The American physicist Richard Feynman lectured, "There's
Plenty of Room at the Bottom," at an American Physical Society
meeting at Caltech on December 29, 1959, which is often held
to have provided inspiration for the field of nanotechnology.
• 2000 years ago- sulfide nanocrystals uses by Greeks and romans to dye hair.
• 1000 yeas ago (middle ages) -gold nanoparticles of different sizes use to produce different
colors in stained glass windows .
• 1974- “Nanotechnology"-taniguchi uses the tem nanotechnology for the first time.
• 1981 -IBM develops scanning tunneling microscope. This microscope evolved to allow the
manipulation of individual atoms and molecules in the field of nan technology.
• 1991-carbon nanotube was discovered by s.lijima.

quantum computer technology. Nanotechnology is the development and use of techniques
to study physical phenomena and construct structures in the physical size range of 1-100
nanometers (nm), as well as the incorporation of these structures into applications.
