the data to extract relevant and credible content.
The key to a successful expository essay lies in the ability to convey information in a clear,
concise, and organized manner. This involves synthesizing complex concepts, ensuring accurate
representation of facts, and maintaining a logical flow throughout the essay. The challenge
intensifies when attempting to strike a balance between providing in-depth insights and avoiding

Summary Of The Last Of The Mohicans
Throughout Cooper s novel the reader and Hawkeye are provided with many
oppositions and situations based on Culture, Race, and Geography that creates
many tensions throughout the novel. The Last of the Mohicans tends to be
centered on the Character Hawkeye, a pathfinder and pioneer that links the
wilderness and civilization as mediation. The text itself is driven to be a generic
paradox and an encompassing narrative, the history with romance and the
disagreement between fact and fiction. Cooper uses a blend of facts and fiction in
many scenarios. The third year of the Indian and French War The Last of The
Mohicans suppresses the boundaries or outlines that divide literature and history in
order to create a narrative of American, within which the real man can be
understood. Hawkeye, who is so to say a typical American is between the fiction
and fact boundary. He links the people and the actual events of the period of time to
fit right in to Coopers genre. The Indian Nations, Fort William Henry massacre,
Colonel Munroe, and Marquis de Montcalm are all based on fact but then Cooper
intertwines significant romance. Coopers chosen genre, historical romance, is based
on the movement between the stages of cultural development or hostile civilizations.
It allows cultural self awareness and analysis, which allows the narrative expression.
In a traditional narrative love is a quest rather than a cultural analysis. The texts
movement tracks the hero as he or she enters the unknown
The Prayer Of An Ecumenical Worship
An ecumenical worship strives to unify people of a specific church. On campus,
there is a group called Common Ground which offers a weekly ecumenical worship
on Sundays at 8pm in the Clock tower lounge. The service that I attended lasted for
an hour and included Communion. Also, two students read from the scriptures: John
20:19 to John 20:30 relating to An Empty Tomb and dealing with doubt. An activity
being included during the service surprised me. I knew at some churches there was
time for reflections and moments to speak with a neighbor, but the activity was
connected to Matthew 26:36 to Matthew 26:56. The symbolism of taking a cup and
helping to ease one s troubles was especially calming at this time of year can be
stressful.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some believe that the bread and wine are a literal representation of Christ s body.
Others partake of Communion as a way to recreate a version of the Last Supper. Not
to say that is a wrong way of interpreting the bible, but that the practice fails to
understand the historical critical perspective of what Communion is. The original
symbolism of Communion was meant to help unify the church. However, in today
s society, there are different versions of Communion that actually separate the
church into who is able or allowed to partake in the bread or the wine and who is
not. There are closed and open Communions which undermines the original intent
of a Communion by limiting who is allowed to take in the bread and the wine. That
is not to say that Communion has been corrupted everywhere, but the fact that
these terms exist exemplify that in some places, it has lost the original meaning.
At the service I attended the Communion was passed around and each person
served their neighbor after their turn. I was in the front row and would have been
the last one to receive Communion. However, I was never baptized and do not
believe in God. I didn t want to step on anybody s toes, so I asked my friend who
was next to me to bring it back to the front because I was nervous. She still offered it
to me when my turn for communion came along, and after I shook my head no, she
brought it back to the front.
One of the difficulties the sermon I attended dealt with

Is Shylock Victim Or Villain in William Shakespeare s The Merchant of Venice
William Shakespeare wrote the Merchant of Venice in the Elizabethan period. The
play is about Shylock, a Jewish money lenderВЎ: trying to make a living and survive
in a community that despises him and marginalia s him. Before the plot even starts,
Shylock is condemned for being a Jew, and a moneylender. Jews were forbidden to be
successful businessmen in Venice, so the only occupation open to him was money
lending which they exploited to the full, this gave Shakespeare an opportunity to
capture sympathy and understanding from the reader towards Shylock.
One of Shylock s first phrases in the play is Three thousand ... Show more content on

Shylock is trying to say that we are all the same as one another, but just have
different religions.
Antonio has gone bankrupt, as all his wealth was invested in his ships, which have
been sunk out at sea. Shylock s bond has now been activated and he demands his
rightful pound of flesh under Venetian law. Shylock is represented as a villain, in
the court scene in Act Four, Scene One. He walks in and places the scales of
justice, on the table taking off his Jewish gabardine. The court scene is Shylock s
only chance for some justice, if not in the bond then as a way of revenge for how
he has been treated all his life. The court is very one sided from the minute
Shylock is ordered in by the judge. Go on, and call the Jew into the court This
shows the judge as being biased against Jews and Shylock, even before they start.
He is blatantly influencing the court, with his own prejudiced views; thus Shylock is
having an unfair trail. He is being judged in a Christian court, not a court of law.
Shylock wants his form of justice in his bond he made with Antonio, who is known
as the merchant of Venice, which is where the title of the play comes from. Shylock
lent Bassanio three thousand ducats on behalf of Antonio .The bond was that a pound
of flesh nearest to his heart could be taken if
Nathan Hale Spy Ring Essay
A dead spy hangs on the gallows. In a failed attempt to cross enemy lines, twenty
one year old Nathan Hale, caught with sketches of British fortifications is
immediatly setenced to death. Immortalized by his final words I only regret that I
have but one life to lose for my country. he is hanged unceremoniously by the British
on September 22 1776. The message to all Americans is clear: you spy, you die.
How do six ordinary untrained citizens change the course of the American Revolution
? The story of the Culper spy ring, an American spy network, answers just such a
question. Operating during the War for American Independence, it was a ring so
secretive that even George Washington himself was ignorant of the spies identities.

business. Establishing an unbreakable code was the first test of the spy network s
viability. Tallmadge after barely evading capture, urgently begins to assemble a

London edition Entick s Spelling dictionary, Tallmadge assigns each pertinent word,

Summary Of Kenneth Slessor s North Country
Through the immersion of one in a variety of physical environments, the
manipulation of genre, form and perspective presents a polysemic representation of a
diverse range of landscapes, in turn allowing responders to develop complex
understandings into the human psyche. Specifically, through the interwoven
utilization of complex allusions and personalized outlooks Alain De Bottons The Art
Of Travel shapes humanities greater knowledge of traveling s impact on the human
behavior and perception. Likewise, this notion is extended amongst Kenneth Slessor
s minimalistic, poetic piece North Country in which the composer highlights man s
dichotomous relationship with the physical world, and how ongoing, differentiated
experiences cultivate interpersonal growth and develop individualized standpoints
towards the wider globe. Consequently, both texts elicit portrayals of innumerable
landscapes, which foreground the intricacies of civilization through the construction
of a piece that reveals the subjectivity of our human mentalities today.
Recollecting empowers the individual to delve deeper into meaningful encounters
that assist in developing identity whether it be from a reminisced, imaginative or
realistic. Illustrating this analogy is Botton s AOT through its alteration of the basic
novel structure to fully capture landscapes as the product of personal perception, all
whilst challenging the reader to reconsider the true sense of these places and their
everlasting impact on
The Theory Of Head Start Program
Head Start is a federally funded, education development program that was created
in 1965. The program provides education and services for eligible children from
low income families. Head Start s philosophy focuses on the development of social
emotional, physical and mental health, nutrition, and working with families and
the community and stated low income people should help plan and run their own
programs (p. 41 42). Head Start has truly expanded their resources over the years
by providing a full school year for ages 3 6 years old and offering services such as
health screenings, referrals, and social services (p. 42). Most importantly, each and
every Head Start program must follow the federal Head Start Program Performace
Standards that address all areas of development (p. 42). The program is truly
committed to support low income families and creating an education system that
supports all aspects of the child. Urie Bronfenbrenner was one of the founders of
Head Start and adapted the Ecological Theory. The theory describes how social and
cultural contexts influence a child s development. Those contexts would include
social, political, legal, and economic systems (p. 131). According to Bronfenbrenner,
he believed each system influenced eachother as well as the growth of the child. He
also believes in the importance of family, peers, community, culture, society, and the
time period (p. 131). The theory relates to the Head Start program because it
discusses how society
Hyperuricaemia Research Paper
Hyperuricaemia which is distinguished by abnormal high levels of uric acid is
present in 5 30% of the general population and appears to be increasing worldwide
(1). It has been considered as an important risk factor for gout and may be associated
with development of several oxidative stress diseases such as cancer and
cardiovascular diseases (2, 3). The control of uric acidproduction has been widely
regarded as a key factor in the prevention and treatment of hyperuricaemia (4). Liver
xanthine Oxidoreductase is the key enzyme in the catabolism of purines, and
catalyses the oxidation of hypoxanthine to xanthine and xanthine to uric acid. This
enzyme occurs in two distinct forms. Xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH) is the frequent
active form under physiological conditions. Under... Show more content on

However, some severe adverse effects such as hepatitis, nephropathy and allergic
reactions limit the clinical use of allopurinol (3). Several in vitro observations
confirmed the XO inhibitory activity of some phytochemicals such as flavonoids (7
10). Flavonoids are non nutrient polyphenolic compounds that occur in plants and
consist of six major classes based on specific structural differences:
flavonols, flavones, flavanones, catechins, anthocyanidins, and isoflavones (11).
Therefore, a promising approach for hyperuricemia and its complications might be a
combination therapy utilizing dietary flavonoids and hypouricemic pharmaceuticals
at a suboptimal dosage to minimize any potential adverse side effects. The present
study was designed to screen natural compounds for their xanthine oxidase inhibitory
potential. Xanthine oxidase inhibitors (XOI) are used in the treatment of gout. Gout is
a common worldwide health problem. It arises due to elevated serum levels of uric
acid. Xanthine oxidase inhibitors block the production of uric

Sexism And Women s Rights
Women make up half of this world s human population, and with consideration of
this fact, who is to say women are lesser of the two genders? Sexism and Women s
Rights are a global issue, that affects more than just woman themselves. Even in the
United States, commonly known as the Land of the Free , ironically is empowered
by the Statue of Liberty, which presents false ideas that women are well respected in
this country and provided with equal rights. Throughout history, women have
constantly been working hard to prove their strength and ability, it was not until the
twentieth century that women started to rise up in society and were slowly
beginning to be viewed as an equally capable being in the eyes of the United States.

