Original Argumentative Essay Topics
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Original Argumentative Essay Topics" is no small feat. The
challenge lies not only in the need for creativity and critical thinking but also in navigating the
vast landscape of ideas to find topics that are truly original. The process demands a delicate
balance between novelty and relevance, as the chosen topics should not only capture the reader's
interest but also provoke thoughtful discourse.
Firstly, the difficulty arises from the very essence of the task – originality. In a world
saturated with information, finding a unique angle or perspective can be akin to searching for a
needle in a haystack. It requires a deep dive into various fields, a keen awareness of current
events, and an ability to spot connections that others may overlook. The fear of inadvertently
regurgitating common arguments looms large, pushing the writer to explore unconventional
avenues of thought.
Furthermore, crafting an argumentative essay demands more than just novelty; it necessitates a
rigorous examination of one's own ideas. The writer must not only present a compelling case but
also anticipate counterarguments, fostering a thorough understanding of the subject matter. This
intellectual rigor, combined with the pressure to present fresh insights, adds layers of complexity
to the writing process.
Additionally, the challenge extends to striking the right balance between uniqueness and
feasibility. While an essay may delve into the realm of the unexplored, it should also be
grounded in reality, avoiding topics that veer into the impractical or esoteric. The writer must
navigate this fine line to ensure that the essay remains engaging and relevant to a wider audience.
In conclusion, writing an essay on original argumentative topics is a formidable task that
demands creativity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the chosen subject matter. It is
a journey through uncharted territories, requiring the writer to navigate the complexities of
originality while maintaining a connection to reality.
For those seeking assistance in navigating this challenging terrain, it's worth noting that similar
essays and a plethora of writing services are available on platforms like HelpWriting.net. These
resources can provide valuable support and guidance in crafting compelling and original
argumentative essays on a wide range of topics.

Urbanization In Canada

May, 25, 2016 Urbanization The city life often referred to as an experience like no
other. The big change an individual makes when moving from a rural area to the
city affects all aspect of a person life. This movement is called urbanization; is a
population shift from rural to urban areas, the gradual increase in the proportion of
people living in urban areas , and the ways in which each society adapts to the
change. Urbanization is predominantly the process by which towns and cities form
and become larger. It usually occurs when a country is still developing or the better
services available in the city. The rate of urbanization in Canada is 1.12% ... Show

What is urbanization? Urbanization is the increase of population in an urban area. It is
as much as a social process as it is an economic and territorial process. There are a
few major cause of urbanization which include the industrial revolution,
immigration, push and pull factor. Industrialization is the increase and development
of a society or country that transforms its self s itself from a primarily agricultural
society into one based on the industrialized of goods and services. The increasing
number of factories created has a powerful need for labor, compelling people in rural
areas to move to the city, and drawing immigrants from around the world to come to
Canada for employment. As a result, Canada has transformed from a rural to an urban
nation, and the demographics of the country shifted dramatically. Subsequent
industrial development the process of urban¬ization is accelerating at much more
rapidly rate. Urbanization brings about social and cultural changes in community life,
which also correspond to modernization. The loss of community life and traditional
large sized joint families on one hand and growing individualism, and smaller sizes
of house¬holds and development of independent personalities in a diverse
community on the other, are the commonly observed characteristics of urban as well
as modern way of

For example, Harley could have a strategy to only utilize
suppliers with an ISO 9000 rating to produce Harley products. The current suppliers
may be replaced with overseas or domestic suppliers as well. If Harley wants to
ensure total control and quality for its customers it could also choose in house
production. Since
Harley relies on brand recognition, the buyers of Harley Davidson motorcycles have
great influence over production decisions. The threat of substitute products for Harley
motorcycles is average because of the brand recognition that Harley enjoys. If riders
are not looking for the Harley Davidson image and want a cheaper motorcycle, they
may look at other brands. Rivalry in the industry is high with low priced competitors
such as
Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki. However, Harley Davidson is an American icon with a
strong image of quality and freedom on the open road over the years.
MarketingStrategy
One of the largest marketing strategies for Harley Davidson was the creation of
HOG (Harley Owners Group). This allows owners to share experiences and network
through rides, rallies, and other events. Another successful marketing strategy
Harley created in 2000 is Rider s Edge which provides lessons for basic and advanced
motorcycling skills. About 35% of the students in Rider s Edge are young adults and
37%o enrolled are women ( 2009 Harley Davidson Annual Report ). This
Essay On Evaluative Conditioning
This current study examined if the pairing of the DE100 IPTV logo with a positive
image of happy graduates the experimental condition would result in more
participants liking the DE100 IPTV Logo than those in the control condition . This
association being a principle of evaluative conditioning where someone likes
something because it has become linked in their minds with something positive. After
collecting the data, a chi square test showed the results were not statistically
significant, meaning that there were no significant differences seen between the
experimental and control conditions in how many participants reported liking the
logo. Thus, it was noted that the effect sizewas small and therefore the hypothesis
made, that more... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, although these findings were not consistent with earlier work into the
theory of evaluative conditioning such as that shown by Chen et al. (2012) cited in
Brace (2014, p.160) and Hollands et al. (2011) cited in The Open University (2014),
many factors might be present into why this study did not
accurately support this work. For example, choosing participants from amongst
family and friends might make them feel pressurised, to give answers that they
believed were wanted. Thus, giving false results when the data is analysed. This is a
limitation as participants should be unconnected to the researchers running the
experiment. Yet the number of participants selected not being too many or too
small struck the right balance between size and effectiveness, this being a strength.
Additionally, only having a Yes or No answer, might limit the kind of data
collected, and is another limitation. However, if participants also wrote a short
explanation of why they either disliked or liked the Logo, then more precise data
may have been obtained. Also, it can be argued, the subject matter used may not
have been a positive enough reinforcement image to show participants, for them to
reinforce a positive pairing with the DE100 IPTV logo. Since it could be proposed
that participants may have some form of bias towards liking celebrities over other
reinforcing images, as celebrities are constantly seen on screen and in publications.
Furthermore, when showing happy smiling
Math And Numeracy Research Paper
Mathematics and Numeracy go hand in hand. However just because you are good
with maths does not imply your numeracy is good too, as numeracy is the capacity,
confidence and disposition to use mathematics to meet the demands of learning,
school, home, work, community and civic life (ACARA, 2009, p.5).
Mathematics is the foundation on which everything is built, however it is not about
knowing only timetables, formulating, calculating, and being able to provide one
right answer to every question, unfortunately this was how maths was taught and
enforced with rote and repetition. Rote and repetition did not promote
interconnectedness nor did it promote numerate individuals, therefore many could see
no relevance to maths in their day to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Maths learning today is designed for interaction, providing active and open
discussion, it makes connections to nature and to the world around us. Via this type
of learning, problem solvers evolve, those who can use mathematics in a variety of
ways to determine the best course of action and outcome. Thus providing the
foundation for strong numeracy skills to develop while enhancing curiosity,
reasoning and creating numerate individuals who know when to use mathematics,
choosing the mathematics to use and critically evaluating its use (NSW Department
of Education and Communities, 2011). Children and young people need to develop
their numeracy skills through learning to read, write and discuss aspects of numeracy
within a range of different real life contexts (Teach in
Scotland, 2016). By developing numeracy skills and using them reflectively in life,
mathematics enriches every students life, and gives rise for mathematicians to
develop, that may have previously been lost in the
The Spanish Inquisition Essay
The Spanish Inquisition In the year 1469 there was a union between the Spanish
kingdoms, Aragon and Castile. This union would ignite the darkest moment of
Spanish history, the Spanish Inquisition. Ferdinand of Aragon married Isabella I of
Castile, in hopes of obtaining the Castilian crown. Isabella s high spirited and
politically astute personality enabled her to retain sovereign authority in her own
realm, they became known as the Spanish Kings. At the time, Spainwas a nation state
created out of religious struggle between numerous religions. Both being of Catholic
descent Ferdinand and Isabella decided to unite... Show more content on

It is true that in the year 1478, Pope Sixtus IV had given permission to the Spanish
rulers to purify the people of Spain. However, on April 18th 1482, he proposed a
new Papal Bull, and accused the Inquisition in Aragon Catalonia to be one that was
not focused on heresy and salvation of souls, but rather on greed seeking profit. He
noted that true and faithful Christians were being imprisoned, tortured and
condemned as heretics on false testimonies made by enemies, rivals, envious
people etc. An example is in the year 1635 Pedro Ginesta, a man over 80 years of
age of French origin was brought before the tribunal of Barcelona by a comrade for
having supposedly eaten a meal of bacon and onions on a day of abstinence. Of all the
popes that existed during the time of the Inquisition, only Pope Innocent III (who
succeeded Pope Sixtus IV) supported the Spanish Inquisition, all the others attempted
to put an end to the vicious inquisition, with each of them noting how inhumane it
was.
The reliability of the witnesses and the evidence is heavily questioned, not during

been recorded by many scholars at the time that the witnesses were often servants of

