A Review on Water Absorption Behavior and its Effect on Mechanical Properties...AM Publications
Composites are superior to conventional materials due to their high strength to weight ratio. Of late, because of environmental concerns, natural fibres are finding their places in composites. However, their hygroscopic nature affects the mechanical properties of the composites adversely. Applications of composites for decking, flooring and outdoor facilities have made it necessary to evaluate the water uptake characteristics of natural fibre composites. The objective of this paper is to review the water absorption behavior, its effect on mechanical properties and the efforts to reduce the absorption of various natural fibre reinforced composites.

These have three dimensional networks or scaffold which is filled with drug and porous insoluble nanoparticles with a crystalline or amorphous structure and have spherical shape or swelling properties.
Effect of vinsuperplast on the hydration study of rice husk ash blended cementeSAT Journals
Abstract
For civil engineering the basic need is to produce high quality and high strength concrete. superplasticizers are used as high range water reducer and they improve the workability of concrete and mortar. In the present work several experimental programmes have been carried out in order to study the effect of Vinsuperplast on RHA blended cement. 2% Vinsuperplast with RHA blended cement and ordinary Portland cement increases the hydration and strength of cement which was measured by consistency measurement, setting time, non-evaporable water content, and free lime determination. 20% RHA blended cement gives better results in comparison to 10% RHA blended cement. The hydration mechanism of RHA blended cement with Vinsuperplast were tried to understand by using XRD, DSC and SEM techniques.
Keywords: OPC (Ordinary Portland cement); Vinsuperplast (superplasticizer); RHA (Rice husk ash) Blended cement; XRD; SEM; DSC.

These slides use concepts (e.g., scaling) from my (Jeff Funk) course entitled analyzing hi-tech opportunities to analyze how membranes have and are becoming more economically feasible for one application, pervaporation. The economic feasibility of pervaporation is improved as temperatures and pressures of the systems are increased, which are facilitated by larger scale, and as the membranes are improved. Membranes become cheaper as they are made thinner (example of scaling) and they become better as the pore size is made both smaller and is designed for allowing specific molecules to pass through the pores.

Bio Inspired Self-Curing Composite: A Leap into Augmented EnactmentScientific Review SR
Relentless progress has been made on composite materials, their manufacturing processes and their structural design in past few decades. Nevertheless, the approval of composite materials in all engineering disciplines is constrained due to its susceptibility to various kinds of defects during manufacturing stage viz porosity, foreign body inclusion, incorrect fiber volume, bonding defect, fiber misalignment, ply misalignment, incorrect curing cycle, wavy fiber, ply cracking, delamination, fiber microstructural defects etc. Hence there was a requirement of techniques to somehow overcome these defects during the service life of composites being used in various structures and equipment. This promising field of research has made great progress over the past several years, but many procedural encounters are still to be overcome, and there exists a great need for focused research to address several areas of concern. On the other hand, nature has materials that have curing potential and repair strategies ensuring their survival. Sustained development in the field will produce new curing chemistries that possess greater stability, faster kinetics. Tailor-made placement of curing agents is dynamic research subject at the cutting edge of self-curing. New bio-imitative curing agents are closely connected to vascular networks. The purpose of this technical paper is to sort the methodology in line with ongoing research efforts in composites. A perspective on current and future self-curing approaches using this biomimetic technique is offered.
Spray Coated Nanocellulose Films Production Characterization and ApplicationKirubanandan Shanmugam
Spraying nanocellulose on a polished impermeable surface is a novel concept to produce a film which has two distinct surfaces. The spray coated surface is very smooth and replicates the nanoscale roughness from the base surface. This process reduces the operational time for film formation by one order of magnitude compared to vacuum filtration, which is the standard method. The spraying process was optimised to develop highly uniform sheets. The films were recyclable and sustainable. Spraying process has been successfully implemented to develop high performance nanocomposites for barrier applications and smooth films for electronics.

It is now-a-days very important for the people to send or receive articles like imported furniture, electronic items, gifts, business goods and the like. People depend vastly on different transport systems which mostly use the manual way of receiving and delivering the articles. There is no way to track the articles till they are received and there is no way to let the customer know what happened in transit, once he booked some articles. In such a situation, we need a system which completely computerizes the cargo activities including time to time tracking of the articles sent. This need is fulfilled by Courier Management System software which is online software for the cargo management people that enables them to receive the goods from a source and send them to a required destination and track their status from time to time.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

2. INTRODUCTION
“Distillation is an unit operation which involves separation of a
vaporizable component from a multi-component system and
subsequent condensation of vapours.”
Distillation is a process of separating the component
substances from a liquid mixture by selective evaporation and
condensation.”
“Distillation is defined as the separation of the components of
a liquid mixture by a process involving vaporization and
subsequent condensation at another place.”
2
3. Membrane Assisted Distillation
Membrane-assisted distillation is the integration of
a membrane with a distillation process, which complement each
other to achieve a defined separation task.
Hybrid separation processes combine two or more unit operation,
which contribute to given separation task by means of different
physical phenomena.
Membrane-assisted distillation processes constitute one type of
hybrid separation process.
In a membrane separation, a feed mixture flows over a membrane,
which allows to molecules to pass through membrane and some
are rejected.
3
5. Advantages of membrane assisted distillation
Membrane assisted distillation offers significant potential for
the separation of close boiling or azeotropic mixture.
In contrast to distillation, membrane separation is not limited
by vapour liquid equilibrium(VLE) and thus overcome
azeotropes and distillation boundaries.
High selectivity, low energy consumption and compact
modular design .
