The Effects Of Global Finance Crisis On Brazil s Economy
The Effects of Global Finance Crisis 2008 2009 on Brazil s Economy
While researching written articles about the effects of global finance crisis 2008 2009 on Brazil s
economy, I found numerous financial researchers that had published documentations in reference to
the impact on the Brazil economy. In addition, the banks and government interactions to the global
finance crisis 2008 2009, particularly research papers, financial journals, newspapers, pamphlets, and
brochures. The Brazil government policies deal with a less openness, and its emerging economy
enabled the country finance regulators the ability to initiate moderate banking countering measures to
the crisis. These actions taken by the Brazilian government minimized the long term impacts of the
global finance crisis 2008 2009 compared to more developed nations. My goals in this paper, is to
explore the Brazil banking finance reactions, and government regulation policies that led to mitigating
the impact of the global financial crisis of 2008 2009.
To achieve this goal, I analyzed the Brazil banking sector response to the global financial crisis effect
due to the tightening of credit and higher exchange rate. Next, I researched the impacts on the
Brazilian economy affecting its imports and exports. Thirdly, impacts on the Brazil s currency, and
lastly a conclusion on the actions and impacts of the Brazil response to the financial crisis. I also
include an appendix after the Works Cited that contains images of the

Thinking Is A Way That People Make Decisions
Thinking Thinking is a way that people make decisions. They think in black and white and don t like
the gray areas. Thinkers tend to be task oriented, brief, and businesslike (Thinking vs. feeling, n.d.).
People who prefer thinking over feeling prefer to form their opinions after thoroughly analyzing
problems. They try to understand assumptions and figure out what could be the consequences of
actions before they get to them. Their main concern is how decisions will affect the bottom line.
Thinkers like debates because they believe it brings issues to the table and the group can talk them out
and come to conclusions. They expect other people s arguments to build to a conclusion and not just
be a ramble. They try to treat everybody equally, but also use their authority when determining how
new things will be implemented (Hammer, 2015). They can come off as cold because they don t
consider other people s emotions when making decisions (Collins, n.d.). By having this kind of
outlook, it can cause many problems. Sometimes thinkers are too focused on supporting their own
position and don t listen to their colleagues. Thinkers can sometimes are too aggressive in stating their
opinions or asking questions that come off as attacking others. They can also be thought of as failing
to appreciate the hard work and effort that other people have put into projects. To help thinkers get
along and be productive in the workplace, thinkers can look for a common ground so that both sides of

Disagreement Will Be Protected By Law As Well As Organization
Disagreement will appear in every organization. How a person handled the disagreement will make a
difference in the organization. However, employees should be protected by law as well as
organization. This assignment presents several situations where liability issues can occur at any given
time. Also, this assignment identifies how the following case applies to the three scenarios: Abella v.
Simon, 831 F. Supp.2d 1316 (2011) U.S. Dist. LEXIS 136238 (S.D. Fla. 2011), and how to evade

The Merry Court says that if a false report is used in some way which damages a subject, some form
of legal right might be available, but that is not the situation in the present case. The Constitution is
not violated by a police officer s failure to make a report, the creation of an inaccurate report, or the
failure to have an inaccurate report corrected. This claim fails because there is no rights to have the
police write a police report. Courts have held that there is no legitimate right to correct police
information. An allegedly incorrect police report fails to implicate constitutional rights; Landrigan v.
City of Warwick, 628 F.2d 736, 745 (1st Cir.1980). If it is not a constitutional violation to file a false
police report, it cannot be a constitutional (as cited in Abella v. Simon, 831 F.Supp.2d 1316,

