food stamps, child care assistance, cash aid, and housing assistance. Medicaid is
considered to be one of the welfare programs; it is a medical care that provides cash
income assistance for the poor ( Medicaid , 2002). Recipients must meet multiple
requirements that are established prior to receiving aid. The requirements include
low income, child dependency, family size, and any crisis situation such as
pregnancy, unemployment, and medical emergencies (Welfare Information, n.d.). As
of today, some states require welfare recipients to get drug tested when applying for
financial benefits. Arguments arose whether the test should take place or not. Many
people believe that the government should not drug test welfare recipients because
unpleasant consequences occur. Not only does drug testing recipients create chaos
in the U.S. bureaucratic system, it also labels the recipients, creating stigma and
deviance especially if the test comes out positive. Welfare recipients are being
discriminated by society and this may lead to knowledge gaps between the
underclass and other social classes which creates a caste system. Many negative
effects take place as

intellectual property. Finally, it will mention the two main elements like religious and
economy which is the red line for any government and lawmakers who support
intellectual property.

Intellectual Property and Economy
Intellectual property is the main elements for economic growth and national
competitiveness. President Obama mentioned that the United States of America must
support intellectual property rights to be successful in an increasingly competitive
international market which help the American people to meet their goals. It clearly
shows that supporting of intellectual property by government completely related to
economy because it has a direct relationship with innovation which is the main buddy
in economy, and its benefits will effect to every single industries. In addition,
Intellectual property is not just the final product of workers and companies but also it
has positive effects to innovation of products, supplies, and commercial activities
(U.S. Patent and Tred mark office 2012).
Moreover, Intellectual property needs to be supported by government because it is
the most important keys in creating new jobs. According to U.S. Patent and Tred
mark office (2012) the number of direct and indirect employment in technology
industry are related to supporting of intellectual property right. Direct employment in
related to Intellectual Property in technology industries was 27.1 million jobs in 2010
and indirect activities associated with these industries provided was 12.9 million jobs
throughout the economy in 2010. It
Explain Why I Hate Grammar
I hate grammar and I want to cum. So far my bad grammar has cost me 11 points.

points I lose. I never thought I could have such a hate for the word you re.
Today was my first edge in a hospital how exciting lol. I was at the hospital all night
with my best friend who is having a baby so I couldn t quite edge in my bed in the
morning. My Master still required me to edge though so I went to one of the
bathrooms here at the hospital. I had to put in my plug for the day anyways. Once
I got to the bathroom and got into a stall I stuck my hand down my pants
immediately. I was already wet what a shocker. I started to push two fingers into
my pussy. Fucking it with them. I used the other hand and started to rub my clit
while I fucked my pussy. It felt so fucking good like really good. I really wanted to
cum but cumming without my Masters permission would not have ended well for
me. I was really wet after this so I wiped up my pussy juices and licked them up off
of my hand. Again really counterproductive. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

not cum 3 times. Then I did my kegles which I am getting a little better at. I licked
and sucked on my Master cock when I did my planks. I love sucking and licking
my Masters cock especially when it s covered with my pussy juices. Then I worked
on my pussy and ass stretching with my medium plug. My ass stretching is getting
easier and my plug could probably get all the way in there now. But then my Master

A Small Pond And A Big Pond
If you are given a choice, what would you pick to be? A big fish in a small pond or
a small fish in a big pond? Life will give you choices, situations, opportunities that
can place you on one side or another and suddenly, the path of opportunity appears,
the moment where you can escape from the pond and reach the glory. Could we
change that spot where life place us? Could the fish escape from the pond?
Being born in Santo Domingo put me for many years as the Big fish in the Small
Pond Since I was a kid, one of my passions have been to write, at the age of 7 I sent
an article to a Children s magazine in Santo Domingo called Al Compas sharing my
point of views in my article I was trying to create the consciousness about
contamination and discriminations about handicaps, It was a surprise to my parents
when they saw it in the magazine because I did not t ask permission to mail it. In
2003 I won the first place in the category of essays in a contest about Priest Juan
Nepomuceno Zegri, in La Semana Mercedaria a week where nuns from the catholic
church I studied celebrated the foundation of her congregation.
At the end of High School I received the Student Excellence Award and won a
scholarship to study in Universidad APEC, where I started my Bachelor degree
majoring in Advertising. At first I wanted to focus on copywriting or TV production.
Then one day through the passion of a very talented professor, I shaped my dreams.
She was not supposed to be my teacher, but

Educating Rita and the Devil Wears Prada Speech Into the...
The society we live in distorts our own unique desires and goals. When in a
workplace or community it puts more pressure and expectation on individuals goals,
warping them until a point where one identifies what they truly want and breaks the
mould and expectations of society to do this. Examining texts such as Educating Rita
and The Devil Wears Prada in addition to my own personal experience will bring
forth an understanding of how society affects growing up and transition into new
phases of life into a larger world. The text Educating Rita is set Britain in the 1970
s, where a woman s role was to have a family and look after it by staying at home and
in the kitchen. The feminist movement started to occur along with the... Show more

