Automatic power factor_improvement_and_monitoring_by_using_plc[1]ferozpatowary
This document describes a project to implement automatic power factor improvement and monitoring using a programmable logic controller (PLC) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. A group of six students will connect capacitor banks in parallel with various loads to correct low power factors. A PLC will control the capacitor banks based on power factor measurements from a power meter. The students will design input and output modules for the PLC, develop ladder logic programming, and create a SCADA model for monitoring. The goal is to develop a low-cost automated system using PLC and SCADA to replace manual power factor correction methods. This will improve efficiency in industrial plants by maintaining a high power factor near unity.
RELIABILITY EVALUATION OF A WIND POWER PLANT IN THE MID REGION OF KARNATAKA S...IRJET Journal
This document discusses reliability evaluation of a wind power plant in Karnataka, India using MATLAB. The goal is to develop a simplified method to assess the reliability of electric power output from a wind energy conversion system (WECS). WECS output is variable depending on wind speed and mechanical failures can occur. The method calculates four variables using a reliability model: wind availability factor, constant power output factor, variable power output factor, and mechanical failure factor. These factors account for parameters like tower height, turbine design, and wind speed distribution. MATLAB is used to plot sensitivity graphs of important parameters.
The document is a safety module that provides instruction on basic safety practices and requirements for construction workers. It covers topics like establishing a safety culture, hazard identification, fall protection, electrical safety, confined spaces, and more. The module includes objectives, descriptions of safety concepts and regulations, performance tasks, and figures illustrating proper safety procedures. The overall goal is to educate workers about common hazards and how to work safely according to OSHA standards in the construction industry.
The document summarizes a student project to design a vehicle-to-grid (V2G) system integrating Brookhaven National Laboratory's (BNL) solar grid with electric vehicle charging stations. The project was supported by various programs including CSTEP and LSAMP. The students researched V2G systems and designed modifications to make BNL's electric vehicles compatible. Their proposed system would use the electric vehicles to store excess solar energy and provide it back to the grid when solar supply is low. Future work will include installing and testing the system.

Electric vehicle and photovoltaic advanced roles in enhancing the financial p...IJECEIAES
Climate change's impact on the planet forced the United Nations and governments to promote green energies and electric transportation. The deployments of photovoltaic (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) systems gained stronger momentum due to their numerous advantages over fossil fuel types. The advantages go beyond sustainability to reach financial support and stability. The work in this paper introduces the hybrid system between PV and EV to support industrial and commercial plants. This paper covers the theoretical framework of the proposed hybrid system including the required equation to complete the cost analysis when PV and EV are present. In addition, the proposed design diagram which sets the priorities and requirements of the system is presented. The proposed approach allows setup to advance their power stability, especially during power outages. The presented information supports researchers and plant owners to complete the necessary analysis while promoting the deployment of clean energy. The result of a case study that represents a dairy milk farmer supports the theoretical works and highlights its advanced benefits to existing plants. The short return on investment of the proposed approach supports the paper's novelty approach for the sustainable electrical system. In addition, the proposed system allows for an isolated power setup without the need for a transmission line which enhances the safety of the electrical network

Blood finder application project report (1).pdfKamal Acharya
Blood Finder is an emergency time app where a user can search for the blood banks as
well as the registered blood donors around Mumbai. This application also provide an
opportunity for the user of this application to become a registered donor for this user have
to enroll for the donor request from the application itself. If the admin wish to make user
a registered donor, with some of the formalities with the organization it can be done.
Specialization of this application is that the user will not have to register on sign-in for
searching the blood banks and blood donors it can be just done by installing the
application to the mobile.
The purpose of making this application is to save the user’s time for searching blood of
needed blood group during the time of the emergency.
This is an android application developed in Java and XML with the connectivity of
SQLite database. This application will provide most of basic functionality required for an
emergency time application. All the details of Blood banks and Blood donors are stored
in the database i.e. SQLite.
This application allowed the user to get all the information regarding blood banks and
blood donors such as Name, Number, Address, Blood Group, rather than searching it on
the different websites and wasting the precious time. This application is effective and
user friendly.
Applications of artificial Intelligence in Mechanical Engineering.pdfAtif Razi
Historically, mechanical engineering has relied heavily on human expertise and empirical methods to solve complex problems. With the introduction of computer-aided design (CAD) and finite element analysis (FEA), the field took its first steps towards digitization. These tools allowed engineers to simulate and analyze mechanical systems with greater accuracy and efficiency. However, the sheer volume of data generated by modern engineering systems and the increasing complexity of these systems have necessitated more advanced analytical tools, paving the way for AI.
AI offers the capability to process vast amounts of data, identify patterns, and make predictions with a level of speed and accuracy unattainable by traditional methods. This has profound implications for mechanical engineering, enabling more efficient design processes, predictive maintenance strategies, and optimized manufacturing operations. AI-driven tools can learn from historical data, adapt to new information, and continuously improve their performance, making them invaluable in tackling the multifaceted challenges of modern mechanical engineering.