Even though America has still not reached gender equality, I do agree with those
who claim that American women have substantially grown in society and
contradicted many stereotypes. In places like Afghanistan, women are not to go
anywhere without the approval of men. There are who try to escape their abusive
husbands are thrown in jail. Though a jail sentence may seem tragic, many feel
that if they were to ever be let out would be killed. In Armenia when women try to
inform authorities of the abuse they are experiencing at home, they are asked what
they did to deserve their beating, or are sent home because wife beating is a family
matter. (Source two) Home is supposed to be where one is most comfortable.
Home is supposed to be where one feels safe, it is not a place that anyone should
fear or feel the need to run away from. Because of the severe violence women
encounter internationally, I support women s right once again rising to a status of
urgency, so that women who try to stand up for themselves using the little self esteem
they have theft, will be provided with reassurance that the trauma they endured was in

The Punic Wars
The Punic Wars were made of three major wars. The last war was kind of a
punishment for Carthage from Rome. The two powers in these wars were Rome
and Carthage. Rome was controlling the main peninsula of Italy while Carthage
was controlling the islands and trade of the Mediterranean. Rome and Carthage
were once on a friendly term until things went south well. The Punic Wars have
major historical content that involve both leaders on opposite side as well as the
battles among the two city states. These wars were about two powerful city states
trying to see who is more dominant. These wars were like the US and Russia trying
to show imperial power and show who is the bigger person in town.
1The first Punic War was from 264 241 BC. In 264 BC, Rome intervened in a
dispute on the western coast on the island of Sicily which at that time was a Carthage
province. The intervention was about an attack by soldiers from Syracuse against
Messina. Carthage supported Syracuse and Rome supported Messina. The control
of Sicily was at stake when both Carthage and Rome went into direct conflict.
Before the war started, Rome had been rebuilding its entire fleet in order to confront
Carthage powerful navy. Rome won its first naval victory at Mylae in 260 BC. At
the end of the first Punic War, the Roman fleet indecisive won against the
Carthaginians at sea which ended the Carthaginians legendary naval superiority.
Sicily became Rome s first overseas province.
After its victorious win, Rome took
New York City, Tokyo And Paris
Introduction: With all major cities in the world, such as: New York City, Tokyo and
Paris, comes a exceptional transit system. Whether its is subways, buses, light rail
transit (LRT) or a combination of the above, they all perform a crucial role in
transporting people from one destination to the next. Since opening in 1954, Toronto
s Transit Commission, also known as the TTC, has a system that just about cover
every part of Toronto, with 4 subway/rapid transitlines, 143 busand 11 streetcar routes
in 2015, (TTC, 2015). Unfortunately, the TTC is still plagued with many problems,
such as: unexplained delay and overcrowding, which decline the riderships and
revenues (Curry, 2016; Hume, 2016). Furthermore the population of the greater
toronto area(GTA) is expected to grow in the upcoming years, Toronto s transit
system would not be ready for the increase in capacity (CrosstownTO, 2014).
Therefore in order to increase the transit system s capacity and make it more
appealing, more LRT/Bus lines would need to be built in the GTA due to their
constructability, benefits to society and the environment, flexibility in suburbs and
their low risks in meeting ridership goal.
Constructability
Planning and constructing a new transit system is simple and inexpensive task .
Everyones loves the idea of subways, those electric powered trains can travel at rapid
speeds of 24 39 km/hr with their own right of way and carry over 1500 passengers
per train and serve as the backbone of any
Essay about John Dillinger
On June 22nd 1903 John Herbert Dillinger was born to John and Mollie Dillinger .
His parents ran and owned a grocery store in Indianapolis, Indiana, and at the age of
three his mother died . John Dillinger s father described his son as a restless and
aggressive child . Beginning from a young age, the dark side of Dillinger became
evident, as he created and led a gang called The Dirty Dozen . The worst criminal
act the Dirty Dozen participated in consisted of stealing coal from the nearby
railroad . As Dillinger grew older, so did the intensity of his crimes. In his teenage
years Dillinger stole a car to impress a girl, and when caught he fled to the navy.
According to John he was discharged from the navy, but records say he... Show more

Jail did not alter only Dillinger, but also altered other criminals who he bonded
with throughout his stay. Together they started to create an escape plan. These
men later mentored him in the form of robbing banks. Harry Pierpont, Eddie
Green, Homer Van Meter, Charles Makley, Walter Dietrich, John Hamilton, and
Russell Clark all influenced Dillinger, and after their escape from jail they joined
his gang . Dillinger s completed gang included these men and also John Red
Hamilton, Tommy Carroll, Baby Face Nelson, Pat Reilly, Russell Boobie Clark,
Ed Shouse, Harry Copeland, William Shaw, and Noble Claycomb . One of the
men, Harry Pierpoint, especially became a major influence on John. The two
became close throughout their stay in jail, and worked together in later crimes .
After his parole in May of 1933, Dillinger entered into a broken country and he
soon capitalized on the situation by allegedly freeing his gang from jail, and soon
after he robbed his first bank in Ohio stealing $10,600 . Over the course of the next
four months Dillinger robbed five Ohio and Indiana banks. Towards the end of
1933, the police arrested him in his most recent residence in Ohio . Returning the
favor, his new gang helped John breakout in October of 1933 . It did not take long
for Dillinger to start trouble again, just eleven days after his escape, he and his gang
robbed Central National bank in Illinois taking $75,000 . He robbed his next
Parrot Life History
Squeak, squeak. A baby parrot was born in San Diego, California. There were
about 2 weeks left of summer, and before the family would fly down south for the
winter. The family wanted him to fly before they left, so he practiced for a week
trying to fly. The family prepared and eventually left to South America. The family
lived like they did for 4 months and flew back when they thought it was a good
time to go. The baby parrot was left behind. The parrot did not know what to do, so
he went out exploring for birds or at least someone he could talk to. After 10 minutes
of looking, he found a whole tree full of parrots like him. He thought he would talk
to them but the other parrots did not know what he was saying.

An Analysis on the Works Of Ida B. Wells Essay
In the words of Miss Ida B. Wells: The student of American sociology will find the
year of 1894 marked by a pronounced awakening of the public conscience to a
system of anarchy and outlawry which had grown during a series of ten years to be
so common, that scenes of unusual brutality failed to have any visible effect upon the
humane sentiments of the people of our land. She is depicting a period of time in
American history stained with the blood of hundreds of free African Americanmen,
women and children. These people were unjustly slaughtered through the practice of
lynchingwithin the South. Wells was an investigative journalist and was involved in
exploring, reporting, publishing literature on, and eventually campaigning against the

Twenty first century reporters fill the airwaves with news pertaining to facets of life
entirely opposite of awareness and activism. When news regarding anything aside
from the lives of celebrities or current pop culture does make the headlines, the story
seems presented in a watered down, somehow censored, fashion; leaving the reader
asking more questions than they received answered. As the major methods of mass
media become increasingly consumer driven, the great majority are presented with
less mentally stimulating material called news . As a result, Americans are often less
informed, and thus less willing to become involved in, political, social, and economic
issues, nation and worldwide. Through the application of relevant and straightforward
journalism, like that practiced by Ida B. Wells, the people of this country may be
armed with the knowledge needed to have an effect on the events unfolding today
that will affect tomorrow.
In each of her three bodies of work Wells takes time to carefully explain the
objective for the publication of the document while outlining a plan of action in
order to go about obtaining said objective. She maintains a universal purpose
throughout her campaign, which can simply be summarized as a desire to place the
facts before the American people and later before the world with her ultimate goal
being to intervene boldly
Marketing Plan For Chipotle Mexican Grill
During the fourth quarter of 2015, Chipotle s sales were significantly declined due
to an E.coli outbreak, including 14.6% decline in comparable restaurant sales. As a
result of the food safety incidents, subsequent negative publicity adversely impacted
on Chipotle s restaurant sales and profitability. In response to these incidents on their
sales, Chipotle s objective is to increase comparable restaurant sales by 5% in three
years. It also aims to win back the customers and reverse negative sales trends through
product development.
Table 2 shows that the addition of new items to the menu is an opportunity for
Chipotle to attract more customers. With the weakness of limited menu options
combined with the opportunity, Chipotle can increase sales by introducing new
product categories. While Chipotle Mexican Grill is focusing on Mexican based fast
food, Chipotle opened a new restaurant in 2011 called ShopHouse Southeast Asian
Kitchen, serving Asian inspired cuisine. With this newly brand concept under
Chipotle, this related diversification strategy could be the key to the company s
growth in the future. Due to the food safety incidents, Chipotle is running the risk of
losing loyal customers under the threats of E.coli outbreak. Chipotle plans to bring
back Chorizo to the menu, a blend of spicy pork sausage and chicken, to draw back
its most loyal customers. Moreover, the company has developed a catering program
tapping into new consumer occasions. This newly catering option not

The public relations activity, in addition to acting as the pivot of the aforementioned

Thus we see that the basic principle of public relations is to act in the right way,
seeking the integration of business objectives with the objectives of the public,
including correcting distortions that arise in the pursuit of that rapport. This
principle, as we show below, involves all aspects of business strategy, is completed by
adding to it the communication techniques, helping to show the public the right
actions undertaken by the company.
Key point of public relations activities are the company s values and defining how it

