2. Positioning
The types of positioning used
are low angles as showcased
here. As shown here, the male
on the screen is positioned to
the right of the screen. Close up
shots are also used as well as
high angle shots. It also shows
him positioned to the right of
the screen while he is sitting
down watching the film showing
on the mini television.

3. Lighting
The lighting shown in the opening
sequence is extremely dark. Only a few
things are visible in each frame. For
example, this mini screen displayed here.
As you can see, the area surrounding it is
completely black. This allows the audience
to really focus on what the director wants
to show. This emphasises the fact that this
is an Action-Thriller

4. Acting
The expression that the actor is
portraying may represent that he is
tired from his plane journey and
that he may be bored. It also
suggests that he’s concentrating on
something important. For example,
the launch codes shown in the
introduction.

5. Costume
The costumes the characters
portray in this sequence is
very interesting. This costume
portrayed here shows that this
person is of high importance
and also shows that he might
be the antagonist of the film.

6. Hair and makeup
The hair and makeup showed here
emphasises the fact that he is of high
importance to the film, the slicked
back hair also shows that he may be
attending an important meeting.

7. Expression
What we can gather from this photo is
that he is trying to occupy himself by
lighting a cigarette. This may also
emphasise his boredom. However this
cigarette plays a major role in this
scene as the smoke from the cigarette
hides the video player self
destructing. This suggests that he is
trying to hide something and that he
isn’t being verisimilitude.

8. Setting
The setting shows that he is either in a private
plane or in the first class section of a
commercial plane, this indicates that he is of
high importance to the film. The launch codes
shown may indicate that there will be a
climax filmed in the plane.

9. Props
The props included are firstly, a
cassette player, the film that the
cassette player is showing as
well as his cigarette. These props
are important as they set up for
the story for the rest of the film.