The Influence Of Corporate Lobbying In Politics
Do you feel like your vote doesn t matter? Are you dissuaded from political involvement because you
feel that you are not able to make a difference? This is a very real concern, which large portion of is
due to corporate lobbying. Corporate lobbying enables corporations to have a voice in politics, which
on some issues, sounds fair. For others however, corporations being able to buy votes acts against the
american people. Lobbying is a system of legalized corruption that must be regulated more heavily to
prevent votes being swayed away from the constituents of politicians, and toward the interests of large
corporations. With corporate lobbying being allowed in today s politics, companies have the
opportunity to use money to purchase votes. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both of these businesses have much to gain from lobbying. Big Pharma refers to the group of the
biggest pharmaceutical companies, including corporations such as Gilead Sciences, Johnson Johnson,
and Pfizer.(top 15, par 1) These companies lobby for issues pertaining to drugs, such as being against
the legalization or decriminalization of drugs. By keeping drugs such as marijuana from being used
medically, Big Pharma is able to prevent alternative treatment methods and maintain their medical
monopoly. Another heavily involved industry is Big Oil. Big Oil, like Big Pharma, is used to refer to
groups of the biggest corporations in the oil, natural gas, and coal industries. Big Oil is often the target
of scrutiny in regards to environmentalism, due to their constant attempts to prevent laws that try to
cut down on the usage of fossil fuels and natural gas from being passed. Oil companies profit heavily
from the use of lobbyists because the more regulations on non renewable resources, the less money
they are able to make. This is a good example for illustrating the ROI of lobbying, because it
illuminates the generally accepted evidence that mitigating losses is a considerably more efficient
approach to increasing profit than attempting to maximize gross

Mononucleosis Symptoms and Treatment
First seen in 1889, Mononucleosis was originally named the Drüsenfieber, or having a glandular fever.
They converted to the name we now know of mononucleosis in 1920 when they saw an increasing the
number of lymphocytes that were seen in the blood of a group of college students who showed signs
such as fevers and other distinct symptoms of this virus. Mononucleosis was nicknamed mono , is an
infectious agent caused by the Epstein Barr virus (EBV). This infection is very common especially
amongst the adolescents; another name that this virus is labeled under is the kissing disease . EBV is
scientifically classified to be a member of the herpes family of viruses. An antibody that fights EBV
can be detected in the blood streem of most people by the time arrive at adult age. When this infection
happens during childhood, the virus almost absolutely yields no symptoms. only about 10% of those
children that become infected with EBV is estimated to develop the illness. In the same inference it is
assumed that due to the developed immunity, most adults probably will not developed the illness. In
the U.S., there are up to 95% of adults ages 35 40 years that have antibodies directed against the EBV.
Unfortunately this is a clear indicator that most people have been infected with EBV at sometime in
their lives. This explain why some people are against their babies being kissed and makes you wonder

Analysis Of Nahco3 In Alka Seltzer Tablets Lab Report
What Is the Percent by Mass of NaHCO3 in Alka Seltzer Tablets?
When it comes to understanding how starting material and product effect each other, it has been
inevitably thought that the amount of starting material has always included a limiting and excess
reactant that conclusively determines the product amount. The Lab Manual stated in applicable cases,
such as buying amounts of starting material to form a certain product, could change a reaction, or have
economic effects of wasting unnecessary amounts of material, therefore, unnecessary amounts of
money.1 For instance, determining the amount of active ingredients in the fizz reaction of an Alka
Seltzer tablet is a great example to understand how much reactant is needed to cause the relief
(determined by the product) according to the Lab Manual.1 According to researcher Dr. Catherine
Chen, sodium bicarbonate is used for the acid base netrualization.2 The Lab Manual presented the
following reaction in which the active ingredient in Alka Seltzer tablets sodium bicarbonate

After the amount of carbon dioxide lost was found, stoichiometry lets the loss of carbon dioxide to
help find the amount of sodium bicarbonate reacted. Moreover, the mass of sodium bicarbonate and
the mass of the original tablet help calculate the percent by mass of sodium bicarbonate. An
observation made is that the changing amounts in each trial according to Table 1.1 show that, with
changing amounts of starting material, the mass of carbon dioxide and the mass of sodium bicarbonate
are inevitably affected. However, looking closely at Figure 1.1, the amounts of vinegar added
increased in the experiment consequently making it the excess reactant to the sodium bicarbonate
causing the graph in Figure 1.1 to level out. The tables should then show a steady increase in the
percent by mass in the tablet and the amount of carbon dioxide

Living Conditions In The Progressive Era
The Progressive movement that began in the late 1800 s and early 1900 s was an attempt to bring
about governmental reforms and to correct injustices in American life. Tired of the poor working and
living conditions, overcrowding of the cities, political corruption, and abuses by industrialists, people
took it upon themselves to try and create change. By using many forms of the media, combined with
organized protests, people exposed these issues and informed thousands of Americans of the
conditions that existed. Living conditions were poor, food safety was strictly hazardous, and child
labor played a big part in the Progressive era.
One key aspect that was discussed was living conditions in the late 1800 s and early 1900 s were poor.

