compared to unilateral cochlear implants in regards to speech perception in noise.
Forty young adults participated in this study. Twenty subjects were bilateral cochlear
implantusers (CI CI) and the other 20 subjects were unilateral cochlear implant users
(CI Only). Both groups were administered two speech perception in noise tests to
determine the efficacy of having two cochlear implants versus one. The results of this

Project Introduction 1.1Problem Summary
The project is for limiting the speed of the vehicles running on the road. In day to
day life people ride their vehicles at very high speed without caring for the speed
limit fixed by the government for the particular road on which they are travelling.
This gives rise to huge number of accidents. The whole control system consists of
frequency receiver, speed sensing element, microcontroller and some modification in
wiring with relay which is described above. On every road, some speed limit is
already decided by the government which should be strictly followed by the
vehicle s driver. The limited speeds may be 20 kilometer per hour, 40 kilometer per
hour, 60 kilometer per hour, 80 kilometer per hour or any other speed limit. The
number of speeds to be limited may be any as per government decision. For every
speed limit an unique frequency will be allotted. The frequency transmitters will be
placed at certain interval of distance so that the whole road is covered with the
frequency being transmitted and the circuit can receive the frequency.
Suppose the maximum speed allowed on the road is X kilometer per hour then on
this road F1 frequency will be transmitted. Whenever the frequency receiver receives
this F1 frequency, then it will send a signal to the microcontroller and this signal
will be compared with the signal received from the speed sensing element which

A Cynics Enlightenment
Raymond Carver s short story Cathedral is outwardly about a pessimistic man,
whose wife s blind visitor named Robert changes the narrators predisposing
perception of the world and awakes a new view on life in the process. But inwardly,
the story is about the desperate need for connection between these three characters,
which isn t feasible do to the emotional detachment by the narrator. In the beginning,
the narrator is hindered by his prejudices which doesn t allow him connect to
anything greater than himself. But with the help of the blind man who is able to see
the greater truth, since he s incapable of having his perception distorted based on
outer appearance; allows him to teach the narrator the difference between looking

The Cathedral defines what it really means to be blind . First, being the blind man

abstract or open ended meaning. Many people find different meanings in the story,
and the debate over what certain elements mean has been a point of contention

and domestic water supply for people living in and around the area. The present
study was conducted to assess the organic pollution indicators like BOD, COD
and DO. The sampling of water was based on human and aquatic activities around
the lake. Water from five sampling stations of Varhala Lake was monitored for
seasonal variations from May 2011 to April 2012. The BOD was positively
correlated with COD of 0.609, as both are the products of oxidation. The
correlation between DO and BOD, gave a negative relationship of 0.517 between

The Gi Bill And How It Effected Student Equity
Introduction Prior to this assignment student veterans were a portion of the student
population that I had no prior experience or knowledge of interacting with outside
the scope of my history of higher education course reviewing the components of the
GI Bill. The assignment allowed me to get an in depth historical analysis of the GI
Bill and how it effected student equity in higher education from its establishment. I
have come to understand the services students veterans possess but as well as some
of the limitations they face being advocates for themselves in order to receive their
benefits. In revolving around the topic of student equity, my team s research found a
wealth of knowledge from higher education scholars who see the need of the GI Bill
in further providing student equity to student veterans. Scholars saw the important
qualities that the GI Bill possess and advocated for further services in assisting
student veterans and their families in not only understanding their medical benefits
but also create a supportive community on campus. The overall goal of researching
the GI Bill and by doing so includes student veterans is that the bill provides equitable
support to returning students that have served, support for dependents of those who
serve(d), and the growing student population student veterans are becoming through

The Role Of Heteronormativity In New Girl
Heteronormativity is when heterosexuality believed to be the only natural norm in
our society for sexual orientation. New Girl , an American sitcom, aired in 2011 on
Fox, follows Jess (Zooey Deschanel) as she lives in a loft in Los Angeles with three
men she meets on Craigslist. The second episode of the second season is what will
be focused on in this essay. During which Jess meets a stranger when he
accidentally mistakes her for his blind date, Nick (Jake Johnson) believes he has
met his future self, and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) tries to make a good impression
on Winston s (Lamorne Morris) mom and sister. The writers of New Girl follow
basic genderroles within the story lines of the television show. The show follows a
heteronormative plot. Through examining New Girl , a viewer can see the issues
arise when considering the portrayal of men and women in media, and
heteronormativity in television shows.
Within television, there is often a sense of heteronormativity that is shown through
heterosexual relationships and a lack of representation of LGBT+ community. While
New Girl has four main characters, all who have active social/sexual lives, all are
interested in the opposite sex. In fact, there is not even talk about any sexual
orientation other than being attracted to the opposite sex. As Jess is juggling two
