information on the Queensland Government online presence
 Leverage joint expertise to enhance information exchange
opportunities including formal and informal networking
 Define a clear pathway for industry to raise issues and seek
feedback (including procurement issues)
 Use digital technology to enhance existing formal networking
events and opportunities and expand audience reach to include
regional Queensland

 Continue to encourage consistent application of procurement
guidelines across government departments
 Provide skills and capability training for industry on government
procurement practices and tender processes

 Provide transparent information on outcomes

7. SMEs
Actions
 Work jointly to promote greater take-up of the SME Participation
Scheme
 Develop targeted opportunities for SMEs to connect with
government and each other
 Increase awareness within government of SME capabilities by
showcasing capability and innovative solutions
 Develop and deliver training for SMEs in how to succeed at doing
business with government

 Jointly develop and deliver problem definition opportunities
 Improve and promote early engagement process
 Continue to develop use of tools such as the Innovation Hub and
Innovation Portal
