We use nosotros commands when we say
“let’s + verb”.
Let’s eat out tonight.
Let’s watch a movie.
In Spanish you will use the nosotros form of
the subjunctive to do this.
Comamos algo más tarde.
Miremos esa película ahora.
No nos levantemos temprano mañana.
Ir
0 The affirmative command is irregular. Instead of the
subjunctive, just use the present tense…
Vamos ahora. (Let’s go now.)
0 However, the negative form does use the subjunctive.
No vayamos al partido. (Let’s not go to the match.)
0 Like other commands, you may need to add an accent
mark when attaching pronouns to the end of
affirmative commands. Also, you will need to drop the
‘s’ of the command when attaching ‘se’ or ‘nos’.
Sentémonos. (Sentemos –’s’ + “nos”)
(Let’s sit down.)
Mandémosela. (Mandemos –’s’ + se + la)
(Let’s send it to him/her/them.)