The word bursts here has connotations of confidence and her eagerness to learn. She
is breaking her social context whereas in scene one she was questioning herself.
Rita always purchases new dresses to cheer her up, but now realises she is not
content with it. She stresses to Frank that It s like me isn t it? Buying new dresses
all the time, isn t it? The rhetorical questions and repetition enhance reflection on her
learning and aim to move out of the stereotype. In new second hand clothes this is
symbolic of the ease she has in the middle class and shows juxtaposition of new
second hand clothes. This has highlighted how she has changed and matured into the
middle class and doesn t require materialistic needs like a dress to satisfy her
depression.
Rita in Educating Rita mirrors the same growth and change as Andrea in The Devil
Wears Prada . It is a 2006 film in times where individuals are controlled by the
capitalist world and times where pleasing your boss was the only ambition. Andrea is
easily manipulated to suit her social context and expectations of her boss. This is
shown through the change in her values overtime highlighting her new appreciation
for fashion which is negatively affecting her relationships with her friends.
Andrea then grows enough to come to realisation that she is controlled by the
materialistic needs of fashion influences by the industry. This is shown thought

Speech On Secularism
It cannot be denied that in a multicultural and a multifarious religious state,
secularism cannot be given any precise definition. It is a tool in the hands of the State
to use it judiciously for the promotion of inter communal peace and harmony, and to
ensure, depending on the peculiarities of each case, that all the communities receive
equal treatment.
India waited another twenty seven years to enshrine secularism as one of the
objectives of the nation. On 1 September 1976, through the 42nd Amendment Act,
passed during an internal emergency, the words secular and socialist were formally
added to the preamble of the Constitution. Then proposed constitutional changes can
be considered under the following heads: (i) Amendability of the Constitution; (ii)

R. Gokhale, made a lengthy speech on its far reachingconsequences. Yet about
secularism and its introduction in the preamble of the Constitution, this was all he
had to say:
(T)he objectives which we had always in view, namely, socialism and secularism,
which we have tried to implement, will be more and more implemented and will be
more accurately and correctly reflected in a basic part of our Constitution, namely,
the Preamble. Let anyone say that socialism or secularism is incapable of definition
(sic).
Well, in order to accept that argument of the Law Minister , one may say that
democracy in that sense is also incapable of definition because, it is understood in
different ways in different countries. But, there is consensus on the way we practice
democracy. In the same way, the meanings of the words socialism and secularism are
well understood and embedded in the Constitution. Thus, all the argument seems
futile but the main objective of the amendment to the Preamble was a very important
and fundamental feature of the Amendment

The Two Arrangements of Water Quality Parameters
There are two arrangements of water quality parameters:
пѓјConservative
пѓјNon conservative Conservative parameters of water which are hardness, alkalinity,
salinity, and temperature are not affected significantly by activities of
microorganisms. [30] Ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, total nitrogen, pH, phosphorous,
dissolved oxygen, conductivity, total dissolved solids, chemical oxygen demand, and
oxygen reduction potential which are affected by biological activity are considered as
non conservative. [30] [31] Now let s discuss the crucial water quality parameters
taking into consideration the importance of monitoring them in an aquaculture setting
for reusing them for irrigating processes. So at first nitrogen cycle must be discussed.
[30] [32] The nitrogen cycle can be described as follows. Figure 1 The graph of
nitrogen cycle

anaerobic and photosynthetic transform atmospheric nitrogen to organic nitrogen.

Ammonification is the process by which organic nitrogen is converted to nitrogenous

of ammonia to nitrate. Nitrifies carry out this process and can be autotrophic
Sportsmanship And Sportsmanship Of A Team
Sportsmanship All athletes can recognize that being a part of a team is hard. It is
incredibly difficult to select a group of teenagers that will (1) all get along, (2) work
together seamlessly, and (3) respect their coaches. The formula for the perfect team is
unknowable. One negative spirit always exists to drag the teamdown, to deflate their
motives and increase their egos; but that does not have any effect on the
sportsmanship of a team. Sportsmanship does not rely on the cohesiveness of a team.
It does not correlate with how many bonding trips a team endures or how many
groups of friends are on the team. It is not entirely internal or entirely external.
Sportsmanship is not simply the willingness of an athlete to respect other... Show

Nevertheless, attitudes and jealousy grew. We dominated over other JV2 teams on
the court, due to the lack of completion rather than our skill; but we struggled in

tournament. The morning bus ride was quiet and unassuming. Everyone sat
separately and stared out their own windows, listening to their own music. Upon
arrival, we pulled up kneepads, put on out ankle braces, tied our shoes, and trudged
onto the court for warmup. Even with no energy, we won our first game, and the one
after that, and the one after that. First in our pool, yet there was no real celebration.
Bracket play started and, finally, we met some teams that actually challenged us.
While energy started to rise, so did the attitudes. After actually playing, for once,
cockiness spread throughout the team. Then, after fighting our way past a small
team in bright red jerseys, a game won purely by luck and consistent serving, we
found ourselves in the championship game. Our final opponents hailed from one of

