- Use definition of global competence to produce a graduate profile.
- The GPS establishes a continues learning cycle within schools that produces college ready and globally competent graduates. The GPS enables teachers to collaboratively review students ’ work in relation to the assessment criteria, and to collectively learn from analyzing the data how to refine and improve their instructional practices. In turn, teachers use formative and summative assessment and discussion of students ’ progress to enable students to refine and improve their performance. The GPS provides a reliable and valid system for assessing the quality of student work in relation to commonly held criteria for success for teachers and school leaders within each ISSN school and across the multi-state network. As such, the GPS supports opportunities for network wide organizational learning in support of improved practice.
