Inspiring Essays
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Inspiring Essays" is a challenge that involves navigating the
delicate balance between providing insightful content and evoking a sense of inspiration in the
reader. The difficulty lies not only in the selection of suitable examples and anecdotes but also in
the nuanced articulation of ideas to leave a lasting impact.
To begin with, delving into the realm of inspiration requires a thorough understanding of what
truly motivates and uplifts individuals. It demands extensive research to uncover compelling
stories, quotes, and experiences that can resonate with a diverse audience. Moreover, the
challenge extends to weaving these elements into a cohesive narrative that captivates the reader
from the introduction to the conclusion.
The process of writing such an essay involves a continuous exploration of the human experience,
searching for instances that transcend the ordinary and ignite a spark of motivation. This often
necessitates a deep dive into literature, history, and contemporary events to unearth hidden gems
that can serve as powerful examples.
Furthermore, the writer must grapple with the responsibility of presenting content in a manner
that is not only informative but also emotionally engaging. Crafting a connection with the
audience requires a delicate touch, combining empathy with the ability to articulate thoughts and
ideas in a way that resonates universally.
In the quest for inspiration, the challenge lies in avoiding clichГ©s and providing fresh
perspectives that genuinely captivate the reader. This demands a high level of creativity and
originality, pushing the boundaries of conventional thought to deliver a unique and memorable
essay.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Inspiring Essays" is a formidable task that demands a blend
of research, creativity, and a deep understanding of human emotions. It requires a commitment to
exploring the profound and uplifting aspects of the human experience while presenting them in a
manner that leaves a lasting impression. While challenging, the process of crafting such an essay
can be immensely rewarding, as it offers the opportunity to inspire and uplift others through the
power of words.

Suzane Collins The Hunger Games
Few defining characteristics depict a book appropriate for middle schoolers to be
taught in the classroom setting. Literature presented to young, impressible, students
must be relevant enough to enrich and intrigue without boring them. Deciding
whether children in middle school (7th and 8th grades) should be assigned to read
an explicitly violent series such as Suzanne Collin s The Hunger Games in class is
a matter that has been debated numerous times since the first book came out in
2008. The Hunger Games trilogy is a series where children are annually forced to
fight in a nationwide spectacle known as the Hunger Games. Many people believe
that middle schoolers should not be allowed to read this at all, much less made to

The often seen depictions of damsels in distress are part of an issue that is seen
even in modern literature and media. More often than not in society, men are the
ones expected to rescue the women, despite the fact that women can be just as
heroic in not only literature, but in real life. This often discourages girls from
being too independent or bold, lest they be socially shunned for being boyish. In
her article, The Katniss Conundrum: Is She Okay for Kids? Mary Pols confirms
that Everdeen is an exemplary role model for young people. She argues, There is
so much to admire about Katniss Everdeen. She s strong, smart and willing to
protect her family (mother and little sister Prim) at any cost, even her own life
(Pols). Throughout the books Katniss maintains a headstrong mindset that defines
her character, letting her overcome various obstacles. Time reporter Eliana
Dockterman emphasizes that people need to realize that the violent, albeit powerful
Hunger Games series can educate the young viewers rather than harm them. She
makes several good points that the main character, Katniss is a great role model to
kids of both genders. Dockterman also points out that women can indeed be strong
and caring at the same time such as Katniss. She doesn t need to be saved. Give her
a bow and arrow, and she can take care of herself. In fact, she tends to come to the
rescue of men, not the other way around... She has more important things to worry
about: like surviving the
Feminism, Gender, And Gender Studies
Everyone defines masculinity in a different way. Growing up masculinity was only a
term for men who brought an income to the home, otherwise known as the
breadwinners. However, this was the typical stereotype which men were obligated to
live up too. As time is passing the term masculinity is changing and instead of
defining males and females separately, it is changing into a common definition of
gender. Meaning no matter if you are female or male, gender will be known as a
definition for both and there will be no separation.
Men and masculinities also called men studies, which was a critique to the rising
men s rights movement. It is a sub study of gender studies which gave the
definition to masculinities by R.W. Connell.*** A lot of people believe feminism
is what put gender in the mainstream. Years in the past we always saw men as
leaders to led international relations but as times are changing females are getting
in power. We tend to stereotype and automatically think this image of a man is the
higher authority who is masculine and the aggressor. Women we see as like
content, shy and as a victim. As times changed we saw women stand up for their
rights and achieve that so called masculine role. Feminists as always asked for
equal gender rights but this raises the question about men getting equal rights as
well. Men deserve equal rights like women so as a society we need to move away
from the typical stereotype s of men and just focus on the whole of a gender.

Dowbt Of Future Foes
It is clear that there is a prominent struggle in the balance of power between the
monarch and the subject that is represented in the two early modern texts of the
play Edward II by the playwright Christopher Marlowe and the poem The dowbt of
future foes exiles my present joye by Queen Elizabeth. Each monarch in each text
is losing support from their once loyal followers and subjects by intertwining
public responsibility and personal desire. In this essay I will use these texts to
demonstrate the monarch s power struggles as a result of their subjects. I will also
use secondary sources of criticism to confirm the points that are made in this essay.
Firstly, I will analyse the poem The dowbt of future foes exile my present joye by
Queen Elizabeth... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also the nobles, especially Mortimer Senior and Mortimer Junior. The nobles
see Gaveston as an inappropriate preoccupation for the King which leads to his
authority and the balance of power being fragile. His preoccupation with Gaveston
has lead to the King think of nothing but Gaveston (2.2.7) and still his mind runs on
his minion (2.2.4). King Edward s struggle to balance power has lead to the
weakening of the army and therefore England is at threat to foreign invasion. In the
words of critic David Stymeist in the text the Status, Sodomy, and the Theater in
Marlowe s Edward II , Christopher Marlowe dramatizes the history of the English
King who is accused of allowing his homoeroticism to take precedence over his
political and social obligations (P 235). Many critics have claimed that this play is
a play of sodomy. However if we look at the Oxford English Dictionary, sodomy is
defined as any form of sexual intercourse considered to be unnatural. Now chiefly:
anal intercourse (OED). There is no evidence in the play that confirms that both King
Edward and Gaveston had any form of sexual intimacy. However, critic Mario
DiGangi writes in the text Marlowe, Queer Studies and Renaissance Homoeroticism
that Sodomite meant more than a man who has sex within another man . The label
also meant that this particular man was treasonous, monstrous,

My Reflection On The Hinds Community College
I chose the campus clean up as my service reflection paper topic. The Hinds honors
students did the clean up through the Hinds Community College Honors Institute.
Everyone who is attending the Hinds Community College Raymond campus and
visitors benefitted from the honors students cleaning up the campus. I would also
benefit from cleaning up the campus because I knew that I played a part in making
the Raymond campus beautiful and because it made me feel safer being on
campus. I say that I feel safer because I didn t want to step in anything nasty at all
nor would I want to smell something terrible while making my way to my classes.
We picked up trash that was riddled throughout the campus and we recycled
aluminum cans, plastic bottle, and some cardboard products. My main goal by doing
this was to keep Hinds Community Collegein Raymond a safe, clean, and beautiful....

Before doing I participated in the clean up I thought to myself, why we would
have to do a clean up on the Raymond campus since we are all adults and we should
be able to maintain the campus. I also feared that I would have to interact with
people who I haven t even met before, I am a shy guy so I could get nervous being
around new people. Special challenges I faced while accomplishing this
community service event was for one, being able to get over my nervousness of
meeting new people. Second, I didn t think we would be able to cover an entire
campus within an hour if we all worked in a big group. Because this would have
ruined the purpose of a campus
Cinderella 1950
The ability to dream is magical in itself. A girl often plays the game of, Happily
ever after, where she goes to a ball and falls madly in love with the prince. Disney
first captured this idea in the film Cinderella in 1950. One fact that seemed to bother
some viewers was that the destined couple met and fell in love at first sight. It is
perfectly plausible, but somewhat unrealistic. A new adaptation of the basic story of
Cinderellahas taken this concern and altered how they met to meeting in the woods
days before the ball. It was love of personality that had the two entranced. Cinderella
(2015) presents a young girl by the name of Ella that faces kindness from oppression,
courage, determination and with just a bit of magic is able to find... Show more

Cinderella (2015) kept an even balance of fantasy with reality. She had the happily
ever after while meeting the price before the ball and falling in love with her
personality rather than status and charm. The touch of magic in the modern
Cinderella still gives views of a young age the dazzle of the transformations.
Disney intended for the magic to help Cinderella get to the ball to meet and
eventually marry the prince. This version has realistic aspects but does not limit the
imagination and specialness of the dramatic dress transformation. Ever After had
the main character, Danielle, a strong headed woman that had a voice and shared
her opinion to her demanding mother. Although it does an exemplary job of giving
her a voice against her mother, there seemed to be a lack of magic to it overall. It
held the true aspects of a developing relationship, a true Cinderella story has more of

