Our Leadership
•
The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps
with its Headquarters in New Delhi.
•
It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis.
•
A Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy, and
Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth into disciplined
and patriotic citizens.
•
The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and
parades.

Drill: Inculcates discipline, smartness,
and obedience.
Weapon Training: Teaches precision,
accuracy, and confidence.
Adventure: Trekking, parasailing, and
sports for holistic development.
Key Training Disciplines
Cadets actively engage in Social Service and Community
Development activities, fostering a spirit of selfless service. Key
activities include:

Youth Exchange Programme (YEP)

'B' Certificate Eligibility 'C' Certificate Eligibility
•
Cadet must have 75% attendance in the 1st and 2nd
year of Senior Division.
•
Must have attended one Annual Training Camp
(ATC) or National Integration Camp (NIC).
•
Candidate must be in possession of a 'B' Certificate.
•
Must be in the 3rd year of NCC Training.
•
Must have 75% attendance in the 3rd year.
•
Must have attended two ATCs or one ATC and one
other camp.
NCC Certification
Grade Marks Required
Grading 'A' Cadets obtaining 80% marks or above.
Grading 'B' Cadets obtaining 65% marks and above but below 80%.
Grading 'C' Cadets obtaining 50% marks and above but below 65%.
Fail Cadets obtaining less than 45% in any paper or 50% aggregate.
Certificate Grading System
Defence Services: 'C' Certificate holders are exempt from the UPSC written exam for officer
commissions. Reserved seats are available in IMA, OTA, Navy, and Air Force.
Other Employment: 5-10% bonus marks for recruitment in ranks (Army, Navy, AF), Para-Military
Forces (CRPF), and preference in State Services.
Scholarships: The Cadet Welfare Society (CWS) awards scholarships of Rs 6,000/-. Sahara Scholarships
also provide financial aid.
Financial Assistance: The CWS provides financial relief to cadets in case of injury or fatality during
NCC-related activities.
