Method of teaching- lecture is the most common method of teaching. It is effective for imparting knowledge up to comprehension level but less effective for higher cognitive levels.
There are different types of teaching methods which can be categorised into three broad types. These are teacher-centred methods, learner-centred methods, content-focused methods and interactive/participative methods.
Teaching is uncertain and interactional. Part of teaching well is using a combination of ones own talents, insights, skills, and professional judgments to encourage students learning and development. It is a very humanistic profession, and compassion is the utmost feeling of understanding, and showing others you are concerned about them. A compassionate teacher models that characteristic to the students with her/his actions, and as a result students will be more open to understanding the world around them. Teaching is difficult partly because classrooms are complex. First, teachers are required to serve in several roles. They need to serve as advocate, instructor, observer, evaluator, coach, activities director, supply master, tech support, and confidante, for instance. In their varied roles, teachers make many decisions about different kinds of issues. Teachers make hundreds of decisions per day. They need to think about students safety, their learning, and their other needs simultaneously, all while they also consider their own personal and professional issues. J. Instructional Materials Development & Evaluation-PPT-1.pptxJustinEmbalzado
Instructional materials development (IMD) and evaluation are intertwined processes crucial for effective learning. This vast subject encompasses various aspects, and providing a truly exhaustive description would be monumental.
Remember, IMD and evaluation are iterative processes. By focusing on effective development, rigorous evaluation, and continuous improvement, you can create high-quality instructional materials that support meaningful learning for diverse audiences.
This paper presents the outcomes of research aiming at implementing some concepts of blended learning in different Brazilian school contexts. Although different definitions for blended learning can be found in the literature, all of them generally share the convergence of two learning models: the face-to-face model, in which the process takes place in the classroom, as it has been done for some time, and the online model, which uses digital technologies to promote education. The main focus of blended learning is that teachers and students teach and learn at different times and places. Thus, we can consider that both learning environments, that is to say, the traditional classroom and the virtual learning environment are gradually becoming complementary. This is most probably because, in addition to using various digital technologies, the individual interacts with the group at different times and places, intensifying the exchange of experiences

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
3. Knowledge becomes a function of how the individual creates
meaning from his or her experiences; it is not a function of what
someone else says is true." (Jonassen, 1995)
"
4. Teacher Recommendations on an online course
Teacher must do an universal design of the course considering
different types of learning as well as capabilities. Is better since the
beginning than to consider doing during the course.
Teacher must show availability to the learner to clear out doubts,
questions, find new resources; in case that the ones planned out
on the course are not working on a particular learner style. To
plan ahead can turn to a great help in the process.
5. Good Environment:
The teacher must provide the elements required in order to promote an
environment of interaction among the students and the teacher, communication
back and forth (feedback).
Enough consulting resources, information appliances to reach out the tasks
assigned in the lesson plan for all type of students including with certain disability.
With the aim that the learner feels confident with the teacher back up and support
in order to solve different problems on the way to carry on the activities. The
learner must feel accompanied by the teacher throughout the course development.
6. Role of the teacher:
Teacher must be a guide and a provider of
knowledge to make this unknown world accessible for
everyone.
7. Recommendations for the LEARNER:
1)
The student must be organized in time and space.
2)
The ones that study on line must have some limitations but everything
can be work out using prior knowledge as a propeller to achieve the
new goal. Look for other resources to complement.
3) In order to continue receiving the benefits of studying on line the student
must carry a method and find the most confortable way to continue learning
in a new environment of information and communication.
