What is newborn care ?

1. The emergency equipment for neonatal
resuscitation is to be always kept ready in
neonatal area.
2. Do not stimulate baby (Rubbing the back on
suctioning nose) if the amniotic fluid is muconium
stained.
3. If any deviation from the normal is anticipated a
neonatologist is to be informed

4 Check “APGAR” rating at one

to be clamped divided and
examined following birth of

To prevent loss of heat by
evaporation and chilling
