Technology Student Association State Conference. The day started out with
anticipation and excitement for the competitive events held that day. The only
competitive event I was to participate in was the Electrathon race, which was

student designed go kart sized vehicles that are powered by two twelve volt
batteries. The point of the race is to see how many laps you can go in one hour on
one battery charge. Even though I was not competing in an event that morning, I still
had to dress in khaki pants, a polo shirt, and closed toed loafers to enter and attended
the conference sessions. Leaving my hotelroom and stepping onto the elevator, I was

analysis and a quantitative genetic approach on 37 years of data on a wild
population of adult female yellow bellied marmots. We demonstrate that changes in
body mass were driven by the changes in spring temperature, but contrary to any
expectations the increase in fitness was not caused by changes in temperature or body
mass. Changes in body mass are thus not directly responsible for the observed change
in population dynamic. In addition, we found a constant positive selection at the
phenotypic level on body mass, a constant heritability of fitness, and a varying (but
not trending) heritability of body mass. Our results clearly indicate that the changes
in body mass are not due to an evolutionary response, and that evolutionary dynamics

Throughout this semester we have explored a variety of cultures and the recurring
theme of pilgrimages and the storytelling of these pilgrimages. While every journey

Ethan Frome is a great book that reveals the harsh realities of failed relationships
hanging on by a thread combined with the struggle of being poverty stricken. For
my original piece, I will write a poem about Edith Wharton s failed marriage that
lasted 28 years, as if I were Edith Wharton after her divorce from Edward Wharton.
I chose to do a report on Edith Wharton because she was a female writer that
believed women were just as capable as men during a time when men were seen as
superior in every aspect to women, and also because she achieved much more than
most male writers of her time. I believe Edith Wharton s aristocratic upbringing had

The great Greek thinker Aristotle was born in 384 B.C. in Stagirus, a city in ancient
Macedonia in northern Greece. At the age of eighteen Aristotle went to Athens to
begin his studies at Plato s Academy. He stayed and studied at the Academy for
nineteen years and in that time became both a teacher and an independent researcher.
After Plato s death in 347 B.C. Aristotlespent twelve years traveling and living in
various places around the Aegean Sea. It was during this time that Aristotle was

In The Physics Aristotle deduces that there must be two main principles of change.
These principles are 1) matter and 2) form. Matter stays the same in general
composition throughout change much as a rock would stay the same even after
being broken into several small pieces. Form, however, is what changes through
various processes.
In order to prevent an infinite regression of argument, Aristotle came up with the his
famous idea of the Prime Mover, which exists outside the earth somewhere in the
heavens and is ultimately responsible for all change on earth.
Aristotle s physics separated the universe into two main areas: the terrestrial realm
and the celestial realm. The terrestrial realm was composed of the four elements:
earth, wind, water and fire, which could each be either hot, wet, dry or cold, and the
celestial realm made of ether, or what Aristotle called the quintessence.
The basic assumption of Aristotelian physics was that the natural state of terrestrial
matter is at rest, and that earth air and water would continually strive to reach their
natural place at the center of the earth unless impeded by an impenetrable surface

Jean Georges Vongerichten Despite his overwhelming name that seems to extrude
nobility and power Chef Jean Georges is a very down to earth and laid back
gentleman who collects vintage toasters. Born in the middle of March in 1957 in
