Research into documentaries - double page spreads

2. As you can see there is a centre article with a variety of different articles on the side of it.
This shows that there can be more than one article on the double page spread; however,
these articles relate to the subject of the centre article so that means if my article would look
like this there would need to be articles around that are related to my documentary. It would
also be a different format because the article for mine is going to be advertising a new
documentary where this double page spread is showing an article about politics.

3. As you can see there is a centre article with a variety of images around the article and the
main image of the woman is also on the article as well. On the right hand side there are also
two short articles but don’t relate to the main article. This shows that there can be more
than one article on the double page spread; however, these articles don’t relate to the
subject of the centre article so it shows that they aren’t as important as the main article but
are there to fill in the gaps and so I wouldn’t necessarily use this method because I am just
going to be talking about my documentary. It would also be a different format because the
article for mine is going to be advertising a new documentary where this double page spread
is showing an article about an ex-model.

4. As you can see there is a main article that is in front of a main image that is used as a
background because there is also the headline and other images and quotes in front of it as
well. This shows that there can be more images and writing to cover the double page as it
fits on as much as it can because with the left hand third article as well linking to the story it
shows that it is an important article and needs to be read by everyone. My documentary
would be quite similar to this because it is nice and basic but yet attracts the reader
immediately; with the big headline and the image.

5. As you can this double page spread has a big image covering the whole of the double page
spread with just a headline and a sub headline. This shows that it is important as they use
the image and the headline to attract the reader because it is short and simple which means
that it will interest the reader as they would just look at what it says and be immediately
attracted to it. It advertises a match more than talking about it and so it makes the reader
want to watch the game so they know what the outcome would be. This is different to what I
want to do because this doesn’t have an article in and so it wouldn’t explain my
documentary and wouldn’t tell the audience enough information about it.