The Power Of The Prime Minister Has Too Much Power
Introduction One of the most powerful and influential members of the Canadian
government is the Prime Minster of Canada. It has been stated that the Prime
Minister of Canada has far more power within the Canadian system of government
than the President of America has in the American System (Caron, 2017). This
excess power the Prime Minister has when compared to the President of American
shows the difference ranges of power top leaders can have in their specific country.
However, is the amount of power the Prime Minister has in Canadatoo much? To
determine if the Prime Minister has too much power there are a few things that
need to be considered. The first is the responsibilities of the Prime Minister and the
power these responsibly give the position. Looking at how much power the Prime
Minister has in relation to the amount of responsibilities placed on that government
role will give insights into the necessities of that power. Next, reviewing the history
of powers the Prime Minister has over the years will show a timeline of a gradual
increase in power. Finally, to determine if the Prime Minister has too much power
recent events must be discussed in which the Prime Minister has abused their powers.
To fully understand how the amount of power the Prime Minister has can impact the
government, there will be a focus on one specific example of who calls elections
throughout. Overall, in examining the responsibilities and powers of the Prime
Minister in relation to the
Billy Teased The Little Kid
Hey! Stop it, get away little Danny bellowed as he was getting picked on by Billy the
big bad bully. Let me just eat my lunch in peace.
What s the matter? Are you going to go cry to your mommy for help? Billy teased
the little kid.
Billy was a troubled kid who always seemed to enjoy bringing his own frustrations
and problems out on others, mostly that were smaller than him. At home, Billy
didn t have the support from his parents as some others might have. Some seem to
think this is why he acts the way he is. Billy has always been a big kid, starting
from when he was 5 3 just at the age of 10 years old, dominating everyone on the
football field. Now, Billy is 15 and stands at 6 2, and continues dominating the game.
He has always ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Compared to him, billy looked like he atleast had a good foot on him, if not even
more. Danny got up and started to back away as billy came closer and closer,
eventually pinning him up against the wall. Once billy had danny where he wanted
him, he reached back, groped for the mash potatoes, keeping a dead eye look at him.
He then grabbed a handful, and then POP! Danny lay cold on the cafeteria floor, with
mash potatoes smear across his nose and mouth. He had been knocked out.
ВЁOOOOHHHH!ВЁ you heard from all the kids at lunch when the initial punch
happened.
The lunch aids and gym teachers came rushing to the scene
ВЁWhat happened here,ВЁ asked one of the gym teachers.
Billy punched danny in the face! screamed one of the students from across the other
side of the room with a smirk.
Come with me. the teachers and aides told billy.
They grabbed him by the arms and dragged him to the office. But man did he put up
a fight, freeing one arm and trying to run. He made halfway down the hall until one
of the gym teachers tackled him in his trail.
You re in a lot of trouble kid. said the aide.
If only billy actually knew how much.
As billy was literally being dragged by the two biggest gym teachers in the school,
he saw that he was being hawked down by all the students. The students stay in
astonishment, as there was a kid being dragged down the hallway to the principal s
office. Billy didn t care much of it. He was the biggest baddest
Questions on Mining Companies
The Government suing any mining companies involved (those that employed miners
who were trapped) to re coup the cost it spent on rescuing the miners and for their
after care.
1) Which mining company (or companies) really should or verifiably do share blame
for this tragedy? (it could have been one company s actions that caused the tragedy)
2) Do all of the mining companies involved share an equal stake or level of
involvement in the mining operations (suing all companies equally when they do not
have an equal level of involvement is not fair)
3) What mining company did the trapped workers work for? (need to know how
many people worked for each mining company В¦.the distribution is probably not
equal В¦and that would matter)
4) Was the disaster due to human neglect or some sort of freak accident or natural
event? (If the disaster was caused by a lightning induced blast, for example, then the
mining company could not have reasonably prevented the entrapment).
5) Does the government take this action in other related events or do they pick and
choose (if they are not treating other situations the same, that would undermine their
motives) 6) Who would measure the costs involved and what would/would not be
included? (Need to know if they re including pain and suffering measures or if it s
true costs realized)
7) Did the government allocate its resources fairly and evenly or did they waste a
lot of money (if money is due, it should be based on good, and not wasteful, spending.
Female Sexuality, Gender, And The Body
Women s body which is personal in nature is, no more personal, it s always binding
by the culture. Female sexuality in a Brahmanical Patriarchy is much more
complicated. Caste hierarchy and gender hierarchy are the organizing principles of
the brahmanical (Chakravarti 1993). Most often women are denied of their rights
over her own body. Here culture plays a prominent role in binding the women s
rights over the body and the power of her body is vested in the hands of the men.
Women s body is continually made to fit and mould to societal expectations with a
sever denial rights, her bodily integrity constantly violated. Bodily integrity includes
the process of expanding the real freedoms that women enjoy, and the freedom to
express one s sexuality and sexual orientation or genderidentity is a development
issue as important as any other. Sexuality, gender and the body is a complex
interplay of dominant forces, are root of women s oppression in contemporary
society through objectification of the a female form in everyday life .Thapan (2006)

Pride In Cantos 7-12
In Cantos 7 12, there were many times when the vice of pride was mentioned. For
Aquinas, he does not list pride as a capital sin because he believes it is the general
influence to all vices or the queen of all vices. Pride can also be described as the
beginning of all sins : aversion from God, which is the formal complement of sin,
belongs to pride essentially, and to other sins, consequently. Hence it is that pride
fulfils the conditions of a first thing, and is the beginning of all sins (q. 162, a. 7).
Pride can be seen as a root cause of other vices, which is why it is not listed in the
capital vices; it can be linked to all the vices. In Canto 12, the Pilgrim was telling
Virgil how he feels lighter than at the beginning and Virgil
The Unattainable Standards of the Fashion World
Most people think of the fashion industry as a materialistic world of extravagant,
overpriced, un wearable clothing. Where anorexic, and yet extremely beautiful
women use their looks to sell you a product that they themselves probably don t
even like. They think of an industry that sets the most unattainable standards and
lowers the self esteem of young women to zero. They think of it as a world where
everyone is judged and no one will ever be pleased...and in the end none of it even
matters because they re all just clothes, but I do not.
You may be asking yourself, Why is fashionimportant? . Clothes are not just
clothes. They aren t just what you wear. Clothes are personal and intimate. The
clothes you wear send a public message to others about the way you see yourself
(regardless of whether or not you want them to). It s really all about branding. From
the minute you take the hanger off the rack, you are creating an image. Clothes can
even transform you, that shirt you just threw on this morning can give you an
enormous boost of confidence. How powerful is it that a piece of fabric can make
you look and feel differently.
iThere are many in the industry that truly possess great personal style and have
major influence in the fashion world. From the red carpets to street style, these
ladies can do no wrong. One major movie starlet, Jennifer Lawrence, has become
quite the fashionista. What she ll wear next, there s no way to tell, but it ll most
definitely be Dior. J
What Are The Characteristics Of Western Civilization
Characteristics of Western Civilization can be found in many different ancient
civilizations. Ancient Greece has had the most influence on western civilization.
Aspects of western civilization such as philosophy, Western values, and science were
all influenced by ancient Greek. The roots of western civilization can be traced back
to four thousand years ago, in ancient Greece.
Philosophy opened a whole different way of thinking. Socrates the father of western
philosophy; started a chain reaction when he taught Plato, who taught Aristotle, who
would later tutor Alexander the Great. Socrates believed that a life that was
unexplored and questioned was not worth living. Unlike many philosophers who

Westerns values their traditions. In the United States, sports is a huge. This can be
said for all of Western Civilization. Every four years they come together and the
Olympics, a sporting event happens. This event unifies the five inhabited continents
in the world. Ancient Olympics originated in Greece. The Olympics also unified
Greece s city States. Like now the Olympic Games were a form of entertainment that
came from their values and beliefs. Ancient Olympics started to honor of the God
Zeus. The athletes that won were praised; their victory not only brought honor to
themselves but to their cities as well. This is similar to what it is like when
someone wins a medal in the modern Olympics. It is obvious that sports was an
important aspect of Greek culture. It was everywhere, in their art works it was there
culture. One of the most famous sculpture is The Discus Thrower by Myron. Myron
became famous for his representations of athletes through art. The arts and sports can
be seen as very different things, however, the Greeks learned their values from them.
The sports taught them to value their bodies and strength. They also learned values
from the Dramas (plays), tragedies and comedies. The tragedies consisted of tragic
events happening to the main character and comedy was a form of slapstick.
Antigone a tragedy by Sophocles showed values including power, family, and
willingness. In the
Father Son Relationships In Night By Elie Wiesel
Night: The Importance of Father Son Relationships In the book Night by Elie
Wiesel, the father and son relationships are extremely important. The Jews headed
to concentration camps were separated by gender. Therefore, as they endured their
difficult journey in hopes of surviving, the only close family relationships they had
were between fathers and sons. These relationships could be harmful or helpful,
depending on their situation. In one situation, Wiesel mentions seeing a thirteen
year old boy beating his father for not making his bed correctly. He even threatened
to cut off his father s food supply if he didn t stop crying (Wiesel 70). This father
and son relationship was harmful to the father because he was beaten, almost had his

