This lesson plan is for a second grade English class. The goal is for students to practice writing and speaking about personal information of a fictional character. The teacher will show a picture of their best friend and provide examples of personal details to share. Students will then write and present to the class about a made-up character of their own, including the character's name, age, home, and favorite activities. They will draw a picture of their character and include the written description.
