NCC stands for National Cadet Corps and aims to build a strong and prosperous nation through love and peace. Nation building requires cooperation between citizens and government, addressing basic problems, and serving larger purposes that citizens value. The NCC contributes to a country's progress through mutual understanding and all-round development of citizens. It has over 13 lakh cadets across 765 units and camps to develop camaraderie, adventure, and discipline.

Leadership must start small, addressing basic problems. Public
trust during a period of occupation emerges from the fulfillment of
basic needs. PURPOSE:
Small beginnings must serve larger purposes. Citizens must see the
value in what they're doing.