Wiesel s father wants to give up. I can t go on. . . . This is the end. . . . I m going
to die here. . . . (qtd. In Wiesel 110). When Wiesel s father said that, Wiesel was
desperate to save him, yelling Father! Get up from here! Immediately! You re
killing yourself. . . . (Wiesel 110). Wiesel thought I felt that I was not arguing with
him, but with death itself, with the death he had already chosen. Then there was
an alert, and Wiesel left his father in the cold and snow, and went to sleep in the
blocks. The next morning, Wiesel went to look for him. But a thought came into
his head: Don t let me find him! If only I could get rid of this dead weight, so that I
could use all of my strength to struggle for my own survival, and only worry about
myself. He was immediately ashamed, and would be forever (Wiesel 111). Then
Wiesel found his father. In this case, their father son relationship is both helpful and
harmful. It was helpful because if it weren t for Wiesel, Wiesel s father Chlomo
would have died. It was harmful to Wiesel though, because Wiesel was ashamed of
himself forever for not wanting to find his
Meursault And Camus
When writing, that Meursault represents the only Christ we deserve Camus is
critiquing human nature and man s ability to impose suffering on one another other.
Throughout the novel, we are exposed to Meursault s robotic, emotionless, hollow
personality which is exemplified when he famously declares Mother died today. Or,
maybe, yesterday; I can t be sure. (Camus) These are the very first words of the novel
and the initial introduction we are given about Meursault s complex character. The
very first line of the novel is a window into how Meursault reacts to the event s in his
life, such as Marie s marriage proposal and most importantly the death of the
infamous Arab. While Camus himself did not identify as a Christian but an instinctive
Heart Of Darkness And Robinson Crusoe Essay
This paper attempts to offer a Marxist reading of Conrad s Heart of Darkness and
Defoe s Robinson Crusoe. Specifically , this paper highlights how the concept of
commodification helps us to understand the struggles and the dialectic between the
bourgeoisie and the proletariat which are both considered the products of their
socioeconomic and material circumstance with an emergent capitalist culture.
Hence capitalist culture promotes the accumulation of capital and the sale of
commodities where the individual is defined by his relationship to business and
market and encouraged to commodify things or humans. In Robinson Crusoe (1719)
the protagonist Robinson leads himself into believing that he masters nature through

beings and everything around them normally or as it is presented in Robinson
Crusoe spontaneously through a capitalist culture which encourages the individuals
to exploit any surrounding for achieving the profit by which these are smoothly
implemented by the acceptance of the ideology of the dominants which is called
interpellation . It s obvious that both protagonists Mr. Kurtz and Robinson in the two
novellas share the same characteristics of being capitalist and economic men by
focusing on these similarities , both are males; that Marxists believe that the
economical world belongs to males , both are colonizers and capitalists who
travelled for financial reasons , both are traders ; they commodify everything to
accumulate capital , both have changed the values of objects and transformed them
into commodities to gain wealth .And finally both are English ,they believe in
expansion of colonizations to exploit the unknown part of the world by carrying their
Englishness to the colonies to achieve their immense ecconomical plans. I believe
that a Marxist reading is the most efficient to interpret the two novellas by elaborating
how commodification , capitalism and interpellation offer a direct and an emergent
interpretation of Robinson , Kurtz and Marlow s actions and behaviours in the two

The Cost leadership strategy aims for the business to have a low price product
being the lowest cost producer. The differentiation strategy involves the
development of high quality unique product or services which is usually priced
high. Focus is the third generic strategy based on competitive scope. A focus
strategy targets narrow segment of domain of activity and tailors its products or
services to the news of that specific segment to the exclusion of others. (Exploring
Corporate Strategy, 2012). An example of a company that currently follows the
cost leadership strategy is Ryanair. Ryanair Ltd is an Irish low cost airline based in
Dublin Airport with operational bases at Dublin and London Stansted Airports. The
airline has been characterised by rapid expansion, a result of the deregulation of the
aviation industry in Europe in 1997 and the success of its low cost business model.
Although initially this strategy was used to gain competitive advantage over
competitors, their success has seen the emergence of approximately 60 new low cost
airlines. As Porters generic strategy model states that a company has to choose one of
these strategies and try not to combine both strategies it meant that other companies
could try to emulate their success by employing the same strategy and an example of
companies that have done this is EasyJet and Aer Lingus. However later on in Porters
career he understood that are some circumstances

This pyramid, in all practicality, acted as a tomb for the great Egyptian king Khafre.
Though slowly deteriorating, the Khafre Pyramid was originally finished with a
sheath of polished limestone. This limestone finish gave the pyramid a sense of
elegance and beauty. Sadly today, only a small portion of the finish is intact at the
pinnacle of the pyramid; the rest has fallen victim to time. The measurements of this
pyramid is 140 meters high with a 216 meter square base. Its angle is about 52
degrees. This mountain of masonry contained passageways and chambers filled with
Egyptian treasures honoring the dead king. Incidentally, there is a religious aspect to
the Great Pyramid. In Egyptian religion, death brought on immortality to the king;
Egyptian pharaohs were revered as gods. According to Stokstad,
the immense monuments reflect not only the desire of a
[king] to attain immortality but also the strength of the
Egyptians belief that a deceased ruler continued to affect the well being of the state
and his people from beyond the grave.
It was believed by Egyptians that gods slept in the Great Pyramids. Once sealed,
there was no way into the pyramids; therefore, a perfect resting place for these gods.
As for the labor force and time it took to build the monument, the Greek historian,
Herodotus, believed the pyramid was build by 100,000 men [for about] twenty years.

to keep his power he must avoid the hatred of his people. Lastly most of our traits
that we learn come from human nature and we should use these traits to the best of
our ability. Machiavelli wrote a manual on how to rule and govern during the
Italian Renaissance. The Italian Renaissance has taken place several years ago, in
today s contemporary society the world is different now. Machiavelli believed it
was better to feared than love. Machiavelli never supported cruelty and violence
although, he did believe that sometimes being cruel and violent would be good for
the republic. His social advice is very useful in today s society. Machiavelli
believed that you should stay true yourself and always keep in mind that
everybody isn t always going to do the right thing. Machiavelli states that how one

do have some people who follow laws and do the right thing and on the other hand
you have others who break
Essay about Ethics and Relativism
Considering the fact that Relativism forsakes the search for an ethical theory
(Mosser, 2010, p. 50), and states more accurately that we should recognize that
there are no universal or general ethical standards, that one s ethical view is
relative to one s culture, society, tradition, religion, worldview, or even one s own
individual values (Mosser, 2010, p. 50), and In light of the fact that Relativists see
things in accordance to culture, genders, religion, and so on; they appear to allow
that we can simply agree to disagree (Mosser, 2010, p. 51). The moral concepts of
beauty and virginity might be difficult moral questions to accept by the relativists as
well as problematic in giving justification to. When it comes to... Show more content

The Benefits Of Football In Youth And High School Football
If my son is interested in football I wouldn t stop him and here s why. Football as a
sport benefits the economy, Teaches Youth discipline, And career opportunities.
Youth and High school football Isn t as dangerous as college football. It teaches
Children important life lessons, college career choices, and lucrative financial
opportunities. With this information in mind, The reasons why I would allow my
son to play football is because If he is passionate about something and Enjoys it,
then I would direct him towards that path while also prepare him to be responsible
for himself, It would hold his interest and make them understand to always give
their best effort if they desperately want something, And it would build his
character and make him mentally and physically prepared for the rest of life. I
would allow my son to play football because It is beneficial to my son s health, his
ability to stay mentally sharp and focused, as well as help keep the economy in
good health.. One reason why I would let my son play football is because it would
encourage him to pursue his dreams. Writer Felicity Luckey, was quoted to say,
Goals are attained not by strength, but by Perseverance from her book, Great Minds

goals are persistent. They pursued happiness and their dreams using their mind and

Meningitis In College Essay
She thought it was just the flu. We all did. But she didn t seem to be getting any

didn t have the flu. It was something much worse. Something more dangerous,
something more contagious, something life threatening, something scary, said my
friend Ashley. I was on the phone with her talking about her roommate at
Elizabethtown College. It turns out that her roommate, Jocelyn has been diagnosed
with Meningitis.

is in session. One third of all Bacterial Meningitis outbreaks between 1991 and 1996
occurred in schools or universities.
Symptoms of meningitis are similar to those of the flu and are therefore easy to
overlook. People with meningitis complain of symptoms such as headaches, fevers,
stiff necks, extreme fatigue, nausea, vomiting and extreme sensitivity to light. Some
people develop a rash. Meningitis, if left untreated can spread quickly. It can spread
throughout your entire body, and eventually lead to death within mere days, hours, of
getting infected. It is important to seek treatment as soon as you think you might
have Meningitis.
3,000 Americans contract Bacterial Meningitis each year. Out of those 3,000, about
10 %, or 300 people, die from the infection. Approximately 125 of these cases occur
on college campuses across the country. Out of these campus outbreaks, there is an
annual average of 10 student deaths.

