Introduction
• MULTIPLEX-
A very large cinema building that has a lot of separate cinemas
inside it.
• Need in Design-
This is a place where a person of any age will come and
entertain himself by watching movie on a big screen with
good audio quality. As per client’s requirement the
footfall inside metro gone improve by it, because a
person who live near the Jaipur city can easy to access
this place by using metro.
Some Standards
• The centre of the projected beam should not deviate
more than 5 degree horizontally and vertically.
• Projector Room - 1m space behind the projector and
at the operating side, 2.80m high.
• The angle from the middle of the last row of seats to
the outer edge of the picture should be at most 38
degree for cinemascope.
• Minimum distance of projection screen from the wall
is 120 cm and the lower edge of screen should be at
least 120 cm above the floor.
• The auditorium should have no outside light other than
emergency lighting.
• Walls and ceiling are made from non reflective materials.
• No bright colors have to use inside the auditorium.
• The viewing angle from the first row of seats to the centre of
the picture should not exceed 30 .
• The floor gradient is achieved by an inclination of up to 10%.
• Steps with a maximum step height of 16 cm and with aisle
widths of 1.20 m.
• Car Parking Space- normally one per 5-10 spectators.
• Min. 0.65 sqm floor area for a person seating inside the box
room.