Keystone Predation
Topic and Justification
Interactions between organisms and their environment shape how ecosystems
function. Research has shown that some species can occupy a keystone role,
providing disproportionately great benefits to the ecosystem and its inhabitants,
highlighting their importance to stability and biodiversity (Hooper et al., 2005;
Hossack et al., 2015). However, keystone predation is still a contentious topic,
especially when asserting that apex predators of most ecosystems provide their own
incredible ecosystem influences (Estes et al., 2011). This study aims to analyze the
importance of the tertiary predator Puma concolor (Mountain Lion), an organism not
known for a significant keystone relationship with Mendocino landscapes. This study
will look at predator prey interactions and frequency, and abiotic dependencies on
prey behavior, all within two Mendocino habitats with ... Show more content on

Their presence, and often the mere possibility of it, induces behavioral changes in
prey that limit how much said organisms forage and reproduce. Ultimately,
production of this so called landscape of fear limits prey populations, along with
direct predation (William et al., 2014). These types of indirect effects are also
manifested by humans, and have strong behavioral implications for apex predators.
Studies show that mountain lion prefer to perform reproductive behaviors, like
communication and denning, much further from human development than they do
more regular behaviors, like feeding (Wilmers et al., 2013). Human encroachment has
a significant behavioral consequence for these creatures. So, in order to maintain the
keystone benefits of an apex predator, both their populations and home ranges may
require often disregarded protections (Hannah, Midgley, Millar, 2002; Wilmers et al.,

The term multiverse has many nicknames including but not limited to quantum
universes, alternate universes, alternate realities etc. But, what is the multiverse? If
one was to look up the meaning of the word, the definition that is provided in the
Oxford Dictionary states a hypothetical space or realm consisting of a number of
universes, of which our own universe is only one 1. The use of the term multiverse or
its other moniker parallel universe, has been used in cosmology, physics, and
philosophy to perhaps more prominently in science fiction literature and movies for
decades. Ever since Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe is expanding in the
1920s, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though existence of multiverse has not been proven to be a fact as of yet, the
primary concern regarding the validity of multiverse theory is the fact that the
existence of multiverse is not observable nor scientifically testable. Science is based
on validity, reproducibility and the pursuit of truth. However, how does one prove the
existence of something, if it is purported to exist outside of our visual horizon?
Unlike distant stars, we have yet to see light, emitted from a parallel universe through
a telescope. So, the argument against multiverse theory is that it is a belief, rather
than a proven scientific fact and it is hypothetical in nature. And prioritizing
hypothesis over observational confirmations is a mistake that scientists are not
afforded to make. George Ellis4, Professor of mathematics from University of Cape
Town supports this view by suggesting that even if there were infinite number of
universes, infinite is a mathematical entity rather than a physical one and therefore,
we could not count the infinite galaxies in a finite time and thus, it is impossible to
prove the existence of infinite universes through mathematical tests and observations.
And if it cannot be tested, why should it be any more scientifically valid than
metaphysics or astrology?
But, defenders of multiverse theory point to Kant and his speculation regarding some
nebulae being island universes 5