Butanol And Ethanoic Acid
The reflux reaction (equation) is a chemical reaction that occurs in equilibrium. The
forward reaction, that is the production of ester, will be favoured until the limiting
reagent has been exhausted. In our experiment, butanol is the limiting reagent,
therefore, once this reactant has been exhausted the reaction will then proceed in the
opposite direction, favouring the production of the reactants. This reverse reaction is
an example of a hydrolysis reaction. In this instance, the reverse hydrolysis reaction
will only proceed correctly in the presence of water while in acidic conditions. The
forward, condensation and reverse, hydrolysis reactions will continue until an
equilibrium is established. In this equilibrium, the condensation and the... Show more

Thus, according to the theory that molecules of like form will dissolve each other,
only polar solutes will interact and be soluble in water. This occurs since non polar
molecules are unable to overcome the strong level of attraction between two polar
molecules, forming intermolecular interactions with surrounding non polar molecules
rather than the water molecules. Similarly, polar solutes will not dissolve in non
polar solutions as the molecules will be more attracted to themselves, forming
stronger secondary interactions with surrounding polar molecules than the adjacent
non polar molecules. The ethanoic acid and butanol reactants, sulfuric acid catalyst
and the water molecules remaining from the reflux stage are all examples of such
water soluble polar molecules which comprise the aqueous layer. These molecules
display similar non covalent forces to water due to their complementary polarities
(Moore et.al, 2008). Therefore, the addition of water will cause these polar
molecules to form hydrogen bonds with the water molecules, dissolving the polar
molecules (Figure 3). The electronegativity difference between the partially positive
hydrogen atom and a lone electron pair on a molecule such as oxygen causes the polar
molecules to electrostatically bond to the water molecules (Moore et.al, 2008). The
butyl ethanoate and water are immiscible as it has a relatively large non polar
component (hydrocarbon chain). Consequently, the lower polarity of the ester means
that the butyl ethanoate will not be attracted and will not be soluble in the water. This
polar attraction allows for separation from the organic layer that contains the ester.
This initial water wash only partially removes the ethanoic acid, sulfuric acid and
water contaminants present in the aqueous layer. This is due to water droplets
containing inorganic molecules adhering to
Descriptive Essay On A Car
I woke up hearing the infuriating and pulsating ring of my alarm. I checked the
calendar, another Sunday, just like any other hunting day. I assembled my
weapons into my old black duffle bag; a silenced handgun, a military grade pocket
knife and my SR 25 sniper rifle. Wearing a pair of ripped jeans as faded as erased
blue pencil markings and a grey hoodie that hugged every crevice of my muscular
torso, I headed out to my old black pickup truck. Throwing the duffle bag into the
passenger seat with force, I quickly hopped into the driver s seat. While starting the
engine, it made the all too familiar sounds; kch, kch, kch kch kch kch kvooom, I
thought to myself I should really get this car checked out... Whatever, this is my
piece of garbage hunting car anyways. After starting the car, I raced down the street
with the speed of a diving peregrine falcon, leaving a gust of sand and dust behind
me, Today is going to be a good day. I feel it. While driving around, I suddenly
spotted a stranger. She was a tall and voluptuous woman, with golden hair that
seemed to flow like water in the gentle summer breeze and leggings as tight as a
painted on coating. Her sweater was a deep cherry red and her smile illuminated all
of her surroundings. With an innocent wave, she gestured that she was a hitchhiker. I
smiled back at her with my dimples raised, eyes twinkling, and nodded for her to hop
in. Yes, she is the one. I thought.
Hey, how are you? She asked.

Vaccine Vs Live Vaccine Essay
When people hear the word vaccine, the word shot comes to mind. A vaccine is
much more than just a shot, a vaccine helps defend your body from getting sick.
When a vaccine is given, the vaccine contains an active or inactive virus that
matches the type of disease that is trying to be prevented. Vaccines contain a small
dose of the virus in order to simulate the production of antibodies and white blood
cells in your body. The antibodies and white blood cells will then begin to fight off
the virus, so in the future, if the disease does enter your body, the antibodies and
white blood cells will recognize the disease and will know how to fight it off ( How
Vaccines Work 2004).
Types of vaccines used include live, subunit, inactivated, toxoid, and DNA. A...

Live vaccines can be very simple to create for certain types of viruses, however it is
more difficult to create for bacteria viruses. Although, live vaccines must stay
refrigerated which makes it hard to deliver the vaccines to 3rd world countries.
Subunit vaccines only use the antigens that will the body will recognize instead of
using the entire microbe. Scientists are able to grow an entire microbe and then
choose the antigens they need by breaking the microbe apart. Another type of vaccine
is inactivated vaccines, which the virus is killed through treatments like heat and
chemicals. Although, these types of vaccines require more doses or booster shots
than a live vaccine to acquire a similar immune response as a live vaccine. This
type of vaccine is able to travel to other countries due to the fact that it does not
require refrigeration. If there is a bacterial disease that involves toxins, then a toxoid
vaccine would be used. The toxins can be treated by a solution

Chrysanthemums Sexism
In his short story, Chrysanthemums , John Steinbeck characterizes Elisa as strong,
passionate, and slightly submissive. This story taking place in the era of the Great
Depression shows the role of women in this Californian farming society, and also the
sentiments of women and how sexism influenced their everyday life. Steinbeck uses
those three adjectives to show just how the women of the 30 s were treated and
looked at by men and society.
In the story Chrysanthemums , Steinbeck introduces Elisa, the wife of a farmer in the
Salinas Valley in California, as a womanwho is about her work and is very
dedicated to her garden of chrysanthemums. Women even today, although to a lower

Illegal Immigration Law

supposed to face corrective measures designed by the respective countries they
reside. One of the research that was carried by and published in local dailies
revealed that contrary to popular belief, immigrants are less likely to commit crime
than the natives. Also, experts assert that the available evidence does not support the
claim that undocumented immigrant s disproportionate share of the crimes. When

Just like it is our expectation when we go the hospital when we are sick, we expect
to come out with a feeling of relief and better than when we went into the facility. It is
also in the same breath that the criminal justice system needs not to be dissimilar in
applying the help to them than exposing them to deportation.
Currently, there is a grand senate plan that will form the core of any successful
reform effort. The program considers a second chance too many non citizens who are
convicted of criminal activities. Moreover, immigration departments together with
the judges would be powerless to make exceptions for the aliens if they were to be

the U.S. people. Many of them are lawful permanent residents, but the crime may

deportation of the immigrant with criminal records is an easy political tool to

Predictive trees are an excellent choice for data that have features which interact in
a complicated way as the models sub divide (or partition), the data space into
smaller regions, making the interactions more manageable. This partitioning
continues until model can no longer make a better model than the one previously
made for each subset of the data. One extension of the basic tree methodology is
the survival tree, which applies recursive partitioning to censored survival data. The
literature presents several types tree models for censored data. These trees are a
more flexible non parametric option to survival methods such Cox s proportional
hazards methods and AFT models with more stringent assumptions. The main
difference in the various predictive trees is the splitting criteria. In an article by
Segal, M.R. states that, he replaced the traditional splitting criteria for regression
trees for right censored data with criterion based on variations of the two sample
statistics, in which contrary to common practice at the time; for which within node
separation was maximised, his algorithm preferred splits that result in large between
node separation~cite{segal1988regression}. The default criterion in the R package
Rpart , which is maximized in each split, is the Gini coefficient. The Gini coefficient
is a measure of variation in a set of data.

Separation Of Government Power
The founding founders, of the United States of America, had the foresight to
understand that a government s power should not be absolute and unchecked. With
this in mind, they wrote the Constitution to account for this. They divided the
government into three branches with a different function for each branch. The
provisions of this are written in the first three Articles of the Constitution. These
Articles established a separation of power by dividing powers between the
following three branches: the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch and the
Judicial Branch. The goal of dividing powers is to ensure that each branch of
government is not more powerful than the other. It also ensures that each branch is
accountable to the other branch (The White, n.d.). This is done through checks and
balances where a branch can allow or deny the action of another branch. The
legislative Branch is covered under Article I. The Executive Branch is covered by
Article II. Article III covers the Legislative Powers.

