preferences. Our main question was about how the sowbugs natural diet can affect
their preference for sodium chloride also known as table salt and glucose which is

spent in each substance when in a tray with both salt and sugar on opposite sides.

was not shown.We had two main outliers in our results which were bugs two and
four. In trial two the sowbug had very strong preference towards glucose and in
trial four the sowbug had a strong preference for sodium chloride. The data

the sodium chloride but in reality while collecting data we saw a preference for
glucose, The sowbugs always went in the direction of of the glucose and showed
that they were more inclined to spend time in glucose rather than sodium chloride.
The results did not have a clear trend as we observed the five different sowbugs in
some cases the designated sowbug would be repelled by the sodium chloride or
would just continuously crawl in a figure eight formation. An outside factor that
could have had an effect on how our data came out was if the sowbugs we decided
to test had any prior exposure to the same sodium chloride or glucose we were
using, if so that could of had an effect on how they reacted to the substances, there
was no way of checking for this so our results could be skewed in that manner but we
could not say for sure.

Background: Cut and chip is a phenomena in tires that manifests itself primarily
from prolonged off road use. As the tires are used off road, the tread compound will
be cut by rocks and eventually large pieces of the tread rubber are chipped off.
Current tests involve manufacturing a series of test tires and sending them to a test
track in Texas. The tires are then run on a controlled gravel road. Each set of tires is
run for 1000 miles, 500 each day for two days. In each set of 500 miles, 100 miles are
on flint rock and 400 miles are on the highway. The tires are then ranked visually by
multiple engineers to determine which rubber compounds demonstrate the best cut

Mass Media Influence
Does mass media influence human lives so greatly that a self inflicted 48 hour free
period from the influences of mass media such as television, social media, internet,
recorded and live music such as the radio, could have a measurable effect? As my
personal journey into this experiment is laid out the conclusion will become clear.
Through removing forms of mass mediasuch as radio, television, internet and
newspapers I have learned that indeed mass media is not easy to get away from, and
it has a deep impact on mood, response, and critical thought processes. Through a 48
hour period, I consciously chose to remove all mass media influence, such as social
media, television, radio and recorded music, and in doing thus have come to some
rather startling conclusions about the severe and often silent effect that mass
media can have on our lives. This was a rather difficult task as most people never
take the time to consider where and how mass media influences our daily lives,
and how deep the impact can be. The escape from radio is difficult, the desire to
lose oneself in television after a hard day is overwhelming and the sheer amount that
we rely on social media is harder still to understand unless you do without it for a
lengthy period. While staying clear of these forms of obvious mass media such as
overt advertisements, or Facebook seemed easy enough, though one can never be
prepared to cope with the interruption of the thought processes and mood changes that
accompany this

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) concentrated on increasing the peasants
standard of living through raising the equity and equality in China. The CCP did this
through implementing three specific laws; the Marriage Law, the Compulsory
Education Law and the Land Reform Law. When Mao was seeking support from the