Food safety in the late 1800 s and early 1900 s was hazardous, filthy, and unsanitary. The food safety
issue was not thoroughly recognized until Upton Sinclair published his book, The Jungle. The
publishing of The jungle was meant to open America s eyes to the situation of the workers in the
filthy, dangerous Chicago stockyards. Instead, it caused an outrage over the meat packaging. Within
the first few weeks of his book getting published, Theodore Roosevelt received many letters from the
public regarding that the meat packing industry should be more closely watched and regulated. In
Sinclair s book, he stated, there would be meat that had tumbled out on the floor, in the dirt and
sawdust, where the workers had tramped and spit... There would be meat stored in great piles in
rooms. This is showing that the meat was not properly taken care of and the workers simply did not
bother in trying to make it sanitary. Another piece of data that would support this would be, a man
could run his hand over these piles of meat and sweep off handfuls of the dried dung of rats. and This
was no fairy story and no joke; the meat would be shoveled into carts, and the man who did the
shoveling would not trouble to lift out a rat even if he saw one. The workers would feel and see the
dead rodents and not bother in attempting to do anything about

Milwaukee Of The Civil Rights Movement
During the time of the civil rights movement, milwaukee was considered to be one of the most
segregated cities at the time. An extensive amount of African American had moved to the city during
and after world war II, and by the time of the civil rights movement, the black community had
accounted for 15 percent of Milwaukee s population . It isn t a surprise that majority of African
Americans in Milwaukee lived in the north side of the city, which accumulated increasing volatility
due to limited job opportunities, poverty, and segregation.Racial segregation in Milwaukee and around
the world has always been a phenomenon with intricate historical roots. The complex history of
slavery, employment discrimination, tax inequity, redlining, discriminatory housing policies, and
multiple other issue have lead Milwaukee to be segregated. Despite the fact that Milwaukee s has a
unique history, social forces and government policies created and reinforced residential segregation
throughout the united states, so why is Milwaukee worse than most cities in America? Well suburban
housing is more expensive than city housing and another thing that distinguishes metro Milwaukee
from other areas is the incredible racial disparity in median household incomes in metro Milwaukee,
which prevents many minorities from being able to afford suburban housing. So segregation is a huge
problem in the milwaukee metro area because of the racial disparity in median household incomes,
education, and

A Report On The Cruise Sector Essay
The study in this report will confirm that the cruise sector is an important part of the tourism industry
in New Zealand. The sector creates significant inflows of foreign expenditure which impacts
positively on the New Zealand economy.
The level of activity within the sector has grown rapidly in the past decade and is expected to continue
growing, although at a more subdued level. The pace and scale of growth has caused concerns to be
raised about the ability of New Zealand to capitalise on this influx currently and in the long term, as
there are issues around capacity in some essential services for the sector.
Introduction:
In New Zealand cruising is the fastest growing tourism sector and has huge potential, because of the
country s popularity as a destination skyrocketing and increase in the tourist attraction. The numbers
of passengers have growing by more than 250 percent in last five years. As the industry grows in New
Zealand it constantly stimulates new activity and initiatives. Many ports around the country are
improving their facilities to handle cruise ships. There has been a commensurate increase in
international flights with passengers either joining or leaving a cruise ship in New Zealand. There is
also now a dedicated cadet training programme in New Zealand, which allows navigation and
engineering officer graduates to move directly into cruise related employment. In addition, cruise lines
are visiting hospitality schools and technical

