This document discusses nonverbal communication and its types. Nonverbal communication involves sending and receiving wordless messages through vocal qualities, touch, physical distance, and environment. The main types of nonverbal communication are haptics (touch), gestures, facial expressions, vocalics (paralanguage), and proxemics (use of space). Nonverbal communication represents two-thirds of all communication and is an important part of both social and professional life, helping to express power, control and convey 93% of a message's meaning.
