screen, Jon Ronson wrote an article called, How One Stupid Tweet Blew Up Justine Sacco s
Life. It is a report consisting of five different stories about people who were publicly humiliated
because of their distasteful social media posts. Instead of focusing on the mistakes of the tweeters,
Ronson discusses the fairness of their punishment. In order to catch and keep the attention of his
young audience, Ronson uses rhetorical devices that will make readers feel emotions like shock
and sympathy. Ronson begins the article with the story of Justine Sacco. He opens with an
enumeration, a rhetorical device that makes a point with a lot of detail. As she made the long
journey from New York to South Africa, to visit family during the holidays in 2013, Justine Sacco,
30 years old, and the senior director of corporate communication at IAC, began tweeting acerbic
little jokes about the indignities of travel (How One Stupid... 1). This gives the audience all of the
information about Justine Sacco that they need, and also makes them want to continue reading to
find out what the tweets said. He follows this opening with quotations of Justine s actual tweets.
Ronson knew that if he wanted to change the way people used social media he had to get the

The Mysterious Stonehenge The Stonehenge, built thousands of years ago, is a mystery to us all.
How did it get there? Who built it and why? Was it aliens that brought this here? Everyone has
questions and theories regarding this amazing structure. Through rigorous research and countless
unearthing s, of forgotten stones and even human remains, people have always been insanely
curious as to how these stones were placed, why, and by who. The mystery of the Stonehenge is just
that, a mystery. With an abundant amount of history behind these stones, it is something to be
discussed for ages. So how did these stones appear? With no modern technology such as cranes
and other machinery to lift the immensely heavy stones, it s no wonder scientists are still
stumped to this day. It is believed to have been once used as a burial ground and also a place for
worship. Some archeologists believe that Stonehenge the mysterious arrangement of enormous
elongated stones in England is actually a crude effort by the Druids to build a computing device.

Where Things Come Back is an odd tale about the way loss can affect people. A young man by
the name of Cullen Witter begins his senior year of highschool in the small static town of Lilly
Arkansas. The town becomes infatuated with the supposed return of the long lost Lazarus
Woodpecker. Cullen s summer before his senior year of high school, he first experiences loss in the
form of death. His cousin Oslo passed away due to drug abuse. His second loss is that of his
brother, Gabriel Witter, who suddenly goes missing and disappears. Gabriel, Cullen, and Cabot
Searcy s lives are all eventually tied together because of a missionary named Benton Sage. Cullen
Witter also experiences the feelingof loss in the form of love and second chances. This story shows
