2. Why I did the preliminary
task.
• By doing the preliminary task it enabled me to become familiar
with final cut pro.
• I was able to learn new skills as previously I did not know how
to use it.
• If in the future our group editor isn’t present I may be able to
take over and meet the deadline.
• By doing the preliminary task it be gave me a brief idea of how
it works in the real industry as an editor is need to make a
good film successful & to create the meaning intended.
• I was able to use a range of camera angles to create my
scenes such as behind the shoulder shot, point of view shot &
medium close up.
• I was also able to add soundtracks into the scenes & by using
the blade tool I was able to remove unwanted scenes. This
made the moving image run smoother.
3. I learnt how to use the blade tool as you can see, it allowed me to cut scenes that weren't
needed. By using the blade tool it allowed me to make the scene more edgy & give that
dramatic effect.
4. In this shot am applying ‘Earthquake effect’ to all my scenes. This made the
scenes shake without removing any parts. It gave the scenes a dramatic
effect, after watching it a couple times you would realise this wasn’t done by
using the camera but by editing it.
5. In this shot, I’m adding the non – diegetic sound to the scenes for example the
heartbeat, to create the effect that student is late and creates an atmosphere to the audience
that something might happen. I also have added breathing in & out sound effect to link
with the point of view shout, to show the audience that he is tired and exhausted.
6. In this shot, I’m applying credits to the end of the of my short moving image.
As every moving image has credits to show the audience who edited it, who
directed it & who produced it. As some people may watch videos depending
on who the director is or how successful he is.