Persuasive Essay Writer. . Writing persuasive essay - The Oscillation Band

  • 1. Persuasive Essay Writer Crafting a persuasive essay on the topic of being a "Persuasive Essay Writer" poses a unique challenge. The irony lies in the intricate dance between asserting your own persuasive prowess while exemplifying it through the very act of writing about it. This task demands a delicate balance between self-promotion and genuine, convincing argumentation. To start with, the inherent paradox of convincing the audience of your skills in persuasive writing requires a certain level of self-awareness. It's a fine line to walk, as overt self-praise can risk coming across as arrogant, while modesty may undermine the persuasive intent. Striking this balance involves navigating through the nuances of tone, acknowledging strengths without overshadowing the core message. Moreover, addressing the expectations of the reader adds another layer of complexity. A persuasive essay typically aims to influence opinions or inspire action. In this case, the writer must not only showcase their proficiency in persuasion but also engage the audience in a way that reflects the principles they advocate for. The challenge is not just in presenting an argument but in doing so in a manner that resonates with the readers' values and beliefs. The introspective nature of the topic further complicates the task. The writer must delve into their own writing process, habits, and strategies. This self-analysis requires a certain level of vulnerability, as the writer may need to share personal challenges and triumphs in becoming a persuasive essay writer. Navigating this introspective journey while maintaining a persuasive tone adds layers to the complexity of the essay. In conclusion, tackling an essay on being a persuasive essay writer demands finesse in navigating the delicate balance of self-promotion and humility. It necessitates an acute awareness of the audience's expectations and an ability to connect with them on a personal level. Navigating the internal landscape of one's writing process adds an additional layer of intricacy. It is indeed a challenging endeavor that requires a skillful blend of self-reflection and persuasive prowess. • 2. Analysis of The Charge of the Light Brigade Essay Analysis of The Charge of the Light Brigade This particular poem deals with the unfortunate mistake of Battle of Balaclava in 1854. In an attempt to retrieve their stolen firearms, the British, lead by Lord Raglen, took their light cavalry to the innocent Turkish territory, rather than the guilty Russians. In self defence Turkey protect themselves by attacking the British troops causing hundreds of deaths but not, not the six hundred . Tennyson uses various techniques to involve the reader more personally. He uses this to emphasise the pain and suffering felt by the soldiers so the reader can really appreciate the physical defeat but the emotional victory from the noble six hundred . The use of onomatopoeia in poems is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The cavalry retreat back through the valley where they had previously been. This is shown by the repetition of most of stanza three. The final canto concludes the Battle of Balaclava and Tennyson s thoughts of war are confirmed. Although he finds the reason for their fighting, unwise, calling their charge wild . However, he adds that the Light Brigade and their charge should be held in honour even though he agrees with the fruitlessness of war. This reflects thoughts of people who find war ineffective but they will realise that the noble six hundred should be held in high esteem and respect. Although the Light Brigade lost the battle they won the moral victory over their critics. Tennyson questions the authority of war in The Charge of the Light Brigade . He wrote this poem based on the Battle of Balaclava because a huge mistake was made by the authoritative figure, Lord Raglen, which caused many deaths. Although the troops knew some one had blunder d , they did not question it. He wants to show that even though a person is higher, richer or more powerful than other they can still be vulnerable in making errors. This questions Victorian authority and whether they are making the right decision concerning the lives of British people. Poets in the twentieth century have also taken this argument into account most namely in Siegfried Sassoon s The General where their leader is described as an incompetent swine . The repetition
  • 3. Cosplay Imperialism Cosplay, short for costume play , is a performance art in which people called cosplayers wear costumes and specific accessories and props to represent or portray a specific fictional character. It is a unique Japanese form of art which, playing upon the identificatory fantasy, it enables the western participants to assume identities and to differentiate themselves in ways which western culturecannot. The average cosplayer is not just putting on a costume; the experience is one of rebirth, an identity transformation. Daniel s (2010) paper determines whether cosplay is a demonstration of cultural imperialism of cultural hybridity. Lotecki (2012) and Hale s (2014) paper examines the creative, emotional, social, and behavioural processes in which cosplayers participate while interpreting and constructing their characters, including the differentiation between fiction and reality, and... Cosplay help people with low self esteem by improving communication skills, creativity, and the perception of body image. Cosplay can increase confidence through social interaction and communication. These events are socially defined sites of activity for cosplayers, where one can find peers with similar interests, sign up in a variety of performances, and actively participate within the community. Conventions hold certain events that are made specifically for cosplayers: the Masquerade and the Hall Contest. Dressing up allows individuals to
  • 4. Wildcat Excellence Scholarship Essay Upon graduation from high school with an above 4.0 GPA and a 28 ACT score, I received the Wildcat Excellence Scholarship from the University of Arizona in the amount of $6,000. Among the friendliness, location, and pristine medical reputation, this scholarship was a large reason why I proudly chose the U of A for my undergraduate studies, because without the financial aid there was diminutive chance of being able to afford a collegeeducation. During my first semester freshman year, I struggled with common teenager problems (low self esteem, peer pressure, etc.), but there was also an added weight: I graduated high schoolat the age of fifteen, and it was at that time I left home for universitylife. While academically, I seemed prepared enough for this challenge, emotionally I was still only barely sixteen,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I ended that fall with a 1.4 GPA, and was placed on academic probation. Truly, I contemplated dropping out that semester. But instead, I was driven to increase my cumulative GPA through general education credits. I conquered academic probation in one semester, and raised my GPA by an entire letter grade (1.4 to a 2.7.) My academic probation advisor, Valeria Martinez, said she hadn t seen anyone work as hard or change as positively as I had in the spring of 2014. I also decided to join the Army ROTC program on campus, to help retain the effort I had begun to put in, to stay out of trouble, and to redefine a direction and focus. However, while I was finishing the process of academic probation, I was sexually assaulted at a work party that happened off campus. There had been alcohol involved, and it was someone I knew, but that didn t override the lack of consent and the deterioration of my self esteem from the actions that had taken

A basic foreign policy goal is to see that the people who work to benefit the United States are given the continued support and protection they need. Data mining model algorithms provide the decision making capabilities needed to classify, segment, associate and analyze data for the processing of data mining columns that provide predictive, variance, or probability information about the case set. With an enormous amount of data stored in databases and data warehouses, it is increasingly important to develop powerful tools for analysis of such data and mining interesting knowledge from it. Data mining is a process of inferring knowledge from such huge data. Data Mining has three major components Clustering or Classification, Association Rules and Sequence Analysis. One of the important problems in data mining is the Classification rule learning which involves finding rules that partition given data into predefined classes. An association rule is a rule which implies certain association relationships among a set of objects in a database. In sequential Analysis, we seek to discover patterns that occur in sequence. This deals with data that appear in separate

This belief was a realisation by many in the late 20th Century and was reinforced by the actions of local government and many major construction firms. • 9. Analysis Of The Book My Dream Throughout the semester, I drew pictures on a sketch book. I started drawing on September 23, 2016, and tried to draw at least four days a week till November 20. Thus, I got 41 drawings in the sketch book. When I started this project, I was not sure what I was doing. Without having any theme, I just followed what I wanted to draw when I graved a pen. Some days, I drew what I saw in my dream, some days, I drew my emotional feelings that I had hard time to express, and some days, I drew whatever that came up in my mind. Interestingly, if I look back the images that I drew, it shows that I unconsciously drew many images that is reminiscent of anima / animus or sky/the universe. I did not know about anima/animus until we studied about them in the class. I was not really consciously thinking about it, but since we learned Jungian Concepts in the class, it seems like anima/animus caught my interest. I wrote about these concepts for my first essay, yet I was not really sure how my anima/animus appear within me. I was curious about it, but I did not know how to figure it out, but this project helped me to see my anima/animus: especially development of animus. In my drawings, many symbols that refer anima/animus appeared unconsciously and changed its forms overtime. At the beginning of the project, my animus seems weaker or smaller than my anima. Specifically, in the moon and sun image that I drew on September 24, 2016, the moon, the implication of animus in my culture, is closing