How Is 1984 Relevant Today
Since America is alarmingly becoming a police state, we thought it would be a
good idea to reread the classic dystopian novel 1984. In George Orwell s bleak
imagination of what 1984 could look like when power becomes the ultimate goal,
it appears to be as relevant today than it was when it was published in 1949 if not
stranger now. The novel follows Winston Smith, a man who lives in Airstrip One
(formally Great Britain). He s a member of the middle class Outer Party, and he
lives in a one room flat in what s left of London. He eats what you would think
someone in a dystopian world would eat: crappy bread, synthetic meals, and enjoys

scared of our own police and have protests against them. People who are against the

a fascist dictatorship where citizens are afraid to think or do anything that could get
them arrested. This is what Orwell wrote in 1949. He was influenced by WW2, but
he also knew what could happen within nations after the war. As the novel progresses,
Winston and his girlfriend Julia are both betrayed while joining an underground
movement to overthrow the party. How the ministry tortures them is by making them
go through their worst fears and eventually betraying each other. They later meet and
admit that they both betrayed each other. The torture and reeducation worked so well
that Winston loves Big Brother and rejoins the party with great excitement. Things

Kurt Vonnegut s Breakfast Of Champions
At different stages of his career, Kurt Vonnegut s writing has been categorized as
science fiction, satire, black humor, and post modern. These names are restricting
and none does equity to the scope of Vonnegut s fiction, however an understanding

viewed as a sci fi essayist on the grounds that his initial two books were situated

Vonnegut is not interested in high technological gadgets for his own sake, nor does
he describe future civilization merely to excite his readers. I ve never even bothered
to look it up. I wouldn t know whether I m a satirist or not (Bryan 2).
Vonnegut is regularly viewed as a trial or postmodern author. Although postmodern is

War Of 1812 Dbq Outline
In the eyes of the American people, the War of 1812 was another fight for
independence from the British Empire, a negative influence on American politics and
livelihood throughout its first generation as a nation. By achieving victory in their
Revolution, they gained independence from the British Empire and established
sovereignty over themselves. Americans hoped to prosper in their new country free
of negative European influence, especially British. However, within two decades
Britain began to impress American citizens once again in over 6,000 instances, which
were presented to Congress by president Thomas Jefferson(Nevins). In addition to
ship impressment, British citizens in Canadaaligned with Native American tribes and

In 1836 the Republic of Texas declared independence from Mexico which is
believed to be the reason for the Mexican American War because the American
government approved the annexation of Texas in 1845 ( Mexican American War

during the Mexican War of Independence ( Mexican American War ). Through this,
President James K. Polk saw a perfect opportunity to gain Mexican territories to act
as a way of reimbursement ( Mexican American War ). Signed on February 2, 1848,
the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo concluded the war giving the United States parts of
present day New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California, Utah, Wyoming, and

The Effects Of Breathing During Air ( Control Treatment )...
Figure 1. Compared effects of breathing in air (control treatment) and a simulated
dive (apnea in 10C water) on human heart rate (n=6). Bars represent the combined
mean heart rate of the subjects for both treatments over each measurement period.
Error bars represent 95% CI.
As seen in Figure 1, in the 15 seconds prior to treatment exposure, the mean heart
rates of the subjects were the same, with the control treatment of breathing in air at
85.311.7 bpm, and the simulated dive test treatment at 85.312.1 bpm. During the first
15 seconds of treatment exposure the mean heart rates decreased slightly with the
control treatment at 81.810.0 bpm, which was not significantly different from the test
treatment (80.59.0 bpm). The lowest mean heart rate was observed in the test
treatment between 15 and 30 seconds of treatment exposure (67.78.4 bpm), which did
not significantly differ from the control treatment that remained relatively constant
(81.311.2 bpm). The mean heart rates did not significantly differ between
measurement periods.
DISCUSSION
We hypothesized that humans would exhibit a diving response similar to aquatic
mammals and birds. If the proposed hypothesis is right, then we should observe a
decrease in heart rate from resting heart rate during test (simulated dive) treatment
exposure, and we should not observe any change in heart rate from resting heart rate
during control (breathing in air) treatment exposure. This can be explained by the fact
that the diving response,

PERSUASION, INDOCTRINATION, AND INOCULATION 2 There are many
dangers that plague us in today s society. One of the most pressing issues is that of
driving under the influence of alcohol. This is a problem for many reasons. Firstly,
driving while intoxicated is illegal. It shows the rising problem of substance abuse,
and most importantly, driving drunk is deadly. According to
Drinkinganddriving.org (2008 2013), 900,000 are arrested each year for DUI/DWI
and a full 1/3 of those are repeat offenders . None of us are perfect. We all do things

If you are convicted of DUI, it may be on your criminal record for your entire life.
Offenses also go on your driving record, which potential employers and insurers
can access, ( How Stuff Works , 1998 2013). If you are driving under the influence
of alcohol, the chances of you having a substance abuse problem are very high.
Substance abuse, simply put, is losing control of yourself to a substance. If you do
not have enough self control, or common sense, not to get into a vehicle when you
have any type of foreign substance in your body, then you have a serious problem.
Sure, you may not be waking up at eight in the morning and devouring a bottle of gin,
but you are not only putting yourself in danger, but also others. With the amount of
people in the United states that have problems with alcohol, and the amount of DUI s
that are given, the correlation between the numbers is not at all surprising.
Alcohol is the number one drug problem in America. There are more than 12
million alcoholics in the U.S. Three fourths of all adults drink alcohol, and 6% of
them are alcoholics. Americans spend $197 million each day on alcohol. In the
United States, a person is killed in an alcohol related car accident every 30
minutes. A 2000 study found nearly 7 million persons age 12 to 20 were binge
drinkers. Three fourths of all high school seniors report being drunk at least once.
Adolescents who begin drinking before the age of 15 are four
The Problem Of Inadequate Funds
As you are facing the situation of inadequate funds, are you looking for a provision
from where you can get assistance in monetary terms? Are you getting confused as to
what option to choose? Without thinking much, you can go for installment loans . By
going with this monetary service, the borrower can get hold of immediate cash
support for small needs. The nature of this facility is short term. This makes the rate
of interestquite high. You should just take note of your want and state before you
apply for the desired sum. According to your settlement state and financial condition,
you can obtain a sum that falls in the range of ВЈ80 to ВЈ1500 that you have to pay
back in the suitable repayment time duration of 1 to 30 day. Once the installment
loans comes to you, you can do anything and everything. The borrower can pay the
household and utility bills, can get small house repair jobs done, can send the car to
the garage, can pay the kid s school and tuition fees, can pay the medical bills, can
pay installments of the credit card, can throw a party and so on. Put into use the free
of cost and no obligation online application form for immediate loans , which
would have been made available to you on the website of the money lenders. From
the comfort of your home or office, fill it with your genuine personal details. As and
when the process of application would be over, you would get an approval easily.
The money would get transferred into your bank account, within 24 hours.
A Masterpiece Of Olfactory Art
Chanel No. 5: a masterpiece of olfactory art
It has been over a century since Mademoiselle Chanel, determined to reform the
concept of femininity as much in style as in the essence, commissioned at the chemist
Ernest Beaux what will become the symbol of the international perfumery. Chanel
No. 5 is unquestionably the most legendary ever made fragrance, described as an
opera of olfactory art. Independent, unconventional, and provocative Coco Chanel
transformed her unfamiliar name in an obligatory reference point for fashion design
of the twentieth. Icon of female strength, she translates the complexity and elegance
that characterize the woman, with the creation of what would become the scent par
excellence. Her way of conceiving the perfume is peculiar. When asked where to put
the perfume she replies: A woman should wear a fragrance wherever she expects to
be kissed (A Woman). Coco also launches what turned out according to the
instructions of the designer had to embody a concept of femininity timeless, unique
and fascinating. The avant garde idea of Chanel breaks every scheme imagining her
fragrance for a modern and independent woman, far from the stereotype that
envisages she should perfume of roses. Hence, Chanel No. 5 is the first perfume that
rejects the convention and symbolizes the technological and cultural innovation,
furthermore, the women s empowerment.
Chanel No. 5 is a concentrated of absolute femininity that shook the world of

My Field Of Computer Science
I have always been fascinated by the field of computer science, and that led to me
pursuing a degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University
(NCSU). While at NCSU I had the chance to work under a computer science
professor and learn a great deal from him. As a result of my prior research
experience I believe that I will be a perfect fit for this Research Experience.
Research has been an essential part of my academic life, and doing research has
both increased my critical thinking, and provided me with opportunities to learn,
and effect a change. Doing research has helped me understand what to expect from
a career in the computer science field, prepared me for a future in computer
science. Last year and a half I have built a network of professional connects, and
learned to solve difficult and complex problems, and I want to continue that with this
Research Experience. My first exposure to research was when I joined
EnvironMentors, a science and environmental science based mentoring program
funded by the National Council for Science and the Environment. After joining the
club in sophomore year of high school, I had the chance to work with and receive
mentoring from two graduate students from West Virginia University(WVU). During
the course of the year I worked on coming up with a hypothesis to research,
designing an experiment, collecting data, writing a short paper, and creating a poster.

Symbolism In To The Lighthouse
So waves do a couple things in To the Lighthouse. First, and most importantly, they
are the drumbeat of Time for Mrs. Ramsay. They are usually a soothing force, but
they take on a more ominous tone when they become synonymous with
destruction. For Mr. Ramsay, waves are a destructive power because they are part
of the vast sea of human ignorance that eats away at a little spit of land
symbolizing human knowledge. We threw out the idea that waves are a negative
force, but our trash guy picked it up and threw it back at us. Smart man. How can
you attach a value to the rhythm of life itself? The waves represent flux you know,
ups and downs, as well as forcibly reminding Mrs. Ramsay of transience. Life, as
well as waves, always goes on, but they re never the same. So, if you didn t pick up
on it by now, the impermanent waves are a counterpoint to the permanent lightfrom
the Lighthouse.