Sutton Hoo Myths
Sutton Hoo is, essentially, a very large graveyard near the North Sea and river
Deben. The two graves there date back to the 6th and 7th centuries, both
containing a large number of historical artifacts. One of the graves was a ship
burial, and most of the wealth and artifacts found from it are currently in The
British Museum. It is highly guessed that the ship was the grave of Rædwald, ruler
of the East Angles. This site is very important to historians because it helps to shed
light on an area of English history that is unclear whether it s myth, or fact. Some of
the artifacts they found in the burial chamber were: a suite of metalwork dress
fittings in gold and gems, a ceremonial helmet, shield and sword, a lyre, and silver
plate. The second
I Began To Talk Like A Lazarus By Sylvia Plath
Sylvia Plath Analysis Sylvia Plath is well known for her rather obscure themes in
her writing. One theme that appears in almost all of her poems is that of isolation
from mankind and the world. In Plath s case, isolation can also mean isolation
from expression, from freedom, or from people. Plath s poems Daddy , Lady
Lazarus , and Tulips all express isolation through separate literary techniques such
as metaphor, juxtaposition, and imagery One of the most effective methods Plath
uses to convey her feelings of isolation is through the use of metaphors. For
example, in Daddy the lines I began to talk like a Jew/ I think I may well be a Jew
is used to connect her struggles to that of the Jewish during World War II. The
memory of her father... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She is objectified; she is no more than a mere spectacle to the ravenous assembly
before her. People even are willing to shove in to see her in her worst conditions,
utterly powerless. It is as if Lady Lazarus is put into her own world, a separate
sphere of reality where she lacks any form of jurisdiction. Because of this
objectification and dehumanization, Lady Lazarus is left feeling empty and used
by the public as a source to feed their sadistic needs. However, this lack of power is
juxtaposed with the last stanza (lines 82 84) where Lady Lazarus appears to have
regained total control. Lady Lazarus has regained control indeed, but she has
acquired control over death. This life long flirtation with suicide (Moramarco)
further separated her from normal society by placing Lady Lazarus into an
indefinable category of people who wish to gain power but are constantly
committing suicide. Because of this, she is back with a vengeance to gain
fulfillment for her isolation. She tries eat[ing] men like air , but her soul is still left
vacant. Even though she appears to have amazing power, she is left even more empty
than when she started her mission to end her isolation. Juxtaposition is also a major
contributor to the style of Tulips . The narrator feels trapped and isolated in
comparison to the vivacious community of vicious tulips that surrounds her. The
narrator expresses her
Facilitating Better Scheduling of Smart Grid
I. INTRODUCTION A key objective of smart grid efforts is to substantially
increase the penetration of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind. As
per the Solar Mission under the National Action Plan on Climate Change, the central
government of India plans to generate up to 20 GW grid based solar power, and
cover 20 million square metres with solar energy collectors by 2020[1]. However
land acquisition is a challenge to solar farm projects in India, hence there is a need to
utilize residential roof tops for harvesting of solar energy. Substantial grid integration
of renewables is challenging, since their power generation is intermittent and
uncontrollable. The modern electric grid permits households to consume electricity
in essentially arbitrary quantities at any time, and is not currently designed for vast
quantities of uncontrollable generation. Instead, the grid constantly monitors the
demand for electricity, and dispatches generators to satisfy demand as it rises and
falls. Fortunately, electricity demand is highly predictable when aggregating over
thousands of buildings and homes. As a result, today s grid is able to accurately plan
in advance which generators to dispatch, and when, to satisfy demand.
The challenge with substantial integration of renewable energy is that the electricity
generated by renewables is not easily predictable in advance and varies based on
both weather conditions and site specific conditions. For large scale solar farms
producing
Chicago Meatpacking History
History of the Back of the Yards
Running from west Pershing Road, around south Western Avenue, west Garfield
Boulevard, and ending at the intersection with south Halsted Street and west Pershing
Road lies the neighborhood, New City, also known as the Back of the Yards.
Canaryville is also another neighborhood that lies within New City.
The establishment of the Union Stock Yardsin 1865 led to the expansion of
meatpacking in southside Chicago. Before private stock yards were created, tavern
owners provided land and care for cattle herds waiting to be sold. With the
increasing service of railroads throughout the United States, small stockyards were
created in and around the city of Chicago. Chicago became the largest railroad center

This book described the horrifying conditions in the stockyards and meatpacking
industry. The story depicts a young man and woman who have recently
immigrated to Chicago from Lithuania. They have a wedding feast at a bar in
Packingown. The couple and some of their relatives go to Chicago for a better life
but Packingtown, the center of the city s meatpacking industry, is dangerous,
filthy, and hard. It was also difficult to find a job. The couple become a hundred
dollars in debt to the saloonkeeper and Jurgis has faith in the American dream that
he could just work harder to make more money. They go through struggles with
hard laboring jobs such as digging freight tunnels (which resulting in him going to
the hospital), getting arrested because of attacking a man for not giving him
correct change, he starts to commit crimes such as burglaries and soon gets
recruited to work for a corrupt political boss. His spirit soon gets crushed by misery
and wanders into a socialist political rally which fills Jurgis with inspiration
through a speech. He finds a job as a porter at a socialist run hotel and later reunites
with wife. This story is filled with signs of corruption and immorality. A big symbol
in this story was the animals and slaughterhouses of Packingtown which represent the
working class. Just like the animals were killed with impunity, made to suffer and
had no choice about their fate, so were thousands of immigrant workers who lived in
poverty. They were forced into capitalism. Waves of animals pass through
Packingtown, just as the generations of immigrants continue to eventually be
replaced by a new
Theme Of Justice In Boxer And Saints
The sheer complexity of justice, which Gene Luen Yang conveys throughout
Boxers and Saints, creates an obscure understanding for when it is truly served.
Still, the theme that justice is solely attained by those who show sympathy towards
others is perpetually illustrated throughout both novels. Yang demonstrates that one
s compassion is determined by the reader s sense of justice, which is prevalent if a
character dies to save another. Therefore, the answer to the philosophical question,
Is justice ever achieved? , is merely dependent upon the compassion shown by a
character, as is the reader s sense of justice regarding it. Essentially, Yang proves
that no matter how one begins their fight, justice is served as long as they end it
portraying the greatest act of compassion: saving someone s life even if it means
losing their own.
Throughout Boxers and Saints, Bao provokes numerous deaths in order to save his
own life, thus ending the story an unjustified character. This is proven when his
father begs him not to leave, but he does so anyways. Bao believes that he is
rescuing his father from a damaged state and that this justifies his desertion;
however, his indifference towards his vow to always respect [his] father s wishes
(Boxers 66) leads to his father s death as [he] refuse[s] to eat (Boxers 261). By
inflicting injustice upon his father, Bao proves his lack of compassion. He further
displays injustice when he allows Ch in, his inner conscience, to negatively

My Free Time Decoding Crosswords Essay
Ever since I was young, I have always been fascinated by the challenge of
completing a puzzle. I spent most of my free time decoding crosswords, sifting
through hundreds of pieces in order to find the one that fits perfectly in the missing
space, or analyzing the 9x9 cells of a game of Sudoku until I reached success. Poetry
is a conundrum that has an infinite amount of answers and interpretations, which is
one of the many reasons as to why it is such a special and unique form of art. The
way an author is able to address a topic of such depth and complexity with a limited
amount of words, to me, is a puzzle in itself. The challenge of comprehending and
identifying the various meanings within a single piece of poetry is one of the
many reasons why it is able to capture my undivided attention. Although I
appreciate poetry in all forms, slam poetry stands out to me the most. Having the
opportunity to hear a poem with all of the raw emotion that the author intended the
audience to feel as they were writing it is not something that should be taken for
granted. Hearing the rise and fall of the author s voice as they perform a poem
allows me to form a deeper connection with not only the poem as a whole, but also
the poet. The passion that projects out of Michael Lee s voice as he performs Pass

