1. Looking back at your
preliminary task, what do
you feel you learnt in the
progression from it to full
product?

5. After filming, we had to edit
our preliminary product and
this is when I was first
introduced to Final Cut.
Previously I had been
exposed to other editing
tools on windows but using
Final Cut was an upgraded
tool used to make small
productions.
On Final Cut I learnt
how to cut/delete
shots, so that the
transitions between
the scenes were
smooth. Due to my
inexperience I didn’t
really focus on jump
cuts and adding
other components
such sound and
credits.
6. Before filming, we didn’t focus
on factors like mise-en-scene
in too much detail instead we
focused on how we could
portray our small project as
realistic. We used a short
script, giving insight into the
kind of genre we were looking
at. Whereas, in my final
product we focused on mise-
en-scene a lot, by making
sure we choose specific
outfits to represent our
characters.
Overall, my knowledge of cameras
and editing footage has increased
and I am happy with the final
product because I was able to
convey many creative ideas.