Unless you already know the kind of awnings you want, you may wonder which type is best for your home. You have two basic choices to begin with. You can install a metal or fabric awning . Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, but both types work well, so you can t really go wrong no matter which type you choose. Here is a look at how these options differ. Awning Appearance Metal awnings and fabric awnings look similar but since the materials are so different, you can tell them apart quite easily. Metal awnings can be standing seam or flat metal. If you have a metal roof, one of these awnings could look like a natural extension of the roof. They come in a number of colors so you can match or contrast the colors of your home. Fabric awnings have the most variety when it comes to appearance. These awnings come in a range of colors, stripes, and patterns. Fabric awnings also come in a variety of shapes since the fabric can take on the shape of the form beneath it. Fabric is also used on retractable awnings since it can be rolled up easily and hidden when the awning is not in use. Sun Protection Metal awnings are solid material so they completely block the sun. Fabric awnings can let some light filter through depending on the type of fabric you choose. Consider how

  • 13. The Chimney Sweeper By William Walker Analysis In Songs of Innocence and of Experience, the two poems The Chimney Sweeper highlight the injustice during Blake s time such as: poverty, child labour, and abuse. The Chimney Sweeper illustrates William Blake s understanding of innocence and experience by exposing the hypocritical nature of authority during the 1700s. This essay will begin with explaining Blake s concept of innocence and experience . Firstly, William Blakeperceives innocence and experience as contrasting states of the soul. As a result, the narrators are examples of his understanding through their accounts of their life. In The Chimney Sweeper (1789), William Blake wrote: And so Tom awoke and we rose in the dark And got with our bags brushes to work Tho the morning was cold, Tom was happy Warm, So if all do their duty, they need not fear harm. (Blake, Lines 21 24). The boy and Tom Dacre are innocent through their optimism in their hopes despite their harsh reality. The essence of Blake s understanding of innocence is the ability to be joyful and celebratory with hope. In contrast, the narrator in The Chimney Sweeper (1794) knows that there is no hero or escape from the life of a Chimney Sweep. Essentially showing experience as the acceptance of the present reality as the only reality. On top of that, William Blake s concepts of experience can be further explained through the imagery used by the narrator in The Chimney Sweeper (1794). In The Chimney Sweeper (1794), William Blake writes: And because i am happy, dance sing, They think they have done me no injury: And are gone to praise God his Priest King Who make up a heaven of our misery. ( Lines 9 12). The boy shows a full understanding of the hopelessness in his situation without interruption from dreams or thoughts of being saved. He thoroughly explains the misuse of power in authority in his situation. However, Tom Dacre vividly describes his friend s dream in two stanzas. The children in The Chimney Sweeper (1789) do not fully comprehend the harsh reality of chimney sweeps and instead clings to the ideas of hope. William Blake illustrates his concepts through highlighting the hypocrisy during the 1700s. The life of a chimney sweeper was

Potty Training Watch Research Paper Potty Training Watch The Pros and Cons of This Popular Resource By Colleen Langenfeld Dec 4, 2011 If you are like many parents who are potty training their child, you have wondered if the toilet training resources available today can actually help train your child. That s an important question. For example, the potty training watch is a great concept. There are different styles available for this watch, but the basic idea is that a parent can set a time say, 60 or 90 minutes and when the time is up the watch will vibrate or play music to remind the child that it is time to go potty. Let s take a look at the advantages and disadvantages of using this popular resource. The pros of using a potty training watch. No hovering; no nagging. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The parent doesn t need to constantly remind the child it s time to go potty or do you need to go potty? , since the child is expected to simply use the potty whenever the watch tells her to. The watch is flexible. In other words, as a parent, you can set the potty watch to go off at whatever intervals you choose. If your child is new to potty training, you can set the watch for shorter periods of time. Once your child has progressed in his training, you can set the watch for longer periods of time. High wow factor. Most children are highly attracted to and motivated by the potty watch, at least initially. They feel they are being given something adult to use and are therefore excited to use it. A parent can take advantage of this natural attraction by regularly checking their own watch in front of the toddler or preschooler, thus encouraging their child to stay enthused about the potty watch. The other side: the cons of using a potty training watch. The excitement can

The Low Power Optimization Techniques Introduction The low power optimization techniques are very crucial for next generation wireless communication and battery powered signal processing applications. Several low power optimization techniques at circuit level and device level were implemented in past two decades to achieve low power Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) designs. However the continuously growing low power demand motivates researchers to evolve even low power designs. The architecture level low power optimization is possible for signal processing and the communication applications considering the dynamically fluctuating signal value. 1.1 Static Vs Dynamic Power The amount of energy consumed per operation and the heat dissipated by the circuit are determined by the power consumption of a design. A great number of critical design decisions, like the battery lifetime, supply line sizing, power supply capacity, packing and cooling requirements are being influenced by the above factors. Power dissipation is an important property of a design that affects feasibility, cost, and reliability. However, the number of circuits that can be integrated onto a single chip, and how fast they are allowed to switch are determined by their high performance computing, power consumption limits and the heat removal system (Jan M. Rabaey). In present era of increasing mobile computing applications, for the amount of energy stored in battery, the achievable number of computations directly depend on power consumption of