Cinderella Act 2
The first performance at this recital was Martha (1949), Act 2 by Friedrich Von
Flotow. It consisted of 2 baritone performers as well as 2 sopranos. A few of the
singers performed as soloists along with a majority of it being sung as a duet. The
baritone and soprano performers seemed to alternate between certain sections of the
song. This piece consisted largely of reoccurring phrases that helped depict the
longing Lionel felt. The melody seemed to be more varied, which, led me to the
conclusion this piece came from the Romantic era. The second performance was
Cinderella (1957), Highlights by Rogers and Hammerstein. This seemed to be a more
modern operacompared to the prior performance. The melody seemed somewhat
unique compared to pieces I ve had to listen to for our listening guide homework. It
also seemed to combine the ideas of melody and... Show more content on

Closely resembled the first performance leading me the conclusion it was from the
Romantic era. The rhythmic diversity of this performance made it very interesting
to watch making it much easier to reflect on the ideas we have discussed in class.
This act seemed to be mostly homophonic, but also included polyphony. The only
downfall of this performance was due to the fact the only instrument played was
the piano, if other instruments were included I feel as if the there would be a much
stronger emotional sense. The fourth and fifth performances were both from the
Secret Garden (1991), Act 2 by Lucy Simon. The first part was a duet that consisted
of one soprano and one baritone while the second part was a quartet that contained
two baritones and 2 sopranos. However, this piece seemed very similar to the second
performance because they were both composed with the last one hundred years. With
that being said, it somewhat surprised me that the melodies used in this performance
were similar to English folk melodies even though this piece is fairly
Sociology Is A Simple Form Of Sociology
Sociology, in its most simple form, is often described as the study of society and
culture or as Alvin L. Bertrand says, the study of human relationships in his book
Basic Sociology (1967:5), although, others argue that it is not that simple, such as R.
Jenkins who says There are those for whom the fundamental building blocks of
Sociological analysis can only be individuals, others for whom they must be
collectivities in The foundations of Sociology(R. Jenkins: 15). Sociology brings
together a number of different viewpoints from a wide range of sociologists.
Although Auguste Come was the founder of the term Sociology , a number of
different Sociologists, such as Durkheim and Marx, have challenged and changed
perceptions about the term.
Auguste Comte (1798 1857), a French social scientist inspired by changes that the
French Revolution caused, was the key founder of Sociology as a concept and
classed himself at the first official sociologist . The word sociology is a simple
combination of two different words: Firstly, the word socius , which has Latin
origins and a direct meaning of society, association, togetherness or companionship
, and Secondly, the ancient Greek word, logos, which has a literal meaning of to
speak about, or a word . Therefore, Comte defined Sociology, in the simplest form,
as the study of society and culture . Not only was Comte the first to give Sociology
a definition but also the first to study how society worked as a system, as said by
Influences of the Romantic Period
Influences on the Romantic Period Romanticism spawned in the late 18th century
and flourished in the early and mid 19th century. Romanticism emphasized the
irrational, the imaginative, the personal, the spontaneous, the emotional, the
visionary, the transcendental, and the individual. Romanticism is often viewed as a
rejection of the ideologies of Classicism and Neoclassicisms, namely calm, order,
harmony, idealization, rationality and balance. Some characteristics of Romanticism
include: emotion over reason, senses over intellect, love for nature, use of the hero
and the exceptional figure in general, emphasis of imagination being the gateway to
spiritual truth, and an interest in folk culture. Romanticism was preceded by related...

Percy Shelley s The Necessity of Atheism was heavily influenced by Shelley s
religious belief, atheism. In Necessity of Atheism Shelley argues that there is no
evidence for a God based on observation or experience. This line of argument
indicates the major influence of the Enlightenment philosophers on his perspective,
but religion is still the main influence because his religious belief is the foundation of
the writing. Religious influence on Romantic authors is further shown by
Wordsworth s Ode: Intimations of Immortality. Ode: Intimations of Immortality is
influenced by Wordsworth s belief in Pantheism and is demonstrated by his use of
nature throughout. Pantheism is also shown when Wordsworth states that children
are more pure and closer to nature than adults, but that as adults, recollection of youth
can give one a closer philosophical relationship with nature. Though Shelley and
Wordsworth pursued two completely different paths with their texts they both arrived
at the same point, having deep personal religious beliefs that very strongly influenced
their writing (James Cooper). Religion was prominent during the Romantic Era in the
same way that classical mythology was important in previous era s; Romantic authors
used religious imagery in the same way that they would use other ancient traditions
that they no longer believed in. Faust by Goethe for example, has many Christian
Helicopters In The Vietnam War
On the morning of April 30 1975, with White Christmas playing on the radio, the
last American boarded a helicopter on the roof of the US Embassy in Saigon
effectively ending a long and painful chapter in US military history (Leeker, 2015).
The iconic photo of Americans climbing the embassy staircase to board the waiting
helicopter became a lasting symbol and serves to highlight the critical role the
helicopter played in the Vietnam War. While the United States
had tested the feasibility
of helicopters in the Korean War, their utility and combat power fully matured over
the rice paddies and jungles of Vietnam. This was never more apparent than during
the final hours of the Vietnam War. The massive air evacuation that took place
undoubtedly saved... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While it had been planned for some time, delaying the evacuation until the last
moment caused the plan to fall apart quickly. Panicked South Vietnamese Army
pilots began stealing Air America helicopters, picking up their families, and
heading out to the flotilla at sea (Veith, 2012). The next serious issue became
access to fuel. The fuel truck, which had been prepositioned for Air America s use,
disappeared. It was later discovered in a impound lot with no keys (Leary
Czajkowski, 2005). This meant that the only place to refuel was the naval ships
parked in the South China Sea. After two or three shuttle flights from Saigon to the
DAO compound, the pilots needed to fly out to sea for refuel. As the skies became
clogged with US Navy, Marine, Air America, and South Vietnamese aircraft, the
spaces to land became sparse. One small frigate with a tiny helipad was able to
land 17 helicopters. They would push each helicopter over the side to make room
for the next (Herman, 2013). As the day progressed, the navy started denying Air
America pilot s requests for fuel. Low on fuel, some pilots were forced to drop their
passengers and ditch the aircraft in the ocean. Others shut down and helped the deck
crew push their aircraft over the side (Leeker, 2015). Despite the absolute chaos, Air
America managed to airlift
The Dilemma Of Personal Cultural Identification
On the Dilemma of Personal Cultural Identification
Like many Americans, I have ancestors who immigrated to the United States out of
necessity. Many people have stories of their ancestors trying to escape poverty or
unstable government, while others forebears came for the opportunity with which the
United States seemed to be overflowing, and others still tell of their predecessors
leaving for personal reasons, perhaps to find a family member who had left years
before. For those who had fled their home countries out of fear or necessity, America
was often the obvious choice for the individual or family for relocation. The nation
has long been known as the land of opportunity , and letters sent by individuals who
had emigrated without their entire families have confirmed this title numerous times.
This was the case for my great grandfather in particular, who might not have come to
America had it not been for the letters he received from his sister who had moved to
the United States and written back to her family in Italy. After fleeing from poor
conditions in Italy, my ancestors were presented with both opportunities and
challenges which they may never have experienced had they not chosen to immigrate
to the United States of America, and their stories play an important role in the
definition of American culture.
During the late nineteenth century, economic crises and corrupt, unstable
governments seemed to be commonplace in Italy. In 1892, Giovanni Giolitti became

In the Presidential Election of 1824, Andrew Jackson the people s choice lost the
ballot by way of a corrupt bargain in the House of Representatives. Four years later
and with the backing of a larger political following, Jackson became president,
campaigning to the middle class and offering the opportunities of a benevolent
democracy. Jackson s supporters, the Jacksonians, were as diverse as they were
numerous; northern farmers, southern and western yeomen, and even urban
immigrants all joined the ranks of the Champion of the Common Man (OI). During
Andrew Jackson s two terms, the state of Jacksonian Democracy that took form
upheld the principles of equality and majority rule that bound the United States
together politically, economically and socially. During the 1820s and 1830s,
Jacksonians served as guardians of the Constitution and equality of economic
opportunity, and functioned as a catalyst for popular sovereignty, but sacrificed some
individual liberties to advance the political democracy in the union. As President,
Andrew Jackson strictly adhered to the guidelines set in the Constitution to uphold
the union. In 1830, Andrew Jackson vetoed the bill, passed in Congress, which
pushed for a federally funded road system to be developed in Kentucky (OI). To
defend this denial, Jackson abided by the Constitution s declaration that intra state
internal improvements are to be funded by the states, not the federal government.

2)Background Research: According to The Microscope . The Parts of a Microscope.
N.p.,
n.d. Web. 20 Nov. 2015. , it gives the definition of different parts of a compound light
microscope. According to the source it states, The compound microscope has
two systems of lenses for greater magnification, 1) the ocular, or eyepiece lens
that one looks into and 2) the objective lens, or the lens closest to the object. The
source said that usually you will find 3 or 4 objective lenses on a microscope.

