My Music Video Evaluation
I feel that my final music video draft did not come out as I wanted it to. The shots that I
wanted to get didn’t work the way I wanted them to which made my video look a little poor.
If I was to do my music video again I would choose a different song. I feel the song that I
chose was difficult to work with.
The performance side of my music video was hard to do as I had to sing for it and I felt
uncomfortable doing it in front of a camera. This made it hard to get decent shots, which
affected the way they came out. It was really hard to get professional looking shots without
really good music equipment and instruments.
Researching for the music video was easier than producing it, because I already had in mind
what type of video I wanted to do. I knew what type of videos to look at and how I wanted
to imitate what they did in mine.
Finding the location was tough because we wanted to film in a location that looked cut of
and isolated, eventually we agreed on a location but I feel like there was better places to be
filmed.
Over all I would say the filming side of the production was defiantly more difficult than
editing as trying to get professional looking shots with only a little experience was hard.
When it came to editing I found it to be easier than I though. Although the shots I had
weren’t the ones I was hoping for I enjoyed cutting clips together and trying to match it the
best I can to the music.
