The Pupil Connect program by Circle of Life aims to improve teacher emotional intelligence through training. It consists of both a one-day introductory workshop covering self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship skills. Alternatively, it offers a year-long series of 15 workshops delving deeper into each concept and helping teachers apply the skills in their classrooms. The program seeks to help teachers foster positive learning environments and build stronger relationships to enhance students' cognitive, social, and emotional development.

1. Pupil Connect: An Emotionally Intelligent
Teacher Training Program
Our work with teachers in schools is called Pupil Connect. It is designed and developed to
help create a school environment that fosters positive learning in an emotionally safe way.
Research shows that emotionally intelligent teachers have a greater impact on students’
academic performance and social skill. They have the ability to transform the class climate
that enhances cognitive, social & emotional development for the students.
We, at the Circle of life are committed to lay down a strong foundation for teachers to be
more productive & emotionally healthy. With higher EQ there is less teacher burn out and
decrease in stress levels. Teachers become better equipped to manage their emotions and
their students’ emotions. Their relationships with their peers and students become
healthier, leading to a positive & meaningful interaction.
Circle of life has crafted this evidence – based, yearlong & one day teacher development
program that can be easily integrated in the existing in-service teacher training. Our
approach is scientific and experiential. We collaborate with institutions to create
communities that are able to reach their full potential, combining their skill sets with EQ.
One day Pupil Connect Program
In the one day Pupil Connect workshop, teachers are introduced to four basic competencies
of E.Q., Self awareness, Self Management, Social Awareness & Relationship skills. We have
additionally added essential concepts of Positive Discipline & Classroom Management
within the E.Q framework. Throughout the workshop, the teachers are encouraged to
reflect on their learnings.

2. A yearlong Pupil Connect
A yearlong Pupil Connect program is a series of 15 workshops spread over a span of one
year. In order to make learning deeper and sustainable, we have expanded each concept.
We believe in customizing each workshop according to the requirement of the institution.
We hand hold teachers in the implementation of the E.Q learnings. We encourage teachers
to apply the E.Q learnings in their classroom settings. We help them with the difficulties
they face.