Eat At My Restaurant Cash Flow Review
Eat at My Restaurant Cash Flow Review
Remaining profitable in the restaurant industry is a requirement conceivably not
considered as difficult for common chains like Taco Bell, Panera and Starbucks.
Many factors impact the sustainability of cash flow for the restaurant industry when
looking at changes in market trends for a product, menu pricing, and inventory
management. Consistent to each of the parent companies for these restaurants
however, is the need to ensure adequate and positive cash flow to satisfy the
corporation s stakeholders. An evaluation of these three parent companies to identify
potential cash flow problems will consider each firm s long term profitability, offer
observations on cash flows and potential risk from the potential investor s perspective.
Long term Profitability
Where long term profitability for an investor is the basis for the choice of where to
invest, one should differentiate difference between net cash from operating activities
and net income. Net cash from operating activities represents cash generated from the
primary business function (Gibson, 2013), in this case food service. It is essentially a
line item in the overarching net income of the company which demonstrates the
company s profitability.
With these two values, an investor can differentiate the effect of increasing, declining
or stagnant sales from the overarching reported net income value of the organization.
The best indicator of long term profitability will be net
The Causative Agent Of Acquired Immune Deficiency
Syndrome...
Introduction
Human Immunodeficiency Virus, HIV, is the causative agent of Acquired Immune
Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Currently, there are two types of HIV isolated, HIV
1 and HIV 2, which are both retroviruses and able to perform reverse transcriptase
(Leboffe 2011). While HIV 1 is spread throughout the world, HIV2 is confined to
West Africa and is better protective against the progression to AIDS
. Genome of HIV
1 only contains nine genes. It is transmitted by body fluids such as blood, breast
milk, semen, and vaginal secretions. Its mode of transmission is via contaminated
blood either by, IV drug use, sexual transmission, mother to child, blood transfusion
or occupational risk. It infects 34 million people in a year worldwide, with
approximately 1.8 million death. In the United States, the population infected with
HIV is approximately 1.2 million people and one out of five people are unaware of
the infection. Human Immunodeficiency Virus is the causative agent of HIV
disease. It is 9.3 Kb positive sense RNA virus and 100 nm in diameter. HIV has no
animal reservoirs and only infects humans (Leboffe 2011).
History
The origin of HIV 1 is a closely related chimpanzee virus that first infected humans in
Central Africa in a first half of the 20th century (Cachay 2016). Some of the events
that together made up rapidly enlarging and increasingly interconnected pools for
transmission of pathogens during 1960 1970 were blood product industries, IV drug

Mechanical Methods of Homogenization in Proteomics
1. Introduction
Proper sample preparation is an integral part of all omics approaches, and can
drastically impact the results of a wide number of analyses. One of the key
components of sample preparation is homogenization. The term Homogenization can
be understood in various aspects and some of its most common usages can be to
describe mixing and dispersing. But, in essence, the aim of homogenization is to
obtain a homogenous mixture i.e. the sample obtained has same composition
throughout its total volume.
Now, homogenization for sample preparation in proteomics can be done by the
following 5 ways:
1. Mechanical methods
2. Sonication
3. Use of pressure
4. Use of Temperature
5. Osmotic and detergent lysis

What I Have Learned? (at least two full pages)
During this second observation at Coastal Grand Mall in Myrtle Beach, South
Carolina, I learned many things. I went to this location on a Saturday night, where
it was full of young people. The weather outside was warm, but rainy, so I believe
this caused even more people to look for indoor fun, so the mall was packed on this
Saturday night.
I began my observation in the food court, which is near the movie theatre. This is

Another thing I noticed about the young people at the mall that night was the
language they used! I was completely appalled at the way these young people were
speaking. As the young people moved about around me, I couldn t believe some of
the words that were coming out of their mouths. I realize that these are young
people and they are still trying to figure themselves out and fit in, but I honestly
did not realize that young people spoke this way. It was very difficult for me not to
speak up at that point and ask them to please not use that type of language. This
made me realize the negativity that must be going on in their minds and hearts. This
really opened my eyes to the actions of young people that I wasn t aware of.
Seeing the way these young people were acting, dressing, and speaking made me
realize, to an even greater degree, how important youth ministry is. These young
people broke my heart that night as I realized how lost they must be. Many of them
probably didn t grow up in loving homes. Many of them may not even have homes to
go to when they left the mall that night. What is truly heartbreaking is that many of
them may have never had anyone share the Gospel with them. Their actions that
night are only a result of the environment they ve grown up in. I tried to imagine the
home life some of them came from. As I attempted to look deeper, I wondered which
Difference Between American Identity And The American
Dream
America is in a dark place at the moment. The people are not united, and it s due to
what big business wants. The media reports on all the bad that happens, but they
never seem to report on the good things that relate to the bad. People are so focused
on their wants that they are not looking at what they need. Our Identity has been in
jeopardy for years, but no one seems to realize this. It seems to be that people do not
know the difference between the American Identity and the American Dream. Many
people believe that the American Identity and the American Dream are one and the
same. However, I believe different. The American Dream is an ideal that got popular
in the mid twentieth century and has not changed very much, but achieving it has
been growing more and more difficult depending on who you are, what your exact
dreams are and where you live. In school, students are taught that adults wanted to
settle down, buy a house, have a good paying job, and have a family with hard work
and determination after the Second World War ended. People want equal opportunity

The Identity gives the Dream a backbone to hold itself up. As the Identity changes,
the Dream gets harder and harder to make real and will crumble under its weight

the centuries, these rights and the ones in the rest of the Constitution have been

Jurassic Park Similarities
On planet earth there are great numbers of different species that share similarities in
appearance, structure, and behavior. Dinosaurs the creatures from a past time, are
considered by many to be quite fascinating. They have often been compared to
several species from the animal kingdom. There were correlations between dinosaurs
and other predators, lizards, and most interestingly birds. The book, Jurassic Park, by
the author Michael Crichton, speaks about a company that has discovered a way to
extract and clone dinosaurDNA. In the book Crichton talks about the astonishing
similarities between the birds and the dinosaurs. Although the book is fiction, the
subject concerning the two specieswas based on real paleontologists research. They...

Some dinosaurs were considered to be very intelligent, and some were very fast.
What make this important, is the fact that some birds have that same
characteristic. Birds were used to explain the dinosaurs level of intelligence.
Crichton s interpretation was, Think of them as birds... some new studies show
that a gray parrot has as much symbolic intelligence as a chimpanzee... their
intelligence is unquestioned (Crichton, Jurassic Park, Pg.423). A bird s
intelligence is analyzed to try and comprehend the dinosaur s mental capacity.
Many of the birdlike dinosaurs also shared their intelligence. This also goes to
show the close connection the two species have. What made dinosaurs dangerous
was there connection to birds. According to the author, these velociraptors look
like reptiles, with the skin and general appearance of reptiles, but they move like
birds, with the speed and predatory intelligence of birds (Crichton, Jurassic Park,
Pg.132). Everything about dinosaurs from bone structure to intellect is what makes
these creatures fast. It helps them hunt like birds. Birds are coordinated and the
book shows that dinosaurs are as well. The animals despite their size were built for
speed just as birds were. One could say that birds have evolved from dinosaurs to
become less dangerous in the modern times. The idea of a relationship between and
dinosaurs and birds is
How Did The Armour Change In The Middle Ages
The armour in the middle ages changed drastically from the beginning to the end. It
was very protective and allowed the knight to move quite easily. The armourers were
the masterminds behind the armour. Armourers were on the second line out of four
lines on the feudal pyramid. They were just above the peasants, but just below the
vassals. They ate, dressed, and lived like the ordinary people. Armourers made good
armour and were ordinary. Armourers job was important to the middle ages. To make
the armour the armourers need to use a lot of tools. Some tools included shatterproof
hammers and iron tongs. To make it convenient they had aprons with pockets to put
their tools in. They also used different techniques to make the armour. One technique
they used is carburizing which is when they add ВЅ% 2% of carbon to the armour to

the armour pivot. If the armour wasn t the right fit it d be hard to move even with

The Golden Age Of Chinese Film Industry
During the 1930 s the Chinese Film Industry underwent several improvements in film
techniques; improvements in film quality and the advancements in sound quality,
which led to this period being called the Golden Age of Chinese film. Some very
important directors of the time were Sun Yu, Yonggang Wu and Muzhi Yuan saw the
potential to educate the masses through the filmIndustry. This was done by
highlighting the problems in society; such as inequality between the genders. This
was done by showcasing the plight and struggles of the lower classes who
struggled against society s Confucian morality and values. The main areas that
these directors focus upon in their films were social issues, class struggles and
urbanisation which can be seen in their films, Daybreak (1933) a film about a
traditional rural couple moving to cosmopolitan Shanghai only to be corrupted by
the city. The Goddess (1935) follow the life of a mother forced into prostitution and
her struggle to put her son through education. She suffers abuse from a Boss but also
experiencing the social abuse and stigma attached to her work. Street Angel (1937)
which follows a group of friends who help each other in their dire, poor circumstances
and stand up against the oppression of being exploited by society. Through these
three films, these famous leftist directors educate the nation on the issues of the time.