Merrimack Tractor Case Summary
1. What is the appropriate cow size for the herd using the 50% weaning rule?
According to the information provided, the most appropriate cow size for the herd
using the 50% weaning rule would be 1,100 pounds. Although any cow size would
ultimately result in a loss for the farm at this point, the cows at 1,100 pounds have a
smaller financial burden than heavier cows. The 50% rule is not very specific, as the
case only specifies [calfweight] ...close to 50% of [the mother s] mature weight , so
it can be assumed that the 55.5% (585 pounds) is sufficient, which yields a
marginal revenue of $28.08. To a much lesser extent, around 1,200 pounds could
also be less burdensome for the farm than 1,300 or 1,400 pounds, but 1,200 is on the
brink of barely breaking even at a marginal revenue of $6.48. Once the weight

What are the drivers in a cow calf operation? Is the revenue expense calculation
(see Exhibit 2) clear regarding drivers? Why or why not? While there are several
drivers in a cow calf operation, the accountant in the case specifies the driver for
expenses as the number of cows due to the information provided about the cattle
calf industry, I believe he is incorrect in this particular case. Because many
variables are dependent upon the weight of a cow and not simply the number of
cows, it would be much more useful and relevant if it were shifted from per cow
calculations to per pound. The revenue expense calculation in Exhibit 2 of our case
may be seen as a bit unclear, because its calculations are per animal, despite the
revenue and expense being highly dependent upon the weight. Although the cow
focus could be very useful, it could also be confusing because of the variation of
weights and, consequently, their sale prices. I would personally prefer the
identification of fixed costs and variable costs in the calculation s construction as
well, but calculations based on weight would be
Cyber Crime In The Criminal Justice System
Cyber Crime in Criminal Justice
James Franklin
Florida International
Abstract
The Internet is the connection of computer networks that link billions of devices
worldwide. Every day the Internet is getting bigger and bigger bringing the world
even closer. Unfortunately, with the growth of the Internet, this has created more
problems for the Cyber World. While the justice system is attempting to handle this
issue, it is becoming too consistent and numerous individuals have gotten to be
casualties of hacking, embezzlement, wholesale fraud and malevolent programming.
Cyber Crime in Criminal Justice
Since the 1970 s computer crime has been an occurring dilemma in criminal justice
and criminology. Computer crime could either be the stealing of computers or the
use of computers to commit crime. When a crime is committed over the Internet, it
is referred to as cyber crime. Since the emergence of the Internet, cyber crime has
emerged as a serious threat to the U, S, resulting in significant financial deficits.
Cyber crime is any crime that involves a computer and a network. The computer may
have been used in the commission of a crime, or it may be a target. The Internet has
turned into the hotspot for various sorts of wrongdoing and distinctive approaches to
perform these violations. The most common cyber crimes are hacking, illegal or
prohibited online content, cyber stalking, identity theft, attacks on computers, child
Use Of Hydrogen As An Energy Carrier Today
Two motivators for the use of hydrogen as an energy carrier today are to provide a
transition strategy from hydrocarbon fuels to a carbonless society and to enable
renewable energy sources. The development of a high efficiency, low emissions
Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (HICE) will lead to establishing a path for
renewable hydrogen based fuel utilization. There is a major controversy between
whether to use the HICE or the Gas Engine, as well as why to use each over the
other. There are many pros of the HICE as well as the many cons. Some of these
pros are the extremely low emissions, it s almost an infinite resource and the fact
that all you would need to put in the fuel tank is water. Though some of the cons
are, there are very few cars with these engines making them hard to work on, trying
to design the technology to run as well as a gasoline engine if not better. Though
these are major ideas to be considered the gasoline engine also has many good
points and as well many bad. Some of these good points include being easier to
work on being the fact that there are many around. Another would include that in
order for the HICE to have more power than the Gas Engine it must have fuel

People Who Made Difference And Movie Industry
People who made difference to movie industry
Walt Disney
Most of us know Walt Disney as the creator of Mickey mouse and the Disney Land,
but his impact on entertainment industry goes way beyond cartoons and theme parks,
Disney changed our world all together.
Walt Disney, a Chicago boy who took Hollywood by storm, changed family
entertainment. Not only was he the first to make full length animated films, but he
did so with critical acclaim and financial success. Few other films that are thirty to
forty years old can still play nationwide in movie theatres or sell hundreds of
thousands of video copies. The work of Walt Disneycontinues sixty years later with
Beauty and the Beast, which was nominated for an Oscar award last year, and ...

Research Paper On Shared Intention
Gilbert s account of shared intention
In Gilbert s (2009) paper, Shared Intention and Personal Intentions, she had given a
clear statement about shared intention that it is an action acted by agents together as
a body in the future plans. The first step to share intention is to have an agreement
between agents. They usually shared their intention literally and expressed by a
shared intention sentences of form We intend to do A , We are going to do A , and
so on. They may also use the sentences of form like We intend that... to show their
shared intention on thought. In some cases, a future directed shared intention can be
arose without any agreement between agents. For example, Liam and Gary plan to
go to supermarket together. Liam said Let s go to supermarket together this
afternoon. Gary replied Sure. Our fridge is out of food. In this ... Show more content

Under this criterion , the concurrence of all agents is required to change or rescind
the shared intention, or to release an agent from participating in the action, without
special understanding backgrounds (Gilbert, 2009). We can use Liam and Gary
case to illustrate this criterion more. If Gary suddenly do not want to go to
supermarket, instead, he want to go to bank on their way to supermarket, Gary could
not leave unless Liam agree with it. This is because Gary had an agreement with
Liam that they would go to supermarket together this afternoon. If Gary quit the
action, he would betray their agreement and broke their shared intention. On the
other hand, however, if Gary gives an understanding background to Liam in the first
place, that is Gary told Liam that he may go to bank this afternoon when they are
achieving the agreement, Gary can feel free to go without agreed by Liam. Certainly,
one can also make their own decision not to do according to the shared intention, but
it doesn t mean that they had changed or rescind or quit from the shared intention

Taking a Look at Resource Utilization
The Earth is a closed system with finite resources which can be utilized; However
polarized views of the limit in the functional availability of non renewable resources
exist between the Cornucopians and Neo Malthusians. Regardless of the disparity
between the views of the Cornucopians and Neo Malthusians, both ideologies are
valid in their rationalization and their arguments are augmented with strong
supporting arguments drawn from historical facts. Despite arguments being drawn
from a shared history the Cornucopians and Neo Malthusians have developed
conflicting views that share no commonalities. In essence the Cornucopians may be
described as optimist or idealists whereas the Neo Malthusians would be considered
pessimists or realists.
The Cornucopians believe that human ingenuity and technological advancements will
solve global resource issues. The combination of the discovery of new reserves,
technological evolutions providing substitutes for presently declining resources, and
improved efficiencies in resource extraction, manufacturing and other processes will
continually provide solutions to emergent issues. Furthermore, as it is believed that
technology will continue to evolve and provide solutions to satisfy the needs of the
human species, the environment therefore imposes no real limits to growth.
Cornucopians such as Sir John Maddox argue that resource depletion is an unfounded
issue as classic economic philosophies of supply and demand would result in an
Short Essay On Pablo Picasso

The artist immediately adopted the Minotaur as an alter ego, portraying it in more
than sixty works in the following decades. Fifteen prints from the Vollard Suite, one
hundred etchings completed by Picasso in 1937 for art dealer Amboise Vollard,
show the Minotaur as a symbol of energy, passion, and violent subconscious desires.
Additional selections explore the connection between the aggressive beast and the
bloody tradition of Spanish bullfighting, while others present Picasso as a

The Privatization Of Foster Care
Foster Care Privatization1
Privatization of Foster Care in Florida; Help or Hindrance
As of September, 2011 in the United States over 400,540 children were in the foster
care system. The Minnesota Department of Human Services, 2011) defines foster
care as, ?A 24 hour substitute care for children placed away from their parents or
guardians and for whom the State agency has placement and care responsibility.? Of
the 400,540 children in foster care nationwide, 195,400 were Floridians. With the
fifty social service programs nationwide, Florida is one of a very few states in the
nation with statewide privatization of social services, for this study, with an
emphasis on privatization of foster care. In the present paper, the privatization of
foster care plays a significant role in the care and placement of Florida?s abused,
neglected, and abandoned children. The major thrust of privatization of foster care
was implemented under the administration of Governor Jeb Bush, a staunch political
conservative. The purpose of privatization was to provide better foster care services
to stake holders, primarily to find permanent homes for foster children. The Bush
administration was always trying to adhere to the conservative mantra of fiscal
reduction as it pertained to social services
It is hypothesized that with privatization of foster care there will be a negative
change in placement than with public administration of the agencies. The following
literature reviews will provide

