A 49-year old female presented with right flank pain and giddiness due to a ruptured large renal angiomyolipoma. Imaging showed active contrast extravasation and a pseudoaneurysm in the right kidney. The patient underwent selective renal arteriography which identified the bleeding site, followed by embolization using polyvinyl alcohol particles which successfully occluded the pseudoaneurysm and angiomyolipoma. Renal artery embolization is an effective treatment for ruptured renal angiomyolipomas as it causes regression of the tumor and stops bleeding.