As the British took control of India, it found ways to make India better and with its help, soon enough, India was placed as the second best economy under the British economy (British 12). India s economy and trade had improved tremendously after the British took over because there was more money coming into India to cause such a rise in its economy. The British also built railroads which created more ease when transporting goods and trading throughout India. The railroads allowed supplies and goods to be exported quickly, bringing it to the ports. Goods that would usually take months to be traded with others now only took a few days with the installment of railroads (Fisher 348). The railroads in India impacted everyone not just the merchants and businessmen in India. But, it was especially beneficial for them because now they could make deals and have goods be transported to them without a long wait. Nevertheless it seem to be that with these new installments India could run smoothly but eventually a problem came along the way. The British did not allow Indians to make their own goods, they banned homemade crafts and since most of India was out of work, the Indians turned to the fields. Work was hard and there were certain goods they needed like clothes so they had to buy it from the British since they could no longer make it themselves from the cotton they collected. Craftsmen became farmers to pay for goods and live a stable life (Bose 53). The British had wanted to get rid of the competition for goods so they decided they want to prevent the Indians from making their own goods. That way if the Indians needed something they can only get it from the British (Bose 53). This led to economic downfall for the Indians because while they were not doing great before the British came, their economy was pretty

The Acadian Orogeny not only started the mountain building in the region but also brought volcanic activity along and this meant that the rocks in the region now where under a great amount of pressure and extreme amount of heat. Some of the evidence that I observed at the Billy Goat Trail from the Acadian Orogeny was the Gneiss rocks that where hidden underneath the large boulders where we stopped for lunch. The rock Gneiss requires high pressure and high heat because the rock has U shaped banding due to the pressure and black and white striations from the heat. (2) Another observation from the trip that supports the Acadian Orogeny is the Lamprophyre dikes that cut across the Meta Greywacke and are found in both sides of the Potomac River. The Lamprophyre dikes are younger than the Meta Greywacke since they cut across them and since the dikes are made of basalt they can be dated back about 360 million years ago thus linking them to the Acadian Orogeny. Also the dikes weather out faster than the rock around them. (3) After the Acadian Orogeny the continent of North America collided with Africa which was at the time of Pangea. Then the continents separated and opened up a new ocean called the Atlantic Ocean but there was no evidence found in the region to prove this geological event so the time missing is called an unconformity. Stone and heart were melded to display humans and animals as they exist in nature. Earlier artists, influenced by the Ancient Egyptians, saw sculpture as a way to admire human perfection in figures known as Kouros. In 492 BC, Persia invaded Athens and in their wake, most of the existing Kouros were destroyed. Through looking at the human body, studying its contractions and bone structure, a realistic representation could be created. Part of this included having the correct proportion of head to body. Polykleitos, while perfecting his own idea of what male nude proportions should be, formed a climax toward the naturalistic form in regards to order within chaos. Included in his work and multiple others, the naturalistic form expanded on the practice of arrested motion. This uses contrapposto and the tensing and relaxing of muscles in response to the movement of the body in order to create the feeling that the figure was just frozen in time. Arrested Motion was a major shift from Archaic Kouros that appeared to be stiff in their movement and timeless overall. To achieve a Naturalistic form, the sculptor first had to extend his representation of reality. This included the use of a more complex system of symmetry to give the appearance of uniformity yet achieve parallel lines and a balance between compression and stretching. The Discobolus by Myron had a certain view to see the perfection of his work while at the rest of the viewpoints only jumbles of lines were produced. This displays that to extend reality some natural elements needed to be sacrificed. The Naturalistic form allowed the figures to appear alive and have the illusion of perfection within

This brings us to the final impending question. Is there truly good in the world according to J.R.R. Tolkien in The Hobbit? This idea of good in the world has often been explored within countless pieces of literature and has marked itself as a truly meaningful concept to be evaluated. The main questions spurring from this concept, which are often explored, usually concern the presence of good and evil within a situation or setting. Building upon this I myself have chosen the concepts of good and evil for which I am to base my milieu. This milieu is to be expanded upon in my evaluation of The Hobbit and will be explored in terms of presence and sense of conformity to both the Boethian and Manichaean ideologies. I have chosen these specific ideologies to focus on for the reason that they represent both sides of an ongoing argument concerning the status of good in the world and therefore offer a fair balance to each other. The Boethian notion of good, in my opinion, asserts that the only working force within the world is that of good, and that what most perceive as evil is simply the absence of good. The Manichaean ideology (as previously mentioned) seems to be more of a modern interpretation of the working forces in the world. This ideology asserts that good and