Five Star Hotels: Five star hotels are often in need of strong consultants who require
who guide the hotel in the right direction. This would be necessary in the case of
expansion, human resources and even sustainability even though they typically have
secure structure and financing. Five star hotels make up a significant portion of our
target market.
Five Star Resorts: Typically seasonal in nature, Resorts tend to go into a lull
towards the end of a season. These resorts approach consultants during these times
so as to make the most of a slack season where profits and occupancy decline.
Although a smaller market segment compared to five star hotels, five star resorts still
require the services of a consultant even if they are experienced companies. Michelin
Star Restaurants: Michelin Star restaurants are some of the highest rated and most
expensive restaurants in the world. Needless to say, that even some of the best
restaurants need consulting. The challenge of whetting the appetite of a gourmand
would mean adapting to the ever changing trends in food and service preferences.
These restaurants occupy a niche portion of our target market, as they are few in
number.
Elite Nightclubs: It is common knowledge that nightclubs have a rather short life
span. The same goes for the elite nightclubs. This is due to the constantly changing
trends in nightlife. Every year there is a new genre of dance music and new
competition that are already up to date with

  • 2. Suzane Collins The Hunger Games Few defining characteristics depict a book appropriate for middle schoolers to be taught in the classroom setting. Literature presented to young, impressible, students must be relevant enough to enrich and intrigue without boring them. Deciding whether children in middle school (7th and 8th grades) should be assigned to read an explicitly violent series such as Suzanne Collin s The Hunger Games in class is a matter that has been debated numerous times since the first book came out in 2008. The Hunger Games trilogy is a series where children are annually forced to fight in a nationwide spectacle known as the Hunger Games. Many people believe that middle schoolers should not be allowed to read this at all, much less made to read it in the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The often seen depictions of damsels in distress are part of an issue that is seen even in modern literature and media. More often than not in society, men are the ones expected to rescue the women, despite the fact that women can be just as heroic in not only literature, but in real life. This often discourages girls from being too independent or bold, lest they be socially shunned for being boyish. In her article, The Katniss Conundrum: Is She Okay for Kids? Mary Pols confirms that Everdeen is an exemplary role model for young people. She argues, There is so much to admire about Katniss Everdeen. She s strong, smart and willing to protect her family (mother and little sister Prim) at any cost, even her own life (Pols). Throughout the books Katniss maintains a headstrong mindset that defines her character, letting her overcome various obstacles. Time reporter Eliana Dockterman emphasizes that people need to realize that the violent, albeit powerful Hunger Games series can educate the young viewers rather than harm them. She makes several good points that the main character, Katniss is a great role model to kids of both genders. Dockterman also points out that women can indeed be strong and caring at the same time such as Katniss. She doesn t need to be saved. Give her a bow and arrow, and she can take care of herself. In fact, she tends to come to the rescue of men, not the other way around... She has more important things to worry about: like surviving the
  • 3. Feminism, Gender, And Gender Studies Everyone defines masculinity in a different way. Growing up masculinity was only a term for men who brought an income to the home, otherwise known as the breadwinners. However, this was the typical stereotype which men were obligated to live up too. As time is passing the term masculinity is changing and instead of defining males and females separately, it is changing into a common definition of gender. Meaning no matter if you are female or male, gender will be known as a definition for both and there will be no separation. Men and masculinities also called men studies, which was a critique to the rising men s rights movement. It is a sub study of gender studies which gave the definition to masculinities by R.W. Connell.*** A lot of people believe feminism is what put gender in the mainstream. Years in the past we always saw men as leaders to led international relations but as times are changing females are getting in power. We tend to stereotype and automatically think this image of a man is the higher authority who is masculine and the aggressor. Women we see as like content, shy and as a victim. As times changed we saw women stand up for their rights and achieve that so called masculine role. Feminists as always asked for equal gender rights but this raises the question about men getting equal rights as well. Men deserve equal rights like women so as a society we need to move away from the typical stereotype s of men and just focus on the whole of a gender. Authors
  • 4. Dowbt Of Future Foes It is clear that there is a prominent struggle in the balance of power between the monarch and the subject that is represented in the two early modern texts of the play Edward II by the playwright Christopher Marlowe and the poem The dowbt of future foes exiles my present joye by Queen Elizabeth. Each monarch in each text is losing support from their once loyal followers and subjects by intertwining public responsibility and personal desire. In this essay I will use these texts to demonstrate the monarch s power struggles as a result of their subjects. I will also use secondary sources of criticism to confirm the points that are made in this essay. Firstly, I will analyse the poem The dowbt of future foes exile my present joye by Queen Elizabeth... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is also the nobles, especially Mortimer Senior and Mortimer Junior. The nobles see Gaveston as an inappropriate preoccupation for the King which leads to his authority and the balance of power being fragile. His preoccupation with Gaveston has lead to the King think of nothing but Gaveston (2.2.7) and still his mind runs on his minion (2.2.4). King Edward s struggle to balance power has lead to the weakening of the army and therefore England is at threat to foreign invasion. In the words of critic David Stymeist in the text the Status, Sodomy, and the Theater in Marlowe s Edward II , Christopher Marlowe dramatizes the history of the English King who is accused of allowing his homoeroticism to take precedence over his political and social obligations (P 235). Many critics have claimed that this play is a play of sodomy. However if we look at the Oxford English Dictionary, sodomy is defined as any form of sexual intercourse considered to be unnatural. Now chiefly: anal intercourse (OED). There is no evidence in the play that confirms that both King Edward and Gaveston had any form of sexual intimacy. However, critic Mario DiGangi writes in the text Marlowe, Queer Studies and Renaissance Homoeroticism that Sodomite meant more than a man who has sex within another man . The label also meant that this particular man was treasonous, monstrous,

  • 6. My Reflection On The Hinds Community College I chose the campus clean up as my service reflection paper topic. The Hinds honors students did the clean up through the Hinds Community College Honors Institute. Everyone who is attending the Hinds Community College Raymond campus and visitors benefitted from the honors students cleaning up the campus. I would also benefit from cleaning up the campus because I knew that I played a part in making the Raymond campus beautiful and because it made me feel safer being on campus. I say that I feel safer because I didn t want to step in anything nasty at all nor would I want to smell something terrible while making my way to my classes. We picked up trash that was riddled throughout the campus and we recycled aluminum cans, plastic bottle, and some cardboard products. My main goal by doing this was to keep Hinds Community Collegein Raymond a safe, clean, and beautiful.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Before doing I participated in the clean up I thought to myself, why we would have to do a clean up on the Raymond campus since we are all adults and we should be able to maintain the campus. I also feared that I would have to interact with people who I haven t even met before, I am a shy guy so I could get nervous being around new people. Special challenges I faced while accomplishing this community service event was for one, being able to get over my nervousness of meeting new people. Second, I didn t think we would be able to cover an entire campus within an hour if we all worked in a big group. Because this would have ruined the purpose of a campus
  • 7. Cinderella 1950 The ability to dream is magical in itself. A girl often plays the game of, Happily ever after, where she goes to a ball and falls madly in love with the prince. Disney first captured this idea in the film Cinderella in 1950. One fact that seemed to bother some viewers was that the destined couple met and fell in love at first sight. It is perfectly plausible, but somewhat unrealistic. A new adaptation of the basic story of Cinderellahas taken this concern and altered how they met to meeting in the woods days before the ball. It was love of personality that had the two entranced. Cinderella (2015) presents a young girl by the name of Ella that faces kindness from oppression, courage, determination and with just a bit of magic is able to find... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cinderella (2015) kept an even balance of fantasy with reality. She had the happily ever after while meeting the price before the ball and falling in love with her personality rather than status and charm. The touch of magic in the modern Cinderella still gives views of a young age the dazzle of the transformations. Disney intended for the magic to help Cinderella get to the ball to meet and eventually marry the prince. This version has realistic aspects but does not limit the imagination and specialness of the dramatic dress transformation. Ever After had the main character, Danielle, a strong headed woman that had a voice and shared her opinion to her demanding mother. Although it does an exemplary job of giving her a voice against her mother, there seemed to be a lack of magic to it overall. It held the true aspects of a developing relationship, a true Cinderella story has more of a magical
  • 8. The Power Of The Prime Minister Has Too Much Power Introduction One of the most powerful and influential members of the Canadian government is the Prime Minster of Canada. It has been stated that the Prime Minister of Canada has far more power within the Canadian system of government than the President of America has in the American System (Caron, 2017). This excess power the Prime Minister has when compared to the President of American shows the difference ranges of power top leaders can have in their specific country. However, is the amount of power the Prime Minister has in Canadatoo much? To determine if the Prime Minister has too much power there are a few things that need to be considered. The first is the responsibilities of the Prime Minister and the power these responsibly give the position. Looking at how much power the Prime Minister has in relation to the amount of responsibilities placed on that government role will give insights into the necessities of that power. Next, reviewing the history of powers the Prime Minister has over the years will show a timeline of a gradual increase in power. Finally, to determine if the Prime Minister has too much power recent events must be discussed in which the Prime Minister has abused their powers. To fully understand how the amount of power the Prime Minister has can impact the government, there will be a focus on one specific example of who calls elections throughout. Overall, in examining the responsibilities and powers of the Prime Minister in relation to the

