Packed bed reactors play vital role in chemical industries for obtaining valuable product, like steam reforming of natural gas, ammonia synthesis, sulphuric acid production, methanol synthesis, methanol oxidation, butadiene production, styrene production. It is not only used for production but also used in separation process like adsorption, distillation and stripping section. Packed bed reactors are work horse of the chemical and petroleum industries. Its low cost, and simplicity makes it first choice to any chemical processes. In our experimental work vacuum residue is used as a feed which is pyrolyzed in the primary chamber with the help of plasma into hydrogen and hydrocarbon gases which is feed stream to the Ni catalyst containing packed bed reactor called catalytic cracker. Ni loading in the catalyst about 70 % is used to crack or decompose lower molecular hydrocarbon in to hydrogen to maximize the energy content per mass flow of gas steam and also to minimize the carbon dioxide equivalent gases at outlet of the reactor. Since cracking is surface phenomena so the catalyst play important role in designing of reactor shape. Parallel Catalytic packed bed with regeneration and deactivation can be used for commercial production of clean fuel.

Teesside Collective has been developing a financial support mechanism to kickstart an Industrial Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) network in the UK. This project would transform the Teesside economy, which could act as a pilot area in the UK as part of the Government’s Industrial Strategy.
The final report– produced by Pöyry Management Consulting in partnership with Teesside Collective – outlines how near-term investment in CCS can be a cost-effective, attractive proposition for both Government and energy-intensive industry.
The report was published on Teesside Collective’s website on 7 February. You will be able to view copies of the report in advance of the webinar.
We were delighted to welcome Sarah Tennison from Tees Valley Combined Authority back onto the webinar programme. Sarah was joined by Phil Hare and Stuart Murray from Pöyry Management Consulting, to take us through the detail of the model and business case for Industrial CCS.
This webinar offered a rare opportunity to speak directly with these project developers and understand more about their proposed financial support mechanism.
An incentive mechanism for Industrial CCS? Exploring the findings of the Tees...Global CCS Institute
Last month, a cluster of leading industries based in the North EastEngland, known as The Teesside Collective, announced its collaboration on Europe’s first carbon capture and storage (CCS) equipped industrial zone.
This Webinar provided an opportunity to dig deeper into the important findings of the Societe Generale report, produced on behalf of the Teesside Collective among its suite of reports intended as a ‘Blueprint for Industrial CCS in the UK’.
To expertly guide us through this process, we were delighted to welcome Allan Baker, Global Head of Power Advisory & Project Finance at Societe Generale and Mark Lewis, Low Carbon Manager, Tees Valley Unlimited, to join us for this Webinar. Allan presented on the key findings of the report and both Allan and Mark were available for an interactive Q&A session in the second half of the webinar.
This Webinar explored some of the report findings such as:
- the specific issues for incentivising Industrial CCS
- the multiple mechanisms that could be applied or adapted for use at the Teesside Collective project, and
- recommendations on a number of options for further development.
Webinar: The business case for CCS in the power industry: a case study of the...Global CCS Institute
Developing the CCS power industry sustainably requires projects to deliver a suitable return on investment, in order to accommodate the risks inherent in the technology. But, the cost of CCS facilities is not yet covered by electricity sales revenue at current wholesale power prices anywhere in the world, nor is it covered by the ability to earn income from avoiding or reducing CO2 emissions. Building a business case for CCS power is therefore a major challenge.
The Global CCS Institute webinar that was held on Monday 22nd July was presented by 2Co Energy, sharing the real-life CCS business case for its CCS project in the UK, the Don Valley Power Project (DVPP). By sharing this information, 2Co Energy, which is known for its belief in the contribution CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) can make to enhancing the economics of CCS, will present practical information that can be of use to other CCS practitioners as they develop their own business cases for CCS around the world.
The webinar covered the following topics:
A brief overview of 2Co and its CCS project in the UK, DVPP
A brief summary of existing business case studies made by other Members of the Institute, highlighting what was considered most important by them
The market and regulatory context for CCS faced by DVPP and other projects in the UK
The financing challenge that 2Co faces and the resulting financing strategy
The resulting business plan, including revenue and cost profiles, sensitivities and prospects for future cost reduction
Key risks to the project and mitigation plans.

Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. In my system we have to make a system by which a user can record all events coordinated by a particular faculty. In our proposed system some more featured are added which differs it from the existing system such as security.

This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