Hence a company should first figure out the basis of customer s buying decisions
before building the loyalty programs in order to serve them in the best possible
manner.
The article Listening ain t enough stresses upon the fact that customer loyalty cards
are used to generate information about the customers in order to serve them better by
developing products and services according to them. But these alone are not enough
for gaining advantage over the competitors. Trained staff with a heart to serve the
customers with customer centric approach could help in gaining the advantage.
A similar research Loyalty in Retail: A strategic success or a management failure
states that successful loyalty programs do not exist in vacuum. The loyalty cards
provided by the retailers are compared to the hammer. Just as a hammer does not
build a house, a loyalty card does not build customer loyalty. Customer loyalty has
been used as a strategic approach in increasing customer value and thus providing a
good customer experience but it doesn t work alone. A brand value has to be created
in which involvement of the staff, quality of the products, knowledge about the
customers etc. are required.
Shoppers Stop s customer loyalty program is called The First Citizen (Annexure X)

ZenВґs Mind, Beginner s Mind
We, as people, generally view the world through lenses of separation. We view
ourselves as separate from animals, air separate from water, fire separate from
earth, etc... However, this outlook causes us to give different values to things and
people. This, at least in our own minds, serves as a justification for why we treat
them wrongly. How many times have we been guilty of saying this to ourselves
They re mean to me, so I ll be mean to them ? We allow their behavior to shape our
perspective of the situation and react accordingly. Suzuki, a Zen Buddhist in the 1900
s, would argue that this reaction towards the situation is unnecessary and poisonous
for those who want to experience enlightenment. In Zen s Mind, Beginner s Mind , he
shows that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While instinctively wanting to force them out, Suzuki instructs us to allow them
their momentary existence. For after some time, they will eventually leave on their
own. By trying to calm them, you will cause unnecessary pain upon yourself and
lose the zazen posture. If you try to calm your mind, you will be unable to sit.
(Suzuki, 33) This exercise trains us in the ability to see what is as what is. We allow
life to progress, and we just observe its movements. Focusing on our breathing allows
us to concentrate on maintaining our posture, thereby keeping ourselves straight in
the movements of life. By relinquishing control, there s one less thing that impedes
our ability to experience the present
Asoka s Influence On Greece And India
Greek, Macedonian, Roman and Chinese Empires absorbed many of the attributes of
India by contact through the Silk Road and Spice Trade Routes. These influences are
reflected politically, in leadership, culturally, in their ideology, geographically, with
the migration of peoples, inter regionally through trade, among the various regions,
the spread of religion, artistic, as well as intellectual pursuits, etc.
India s influence on the Greece/ Macedonia territory was of great impact religiously.
During the Indian emperor Asoka s reign, around the year 260 B.C.E , after his
conversion to Buddhism, he was so inspired that he sent out missionaries to many
areas, including the territory around Greece. (Spodek 244) Although not as widely
spread as it was in China, Buddhism was spread throughout Greece because of these
missionaries. The relationship between Greece and India was one of commodity
and friendship (Video) When the Greek King Megasthenes traveled to India, he
wrote about how the government had such respect for him and foreigners in general.
The peace in India could be attributed to Asoka s rule and the policies of peace he
enforced. Megasthenes said about the Indian people, The people enjoyed a reputation
for honesty; lying and stealing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As previously stated, Asoka sent many missionaries around the world to minister
about Buddhism and convert as many people as he could . (Spodek 244) He sent
these missionaries to Rome, and this aided the spread of Buddhism around that
time. India and Rome had constant trade going on between them, including the
popular form of sea trade. When it all comes down to it, Rome mostly wanted
spices and silk from India and India mostly wanted gold from Rome. These trades
recorded by both the government of India and the government of Rome. (Casson) It
was said, India was a well decorated area during the times of the Roman/Indian trade.

Recent Medical Discoveries In Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Disease
Abstract
Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva disease also known as FOP is a rare genetic
disease of the connective tissue. FOP can be characterized by malformations of the
big toe. This malformation is a characteristic feature that helps distinguish the disease
from other muscle and bone issues. It is a disease that is caused by a mutation in the
bodies repair mechanism. This causes muscle and connective tissue such as ligaments
and tendons, to be ossified spontaneously or when they are damaged. Sometimes
the bone can be permanently frozen in place in some cases. FOP is usually seen in
early childhood it starts with the neck and shoulder and proceeds down the body
and into the limbs. People who suffer from FOP are basically imprisoned by their
own skeleton. Majority of FOP cases are sporadic and are a result from a new gene
mutation (Lerardi Curto and Lynne). This mutation is an autosomal dominant
disorder; this means it affects those who are heterozygous with a homozygous
recessive partner because of this it means their children will have a fifty percent
chance of having FOP. Most cases of FOP are a result from new mutations in the
gene. People who have FOP and have the heterozygous phenotype have less severe
affects than those who have the homozygous dominant phenotype. Patients who have
FOB have the ossification gene that is still working in their bodies and it is usually
turned off after a
Direct Cinema Essay
Direct Cinema
The term direct cinema was coined by American director Albert Maysles, to describe
the style of documentary that he and his contemporaries were making in the 1960s as
a result of a lightweight, portable 16mm camera and high quality lightweight audio
recorders becoming available. The introduction of these, together with film stock
which was sensitive enough to give a good quality close up monochrome picture
under most lighting conditions
(Including hand held lights) led to a revolution in Documentary filmmaking, allowing
film crews to be much more flexible. Gone were the days of bulky, virtually
immobile 35mm cameras; now manufacturers improved their 16mm stock and
accepted it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ideal subjects for documentaries according to the direct cinema ethos were:
1) A person who is interesting;
2) A person who is in an interesting situation which s/he cares deeply about;
3) A subject where a conclusion can be arrived at in a limited time; and
4) A subject where there is easy access to events.
The group believed that the cameraman, the director and the sound recordist were all
equal in status and were all film makers, playing a role in an integrated process. They
felt that the filmmaker s relationship with the subject was personal and one of
equality, and that an audience was active in its engagement with the film. Direct
cinema practitioners wished the audience to be presented with sufficient evidence to
enable them to make up their own minds and not be mere passive observers.
... the degree to which the camera changes the situation is mostly due to the nature of
the person filming it... Richard Leacock.
Direct cinema was conceived with TV in mind. In the 60s TV had poor picture
quality, the black and white image being frequently fuzzy with viewers reliant on
good quality sound. Image quality such as this fitted in perfectly with direct cinema s
stance on camera framing and editing; anything more complex than
Airplane Leasing Essay
Investments in Airplane Leasing
What is it? Airplane leasing is a type of leasing or investment by which a lessor
allows a lessee to lease an airplane and/or a combination of flight crew, ground crew,
fuel, maintenance, and other flight related necessities. With this type of investment,
the average return on investment (ROI) is 12 15%. Costs for the investment in
general will range greatly, but having assets and liabilities worth $10 million is not
uncommon, and larger leasing investors will have upwards of $100 million.
Types Airplane leases usually occur in the wet , dry , and damp varietie.
~ Wet leases are leases in which the lessor provides almost, if not, everything to the
lessee. This will usually include the aforementioned flightcrew, insurance, ground
crew, etc. Wet leases are generally utilized as short term solutions for major and
minor airlines looking to meet high demands or flyer volumes.
~ Dry leases are leases in which the lessee self provides most of the flying necessities
such as fuel, crew, etc. In this way, leases generally are longer termed and the lessee
has more control over general operations.
~ Damp leases are leases in which the lessor provides everything (similarly to a wet
lease) except the cabin crew.
How to invest Obviously, airplanes and their related services are expensive and
daunting. To invest in airplanes as a lessor, one must accumulate capital. Some
airplanes will be cheaper than others and serve various purposes. For
Media Influence On Canadian Culture
Having lived in Canada when I was 8 before the US Canada magazine dispute
occurred, I found myself thoroughly engrossed in Canadian culture. It seemed a
perfect culture, built to protect domestic interests and despite the potential division
between countries, created a safe environment where people were unafraid to leave
doors unlocked, due to almost no crime. The peaceful and respectful nature of most
Canadians isn t just a fluke, the country was designed this way, and one of the
primary influencers of this strategy is the media. Watching the news in Canada, the
focus is positive, the message is positive, there is no forced fear of sense of doom
as we see here in the US. Life is about being sustainable, not so much a struggle to
the top of the food chain, but working together, instead of separating and segregating
groups. That is except the region of French Quebec; however, Quebec is like a whole
new country in itself.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It s a pretty standard sociological equation that Canada has mastered. Free market
proponents seem to think that if Canadians want US media, they shouldn t have a
legal choice, and should be forced to accept the violence and crime that seems to
follow it. The argument goes that it should be an individual s choice to view these
things and they should also have the decisiveness and discernment to know what is
acceptable in society, which makes sense, however, Western influence has a
tendency to flood markets without leaving much of a choice in how to make such a
decision. Thus, those who would wish to avoid such smut would be forced to see it
every time they leave the house as we are here in the
Basaltic Vs Rhyolitic Essay
Explain the differences between Basaltic, Rhyolitic and Andesitic volcanic eruptions
with reference to processes, which lead to the eruptions, the type of volcano produced
and the reasons for the differences between the material erupted by these volcanoes.
Volcanic eruptions are caused by a red hot liquid rock, called magma inside the
earth s core. Volcanoes erupt when magma rises to the surface of the earth, which
causes bubbles of gas to appear in it. This gas can cause pressure to build up in the
mountain, and it eventually explodes. When the magma bursts out of the earth, it is
called lava. The type of magma in the earth can create different volcanoes. If the
magma is quite thin, the gas can escape easily and there will not be an ... Show more

its own.
Lastly, there are Destructive Plate Margins and conservative plate margins.
Destructive Plate Margins are the places where the Earth s crust is being destroyed at
the same rate as they are being formed at the constructive plate margins. Oceanic
Convergence is where oceanic and continental plates meet. As oceanic plates are
denser they go down toward the Mantel; this is subduction. Sediments that have
accumulated at the bottom of the ocean form land mass as they rise as they melt due
to the magma, through the continental crust and then re appear as the continent. Also,
there is oceanic convergence. This is where two oceanic plates meet; one is forced
under the other. Oceanic trenches are formed and island arcs; (Hawaii). Lastly, there
are continental convergence where two continent plates meet and sediment is forced
up to form mountains. And, Conservative Margins are where two plates slide over
each other and there is neither creation nor destruction takes place. There is no
subduction or volcanic activity. However, the plates move
Habits Of Highly Effective People By Stephen R. Covey
Summary of Main Points in 7 Habits of Highly Effective People
This book on 7 Habits of Highly Effective People was written in 1989, is still a great
book today. Stephen R. Covey talked about great habits that we need to encrypt in
our daily living to be effective at work, home and as a person. He explained how the
habits is based on developing our independence. The first habit he talked about was
being proactive in our lives. To be proactive we need to have self awareness of our
actions. We need to take responsibility for the choices we make and take responsible
for those choices.
Second habit is to begin with the end in mind. This is where you develop a vision
of what you want to become and our conscience will decide what values will guide
you and everything that you do should have an end.
Third habit is to put first things first. This is where we need to have discipline to
our day so we make sure that we focus on what is the most important to the least
important. This is where our will power will come into effect so we don t act on our
desires or impulses.
Habit four is the win win thought process. To be successful you need to look at the
problem between you and the other party and approach it with a mutual solution. To
do this it requires understanding and being understood. This way everyone can be
satisfied with the outcome of the solution.
The fifth habit was, seek first to understand them to understood. One important skill
that we need to use is our listening