Are you going to go cry to your mommy for help? Billy teased the little kid. Billy was a troubled kid who always seemed to enjoy bringing his own frustrations and problems out on others, mostly that were smaller than him. At home, Billy didn t have the support from his parents as some others might have. Some seem to think this is why he acts the way he is. Danny lay cold on the cafeteria floor, with mash potatoes smear across his nose and mouth. He had been knocked out. ВЁOOOOHHHH!ВЁ you heard from all the kids at lunch when the initial punch happened. Questions on Mining Companies The Government suing any mining companies involved (those that employed miners who were trapped) to re coup the cost it spent on rescuing the miners and for their after care. 1) Which mining company (or companies) really should or verifiably do share blame for this tragedy? (it could have been one company s actions that caused the tragedy) 2) Do all of the mining companies involved share an equal stake or level of involvement in the mining operations (suing all companies equally when they do not have an equal level of involvement is not fair) 3) What mining company did the trapped workers work for? (need to know how many people worked for each mining company В¦.the distribution is probably not equal В¦and that would matter) 4) Was the disaster due to human neglect or some sort of freak accident or natural event? (If the disaster was caused by a lightning induced blast, for example, then the mining company could not have reasonably prevented the entrapment). 5) Does the government take this action in other related events or do they pick and choose (if they are not treating other situations the same, that would undermine their motives) 6) Who would measure the costs involved and what would/would not be included? (Need to know if they re including pain and suffering measures or if it s true costs realized) 7) Did the government allocate its resources fairly and evenly or did they waste a lot of money (if money is due, it should be based on good, and not wasteful, spending.

Female sexuality in a Brahmanical Patriarchy is much more complicated. Caste hierarchy and gender hierarchy are the organizing principles of the brahmanical (Chakravarti 1993). Most often women are denied of their rights over her own body. For Aquinas, he does not list pride as a capital sin because he believes it is the general influence to all vices or the queen of all vices. Pride can also be described as the beginning of all sins : aversion from God, which is the formal complement of sin, belongs to pride essentially, and to other sins, consequently. Hence it is that pride fulfils the conditions of a first thing, and is the beginning of all sins (q. 162, a. 7). Pride can be seen as a root cause of other vices, which is why it is not listed in the capital vices; it can be linked to all the vices. In Canto 12, the Pilgrim was telling Virgil how he feels lighter than at the beginning and Virgil
  • 13. The Unattainable Standards of the Fashion World Most people think of the fashion industry as a materialistic world of extravagant, overpriced, un wearable clothing. Where anorexic, and yet extremely beautiful women use their looks to sell you a product that they themselves probably don t even like. They think of an industry that sets the most unattainable standards and lowers the self esteem of young women to zero. They think of it as a world where everyone is judged and no one will ever be pleased...and in the end none of it even matters because they re all just clothes, but I do not. You may be asking yourself, Why is fashionimportant? . Clothes are not just clothes. They aren t just what you wear. Clothes are personal and intimate. The clothes you wear send a public message to others about the way you see yourself (regardless of whether or not you want them to). It s really all about branding. From the minute you take the hanger off the rack, you are creating an image. Clothes can even transform you, that shirt you just threw on this morning can give you an enormous boost of confidence. How powerful is it that a piece of fabric can make you look and feel differently. iThere are many in the industry that truly possess great personal style and have major influence in the fashion world. From the red carpets to street style, these ladies can do no wrong. One major movie starlet, Jennifer Lawrence, has become quite the fashionista. What she ll wear next, there s no way to tell, but it ll most definitely be Dior. J

Ancient Greece has had the most influence on western civilization. Aspects of western civilization such as philosophy, Western values, and science were all influenced by ancient Greek. The roots of western civilization can be traced back to four thousand years ago, in ancient Greece. Philosophy opened a whole different way of thinking. Socrates the father of western philosophy; started a chain reaction when he taught Plato, who taught Aristotle, who would later tutor Alexander the Great. Every four years they come together and the Olympics, a sporting event happens. This event unifies the five inhabited continents in the world. Ancient Olympics originated in Greece. The Olympics also unified Greece s city States. Like now the Olympic Games were a form of entertainment that came from their values and beliefs. Ancient Olympics started to honor of the God Zeus. The athletes that won were praised; their victory not only brought honor to themselves but to their cities as well. This is similar to what it is like when someone wins a medal in the modern Olympics. It is obvious that sports was an important aspect of Greek culture. It was everywhere, in their art works it was there culture. One of the most famous sculpture is The Discus Thrower by Myron. Myron became famous for his representations of athletes through art. The arts and sports can be seen as very different things, however, the Greeks learned their values from them. The sports taught them to value their bodies and strength. They also learned values from the Dramas (plays), tragedies and comedies. The tragedies consisted of tragic events happening to the main character and comedy was a form of slapstick. Antigone a tragedy by Sophocles showed values including power, family, and willingness. In the

These relationships could be harmful or helpful, depending on their situation. In one situation, Wiesel mentions seeing a thirteen year old boy beating his father for not making his bed correctly. Immediately! You re killing yourself. . . . (Wiesel 110). Wiesel thought I felt that I was not arguing with him, but with death itself, with the death he had already chosen. Then there was an alert, and Wiesel left his father in the cold and snow, and went to sleep in the blocks. The next morning, Wiesel went to look for him. If only I could get rid of this dead weight, so that I could use all of my strength to struggle for my own survival, and only worry about myself. He was immediately ashamed, and would be forever (Wiesel 111). Then Wiesel found his father. In this case, their father son relationship is both helpful and harmful. Hence capitalist culture promotes the accumulation of capital and the sale of commodities where the individual is defined by his relationship to business and market and encouraged to commodify things or humans. It s obvious that both protagonists Mr. Kurtz and Robinson in the two novellas share the same characteristics of being capitalist and economic men by focusing on these similarities , both are males; that Marxists believe that the economical world belongs to males , both are colonizers and capitalists who travelled for financial reasons , both are traders ; they commodify everything to accumulate capital , both have changed the values of objects and transformed them into commodities to gain wealth .And finally both are English ,they believe in expansion of colonizations to exploit the unknown part of the world by carrying their Englishness to the colonies to achieve their immense ecconomical plans. I believe that a Marxist reading is the most efficient to interpret the two novellas by elaborating how commodification , capitalism and interpellation offer a direct and an emergent interpretation of Robinson , Kurtz and Marlow s actions and behaviours in the two

(Exploring Corporate Strategy, 2012). An example of a company that currently follows the cost leadership strategy is Ryanair. Ryanair Ltd is an Irish low cost airline based in Dublin Airport with operational bases at Dublin and London Stansted Airports. The airline has been characterised by rapid expansion, a result of the deregulation of the aviation industry in Europe in 1997 and the success of its low cost business model. Although initially this strategy was used to gain competitive advantage over competitors, their success has seen the emergence of approximately 60 new low cost airlines. His first piece of advice was teaching us how having knowledge in the military is an important quality that a prince can achieve. Second a person should be a true friend and a true enemy. Thirdly Machiavelli says do not be generous with your money, you ll just have to tax harder and you ll lose the support of your citizens. Fourthly in order for a prince to keep his power he must avoid the hatred of his people. Lastly most of our traits that we learn come from human nature and we should use these traits to the best of our ability. Machiavelli wrote a manual on how to rule and govern during the Italian Renaissance. The Italian Renaissance has taken place several years ago, in today s contemporary society the world is different now. Machiavelli believed it was better to feared than love. Machiavelli never supported cruelty and violence although, he did believe that sometimes being cruel and violent would be good for the republic. His social advice is very useful in today s society. Machiavelli believed that you should stay true yourself and always keep in mind that everybody isn t always going to do the right thing. This occurs since non polar molecules are unable to overcome the strong level of attraction between two polar molecules, forming intermolecular interactions with surrounding non polar molecules rather than the water molecules. Similarly, polar solutes will not dissolve in non polar solutions as the molecules will be more attracted to themselves, forming stronger secondary interactions with surrounding polar molecules than the adjacent non polar molecules. The ethanoic acid and butanol reactants, sulfuric acid catalyst and the water molecules remaining from the reflux stage are all examples of such water soluble polar molecules which comprise the aqueous layer. These molecules display similar non covalent forces to water due to their complementary polarities (Moore et.al, 2008). Therefore, the addition of water will cause these polar molecules to form hydrogen bonds with the water molecules, dissolving the polar molecules (Figure 3). The electronegativity difference between the partially positive hydrogen atom and a lone electron pair on a molecule such as oxygen causes the polar molecules to electrostatically bond to the water molecules (Moore et.al, 2008). The butyl ethanoate and water are immiscible as it has a relatively large non polar component (hydrocarbon chain). Consequently, the lower polarity of the ester means that the butyl ethanoate will not be attracted and will not be soluble in the water. This polar attraction allows for separation from the organic layer that contains the ester. This initial water wash only partially removes the ethanoic acid, sulfuric acid and water contaminants present in the aqueous layer. This is due to water droplets containing inorganic molecules adhering to

