PURPOSES OF WAR

highway, which was by Indian army in winter.
 After establish the firm base cut off
communication of Laddakh.
 Pakistan’s objective was to drive Indians out of
Siachin and highlight Kashmir issue in the eyes of
the world.

An insurgency in Indian-administered
Kashmir has been a cause for heightened
tensions.
India has also accused Pakistan-backed
militant groups of executing several terrorist
attacks across India.
India–Pakistan maritime trespassing
Frequent trespassing and violation of respective
national territorial waters of India and Pakistan
in peacetime occurs commonly by Pakistani and
Indian fishermen.
Most violations occur due to the absence of a
physical boundary and lack of navigational tools
for small fishermen.
Hundreds of fishermen are arrested by the Coast
Guards of both nations.

peacekeeping efforts ,with more than
10000 personnel deployed in 2007.
Other foreign deployment have
consisted of Pakistan military personnel
as advisor in Africa and Arab countries.

Zarb-e-azb
 On June 15 2014 operation Zarb-e-azb was started
aimed at rooting out menace of terrorism
 In these 3 years 7591 IED’s,35,310 mortar bomb
and rockets and 2481 land mines were recovered
 Troops seized about 253 tons of explosives,3500
terrorists were killed,992 hideouts were destroyed
 In achieving this 490 troops lost their lives while
2108 other were wounded.
