Mastery: Personal Development and
Leadership
Goal:
• To fully understand and apply what it means to be a master and how it shapes my
personal development in the entertainment field.
Strategies:
• Begin applying the principles in Robert Greene’s book Mastery in my own journey
• Create a strategic plan that outlines my mastery journey through long and short
term goals
Executive Leadership
Goal:
• Gain an understanding of leadership styles and trends in the industry that will
allow me to become an effective leader.
Strategies:
• Read books on leadership from leaders in the Entertainment industry as well as
other prolific leaders that have proven successful in leadership
• Use the EBSCOhost database to research different leaders in the industry
• Consult with leaders in the industry and follow their journey
Project and Team Management
Goals:
• Learn how to successfully manage projects as well as a full team effectively
Strategies:
• Utilize Lynda.com as a resource to review project management
• Subscribe and listen to the project management podcast on Feedly.com
Business Storytelling and Brand
Development
Goal:
• Learn how to build a brand that will help establish my presence in the industry
Strategies:
• Start branding myself and my business using the tools outlined in the class
• Use story boards to develop the initial stories that I can use to build my brand
• Research storytelling and brand management on Business Source Complete

Entertainment Business Finance
Goal:
• Learn how to accumulate and manage business finances
Strategies:
• Create a business financial plan including a budget
• Start with a financial analysis of where I am and projections on how to get where I
need to be