Predictive trees are an excellent choice for data that have features which interact in a complicated way as the models sub divide (or partition), the data space into smaller regions, making the interactions more manageable. This partitioning continues until model can no longer make a better model than the one previously made for each subset of the data. One extension of the basic tree methodology is the survival tree, which applies recursive partitioning to censored survival data. The literature presents several types tree models for censored data. These trees are a more flexible non parametric option to survival methods such Cox s proportional hazards methods and AFT models with more stringent assumptions. The main difference in the various predictive trees is the splitting criteria. In an article by Segal, M.R. states that, he replaced the traditional splitting criteria for regression trees for right censored data with criterion based on variations of the two sample statistics, in which contrary to common practice at the time; for which within node separation was maximised, his algorithm preferred splits that result in large between node separation~cite{segal1988regression}. Courage is show when Hans lets Max hide in to their house so he can get better. I am satisfied with the ending with the book thief but it was quite hard to follow. It was hard to follow because at the end Liesel died (of old age) then death /narrator walks down the street with her and shows her The Book Thief, which Death has kept all these years. Death said that he has read Liesel s book many times. Liesel asks if Death could understand it; Death does not respond. Death wants to ask her how the human race can be so ugly and so glorious, but does not. Instead Death tells her the only truth it truly knows : I am haunted by
  • 36. Separation Of Government Power The founding founders, of the United States of America, had the foresight to understand that a government s power should not be absolute and unchecked. With this in mind, they wrote the Constitution to account for this. They divided the government into three branches with a different function for each branch. The provisions of this are written in the first three Articles of the Constitution. These Articles established a separation of power by dividing powers between the following three branches: the Executive Branch, the Legislative Branch and the Judicial Branch. The goal of dividing powers is to ensure that each branch of government is not more powerful than the other. It also ensures that each branch is accountable to the other branch (The White, n.d.). This is done through checks and balances where a branch can allow or deny the action of another branch. The legislative Branch is covered under Article I. The Executive Branch is covered by Article II. Article III covers the Legislative Powers. The Legislative Branch is established by Article I. Its function is to enact legislation. This means that this branch creates and processes laws. It is made up of a House of Representatives and a Senate, and together they are known as Congress. Here are some highlights of what ... • 38. Merrimack Tractor Case Summary 1. What is the appropriate cow size for the herd using the 50% weaning rule? According to the information provided, the most appropriate cow size for the herd using the 50% weaning rule would be 1,100 pounds. Although any cow size would ultimately result in a loss for the farm at this point, the cows at 1,100 pounds have a smaller financial burden than heavier cows. The 50% rule is not very specific, as the case only specifies [calfweight] ...close to 50% of [the mother s] mature weight , so it can be assumed that the 55.5% (585 pounds) is sufficient, which yields a marginal revenue of $28.08. To a much lesser extent, around 1,200 pounds could also be less burdensome for the farm than 1,300 or 1,400 pounds, but 1,200 is on the brink of barely breaking even at a marginal revenue of $6.48. Once the weight exceeds the 1,200 increment, the marginal revenue dips... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... What are the drivers in a cow calf operation? Is the revenue expense calculation (see Exhibit 2) clear regarding drivers? Why or why not? While there are several drivers in a cow calf operation, the accountant in the case specifies the driver for expenses as the number of cows due to the information provided about the cattle calf industry, I believe he is incorrect in this particular case. Because many variables are dependent upon the weight of a cow and not simply the number of cows, it would be much more useful and relevant if it were shifted from per cow calculations to per pound. The revenue expense calculation in Exhibit 2 of our case may be seen as a bit unclear, because its calculations are per animal, despite the revenue and expense being highly dependent upon the weight. Although the cow focus could be very useful, it could also be confusing because of the variation of weights and, consequently, their sale prices. I would personally prefer the identification of fixed costs and variable costs in the calculation s construction as well, but calculations based on weight would be

Use Of Hydrogen As An Energy Carrier Today Two motivators for the use of hydrogen as an energy carrier today are to provide a transition strategy from hydrocarbon fuels to a carbonless society and to enable renewable energy sources. The development of a high efficiency, low emissions Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (HICE) will lead to establishing a path for renewable hydrogen based fuel utilization. There is a major controversy between whether to use the HICE or the Gas Engine, as well as why to use each over the other. There are many pros of the HICE as well as the many cons. Some of these pros are the extremely low emissions, it s almost an infinite resource and the fact that all you would need to put in the fuel tank is water. Though some of the cons are, there are very few cars with these engines making them hard to work on, trying to design the technology to run as well as a gasoline engine if not better. Though these are major ideas to be considered the gasoline engine also has many good points and as well many bad. Some of these good points include being easier to work on being the fact that there are many around. Another would include that in order for the HICE to have more power than the Gas Engine it must have fuel injection thus making the gas better on this subject. Some cons of the gas engine include emissions of greenhouse and poisonous gasses. Overall so far these engines are neck in neck for which is the better engine. In general, getting an internal combustion engine to run

Research Paper On Shared Intention Gilbert s account of shared intention In Gilbert s (2009) paper, Shared Intention and Personal Intentions, she had given a clear statement about shared intention that it is an action acted by agents together as a body in the future plans. The first step to share intention is to have an agreement between agents. They usually shared their intention literally and expressed by a shared intention sentences of form We intend to do A , We are going to do A , and so on. They may also use the sentences of form like We intend that... to show their shared intention on thought. Under this criterion , the concurrence of all agents is required to change or rescind the shared intention, or to release an agent from participating in the action, without special understanding backgrounds (Gilbert, 2009). We can use Liam and Gary case to illustrate this criterion more. If Gary suddenly do not want to go to supermarket, instead, he want to go to bank on their way to supermarket, Gary could not leave unless Liam agree with it. This is because Gary had an agreement with Liam that they would go to supermarket together this afternoon. If Gary quit the action, he would betray their agreement and broke their shared intention. On the other hand, however, if Gary gives an understanding background to Liam in the first place, that is Gary told Liam that he may go to bank this afternoon when they are achieving the agreement, Gary can feel free to go without agreed by Liam. Certainly, one can also make their own decision not to do according to the shared intention, but it doesn t mean that they had changed or rescind or quit from the shared intention (Gilbert,

Regardless of the disparity between the views of the Cornucopians and Neo Malthusians, both ideologies are valid in their rationalization and their arguments are augmented with strong supporting arguments drawn from historical facts. Despite arguments being drawn from a shared history the Cornucopians and Neo Malthusians have developed conflicting views that share no commonalities. In essence the Cornucopians may be described as optimist or idealists whereas the Neo Malthusians would be considered pessimists or realists. The Cornucopians believe that human ingenuity and technological advancements will solve global resource issues. The combination of the discovery of new reserves, technological evolutions providing substitutes for presently declining resources, and improved efficiencies in resource extraction, manufacturing and other processes will continually provide solutions to emergent issues. Furthermore, as it is believed that technology will continue to evolve and provide solutions to satisfy the needs of the human species, the environment therefore imposes no real limits to growth. Cornucopians such as Sir John Maddox argue that resource depletion is an unfounded issue as classic economic philosophies of supply and demand would result in an

In the present paper, the privatization of foster care plays a significant role in the care and placement of Florida?s abused, neglected, and abandoned children. The major thrust of privatization of foster care was implemented under the administration of Governor Jeb Bush, a staunch political conservative. The purpose of privatization was to provide better foster care services to stake holders, primarily to find permanent homes for foster children. The Bush administration was always trying to adhere to the conservative mantra of fiscal reduction as it pertained to social services It is hypothesized that with privatization of foster care there will be a negative change in placement than with public administration of the agencies.
