Summary of Unit Have groups of students design a new sport from scratch. They create there own rules and implement any equipment they see fit.
Role of the TeacherThe role of a teacher should be as a mediator. The teacher should help students who have questions and also assess how each student is progressing through their work and their projects.
Role of the ParentParents should make sure their children are doing there school work and are doing well in school. Parents should keep in contact with their children’s teachers especially if that child has a discipline problem. Also, parents should also actively help there children with projects at home and instill the importance of education for the child’s future.
Role of the StudentA student must take responsibility for his work and his actions in school. It is important for a student to realize his/her weaknesses and find out ways to overcome them or improve them. Students must also find ways to stay motivated in order to complete their work.

QuestionsWhat is Project-Based-Learning?It is any type of learning that involves hands-on experience with solving problems in there respective subjects. Most of these projects involve group teamwork to be able to effectively discover and solve there projects.How Will It Be Used?Students will complete several collaborative projects throughout the semester starting with the project described in this newsletter.