Characteristics Of School Shootings
What characteristics, if any, do school shooters have in common? Can they all be
lumped into one group of empathy lacking, sadistic, depressed individuals, or do
they each act due to their own separate reasons? Although the media makes it seem
as if school campus massacres are becoming an increasingly common threat, the
reality is that an event of that caliber is exceptionally rare. While it is true that no
two perpetrators are alike, it is important to recognize that the overwhelming majority
of school shooters follow a basic equation of personality traits, behavioral patterns,
and other characteristics. It would be impossible to create a definitive list of
characteristics that every single school shooter possesses, and researchers on... Show

The psychotic type had an intact family, but did suffer from or at least show
symptoms of various psychological disorders or mental illnesses, such as
schizophrenia. Finally, the psychopathic type, who also came from an intact
family, exhibited such behavior as narcissism and sadism and lacked both
empathy and a conscious (Langman, 2009). It is clear that although researchers
do not always agree on how to explain the behavior of school shooters, there are
some fundamental traits that are very frequently included in their studies. When
news of an active shooter situation hits the media, word spreads quickly, especially
when the event takes place at a school. Before long, expert psychologists, law
enforcement personnel, and even ordinary citizens begin to look into the shooter s
personal life, attempting to find a piece of evidence that could help explain why
they opened fire. The incident that took place on October 24, 2014 at Marysville
Pilchuck High School is no exception. Fifteen year old Jaylen Fryberg entered the
school cafeteria, took out a .40 caliber handgun, and began shooting at a table of his
classmates (Carter, 2014). Four students would succumb to their injuries, and
another three were critically wounded. Fryberg also took his own life in the
shooting ( Marysville Shooter Texted, 2015). If one were to place Fryberg into the
Leary et al. study, the results would be consistent with the previous
Mobile Ad Hoc Network Essay
Mobile ad hoc network (MANTE) is a group of wireless mobile computers (nodes)
in where they help each other to forward packets when out of range of direct
wireless transmission. When out of range could mean constantly moving, no base
station infrastructure or infrastructure destroyed. Ad hoc networks can effortlessly
and inexpensively be established. Ad hoc network can be easily set up due to the
fact it doesn t require a centralized administrator and doesn t require a fixed network
infrastructure (base station/ access point). With the creation of Ad hoc networks
came the problem of secure routing protocols for this type of network.
Ariadne is one the secure routing protocol which was created to improve ad hoc
networking security. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ariadne can be implemented in three ways to authenticate routing messages:
sharing of secret keys between all pair of nodes, TESLA (broadcasting
authentication) with sharing of secret keys, and digital signatures. Sharing secret
keys between nodes requires n (n 1)/2 keys to be established in the network (Anjum,
2007), the keys can be installed by the key distribution center before message
routing. This type of approach creates administrative (someone to distribute the keys)
and scalability (time delay) challenges¬¬. The TESLA approach requires the
same type of process as the first, but it adds a single message authentication code
(MAC) to a request message, this creates a security issue when broadcasting the
message where the receiver can impersonate the sender. TESLA then uses one way
hash chain and clock synchronization to prevent this. The third implementation
requires each node to have a set of asymmetric key and in short requires each node to
have certain computational capability. The focus will be on TESLA implementation
assuming each commination share a MAC key, every node has one way hash chain
capability, all nodes know the authentication key of the TESLA one way key chain of
every other node, and sender trust the destination source.

The Importance Of Censorship
Imagine a society without censorship, where everyone knows each other s secrets,
it would be lethal for society. What would happen if people knew one s
weaknesses?. There is evil that needs to be censored. Censorship is necessary in our
society for many different reasons. It protects nations, prevents conflict in society, it
protects the morals/privacy of people, and it is also helpful for children.
Censorship Protects a Nation
Censorship is very important in relation to a nation, It restrains vulgarity and
obscenity (Pillai). It helps the nation against any danger. First, it protects military
information that could be used for evil, then, it can also help on controlling panic and
rumors throughout a nation, A similar case was observed in India in 2008 when
terrorists attacked The Taj MahalPalace Hotel in Mumbai (Pillai). Finally, censorship
preserves the secrets of the entire nation, secrets that could put nations in danger
(Pillai). Censorship can lead to a peaceful society by protecting our secrets from those
who want to harm us.
Censorship Prevents Conflict In Society
Censorship helps to evade conflict in different ways, Censoring hate helps to
promote peace (11 Biggest Pros and Cons of Censorship). By censoring hate we can
stop the rumors of hate through our society, and we could only worry about our
community, and not for those who hate. There is wealth violent material in Internet
that can be accessed with ease, this exposure is dangerous because it makes
Sport in Istambul
Sport in Istanbul Sport in Istanbul takes a very big place. There are many different
kinds of sport available on both Asian and European parts. Water sports such as
scuba dive and rafting are very attracting to tourists who come from all over the
world and Soccer is very popular among Turkish citizens. There are many different
sport stadiums that are based on the both sides of Istanbul, but actually many of them
belong to Football clubs like Galatasaray, Besiktas and Fenehbahce. Also, Istanbul
holds Vodafone Istanbul Marathon every year. Thousands of Turkish people come
out to stroll and hundreds of athletes run to break new records. I and my friends
have participated In 2013 Istanbul Marathon too, it was a great sport experience.
As I mentioned previously, many tourists that come to Istanbul usually do scuba
diving. The closest place in Istanbul is Prince s islands. Many tourists who have
dived out there said that the deep waters near the islands are not transparent and
the visibility is not good, but some people say there are diving areas near the islands
that allow to have a great experience of being under the water. Touring agencies offer
many scuba diving courses for the first comers and for professionals, equipment is
generally provided by trip organization. Rafting is an adrenaline filled, exciting
experience, a perfect escape from the big city for a day or weekend, and an ideal

Small Beginnings
I always heard growing up, Great things can emerge from small beginnings . My
mom made sure that my 4 sisters and I know that. Being a child of two ministers, my
family has experience working with small businesses and ministries, for our church
was small. Unfortunately, things did not work for our church, so we had shut down.
My family then attended Family Christian Center (FCC) in Munster, Indiana. FCC is
a mega church with fancy lighting, a ginormous stage, and large screens. The pastor
of the church had great illustrated messages.
I attended Two52 Youth Culture, FCC s youth ministry. There I met Sade.
Everyone enjoyed her company she always had a positive attitude. She helped those
dealing with depression, substance abuse, dysfunctional households and financial
hardships the same problems she went through as a teen. She led youth meetings
on Tuesdays in which anyone can learn theater and dance. We would meet in a
cafeteria and have a brief bible study accompanied with short skits, then followed
by snacks and practice. Sade also wanted us to show our talent beyond Two52, so
she started a pop out team. We visited malls and danced amid the crowds. Johnny, a
teen guitarist serenaded strangers while the rest of us pass out flyers.
Sade shared dream of owning a business. She wanted a center where teenagers learn
all about the Arts. She talked about having art classes, drum sessions, guitar lessons,
photography, and of course, drama and theater practice. Everyone
Philosophy And Practices Of Religion
The idea, concept, and practices of religion have never really been something that
is of importance to me during my life. For the longest time I did not identify as any
certain or specific religion and when asked I would simply state how I was not a
religious person. It was not until high school when I discovered the religionof
Agnosticism. In our English class we had to research different religions and our
group received Agnosticism. Before then I had never heard of that religion, but
after learning about Agnosticism it pretty much summed up how I feel and what I
believe about God and religion. Basically Agnosticism entails that the person
believes that the existence of God is uncertain and claims neither a faith nor a
disbelief in God. I feel like this religion perfectly sums up how I feel when it comes
to my faith and ideas about God and just religion as a whole. Since I am not a
religious type of person, the idea of me choosing another one that I would be a part
of seems like a difficult task. When I do think about the various religions that I have
studied, written, and read about during the course of this semester there is one that
stands out to me. If I had to choose another religion to join instead of my own, I
would join Buddhismbecause their fundamental principles and values are those that
I can agree with and their ultimate purpose in life is something I can see myself
believing in as well. To begin, in the Buddhist religion there are various principles and

Yeah I think so, it just really hurt, I replied as I stood up, not knowing what I just

when it touched my skin, it felt like icicles were stabbing into my foot. Ally and I
started talking, we still had about 2 hours before my mom came to pick me up to go

pick me up. Unlike before, I got up but when I put pressure on my foot I was in a
lot of pain, yet I limped my way down the stairs and told my mom what happened
and that it really hurt. My mom said that if I can t go to swimming then we should
go to get it checked out. I climbed into the car slowly and we drove to the doctors.