Agriculture, Horticulture And Ancient Egypt
Agriculture Horticulture in Ancient Egypt
Introduction
This paper will discuss the history of agriculture in Egypt, the forms of agriculture,
horticulture farming, and climate among other factors. The paper will also discuss
issues of ploughing, irrigation, harvesting, livestock farming planting and the crops
grown in this area. Thus, this paper would discuss the above mentioned subtopics and
indicate their contribution in the development of agriculture and horticulture in Egypt
and the world at large. The description of agriculture resembles that of farming. Thus,
agriculture is the business, science or occupation of cultivating land, raising livestock
and producing crops (El Ramady et al, 2013). Before the prospects of agriculture,
ancient world people used the activities of gathering and hunting as their means of
survival. Thus, agriculture preceded the practice of hunting and gathering among the
ancient people particularly those from ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. The Middle
East is credited as being the region where civilization commenced in society and
many discoveries such as agriculture were discovered in this location. Scenically, the
Egyptian landscape is among the extraordinary lands in the globe. The land
comprises a relatively narrow strip of fertile valley that spreads out into the north
delta, while the south spreads through an endless Sahara expanse. The Egyptian land
fertility has never relied on the amount of rainfall for farming and agriculture. The
Strategic Leadership Of Operation Husky
The operational level commanders, of Operation Husky, failed to provide adequate
command and control and were average in their integration of the joint Allied force.
The Allied Force Commander, General Eisenhower, and the 15th Army Group
Commander, General Alexander, failed to apply mission command and specifically
the elements of commander s intent, mutual trust, and understanding. Furthermore,
the Allied Force Headquarters, and specifically the air component commander, Air
Chief Marshal Tedder, poorly integrated the air component into the joint force.
Though Operation Husky is considered an important Allied victory, the poor
performance of the operational level commanders resulted in the Axis forces
successful evacuation of over 100,000 men and 10,000 vehicles from Sicily. This
essay will evaluate command and control and specifically the three mission command
attributes of commander s intent, mutual trust and understanding. It will then
evaluate the operational leadership s integration of militaryforce as defined by Joint
Publication 1 (JP 1) of: The arrangement of military forces and their actions to create
a force that operates by engaging as a whole . It will evaluate the air and maritime
component s performance in the joint functions of movement and maneuver, fires,
protection and sustainment as it applies to their support of the joint force. Finally, it
concludes with what the negative ramifications were of the Allied operational
leadership s failure
Patient Education For Patients And The Education
Introduction
Patient Education is dedicated to patients and the education we should be providing
as health care professional on a day to day basis. Patient Education is one of more
important jobs we do in our career as nurses. Children with chronic health problems
or diseases such as on a pediatric hematology/oncology unit, require skilled, home
based care by parents, supported by professionals. However, once patients are
discharged, it is evident that there is a continuous need for online resources to help
supplement their learning and the professional support they may have received
during discharge. At this time, existing resources consist on patient/parent education
at the bedside, with supplemental handouts to back up the teaching. ... Show more

Dedicated to serving the specialized medical needs of children, from newborns to
adolescents, diagnosed with cancers such as leukemia, brain tumors, and blood
related diseases such as hemophilia, this 33 bed unit often has a full census with
patients waiting to get in. They provide support for family members as well as care
for the unique needs of the oncology patient during all phases of their illness,
diagnosis, treatment, education, and when needed, end of life care. Being that it is a
pediatric unit, most of the education is done by the nurses directly to the parents or
care givers of the children being treated. But often times, the care givers are given
educational information while under extreme stress, still trying to process all the new
information and quite often, they have not come to terms with their child s new
diagnosis. Other times, the nurse may be in a hurry, or may have other challenges
that factor into the lack of understanding. Some of those contributing factors could
include; inadequate knowledge or training of the clinicians, inconsistencies in quality
of care, changes in current practice guidelines, limited health literacy skills, conflicts
with prior training implementation challenges, such as language barriers, and lastly,
inadequate resources for the care givers. It was this last contributing factor that it was
determined a change needed to take
Research Paper On Kettlebells
There always seems to be a new flavor of the month. In weight training, it is
exercising with kettlebells. Although kettlebells have around for what seems
forever, they are now become very popular as part of a weight training routine. A
kettlebell is a cast iron round ball that has a handle attached to it. The design of the
kettlebell makes its weight distribution off center, making it different than working
out with dumbbells. You will need to counter balance and stabilize the weight during
your kettlebell workout. While dumbbells work isolated muscles, kettlebells work
several muscles. Kettlebell weights range, like dumbbells, from very light to quite
heavy. The lightest is about 3Ibs and the heaviest goes well over 100Ibs. Of course,

Five Dollar Bill Essay
I actually really enjoyed the video. It made me think about things that I honestly
never thought about. I thought it was interesting how our currency compares to
other countries. Especially when Neil deGrasse Tyson brought up how although
we do have a scientist on the back of our money that the back of ot has nothing to
do with that scientists achievements. Firstly, I would change the five dollar bill
from having Lincoln on it to Rosa Parks and on the back I would put a picture of
the old buses that were used during the time when the bus boycotts happened.
Although she was not the only person to refuse to move to the back of the bus, she
helped kick start a major movement. I would put her on the five dollar bill, because
it is a very common bill, so most people would see it very often. She was an
amazing person and everyone needs to be reminded of what she did/ started on a
regular basis. Next, I would change the ten dollar bill from having Hamilton on it to
Eleanor Roosevelt and on the back I would put the National Women s Trade Union
League emblem on the back. Eleanor Roosevelt had amazing amount of
accomplishments during her time being the first lady, but her advancements for
women s rights stuck out to me the most. She really changed the whole role of being
a first lady and did things that a first lady has never done before. I think... Show more

worked to try to create a more equal society. I think that everyone needs to

a good bill for her to be on, because she is so relatable and versatile and she can
inspire anyone so, the 20 dollar bill is common, but then also worth a lot to most

