Materials include an open field (OF) apparatus with a 6x6 grid drawn on the inside. Three objects, a
coca cola can, a plastic cylindrical container with rocks inside, and a plastic bear shaped bottle were

One of the biggest change I made was changing the narrator of the story. I decided to change it to a
third person narrator to give myself more flexibility in terms of description because I felt like the first
person narrator limited what I was able to describe. However, writing in the third person also proved
to be challenging. The different POV changed the tone and voice of the story. Plus I couldn t decide on
which girl was the main protagonist of the story. As I delved into both girls mind through third person

For one to fully appreciate the concept of a multiage classroom and the process of looping, one must
understand first what it is, secondly, why it is, and thirdly, how it works. Understanding of what
multiage classrooms and looping are is due in large part to veteran and proactive teachers willing to
mix old school teaching styles with today s learners and methods. The idea of a multiage classroom
and the concept of looping are directly related to the classic 19th century setting of a one room school
house (Aina, 2001). In a one room school house, a single teacher was responsible for educating an
entire town s children, all of which varied in ages, grade levels, and abilities. Providing the teacher
remained unmarried or worked in a town where a married teacher was permitted to teach, children
often returned to the school house each year to the same teacher. This is where the concept of looping

Tennyson is known for his word paintings the use of words that conjure pictures. Word paintings,
according to Benjamin are produced by the imagination and by certain tricks of light and colour which

consist of metaphors and similes, and noun phrases that contain colour and sensory adjectives and
adverbs. Some examples from TLE (1969/1987, p. 469) that are instances of figurative language

Eighth Grade Theme Song Essay Ride Close to the end of my eighth grade year at Minnetonka Middle
School East I was given the task to find a song with lyrics that could be the theme song to my eighth
grade year. After going through a bunch of songs and reading all of the lyrics I think I chose a song
that fit what I was looking for. I chose the song Ride by 21 Pilots for the theme song of my eighth

I think these lyrics represent my year very well because I over thought a lot of stuff throughout the
year. I also think this line of lyrics is similar to the first set of lyrics that I chose. For example on pretty
much every test I took during the year I would always over think and second guess myself on the
answer I put. So, that would result in me either getting the question wrong or just getting very stressed
and worrying about the grade I got on the test. I would worry and overthink the test or project for as
long time until finally the grade was put into skyward. Also, if I got a grade on a test, project,

According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, a rescuer is a person that saves someone or
something from a dangerous, harmful, or difficult situation. In the documentary, The Power of Good,
Nicholas Winton, a British humanitarian, organized the transport and rescue of Jewish children from
Czechoslovakia right before World War II. This operation was later known as the Czech
Kindertransport. Another historical figure who saved people from harm was Harriet Tubman, an
African American abolitionist who led enslaved people to freedom along the Underground Railroad, a
vast network of meeting places, secret routes, passageways and safe houses used by slaves in the U.S.

Rather than staying in the safety of the North, Tubman made it her mission to rescue other slaves from
bondage. However, in 1850, the Fugitive Slave Law was passed that stated that escaped slaves could
be captured in the North and be returned to slavery. This made Tubman re routed the Underground
Railroad to Canada, which prohibited slavery. These journeys were usually during the winter months
to minimize the likelihood of being seen. Tubman also carried a rifle for protection and to ensure that
her escapees would not lose their nerve. From 1850 to 1860, Tubman rescued an estimated 70 slaves
in thirteen expeditions and gave an additional 50 to 60 fugitives successful instructions on how to
escape, earning her the nickname the Moses of the Underground Railroad. Nicholas Winton s rescue
missions were very different than those of Harriet Tubman. In December 1938, Winton visited a friend
who was working with primarily Jewish, Czechoslovakian refugees in Sudetenland, the western area
of Czechoslovakia under German control, when he heard that there were no organizations to deal with
refugee children. He began writing letters asking governments to help these children, but only Britain
and Sweden agreed to support him. Winton, along with some volunteers, forged travel documents,
arranged foster parents for the children, and paid out of pocket for the transportation. The children
boarded trains from Prague, Czechoslovakia across Germany to the Atlantic Coast. Then, they were
transported across the English Channel to Britain where foster parents waited to pick up the children.
After the children arrived in Britain, Winton had no contact with them. His rescue efforts ended on
September 1, 1939, after Germany invaded Poland and closed off all borders under German control,

were no exception. The Price family consists of Mr. and Mrs. Price and their four girls, Leah, Rachel,
Ruth May, and Adah. The conflicts between the Price children and their parents, particularly their
father, are obvious and frequent. Leah, the oldest of the four girls, and her father have a very patchy
relationship. It is not just Leah who has a problem with most of her father s opinions. All four of the
children have many negative feelings towards their controlling father. Throughout the whole novel,
Mr. Price acts very selfishly. The stressful move to Africa did not relieve his self centered ways. He
moved his family across the Atlantic Ocean and into a very different lifestyle than the one in which
they had currently been living. This was a very conceited act. Not only is Nathan greedy, he is also
stubborn as a mule. It s hard to imagine a mortal man more unwilling to change his course than
Nathan Price (Page 96). This is a problem for the entire family. His headstrong personality puts his

The purpose of this experiment is to examine the stoichiometric relationship between reagents and the
identity of the products by using three acid/base neutralization reactions of a triprotic acid, phosphoric
acid, and varying molar equivalents of sodium hydroxide. The data will be used to determine the
formula weight of the products and identify the remaining salt for all three reactions.

In this experiment, we learned about stoichiometry, empirical formula, molecular formula, polyprotic
acids and bases, metathesis reactions, and moles.
Stoichiometry is a very important part of chemistry. Stoichiometry refers to calculating the masses of
molecules and their products . The reactants are usually given and stoichiometry is used to find the
products of the equations as well balancing the equation. An example of this would be sodium
chloride (NaCl). Stoichiometry will say that if there are ten thousand atoms of sodium and one atom
of chlorine, only one molecule of sodium chloride can be made and that fact can never be changed.

Their findings showed that fast falling snow could occur on cold nights. Unlike on Earth when water
ice particles grow into the snow and then fall, low temperature cool water ice clouds, creating strong
winds that push water ice crystals toward the ground, creating fast falling snow.

scientists to continue researching. Each statement was backed up with enough scientific evidence for a
reader to understand the purpose of the article. For example, she broke down how the snow being able

or qualitative data because all the data was research based and no need for statistical analysis. I don t
believe Yeager could ve done anything else to make this article better. She provided enough
information to support her objective while still allowing the research to continue for other scientists. A

After rereading through Stonehouse and The Child in the Bible I have chosen six biblical
teachings/themes that I believe are important and essential for my future ministry. The six themes
includes: Children are a gift from God, God sees children as blessings, children need to be taught how
