The document presents a project to modify and test a parabolic concentrator solar water distiller. A team of 5 students led by Siddharth Bhatnagar worked to automatically operate the distiller, increase its usability and efficiency, and reduce its weight. Modifications included strengthening the main frame, replacing mirrors with reflective aluminum sheets, and adding a microprocessor-controlled system with a solar panel, battery, motor and tracking connection. Testing showed usability increased 47%, efficiency increased 32%, and overall efficiency increased 23% compared to the previous design.