  • 2. Summary Of The Last Of The Mohicans Throughout Cooper s novel the reader and Hawkeye are provided with many oppositions and situations based on Culture, Race, and Geography that creates many tensions throughout the novel. The Last of the Mohicans tends to be centered on the Character Hawkeye, a pathfinder and pioneer that links the wilderness and civilization as mediation. The text itself is driven to be a generic paradox and an encompassing narrative, the history with romance and the disagreement between fact and fiction. Cooper uses a blend of facts and fiction in many scenarios. The third year of the Indian and French War The Last of The Mohicans suppresses the boundaries or outlines that divide literature and history in order to create a narrative of American, within which the real man can be understood. Hawkeye, who is so to say a typical American is between the fiction and fact boundary. He links the people and the actual events of the period of time to fit right in to Coopers genre. The Indian Nations, Fort William Henry massacre, Colonel Munroe, and Marquis de Montcalm are all based on fact but then Cooper intertwines significant romance. Coopers chosen genre, historical romance, is based on the movement between the stages of cultural development or hostile civilizations. It allows cultural self awareness and analysis, which allows the narrative expression. In a traditional narrative love is a quest rather than a cultural analysis. The texts movement tracks the hero as he or she enters the unknown
  • 3. The Prayer Of An Ecumenical Worship An ecumenical worship strives to unify people of a specific church. On campus, there is a group called Common Ground which offers a weekly ecumenical worship on Sundays at 8pm in the Clock tower lounge. The service that I attended lasted for an hour and included Communion. Also, two students read from the scriptures: John 20:19 to John 20:30 relating to An Empty Tomb and dealing with doubt. An activity being included during the service surprised me. I knew at some churches there was time for reflections and moments to speak with a neighbor, but the activity was connected to Matthew 26:36 to Matthew 26:56. The symbolism of taking a cup and helping to ease one s troubles was especially calming at this time of year can be stressful.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some believe that the bread and wine are a literal representation of Christ s body. Others partake of Communion as a way to recreate a version of the Last Supper. Not to say that is a wrong way of interpreting the bible, but that the practice fails to understand the historical critical perspective of what Communion is. The original symbolism of Communion was meant to help unify the church. However, in today s society, there are different versions of Communion that actually separate the church into who is able or allowed to partake in the bread or the wine and who is not. There are closed and open Communions which undermines the original intent of a Communion by limiting who is allowed to take in the bread and the wine. That is not to say that Communion has been corrupted everywhere, but the fact that these terms exist exemplify that in some places, it has lost the original meaning. At the service I attended the Communion was passed around and each person served their neighbor after their turn. I was in the front row and would have been the last one to receive Communion. However, I was never baptized and do not believe in God. I didn t want to step on anybody s toes, so I asked my friend who was next to me to bring it back to the front because I was nervous. She still offered it to me when my turn for communion came along, and after I shook my head no, she brought it back to the front. One of the difficulties the sermon I attended dealt with
  • 4. Is Shylock Victim Or Villain in William Shakespeare s The... Is Shylock Victim Or Villain in William Shakespeare s The Merchant of Venice William Shakespeare wrote the Merchant of Venice in the Elizabethan period. The play is about Shylock, a Jewish money lenderВЎ: trying to make a living and survive in a community that despises him and marginalia s him. Before the plot even starts, Shylock is condemned for being a Jew, and a moneylender. Jews were forbidden to be successful businessmen in Venice, so the only occupation open to him was money lending which they exploited to the full, this gave Shakespeare an opportunity to capture sympathy and understanding from the reader towards Shylock. One of Shylock s first phrases in the play is Three thousand ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Shylock is trying to say that we are all the same as one another, but just have different religions. Antonio has gone bankrupt, as all his wealth was invested in his ships, which have been sunk out at sea. Shylock s bond has now been activated and he demands his rightful pound of flesh under Venetian law. Shylock is represented as a villain, in the court scene in Act Four, Scene One. He walks in and places the scales of justice, on the table taking off his Jewish gabardine. The court scene is Shylock s only chance for some justice, if not in the bond then as a way of revenge for how he has been treated all his life. The court is very one sided from the minute Shylock is ordered in by the judge. Go on, and call the Jew into the court This shows the judge as being biased against Jews and Shylock, even before they start. He is blatantly influencing the court, with his own prejudiced views; thus Shylock is having an unfair trail. He is being judged in a Christian court, not a court of law. Shylock wants his form of justice in his bond he made with Antonio, who is known as the merchant of Venice, which is where the title of the play comes from. Shylock lent Bassanio three thousand ducats on behalf of Antonio .The bond was that a pound of flesh nearest to his heart could be taken if
  • 5. Nathan Hale Spy Ring Essay A dead spy hangs on the gallows. In a failed attempt to cross enemy lines, twenty one year old Nathan Hale, caught with sketches of British fortifications is immediatly setenced to death. Immortalized by his final words I only regret that I have but one life to lose for my country. he is hanged unceremoniously by the British on September 22 1776. The message to all Americans is clear: you spy, you die. How do six ordinary untrained citizens change the course of the American Revolution ? The story of the Culper spy ring, an American spy network, answers just such a question. Operating during the War for American Independence, it was a ring so secretive that even George Washington himself was ignorant of the spies identities. Nevertheless ... Establishing an unbreakable code was the first test of the spy network s viability. Tallmadge after barely evading capture, urgently begins to assemble a more complete version of the ring s numerical code. Poring over a copy of the 1777 London edition Entick s Spelling dictionary, Tallmadge assigns each pertinent word, location, and name a number from 1 to 763, resulting in nonsensical gibberish unless of course you had the key. Now there letters read something like
  • 6. Summary Of Kenneth Slessor s North Country Through the immersion of one in a variety of physical environments, the manipulation of genre, form and perspective presents a polysemic representation of a diverse range of landscapes, in turn allowing responders to develop complex understandings into the human psyche. Specifically, through the interwoven utilization of complex allusions and personalized outlooks Alain De Bottons The Art Of Travel shapes humanities greater knowledge of traveling s impact on the human behavior and perception. Likewise, this notion is extended amongst Kenneth Slessor s minimalistic, poetic piece North Country in which the composer highlights man s dichotomous relationship with the physical world, and how ongoing, differentiated experiences cultivate interpersonal growth and develop individualized standpoints towards the wider globe. Consequently, both texts elicit portrayals of innumerable landscapes, which foreground the intricacies of civilization through the construction of a piece that reveals the subjectivity of our human mentalities today. Recollecting empowers the individual to delve deeper into meaningful encounters that assist in developing identity whether it be from a reminisced, imaginative or realistic. Illustrating this analogy is Botton s AOT through its alteration of the basic novel structure to fully capture landscapes as the product of personal perception, all whilst challenging the reader to reconsider the true sense of these places and their everlasting impact on
  • 7. The Theory Of Head Start Program Head Start is a federally funded, education development program that was created in 1965. The program provides education and services for eligible children from low income families. Head Start s philosophy focuses on the development of social emotional, physical and mental health, nutrition, and working with families and the community and stated low income people should help plan and run their own programs (p. 41 42). Head Start has truly expanded their resources over the years by providing a full school year for ages 3 6 years old and offering services such as health screenings, referrals, and social services (p. 42). Most importantly, each and every Head Start program must follow the federal Head Start Program Performace Standards that address all areas of development (p. 42). The program is truly committed to support low income families and creating an education system that supports all aspects of the child. Urie Bronfenbrenner was one of the founders of Head Start and adapted the Ecological Theory. The theory describes how social and cultural contexts influence a child s development. Those contexts would include social, political, legal, and economic systems (p. 131). According to Bronfenbrenner, he believed each system influenced eachother as well as the growth of the child. He also believes in the importance of family, peers, community, culture, society, and the time period (p. 131). The theory relates to the Head Start program because it discusses how society
  • 8. Hyperuricaemia Research Paper Hyperuricaemia which is distinguished by abnormal high levels of uric acid is present in 5 30% of the general population and appears to be increasing worldwide (1). It has been considered as an important risk factor for gout and may be associated with development of several oxidative stress diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular diseases (2, 3). The control of uric acidproduction has been widely regarded as a key factor in the prevention and treatment of hyperuricaemia (4). Liver xanthine Oxidoreductase is the key enzyme in the catabolism of purines, and catalyses the oxidation of hypoxanthine to xanthine and xanthine to uric acid. This enzyme occurs in two distinct forms. Xanthine dehydrogenase (XDH) is the frequent active form under physiological conditions. Under... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, some severe adverse effects such as hepatitis, nephropathy and allergic reactions limit the clinical use of allopurinol (3). Several in vitro observations confirmed the XO inhibitory activity of some phytochemicals such as flavonoids (7 10). Flavonoids are non nutrient polyphenolic compounds that occur in plants and consist of six major classes based on specific structural differences: flavonols, flavones, flavanones, catechins, anthocyanidins, and isoflavones (11). Therefore, a promising approach for hyperuricemia and its complications might be a combination therapy utilizing dietary flavonoids and hypouricemic pharmaceuticals at a suboptimal dosage to minimize any potential adverse side effects. The present study was designed to screen natural compounds for their xanthine oxidase inhibitory potential. Xanthine oxidase inhibitors (XOI) are used in the treatment of gout. Gout is a common worldwide health problem. It arises due to elevated serum levels of uric acid. Xanthine oxidase inhibitors block the production of uric

Sexism and Women s Rights are a global issue, that affects more than just woman themselves. Even in the United States, commonly known as the Land of the Free , ironically is empowered by the Statue of Liberty, which presents false ideas that women are well respected in this country and provided with equal rights. Throughout history, women have constantly been working hard to prove their strength and ability, it was not until the twentieth century that women started to rise up in society and were slowly beginning to be viewed as an equally capable being in the eyes of the United States. Even though America has still not reached gender equality, I do agree with those who claim that American women have substantially grown in society and contradicted many stereotypes. In places like Afghanistan, women are not to go anywhere without the approval of men. There are who try to escape their abusive husbands are thrown in jail. Though a jail sentence may seem tragic, many feel that if they were to ever be let out would be killed. In Armenia when women try to inform authorities of the abuse they are experiencing at home, they are asked what they did to deserve their beating, or are sent home because wife beating is a family matter. Rome was controlling the main peninsula of Italy while Carthage was controlling the islands and trade of the Mediterranean. Rome and Carthage were once on a friendly term until things went south well. The Punic Wars have major historical content that involve both leaders on opposite side as well as the battles among the two city states. These wars were about two powerful city states trying to see who is more dominant. These wars were like the US and Russia trying to show imperial power and show who is the bigger person in town. 1The first Punic War was from 264 241 BC. In 264 BC, Rome intervened in a dispute on the western coast on the island of Sicily which at that time was a Carthage province. The intervention was about an attack by soldiers from Syracuse against Messina. Carthage supported Syracuse and Rome supported Messina. The control of Sicily was at stake when both Carthage and Rome went into direct conflict. Before the war started, Rome had been rebuilding its entire fleet in order to confront Carthage powerful navy. Rome won its first naval victory at Mylae in 260 BC. At the end of the first Punic War, the Roman fleet indecisive won against the Carthaginians at sea which ended the Carthaginians legendary naval superiority. Sicily became Rome s first overseas province. After its victorious win, Rome took

Whether its is subways, buses, light rail transit (LRT) or a combination of the above, they all perform a crucial role in transporting people from one destination to the next. Since opening in 1954, Toronto s Transit Commission, also known as the TTC, has a system that just about cover every part of Toronto, with 4 subway/rapid transitlines, 143 busand 11 streetcar routes in 2015, (TTC, 2015). Unfortunately, the TTC is still plagued with many problems, such as: unexplained delay and overcrowding, which decline the riderships and revenues (Curry, 2016; Hume, 2016). Furthermore the population of the greater toronto area(GTA) is expected to grow in the upcoming years, Toronto s transit system would not be ready for the increase in capacity (CrosstownTO, 2014). Therefore in order to increase the transit system s capacity and make it more appealing, more LRT/Bus lines would need to be built in the GTA due to their constructability, benefits to society and the environment, flexibility in suburbs and their low risks in meeting ridership goal. Constructability Planning and constructing a new transit system is simple and inexpensive task . Everyones loves the idea of subways, those electric powered trains can travel at rapid speeds of 24 39 km/hr with their own right of way and carry over 1500 passengers per train and serve as the backbone of any

His parents ran and owned a grocery store in Indianapolis, Indiana, and at the age of three his mother died . John Dillinger s father described his son as a restless and aggressive child . When news regarding anything aside from the lives of celebrities or current pop culture does make the headlines, the story seems presented in a watered down, somehow censored, fashion; leaving the reader asking more questions than they received answered. As the major methods of mass media become increasingly consumer driven, the great majority are presented with less mentally stimulating material called news . As a result, Americans are often less informed, and thus less willing to become involved in, political, social, and economic issues, nation and worldwide. She maintains a universal purpose throughout her campaign, which can simply be summarized as a desire to place the facts before the American people and later before the world with her ultimate goal being to intervene boldly

