Gon is a child who is eager to join the league of hunters to find his dad. The manga Hunter x Hunter starts out fairly happy as it follows Gon's story, but takes a darker turn after he enters the exam to become a hunter. The plot is highly rated because it gets darker as the characters develop, showing real change. The author plans to base their art work on Hunter x Hunter and Tokyo Ghoul, creating a main character like Gon combined with a mask from Tokyo Ghoul in their own style.

For secondary research I’m going to analyse manga that I have, which is
Hunter x Hunter. This manga is one of my favourites as it starts of fairly
happy, as the plot follows the story of Gon, a child who is eager to join the
league of hunters so he can find his dad.
The first few pages of manga are mostly character development and
introductions. After that there is the exam needed to enter the hunters, as
soon as this exam starts the feel of the manga changes and becomes a lot
darker.
The one thing that makes the plot of this manga rated one of the best and
most popular because of the way it gets darker as the character does, so
you get a real sense of change.
The manga follows tradition as it is in black and white and is back to front. Out of all the
manga I have read this is one that I will most likely try and base my art work of, this as well
as Tokyo ghoul. I will most likely base my main character of Gon and use the mask of Tokyo
ghoul, but add my own style to it.
