INTRODUCTION OF NCC
The National Cadet Corps has established in the
University corps Which was created under the defence
Act,1917 withthe object to make upthe shortage of the
ARMY.
In 1920 Indian Territorial Act was passed. UTC(University
Training Corps)
In 1942 University Officers Training Corps (UOTC)
NCC Act of 1948. it was raised on 15 July 1948. A
committee headed by Pandit H N Kunzru
Strength has reached 13.0 lakh
Role and performance of NCC Suggestion by Dr.GS
Mahajani Committee in 1972.
In 1986 Thapan Committee, Aims and objectives
 In 1950 Air wing was added
 In 1952 Naval wing was added

aur Anushasan) is written at the bottom of the
NCC Flag.

Cadets generally take keen interest
in wpn trg and firing. Units must
liaise with nearby Service and
Para-Military Units toensure that all
cdts get an opportunity tofiretheir
authorized amn. Use of firing
simulators may be made to
optimize trg efforts where possible.