Additionally, fossils belong to a whole other category, animals and plants from prehistoric times. Consequently, this doesn t provide information about primitive culture and don t assist scientists seeking data on primeval civilization. Furthermore, bog bodies are probably the most complex sources of enlightenment because they can provide clothing, weapons, and materials of specific eras, as well as informing us about their actions. Dixon was able to have Margaret Blagge stand out from the background by composing the whiteness of her skin directly next to the darkness of the background. By using tenebrism, Matthew Dixon was able to achieve a great deal of volume in his painting. Where the whiteness of Margaret Blagge s skin touches the darkness of the background it is as though she can be lifted out of her frame. John Singer Sargent s Portrait of Sally Fairchild, is different in comparison to Matthew Dixon s portrait, because there is not much chiaroscuro in it. • 32. Business Ethics and Law Business Law Scenario 1: Falsifying a Resume (Ethics and Law Chapter 2) Peter Crist is almost always correct. The reality is that if someone lies or covers stuff up, most of the time they will be found out eventually be it in two days or in 20 years. However, the reality is that some people do lie and cover stuff up in professional and personal situations and are never exposed. Sometimes this is because they re in a situation where dishonesty is prized, other times it s because the people around them turn a blind eye to what they see because they don t want to know the truth. Other times, it s because the person engaging in the dishonesty is so crafty and so quick that the trickery and subterfuge is almost inscrutable. However, the fact remains that Crist is correct. Often people are found out because those who are engaging in the trickery have so much hubris and so much arrogance that they engage in bolder and bolder moves, believing that they will never be caught. One example of that from the recent past is of Bernie Madoff. His crime was a simple Ponzi scheme which grew larger and larger in size and scale to the point where he couldn t help but be found out. In this case, the fact that Ms. Jones was found out was somewhat expected: she advanced to such a position of power within the institution that she was almost one of their public figures, which meant that her credentials would be under greater scrutiny. The reason that people falsify their resumes is partly for

