1. Job Roles; Camera Man
In my group I appointed myself to be the camera man, so this meant I was the one in
charge of taking all the shots for the music video ensuring the camera angles and
lighting where all checked before actually filming shots.
The main roles I had to carry out when being cameraman
• I had to make sure I knew how to use all the features on the camera
• Make sure I captured the right shots given by the director of the project
• At times bring a creative aspect with some of the shots I was taking
• To take charge of all the camera equipment
In order to take my shots I used a video capturing camera which had many different
features which allowed me to take a range of different shots.
I also used a tripod this allowed me to keep the camera still in one position and help
me take a range of shots from close ups to medium shots it also allowed to capture
panning shots really well.

2. I also used a handheld steadicam this help me to take tracking shots although it took
me a lot of practice to use it effectively as any slight movement could effect the shot
dramatically.
