2. GENERAL CONCEPT
The general concept of this video is the idea that the girl in the video is driving in
her car when she sees someone who we later see to be her boyfriend and he is a
bad influence on the girl. After this we learn that the boy is actually in her
imagination and he is someone that she wishes was there but isn’t.
3. OPENING SCENE
The opening of this music video is not something that me and Jesse are going to
take inspiration from in our video because it takes around 53 seconds for the song
to start. The time before this is just the the girl picking up the boy in her car.
4. INTERTEXTUALITY
• The cross reference between is shown in this because although the band is
English and is filmed in england, the actual video has connotations and effects of
an American roadtrip. It could also be said that the couple in the video have
similarities to Bonnie and Clyde because of the danger they are in.
5. CLOSE UPS
Close ups are used in this video to show emotions throughout. It also gives the
audience a feel into the real reactions of the character. This is something me and
jesse have discussed using in our video.
6. TONES
Warm and cool tones are used in this video creatively to show off the mood of the
scene. The warm tones are used to show happier times that reflect the characters
mood at that time and the cold tones which have a strong blue undertone are used
when the mood is more sad/negative. This is something me and jesse are very keen
on using in our own video.