Consequences Of Imperialism In Africa
The Industrial Revolution made many new inventions that had many sources of
energy and materials needed to make them. For the nations with this technology,
Imperialism was a way for them to further Industrialize and generate economy.
Imperialism is the act of one country expanding its power to other territory in order
to colonize and gain resources, economy, knowledge, and control. European
countries with strong militaries used Imperialism in order to achieve these goals
but caused consequences in the long term. Africa, China, And India were
imperialized by European countries due to the cheap labor, raw resources,
research opportunities, and consumers available but this was greeted with many
rebellions, many deaths, unfair treaties, and spreading of technology and
knowledge from one country to the next. European powers wanted to colonize in
Africa due to cheap labor and raw resources available which led to many enslaved
people brutally dieing and territory being dispersed between other countries. The
resources found in Africa were diamonds, jewels, and copper which were being
mined out by the native enslaved people. Ivory and hides of animals were popular
for colonists to have. Normal citizens of tribes were dieing due to forced labor and
native animals were dying due to hunting. Colonists didn t even see imperialism as a
bad thing to the native people of Africa, seen in the poem A White Man s Burden.
Scientists saw Africa as an opportunity to expand knowledge in the
The Importance Of Social Work For Refugees And Asylum
Seekers
Social Workers have a duty, professionally and morally to support refugee children
and asylum seekers.
Social workers have a professional and moral duty to ensure that services are
provided to those who most need it. The duty that Social workers have toward
Refugees and asylum seekers, particularly children is strong but not often met.
People s wellbeing is a key ideal within social work and is strongly represented
within the Care Act 2014, the earlier Children s Act 2004 is also clear on the
protection of children s rights in the UK. In the essay there will be a discussion on
how in some areas the statute is not strong enough to allow Social Workers to work
properly, but also how there needs to be changes regarding social work focus on
refugees.
Recently, United Nations Children s Fund (UNICEF) has campaigns to help reform
the UK s current law on family. The law only recognises parents or spouses and civil
partners as family. A child refugeemay have an older sibling, or more extended
family such as an uncle but they would not be allowed into the country under the
Family Reunion rules. The dangers for children trying to reach family in the UK
are high and it leaves them at risk of exploitation, 78% of adolescents face some
form of exploitation whilst travelling the Central Mediterranean route to Europe,
UNICEF (2017). Social Workers have a duty here to protest the UK s laws, and the
decision of the Government not to join the EU s relocation scheme for Refugees.

An efficient and secure aviation system is essential within Australia s aviation
industry since it connects cities and Australia to the rest of the world. Aviation security

The Origin Of The Word Nano
1.1 Introduction
Nanotechnology, the term derived from the Greek word nano, meaning dwarf, applies
the principles of engineering, electronics, physical and material science, and
manufacturing at a molecular or submicron level. The materials at nanoscale could be
a device or a system or supramolecular structures. Earlier Albert Franks defined it as
that area of science and technology where dimensions and tolerances are in the nano
range. Nanomaterials are the most promising tool in nanotechnology that posses very
unique size dependent properties that makes them superior and indispensable in many
areas of human activity. In recent years, synthesis and characterization of
nanoparticles have received considerable attention because of their distinctive
properties and potential uses in various fields like microelectronics, photocatalysis,
magnetic devices, biotechnology and biomedical fields. Various nanoformulations
have already been studied and applied as drug delivery systems with great success
and they still have greater potential for many applications like drugs, antibiotics,
protein delivery, imaging techniques, anti tumour therapy and as a carrier for Blood
Brain Barrier (BBB) crossing (Yezhelyev, 2006; Chen, 2013; Naahidi, 2013).
Nanoparticles provide massive advantages regarding drug targeting, controlled
release and can be combined with diagnosis and other imaging therapy, hence,
emerge as one of the major tools in nanomedicine (Shrivastav, 2013; Jain, 2012).

Difference in Salaries between Male and Female Chefs
If you want to become a great chef, you have to work with great chefs. And that s
exactly what I did ( Gordon Ramsay Quote ). Gordon Ramsay said to become a great
chef you have to work with great chefs he never said you had to be a male or
female. Its shouldn t matter about their genders. So why do femalechefs get paid so
little and male get paid way more ? Nation s Restaurant News found out male
executive chefs was $17,950 higher than female executive chefs $68,000 V.S.
$50,050 (Coomes). There s so many reasons female chefs should get paid as much
as male chefs. Male shouldn t be the only ones shining , female should be able to
shine too. Female chefs should be paid as much as male chefs because it shouldn t
matter the genderand they are doing exactly the same thing. In general female get
paid so little and male get paid so much more . This will be including female chefs in
the food industry. According to Bloomberg.com Women hold just 6.3 percent of head
chefpositions in the u.s , according to a survey of 15 prominent restaurant group.
And while female workers make up a majority of food service employee and up to
40 percent of graduates from some of the country s top cooking school government
data shows there s currently a larger percentage of female CEOs in the u.s. than
head chefs (). Females and males should be treated and paid equal. Womans are not
always going to depend on a male. So how will people like female survive If they get
paid so little?

a wide array of objects with the intent of fostering education. They actively and
continuously make the viewer engage with the items on display through the
knowledge that they produce and the structure of the displays. The Chamber of
Wonders is located in the Walters Art Museum
and displays a vast array of objects in
an attempt to mimic the style of the Wunderkammers of the recent past. Both man
made and natural objects are displayed. There are mounted animals and skeletons of
animals like insects, mammals, bird and reptiles. There are ancient artifacts from
cultures around the world, beautiful stones, minerals and shells. There are also works

a soldier known to all yet at the same time not a face many recognize had to rise to

William Wallace and his men gather at the top of the hill opposite of the enemy
getting ready for another battle, he looks to his men all with worry in their eyes,
for they are outnumbered three to one. William with his faith and bravery begins
to give a speech to try and rally his men. Sons of Scotland, I am William Wallace.

Wallace and his remaining men had moved on to find another place to camp and

more men are joining the army. After months of preparations and planning for their
next siege to try and kill the king of england and win their freedom they finally
figure out where and how they are to do it. They had planned to have their leader
Wallace to give himself up. When the men get to the city all of Wallace s followers
were to disguise themselves and wait until William was to give them the cue to
attack. The king had fallen very sick and was getting prepared to give his country
to his son. His last will was to live long enough to see Wallace and his men all

that he would then be tortured and beaten in front of everybody. Wallace is not one

The Rodeo Show Of The Western Culture
My reflection on the show was that the dominant group was definitely were white
male, and few white females in the second competition section. In the second
competition section, male s performance was better than female because there had no
female catch the calf. But few male was catch the calf. The same competition of first
and third section were all white malewhich I believed that the section was too
dangerous for femaleto competed. Since cowboys who dropped off from the
horseback seemed painful and hurtful which was not good to women s body. In the
realistic world, people tend to believe that men are stronger than women in gender
role, so that women maybe too weak to handle that dangerous activity.
Since I have not attended rodeo before, therefore I know nothing about the rules of
the rodeo. I tried to understand the rodeo show based on my observation. So I am
going to use gender role to analyze the rodeo show of the Western culture. First, it
was obvious that white male dominant group were leading the activity. The first
entry the ground was a heavy middle age cowboy, and two young beautiful cowgirls
followed after him. Then the judge place had few white males were standing there. In
the second section there had twice cowboys than cowgirls in the competition. Only

The Sacrificial System in the Hebrew Scriptures Essay
The Sacrificial System in the Hebrew Scriptures
Korban Chova: Obligatory Sacrifices
Korban Khatat Sin Offerings (Literally sacrifices due to sin )
Introduced in Leviticus 6:24 30, this was a mandatory sacrifice due to sin as
defined in the Torah. This was most commonly based on negligence of the
commandment broken and was offered on the northern side of the altar (which was
out of view of the people) so as not to publicly humiliate the sinner (the Olah was
conducted in the same manner). Based on social standing it would consist of the
following:
High Priest: A bull without blemish
Congregation: A bull without blemish
An authority over the people: A male goat without blemish
Individual: Female goat or lamb without blemish

smoke) Burnt Offerings. This offering was brought to the courtyard of the
Tabernacle. The offerer would lean over the animal, place his hands on the animal s
head (s mikhah yedayim), and confess the sin he was committing. One priest would
hand the offerer a knife, while the other priest collected the blood from when the
offerer cut the throat of the animal and then would sprinkle it on the four corners of
the altar. The organs were removed, cleaned and then burnt on the altar with the rest
of the animal.
Introduced in Leviticus 6:8 13, this was a free will sacrifice. Based on wealth it could
consist of the following:
Upper Class: Bull without blemish
Middle Class: Male Sheep or goat without blemish
Lower Class: Turtledoves or young pigeon
The purpose behind this offering was to atone for sin
The Portions:
God s portion: the entirety of the sacrifice
Priestly portion: none
Offerer s portion: none
Korban Mincha (Literally Present ) Flour Offerings. This offering accompanied all
Korban Olah, but was an option for the extremely poor to offer in the place of Olah.
The offering consisted of flour that would be placed in a pan, mixed with oil until a
fragrant smell was realized. The priest then measured out three handfuls and burnt it
on the altar, but care was made to ensure that the flour didn t rise (leaven).
Introduced in Leviticus