Compared effects of breathing in air (control treatment) and a simulated dive (apnea in 10C water) on human heart rate (n=6). Bars represent the combined mean heart rate of the subjects for both treatments over each measurement period. Error bars represent 95% CI. As seen in Figure 1, in the 15 seconds prior to treatment exposure, the mean heart rates of the subjects were the same, with the control treatment of breathing in air at 85.311.7 bpm, and the simulated dive test treatment at 85.312.1 bpm. During the first 15 seconds of treatment exposure the mean heart rates decreased slightly with the control treatment at 81.810.0 bpm, which was not significantly different from the test treatment (80.59.0 bpm). The lowest mean heart rate was observed in the test treatment between 15 and 30 seconds of treatment exposure (67.78.4 bpm), which did not significantly differ from the control treatment that remained relatively constant (81.311.2 bpm). The mean heart rates did not significantly differ between measurement periods. DISCUSSION We hypothesized that humans would exhibit a diving response similar to aquatic mammals and birds. If the proposed hypothesis is right, then we should observe a decrease in heart rate from resting heart rate during test (simulated dive) treatment exposure, and we should not observe any change in heart rate from resting heart rate during control (breathing in air) treatment exposure. This can be explained by the fact that the diving response,

If you do not have enough self control, or common sense, not to get into a vehicle when you have any type of foreign substance in your body, then you have a serious problem. Sure, you may not be waking up at eight in the morning and devouring a bottle of gin, but you are not only putting yourself in danger, but also others. Eat At My Restaurant Cash Flow Review Eat at My Restaurant Cash Flow Review Remaining profitable in the restaurant industry is a requirement conceivably not considered as difficult for common chains like Taco Bell, Panera and Starbucks. Many factors impact the sustainability of cash flow for the restaurant industry when looking at changes in market trends for a product, menu pricing, and inventory management. Consistent to each of the parent companies for these restaurants however, is the need to ensure adequate and positive cash flow to satisfy the corporation s stakeholders. An evaluation of these three parent companies to identify potential cash flow problems will consider each firm s long term profitability, offer observations on cash flows and potential risk from the potential investor s perspective. Long term Profitability Where long term profitability for an investor is the basis for the choice of where to invest, one should differentiate difference between net cash from operating activities and net income. Net cash from operating activities represents cash generated from the primary business function (Gibson, 2013), in this case food service. It is essentially a line item in the overarching net income of the company which demonstrates the company s profitability. With these two values, an investor can differentiate the effect of increasing, declining or stagnant sales from the overarching reported net income value of the organization. Currently, there are two types of HIV isolated, HIV 1 and HIV 2, which are both retroviruses and able to perform reverse transcriptase (Leboffe 2011). While HIV 1 is spread throughout the world, HIV2 is confined to West Africa and is better protective against the progression to AIDS . Genome of HIV 1 only contains nine genes. It is transmitted by body fluids such as blood, breast milk, semen, and vaginal secretions. Its mode of transmission is via contaminated blood either by, IV drug use, sexual transmission, mother to child, blood transfusion or occupational risk. It infects 34 million people in a year worldwide, with approximately 1.8 million death. In the United States, the population infected with HIV is approximately 1.2 million people and one out of five people are unaware of the infection. Introduction Proper sample preparation is an integral part of all omics approaches, and can drastically impact the results of a wide number of analyses. One of the key components of sample preparation is homogenization. The term Homogenization can be understood in various aspects and some of its most common usages can be to describe mixing and dispersing. This really opened my eyes to the actions of young people that I wasn t aware of. Seeing the way these young people were acting, dressing, and speaking made me realize, to an even greater degree, how important youth ministry is. These young people broke my heart that night as I realized how lost they must be. Many of them probably didn t grow up in loving homes. Recent Medical Discoveries In Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva Disease Abstract Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva disease also known as FOP is a rare genetic disease of the connective tissue. FOP can be characterized by malformations of the big toe. This malformation is a characteristic feature that helps distinguish the disease from other muscle and bone issues. It is a disease that is caused by a mutation in the bodies repair mechanism. This causes muscle and connective tissue such as ligaments and tendons, to be ossified spontaneously or when they are damaged. Sometimes the bone can be permanently frozen in place in some cases. FOP is usually seen in early childhood it starts with the neck and shoulder and proceeds down the body and into the limbs. People who suffer from FOP are basically imprisoned by their own skeleton. Majority of FOP cases are sporadic and are a result from a new gene mutation (Lerardi Curto and Lynne). This mutation is an autosomal dominant disorder; this means it affects those who are heterozygous with a homozygous recessive partner because of this it means their children will have a fifty percent chance of having FOP. Most cases of FOP are a result from new mutations in the gene. People who have FOP and have the heterozygous phenotype have less severe affects than those who have the homozygous dominant phenotype. Patients who have FOB have the ossification gene that is still working in their bodies and it is usually turned off after a

Covey Summary of Main Points in 7 Habits of Highly Effective People This book on 7 Habits of Highly Effective People was written in 1989, is still a great book today. Stephen R. Covey talked about great habits that we need to encrypt in our daily living to be effective at work, home and as a person. He explained how the habits is based on developing our independence. The first habit he talked about was being proactive in our lives. To be proactive we need to have self awareness of our actions. We need to take responsibility for the choices we make and take responsible for those choices. Second habit is to begin with the end in mind. Agriculture, Horticulture And Ancient Egypt Agriculture Horticulture in Ancient Egypt Introduction This paper will discuss the history of agriculture in Egypt, the forms of agriculture, horticulture farming, and climate among other factors. The paper will also discuss issues of ploughing, irrigation, harvesting, livestock farming planting and the crops grown in this area. Strategic Leadership Of Operation Husky The operational level commanders, of Operation Husky, failed to provide adequate command and control and were average in their integration of the joint Allied force. The Allied Force Commander, General Eisenhower, and the 15th Army Group Commander, General Alexander, failed to apply mission command and specifically the elements of commander s intent, mutual trust, and understanding. Furthermore, the Allied Force Headquarters, and specifically the air component commander, Air Chief Marshal Tedder, poorly integrated the air component into the joint force. Though Operation Husky is considered an important Allied victory, the poor performance of the operational level commanders resulted in the Axis forces successful evacuation of over 100,000 men and 10,000 vehicles from Sicily. This essay will evaluate command and control and specifically the three mission command attributes of commander s intent, mutual trust and understanding. It will then evaluate the operational leadership s integration of militaryforce as defined by Joint Publication 1 (JP 1) of: The arrangement of military forces and their actions to create a force that operates by engaging as a whole . It will evaluate the air and maritime component s performance in the joint functions of movement and maneuver, fires, protection and sustainment as it applies to their support of the joint force. Finally, it concludes with what the negative ramifications were of the Allied operational leadership s failure
  • 54. Patient Education For Patients And The Education Introduction Patient Education is dedicated to patients and the education we should be providing as health care professional on a day to day basis. Patient Education is one of more important jobs we do in our career as nurses. Children with chronic health problems or diseases such as on a pediatric hematology/oncology unit, require skilled, home based care by parents, supported by professionals. However, once patients are discharged, it is evident that there is a continuous need for online resources to help supplement their learning and the professional support they may have received during discharge. At this time, existing resources consist on patient/parent education at the bedside, with supplemental handouts to back up the teaching. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Dedicated to serving the specialized medical needs of children, from newborns to adolescents, diagnosed with cancers such as leukemia, brain tumors, and blood related diseases such as hemophilia, this 33 bed unit often has a full census with patients waiting to get in. They provide support for family members as well as care for the unique needs of the oncology patient during all phases of their illness, diagnosis, treatment, education, and when needed, end of life care. But often times, the care givers are given educational information while under extreme stress, still trying to process all the new information and quite often, they have not come to terms with their child s new diagnosis. Other times, the nurse may be in a hurry, or may have other challenges that factor into the lack of understanding. Some of those contributing factors could include; inadequate knowledge or training of the clinicians, inconsistencies in quality of care, changes in current practice guidelines, limited health literacy skills, conflicts with prior training implementation challenges, such as language barriers, and lastly, inadequate resources for the care givers. It was this last contributing factor that it was determined a change needed to take

Although kettlebells have around for what seems forever, they are now become very popular as part of a weight training routine. • 56. Five Dollar Bill Essay I actually really enjoyed the video. It made me think about things that I honestly never thought about. I thought it was interesting how our currency compares to other countries. Especially when Neil deGrasse Tyson brought up how although we do have a scientist on the back of our money that the back of ot has nothing to do with that scientists achievements. Firstly, I would change the five dollar bill from having Lincoln on it to Rosa Parks and on the back I would put a picture of the old buses that were used during the time when the bus boycotts happened. Although she was not the only person to refuse to move to the back of the bus, she helped kick start a major movement. I would put her on the five dollar bill, because it is a very common bill, so most people would see it very often. She was an amazing person and everyone needs to be reminded of what she did/ started on a regular basis. Next, I would change the ten dollar bill from having Hamilton on it to Eleanor Roosevelt and on the back I would put the National Women s Trade Union League emblem on the back. Eleanor Roosevelt had amazing amount of accomplishments during her time being the first lady, but her advancements for women s rights stuck out to me the most. She really changed the whole role of being a first lady and did things that a first lady has never done before. I think... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I think that everyone needs to remember all the sacrifices that have occurred and are still occurring for us to be free, and that no matter what it is, it came at a cost. I think that the 20 dollar bill is a good bill for her to be on, because she is so relatable and versatile and she can inspire anyone so, the 20 dollar bill is common, but then also worth a lot to most