Emma Lazarus, a poet from the 1800s believed it did according to her poem, The New Colossus, a poem for immigrants to meet the foot of the statue of Liberty. Though Lazarus tries to convince immigrants of Americans Openness, many Americans likely find her poems expectation of America to far exceed the reality of Americas racial and international relation between 1877 and 1945. • 34. Ef And Theory Of Mind EF and Theory of Mind It has been suggested that there is a strong link between EF and Theory of Mind (ToM; Moses Carlson, 2004). ToM is the ability to infer other people s mental states, such as intentions, thought, feelings, and beliefs (Baron Cohen, 1988). Neuroimaging studies have indicated that prefrontal cortex is involved in thinking about mental states (e.g., Amodio Frith, 2006; Frith Frith, 2003; Sabbagh Taylor, 2000; Siegal Varley, 2002). It was well documented that individuals with ASD have deficits in both ToM and EF (e.g., McEvoy, Rogers, Pennington, 1993; Pellicano, 2010; Russell, 1997; Zelazo, Jacques, Burack, Frye, 2002). Moreover, EF abilities play a pivotal role in ToM development (Pellicano, 2013). The predictive relationship between EF and ToM has been shown in the previous studies not only in individuals with ASD (Kimhi, Kugelmas, Agam Ben Artzi, Ben Moshe, Bauminger Zviely, 2014) but also in typically developing individuals (Carlson, Moses, Claxton, 2004; Hughes Ensor, 2007; Moses Tahiroglu, 2010). For instance, Cognitive Flexibility and verbal abilities are the key predictors for performance on the ToM tasks (Kimhi et al., 2014). In summary, there were some evidence suggest the importance of Working Memory in social communication and interaction abilities for individuals with ASD, yet other evidence showed mixed results of specific EF abilities. Nonetheless, it is safe to conclude that deficits in ToM hinge on the development of EF, especially Working Memory (holding in mind other s perspective) and Inhibition (repressing the irrelevant information) (Carlson et al., 2002, 2004). Overall, individuals with ASD have trouble with both EF abilities and ToM abilities, and EF is thought to play a significant role in the development of ToM (Carlson et al., 2013). As such, trainings that promote EF abilities among individuals with ASD might subsequently facilitate the development of ToM. Welfare Drug Testing Essay Public welfare is the term which stands for the variety of tax supported programs that provide cash assistance or services to residents who are not able to financially take care of themselves (Hansan, 2011). This program was started in the 1930 s during the Great Depression. There are several types of welfareincluding health care, food stamps, child care assistance, cash aid, and housing assistance. Medicaid is considered to be one of the welfare programs; it is a medical care that provides cash income assistance for the poor ( Medicaid , 2002). Recipients must meet multiple requirements that are established prior to receiving aid. The requirements include low income, child dependency, family size, and any crisis situation such as pregnancy, unemployment, and medical emergencies (Welfare Information, n.d.). As of today, some states require welfare recipients to get drug tested when applying for financial benefits. Arguments arose whether the test should take place or not. Many people believe that the government should not drug test welfare recipients because unpleasant consequences occur. Not only does drug testing recipients create chaos in the U.S. bureaucratic system, it also labels the recipients, creating stigma and deviance especially if the test comes out positive. Welfare recipients are being discriminated by society and this may lead to knowledge gaps between the underclass and other social classes which creates a caste system. Water chemistry and plankton in unfertilized ponds in pastures and in woods.635 636, Stickney, R.R., 1979. Principles of warm water aquaculture. John Wiley Sons, New York. Nitrogen fixation is the process by which bacteria, aerobic, anaerobic and photosynthetic transform atmospheric nitrogen to organic nitrogen. [30] Many organisms such as plants also rely on this process for survival. Ammonification is the process by which organic nitrogen is converted to nitrogenous ammonia by heterotrophic microorganisms. Nitrification is the biological conversion of ammonia to nitrate. Nitrifies carry out this process and can be autotrophic
  • 51. Sportsmanship And Sportsmanship Of A Team Sportsmanship All athletes can recognize that being a part of a team is hard. It is incredibly difficult to select a group of teenagers that will (1) all get along, (2) work together seamlessly, and (3) respect their coaches. The formula for the perfect team is unknowable. One negative spirit always exists to drag the teamdown, to deflate their motives and increase their egos; but that does not have any effect on the sportsmanship of a team. Sportsmanship does not rely on the cohesiveness of a team. It does not correlate with how many bonding trips a team endures or how many groups of friends are on the team. It is not entirely internal or entirely external. Sportsmanship is not simply the willingness of an athlete to respect other... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nevertheless, attitudes and jealousy grew. We dominated over other JV2 teams on the court, due to the lack of completion rather than our skill; but we struggled in practice. None of us could figure out how to work together. Not until our second tournament. The morning bus ride was quiet and unassuming. Everyone sat separately and stared out their own windows, listening to their own music. Upon arrival, we pulled up kneepads, put on out ankle braces, tied our shoes, and trudged onto the court for warmup. Even with no energy, we won our first game, and the one after that, and the one after that. First in our pool, yet there was no real celebration. Bracket play started and, finally, we met some teams that actually challenged us. While energy started to rise, so did the attitudes. After actually playing, for once, cockiness spread throughout the team. Then, after fighting our way past a small team in bright red jerseys, a game won purely by luck and consistent serving, we found ourselves in the championship game. Our final opponents hailed from one of those pretentious private school in Portland. We had watched part of one of their games earlier, which did nothing to boost our confidence. While most of them acted tough, our team was an accumulation of low self confidence and highly neurotic girls. Psyched out by the mere height of the team (they had two six foot five
  • 52. Keystone Predation Topic and Justification Interactions between organisms and their environment shape how ecosystems function. Research has shown that some species can occupy a keystone role, providing disproportionately great benefits to the ecosystem and its inhabitants, highlighting their importance to stability and biodiversity (Hooper et al., 2005; Hossack et al., 2015). However, keystone predation is still a contentious topic, especially when asserting that apex predators of most ecosystems provide their own incredible ecosystem influences (Estes et al., 2011). This study aims to analyze the importance of the tertiary predator Puma concolor (Mountain Lion), an organism not known for a significant keystone relationship with Mendocino landscapes. This study will look at predator prey interactions and frequency, and abiotic dependencies on prey behavior, all within two Mendocino habitats with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Their presence, and often the mere possibility of it, induces behavioral changes in prey that limit how much said organisms forage and reproduce. Ultimately, production of this so called landscape of fear limits prey populations, along with direct predation (William et al., 2014). These types of indirect effects are also manifested by humans, and have strong behavioral implications for apex predators. Studies show that mountain lion prefer to perform reproductive behaviors, like communication and denning, much further from human development than they do more regular behaviors, like feeding (Wilmers et al., 2013). Human encroachment has a significant behavioral consequence for these creatures. So, in order to maintain the keystone benefits of an apex predator, both their populations and home ranges may require often disregarded protections (Hannah, Midgley, Millar, 2002; Wilmers et al.,
  • 53. Multiverse Mysteries of the Multiverse Name: Assif Khan Student no: Subject: PCS 181 The term multiverse has many nicknames including but not limited to quantum universes, alternate universes, alternate realities etc. But, what is the multiverse? If one was to look up the meaning of the word, the definition that is provided in the Oxford Dictionary states a hypothetical space or realm consisting of a number of universes, of which our own universe is only one 1. The use of the term multiverse or its other moniker parallel universe, has been used in cosmology, physics, and philosophy to perhaps more prominently in science fiction literature and movies for decades. Ever since Edwin Hubble discovered that the universe is expanding in the 1920s, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though existence of multiverse has not been proven to be a fact as of yet, the primary concern regarding the validity of multiverse theory is the fact that the existence of multiverse is not observable nor scientifically testable. Science is based on validity, reproducibility and the pursuit of truth. However, how does one prove the existence of something, if it is purported to exist outside of our visual horizon? Unlike distant stars, we have yet to see light, emitted from a parallel universe through a telescope. So, the argument against multiverse theory is that it is a belief, rather than a proven scientific fact and it is hypothetical in nature. And prioritizing hypothesis over observational confirmations is a mistake that scientists are not afforded to make. George Ellis4, Professor of mathematics from University of Cape Town supports this view by suggesting that even if there were infinite number of universes, infinite is a mathematical entity rather than a physical one and therefore, we could not count the infinite galaxies in a finite time and thus, it is impossible to prove the existence of infinite universes through mathematical tests and observations. And if it cannot be tested, why should it be any more scientifically valid than metaphysics or astrology? But, defenders of multiverse theory point to Kant and his speculation regarding some nebulae being island universes 5