Original Argumentative Essay Topics

  • 1. Original Argumentative Essay Topics Crafting an essay on the subject of "Original Argumentative Essay Topics" is no small feat. The challenge lies not only in the need for creativity and critical thinking but also in navigating the vast landscape of ideas to find topics that are truly original. The process demands a delicate balance between novelty and relevance, as the chosen topics should not only capture the reader's interest but also provoke thoughtful discourse. Firstly, the difficulty arises from the very essence of the task – originality. In a world saturated with information, finding a unique angle or perspective can be akin to searching for a needle in a haystack. It requires a deep dive into various fields, a keen awareness of current events, and an ability to spot connections that others may overlook. The fear of inadvertently regurgitating common arguments looms large, pushing the writer to explore unconventional avenues of thought. Furthermore, crafting an argumentative essay demands more than just novelty; it necessitates a rigorous examination of one's own ideas. The writer must not only present a compelling case but also anticipate counterarguments, fostering a thorough understanding of the subject matter. This intellectual rigor, combined with the pressure to present fresh insights, adds layers of complexity to the writing process. Additionally, the challenge extends to striking the right balance between uniqueness and feasibility. While an essay may delve into the realm of the unexplored, it should also be grounded in reality, avoiding topics that veer into the impractical or esoteric. The writer must navigate this fine line to ensure that the essay remains engaging and relevant to a wider audience. In conclusion, writing an essay on original argumentative topics is a formidable task that demands creativity, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of the chosen subject matter. It is a journey through uncharted territories, requiring the writer to navigate the complexities of originality while maintaining a connection to reality. For those seeking assistance in navigating this challenging terrain, it's worth noting that similar essays and a plethora of writing services are available on platforms like HelpWriting.net. These resources can provide valuable support and guidance in crafting compelling and original argumentative essays on a wide range of topics. The big change an individual makes when moving from a rural area to the city affects all aspect of a person life. This movement is called urbanization; is a population shift from rural to urban areas, the gradual increase in the proportion of people living in urban areas , and the ways in which each society adapts to the change. Urbanization is predominantly the process by which towns and cities form and become larger. It usually occurs when a country is still developing or the better services available in the city. It is as much as a social process as it is an economic and territorial process. There are a few major cause of urbanization which include the industrial revolution, immigration, push and pull factor. Industrialization is the increase and development of a society or country that transforms its self s itself from a primarily agricultural society into one based on the industrialized of goods and services. The increasing number of factories created has a powerful need for labor, compelling people in rural areas to move to the city, and drawing immigrants from around the world to come to Canada for employment. As a result, Canada has transformed from a rural to an urban nation, and the demographics of the country shifted dramatically. Subsequent industrial development the process of urbanВ¬ization is accelerating at much more rapidly rate. Urbanization brings about social and cultural changes in community life, which also correspond to modernization. The loss of community life and traditional large sized joint families on one hand and growing individualism, and smaller sizes of houseВ¬holds and development of independent personalities in a diverse community on the other, are the commonly observed characteristics of urban as well as modern way of

For example, Harley could have a strategy to only utilize suppliers with an ISO 9000 rating to produce Harley products. The current suppliers may be replaced with overseas or domestic suppliers as well. If Harley wants to ensure total control and quality for its customers it could also choose in house production. Since Harley relies on brand recognition, the buyers of Harley Davidson motorcycles have great influence over production decisions. The threat of substitute products for Harley motorcycles is average because of the brand recognition that Harley enjoys. If riders are not looking for the Harley Davidson image and want a cheaper motorcycle, they may look at other brands. Rivalry in the industry is high with low priced competitors such as Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki. However, Harley Davidson is an American icon with a strong image of quality and freedom on the open road over the years. MarketingStrategy
  • 4. One of the largest marketing strategies for Harley Davidson was the creation of HOG (Harley Owners Group). This allows owners to share experiences and network through rides, rallies, and other events. Another successful marketing strategy Harley created in 2000 is Rider s Edge which provides lessons for basic and advanced motorcycling skills. About 35% of the students in Rider s Edge are young adults and 37%o enrolled are women ( 2009 Harley Davidson Annual Report ). This
  • 5. Essay On Evaluative Conditioning This current study examined if the pairing of the DE100 IPTV logo with a positive image of happy graduates the experimental condition would result in more participants liking the DE100 IPTV Logo than those in the control condition . This association being a principle of evaluative conditioning where someone likes something because it has become linked in their minds with something positive. After collecting the data, a chi square test showed the results were not statistically significant, meaning that there were no significant differences seen between the experimental and control conditions in how many participants reported liking the logo. Thus, it was noted that the effect sizewas small and therefore the hypothesis made, that more... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Moreover, although these findings were not consistent with earlier work into the theory of evaluative conditioning such as that shown by Chen et al. (2012) cited in Brace (2014, p.160) and Hollands et al. (2011) cited in The Open University (2014), many factors might be present into why this study did not accurately support this work. For example, choosing participants from amongst family and friends might make them feel pressurised, to give answers that they believed were wanted. Thus, giving false results when the data is analysed. This is a limitation as participants should be unconnected to the researchers running the experiment. Yet the number of participants selected not being too many or too small struck the right balance between size and effectiveness, this being a strength. Additionally, only having a Yes or No answer, might limit the kind of data collected, and is another limitation. However, if participants also wrote a short explanation of why they either disliked or liked the Logo, then more precise data may have been obtained. Also, it can be argued, the subject matter used may not have been a positive enough reinforcement image to show participants, for them to reinforce a positive pairing with the DE100 IPTV logo. Since it could be proposed that participants may have some form of bias towards liking celebrities over other reinforcing images, as celebrities are constantly seen on screen and in publications. However just because you are good with maths does not imply your numeracy is good too, as numeracy is the capacity, confidence and disposition to use mathematics to meet the demands of learning, school, home, work, community and civic life (ACARA, 2009, p.5). Mathematics is the foundation on which everything is built, however it is not about knowing only timetables, formulating, calculating, and being able to provide one right answer to every question, unfortunately this was how maths was taught and enforced with rote and repetition. Rote and repetition did not promote interconnectedness nor did it promote numerate individuals, therefore many could see no relevance to maths in their day to ... By developing numeracy skills and using them reflectively in life, mathematics enriches every students life, and gives rise for mathematicians to develop, that may have previously been lost in the

This union would ignite the darkest moment of Spanish history, the Spanish Inquisition. Ferdinand of Aragon married Isabella I of Castile, in hopes of obtaining the Castilian crown. Isabella s high spirited and politically astute personality enabled her to retain sovereign authority in her own realm, they became known as the Spanish Kings. However, on April 18th 1482, he proposed a new Papal Bull, and accused the Inquisition in Aragon Catalonia to be one that was not focused on heresy and salvation of souls, but rather on greed seeking profit. He noted that true and faithful Christians were being imprisoned, tortured and condemned as heretics on false testimonies made by enemies, rivals, envious people etc. An example is in the year 1635 Pedro Ginesta, a man over 80 years of age of French origin was brought before the tribunal of Barcelona by a comrade for having supposedly eaten a meal of bacon and onions on a day of abstinence. Of all the popes that existed during the time of the Inquisition, only Pope Innocent III (who succeeded Pope Sixtus IV) supported the Spanish Inquisition, all the others attempted to put an end to the vicious inquisition, with each of them noting how inhumane it was. The reliability of the witnesses and the evidence is heavily questioned, not during the era but now, hundreds of years later. The witnesses are heavily disputed, it has been recorded by many scholars at the time that the witnesses were often servants of the accused, or had some type of grudge against

The two graves there date back to the 6th and 7th centuries, both containing a large number of historical artifacts. One of the graves was a ship burial, and most of the wealth and artifacts found from it are currently in The British Museum. It is highly guessed that the ship was the grave of Rædwald, ruler of the East Angles. This site is very important to historians because it helps to shed light on an area of English history that is unclear whether it s myth, or fact. Some of the artifacts they found in the burial chamber were: a suite of metalwork dress fittings in gold and gems, a ceremonial helmet, shield and sword, a lyre, and silver plate. The second
  • 10. I Began To Talk Like A Lazarus By Sylvia Plath Sylvia Plath Analysis Sylvia Plath is well known for her rather obscure themes in her writing. One theme that appears in almost all of her poems is that of isolation from mankind and the world. In Plath s case, isolation can also mean isolation from expression, from freedom, or from people. Plath s poems Daddy , Lady Lazarus , and Tulips all express isolation through separate literary techniques such as metaphor, juxtaposition, and imagery One of the most effective methods Plath uses to convey her feelings of isolation is through the use of metaphors. For example, in Daddy the lines I began to talk like a Jew/ I think I may well be a Jew is used to connect her struggles to that of the Jewish during World War II. The memory of her father... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... She is objectified; she is no more than a mere spectacle to the ravenous assembly before her. People even are willing to shove in to see her in her worst conditions, utterly powerless. It is as if Lady Lazarus is put into her own world, a separate sphere of reality where she lacks any form of jurisdiction. Because of this objectification and dehumanization, Lady Lazarus is left feeling empty and used by the public as a source to feed their sadistic needs. However, this lack of power is juxtaposed with the last stanza (lines 82 84) where Lady Lazarus appears to have regained total control. Lady Lazarus has regained control indeed, but she has acquired control over death. This life long flirtation with suicide (Moramarco) further separated her from normal society by placing Lady Lazarus into an indefinable category of people who wish to gain power but are constantly committing suicide. Because of this, she is back with a vengeance to gain fulfillment for her isolation. She tries eat[ing] men like air , but her soul is still left vacant. Even though she appears to have amazing power, she is left even more empty than when she started her mission to end her isolation. Juxtaposition is also a major contributor to the style of Tulips . The narrator feels trapped and isolated in comparison to the vivacious community of vicious tulips that surrounds her. The narrator expresses her
  • 11. Facilitating Better Scheduling of Smart Grid I. INTRODUCTION A key objective of smart grid efforts is to substantially increase the penetration of renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind. As per the Solar Mission under the National Action Plan on Climate Change, the central government of India plans to generate up to 20 GW grid based solar power, and cover 20 million square metres with solar energy collectors by 2020[1]. However land acquisition is a challenge to solar farm projects in India, hence there is a need to utilize residential roof tops for harvesting of solar energy. Substantial grid integration of renewables is challenging, since their power generation is intermittent and uncontrollable. The modern electric grid permits households to consume electricity in essentially arbitrary quantities at any time, and is not currently designed for vast quantities of uncontrollable generation. Instead, the grid constantly monitors the demand for electricity, and dispatches generators to satisfy demand as it rises and falls. Fortunately, electricity demand is highly predictable when aggregating over thousands of buildings and homes. As a result, today s grid is able to accurately plan in advance which generators to dispatch, and when, to satisfy demand. The challenge with substantial integration of renewable energy is that the electricity generated by renewables is not easily predictable in advance and varies based on both weather conditions and site specific conditions. For large scale solar farms producing

It was also difficult to find a job. The couple become a hundred dollars in debt to the saloonkeeper and Jurgis has faith in the American dream that he could just work harder to make more money. They go through struggles with hard laboring jobs such as digging freight tunnels (which resulting in him going to the hospital), getting arrested because of attacking a man for not giving him correct change, he starts to commit crimes such as burglaries and soon gets recruited to work for a corrupt political boss. His spirit soon gets crushed by misery and wanders into a socialist political rally which fills Jurgis with inspiration through a speech. He finds a job as a porter at a socialist run hotel and later reunites with wife. This story is filled with signs of corruption and immorality. Waves of animals pass through Packingtown, just as the generations of immigrants continue to eventually be replaced by a new
  • 13. Theme Of Justice In Boxer And Saints The sheer complexity of justice, which Gene Luen Yang conveys throughout Boxers and Saints, creates an obscure understanding for when it is truly served. Still, the theme that justice is solely attained by those who show sympathy towards others is perpetually illustrated throughout both novels. Yang demonstrates that one s compassion is determined by the reader s sense of justice, which is prevalent if a character dies to save another. Therefore, the answer to the philosophical question, Is justice ever achieved? , is merely dependent upon the compassion shown by a character, as is the reader s sense of justice regarding it. Essentially, Yang proves that no matter how one begins their fight, justice is served as long as they end it portraying the greatest act of compassion: saving someone s life even if it means losing their own. Throughout Boxers and Saints, Bao provokes numerous deaths in order to save his own life, thus ending the story an unjustified character. This is proven when his father begs him not to leave, but he does so anyways. Bao believes that he is rescuing his father from a damaged state and that this justifies his desertion; however, his indifference towards his vow to always respect [his] father s wishes (Boxers 66) leads to his father s death as [he] refuse[s] to eat (Boxers 261). I spent most of my free time decoding crosswords, sifting through hundreds of pieces in order to find the one that fits perfectly in the missing space, or analyzing the 9x9 cells of a game of Sudoku until I reached success. Poetry is a conundrum that has an infinite amount of answers and interpretations, which is one of the many reasons as to why it is such a special and unique form of art. The way an author is able to address a topic of such depth and complexity with a limited amount of words, to me, is a puzzle in itself. The challenge of comprehending and identifying the various meanings within a single piece of poetry is one of the many reasons why it is able to capture my undivided attention. Although I appreciate poetry in all forms, slam poetry stands out to me the most. Having the opportunity to hear a poem with all of the raw emotion that the author intended the audience to feel as they were writing it is not something that should be taken for granted. Hearing the rise and fall of the author s voice as they perform a poem allows me to form a deeper connection with not only the poem as a whole, but also the poet. The passion that projects out of Michael Lee s voice as he performs Pass On, the anxious and innocent tone created by the short enjambment used by Gary Soto in Oranges, and the way that Mary Oliver finds peace in the beauty of nature throughout Grass leaves

The only downfall of this performance was due to the fact the only instrument played was the piano, if other instruments were included I feel as if the there would be a much stronger emotional sense. The fourth and fifth performances were both from the Secret Garden (1991), Act 2 by Lucy Simon. The first part was a duet that consisted of one soprano and one baritone while the second part was a quartet that contained two baritones and 2 sopranos. However, this piece seemed very similar to the second performance because they were both composed with the last one hundred years. With that being said, it somewhat surprised me that the melodies used in this performance were similar to English folk melodies even though this piece is fairly
  • 17. Sociology Is A Simple Form Of Sociology Sociology, in its most simple form, is often described as the study of society and culture or as Alvin L. Bertrand says, the study of human relationships in his book Basic Sociology (1967:5), although, others argue that it is not that simple, such as R. Jenkins who says There are those for whom the fundamental building blocks of Sociological analysis can only be individuals, others for whom they must be collectivities in The foundations of Sociology(R. Jenkins: 15). Sociology brings together a number of different viewpoints from a wide range of sociologists. Although Auguste Come was the founder of the term Sociology , a number of different Sociologists, such as Durkheim and Marx, have challenged and changed perceptions about the term. Auguste Comte (1798 1857), a French social scientist inspired by changes that the French Revolution caused, was the key founder of Sociology as a concept and classed himself at the first official sociologist . The word sociology is a simple combination of two different words: Firstly, the word socius , which has Latin origins and a direct meaning of society, association, togetherness or companionship , and Secondly, the ancient Greek word, logos, which has a literal meaning of to speak about, or a word . Therefore, Comte defined Sociology, in the simplest form, as the study of society and culture . Not only was Comte the first to give Sociology a definition but also the first to study how society worked as a system, as said by

In Necessity of Atheism Shelley argues that there is no evidence for a God based on observation or experience. This line of argument indicates the major influence of the Enlightenment philosophers on his perspective, but religion is still the main influence because his religious belief is the foundation of the writing. Religious influence on Romantic authors is further shown by Wordsworth s Ode: Intimations of Immortality. Ode: Intimations of Immortality is influenced by Wordsworth s belief in Pantheism and is demonstrated by his use of nature throughout. Pantheism is also shown when Wordsworth states that children are more pure and closer to nature than adults, but that as adults, recollection of youth can give one a closer philosophical relationship with nature. Though Shelley and Wordsworth pursued two completely different paths with their texts they both arrived at the same point, having deep personal religious beliefs that very strongly influenced their writing (James Cooper). Religion was prominent during the Romantic Era in the same way that classical mythology was important in previous era s; Romantic authors used religious imagery in the same way that they would use other ancient traditions that they no longer believed in. While it had been planned for some time, delaying the evacuation until the last moment caused the plan to fall apart quickly. Panicked South Vietnamese Army pilots began stealing Air America helicopters, picking up their families, and heading out to the flotilla at sea (Veith, 2012). The next serious issue became access to fuel. The fuel truck, which had been prepositioned for Air America s use, disappeared. It was later discovered in a impound lot with no keys (Leary Czajkowski, 2005). This meant that the only place to refuel was the naval ships parked in the South China Sea. After two or three shuttle flights from Saigon to the DAO compound, the pilots needed to fly out to sea for refuel. As the skies became clogged with US Navy, Marine, Air America, and South Vietnamese aircraft, the spaces to land became sparse. One small frigate with a tiny helipad was able to land 17 helicopters. They would push each helicopter over the side to make room for the next (Herman, 2013). As the day progressed, the navy started denying Air America pilot s requests for fuel. Low on fuel, some pilots were forced to drop their passengers and ditch the aircraft in the ocean. Others shut down and helped the deck crew push their aircraft over the side (Leeker, 2015). Many people have stories of their ancestors trying to escape poverty or unstable government, while others forebears came for the opportunity with which the United States seemed to be overflowing, and others still tell of their predecessors leaving for personal reasons, perhaps to find a family member who had left years before. For those who had fled their home countries out of fear or necessity, America was often the obvious choice for the individual or family for relocation. Ad hoc network can be easily set up due to the fact it doesn t require a centralized administrator and doesn t require a fixed network infrastructure (base station/ access point). With the creation of Ad hoc networks came the problem of secure routing protocols for this type of network. Ariadne is one the secure routing protocol which was created to improve ad hoc networking security. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Ariadne can be implemented in three ways to authenticate routing messages: sharing of secret keys between all pair of nodes, TESLA (broadcasting authentication) with sharing of secret keys, and digital signatures. Sharing secret keys between nodes requires n (n 1)/2 keys to be established in the network (Anjum, 2007), the keys can be installed by the key distribution center before message routing. This type of approach creates administrative (someone to distribute the keys) and scalability (time delay) challenges¬¬. The TESLA approach requires the same type of process as the first, but it adds a single message authentication code (MAC) to a request message, this creates a security issue when broadcasting the message where the receiver can impersonate the sender. TESLA then uses one way hash chain and clock synchronization to prevent this. The third implementation requires each node to have a set of asymmetric key and in short requires each node to have certain computational capability. The focus will be on TESLA implementation assuming each commination share a MAC key, every node has one way hash chain capability, all nodes know the authentication key of the TESLA one way key chain of every other node, and sender trust the destination source. I and my friends have participated In 2013 Istanbul Marathon too, it was a great sport experience. As I mentioned previously, many tourists that come to Istanbul usually do scuba diving. The closest place in Istanbul is Prince s islands. Many tourists who have dived out there said that the deep waters near the islands are not transparent and the visibility is not good, but some people say there are diving areas near the islands that allow to have a great experience of being under the water. Touring agencies offer many scuba diving courses for the first comers and for professionals, equipment is generally provided by trip organization. It literally took years to gather the courage necessary to bake that batch. Not since I had a secret fear of artificial colors, but because these desserts would signal a turning point in my life, hopefully for the better. To clarify, every cupcake stood marked with a character which spelled out two miniature but empowering words that read, I m gay . Being a child of two ministers, my family has experience working with small businesses and ministries, for our church was small. Unfortunately, things did not work for our church, so we had shut down. My family then attended Family Christian Center (FCC) in Munster, Indiana. FCC is a mega church with fancy lighting, a ginormous stage, and large screens. The pastor of the church had great illustrated messages. I attended Two52 Youth Culture, FCC s youth ministry. There I met Sade. Everyone enjoyed her company she always had a positive attitude. She helped those dealing with depression, substance abuse, dysfunctional households and financial hardships the same problems she went through as a teen. She led youth meetings on Tuesdays in which anyone can learn theater and dance. We would meet in a cafeteria and have a brief bible study accompanied with short skits, then followed by snacks and practice. Sade also wanted us to show our talent beyond Two52, so she started a pop out team. We visited malls and danced amid the crowds. Johnny, a teen guitarist serenaded strangers while the rest of us pass out flyers. Sade shared dream of owning a business. She wanted a center where teenagers learn all about the Arts. She talked about having art classes, drum sessions, guitar lessons, photography, and of course, drama and theater practice. Everyone

For the longest time I did not identify as any certain or specific religion and when asked I would simply state how I was not a religious person. It was not until high school when I discovered the religionof Agnosticism. In our English class we had to research different religions and our group received Agnosticism. Before then I had never heard of that religion, but after learning about Agnosticism it pretty much summed up how I feel and what I believe about God and religion. Basically Agnosticism entails that the person believes that the existence of God is uncertain and claims neither a faith nor a disbelief in God. I feel like this religion perfectly sums up how I feel when it comes to my faith and ideas about God and just religion as a whole. Since I am not a religious type of person, the idea of me choosing another one that I would be a part of seems like a difficult task. When I do think about the various religions that I have studied, written, and read about during the course of this semester there is one that stands out to me. If I had to choose another religion to join instead of my own, I would join Buddhismbecause their fundamental principles and values are those that I can agree with and their ultimate purpose in life is something I can see myself believing in as well. To begin, in the Buddhist religion there are various principles and

Imperialism is the act of one country expanding its power to other territory in order to colonize and gain resources, economy, knowledge, and control. European countries with strong militaries used Imperialism in order to achieve these goals but caused consequences in the long term. Africa, China, And India were imperialized by European countries due to the cheap labor, raw resources, research opportunities, and consumers available but this was greeted with many rebellions, many deaths, unfair treaties, and spreading of technology and knowledge from one country to the next. European powers wanted to colonize in Africa due to cheap labor and raw resources available which led to many enslaved people brutally dieing and territory being dispersed between other countries. The resources found in Africa were diamonds, jewels, and copper which were being mined out by the native enslaved people. Ivory and hides of animals were popular for colonists to have. Normal citizens of tribes were dieing due to forced labor and native animals were dying due to hunting. Social workers have a professional and moral duty to ensure that services are provided to those who most need it. The duty that Social workers have toward Refugees and asylum seekers, particularly children is strong but not often met. People s wellbeing is a key ideal within social work and is strongly represented within the Care Act 2014, the earlier Children s Act 2004 is also clear on the protection of children s rights in the UK. In the essay there will be a discussion on how in some areas the statute is not strong enough to allow Social Workers to work properly, but also how there needs to be changes regarding social work focus on refugees. Recently, United Nations Children s Fund (UNICEF) has campaigns to help reform the UK s current law on family. The law only recognises parents or spouses and civil partners as family. A child refugeemay have an older sibling, or more extended family such as an uncle but they would not be allowed into the country under the Family Reunion rules. The dangers for children trying to reach family in the UK are high and it leaves them at risk of exploitation, 78% of adolescents face some form of exploitation whilst travelling the Central Mediterranean route to Europe, UNICEF (2017). Social Workers have a duty here to protest the UK s laws, and the decision of the Government not to join the EU s relocation scheme for Refugees. They did

The Origin Of The Word Nano 1.1 Introduction Nanotechnology, the term derived from the Greek word nano, meaning dwarf, applies the principles of engineering, electronics, physical and material science, and manufacturing at a molecular or submicron level. The materials at nanoscale could be a device or a system or supramolecular structures. Earlier Albert Franks defined it as that area of science and technology where dimensions and tolerances are in the nano range. Nanomaterials are the most promising tool in nanotechnology that posses very unique size dependent properties that makes them superior and indispensable in many areas of human activity. In recent years, synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles have received considerable attention because of their distinctive properties and potential uses in various fields like microelectronics, photocatalysis, magnetic devices, biotechnology and biomedical fields. Various nanoformulations have already been studied and applied as drug delivery systems with great success and they still have greater potential for many applications like drugs, antibiotics, protein delivery, imaging techniques, anti tumour therapy and as a carrier for Blood Brain Barrier (BBB) crossing (Yezhelyev, 2006; Chen, 2013; Naahidi, 2013). Nanoparticles provide massive advantages regarding drug targeting, controlled release and can be combined with diagnosis and other imaging therapy, hence, emerge as one of the major tools in nanomedicine (Shrivastav, 2013; Jain, 2012). 1.2

The same competition of first and third section were all white malewhich I believed that the section was too dangerous for femaleto competed. Since cowboys who dropped off from the horseback seemed painful and hurtful which was not good to women s body. In the realistic world, people tend to believe that men are stronger than women in gender role, so that women maybe too weak to handle that dangerous activity.