1984 Vs Present Day Government
There are many similarities and differences between the government in both George Orwell s book,
1984, and our present day government. It is the same way with both societies. The government and
society in the book is very simple and the rules are straightforward. Our present government and
society on the other hand is very complex and usome of the rules have gray areas. What both the
society and government from both sides have in common is that they have a significant amount of
violence. What makes the societies differ is that in ours more people have more access to resources
while in the book people s resources are very limited. Both of the governments have quite a few
similarities. One, for example, is that a lot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the book, the government is incredibly strict and thorough. Our s is strict but not nearly as much as
in the book. In the book if you got caught doing something illegal, you were for sure going to jail and
may never get out no matter the severity of the crime. With our s, there is a good chance with most
crimes, you can get out of jail after your sentence. Also, you could possible get out of jail early on
good behavior. There are only very few cases of life in jail or the death sentence. Another difference is
that we have one active leader that we vote on. In the book, there are many leaders. Although they call
the government as a whole one name that resembles a person called Big Brother . A big difference is
that they both have different crimes they think are the worst. In the book, the worst crime you can
commit is thoughtcrime. Thoughtcrime is when a person hold unspoken beliefs that go against the
governments beliefs. You could get away with it quite easily. Today, the worst crime the commit is
murder, which is harder to get away with. One last difference is that today we have almost complete
privacy. We are allowed to do most things when we please without someone watching. On the other
hand, in the book, there is someone watching them at all times. The government can tune in to the
cameras or microphones whenever they

Greece And China Similarities
Greece and China have many differences between them, with the first and foremost being that they
both are set in different continents with Greece being in Europe and China being in Asia. Another
difference between them is the currency they use. While Greece uses the Euro. China, on the other
hand, uses the Renminbi. Still yet, another difference between them is that while China s economy is
becoming stronger and richer it seems daily, Greece s economy seems to be becoming weaker and
poorer with each passing day. Although Greece and China do have many differences they also have
many similarities with one being that they both have a strong sense of family values in that they both

They are also alike in that they both have oceanic coastlines and they both rely on the exports of goods

that they both have large mountains in their regions with Greece s being Mount Olympus with also
being the largest mountain in Europe and China s largest mountain being Mount Everest which also
happens to be the biggest mountain in the world. Even though Greece and China have many things
alike and many things different, I think that the greatest things about both of them that people already
do like or will like is that they are both two very beautiful countries filled with lots of ancient beliefs
and customs, mixed together with many new, modern day technologies that cause them to be places
filled with many exciting and wonderful things that have and will fill a person s heart, and mind with a

Stages Of Development In Early Years
Development in the early years of our lives is a crucial time for the well being of a human. It may
determine how you will perform later on in life, and it s the time of tremendous development for the
physical, mental and emotional self. Development starts as early as conception, when the egg and
sperm meet and continue up until we die. Early developments from when we are developing inside the
womb are just as important to when we are born and when we continue to grow throughout our lives.
Some may argue that certain stages of development are more important than others, but as we
discussed in one of our first classes, all stages of development are of all the same importance. Ways

The Laws Should And Should Not Be Place
Law is fluid. This statement can be interpreted in a number of ways with no exact answer. One can
construe it as law being ever changing or law varying from place to place. The fluidity of law is very
clearly illustrated in the assorted judgments of law itself. In particular, many are strongly opinionated
regarding which laws should and should not be place. St. Thomas Aquinas, a traditional law theorist,
raised many questions concerning law as he had substantial sentiments around law. He combined the
philosophy of Aristotle and Christian geology to create the Traditional Natural Law Theory. Aquinas
defines law as nothing else than an ordinance of reason for the common good, made by him who has
care of the community and promulgated ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similar to so, Aquinas declares that a law is unjust laws if it is contrary to human good and again,
opposed to divine good. Additionally, just laws are the foundation to acquiring virtue. As Aquinas s
claim will be elucidated and objected, one will be clear to conclude that Aquinas speaks of the truth.
There are different characteristics that create a law. In the light, there are a number of characteristics
that determine if the law is just. Aquinas strongly imposes that all laws must be just. If not just, then
they are invalid, unnatural, and perceived as a perversion of law (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20).
Aquinas states that every human law has just so much of the nature of law as it is derived from the law
of nature (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20). The essence of natural law is to elude evil and achieve
good. It is an outlet of eternal law, the legislator being God, in which He commands Nature. Natural
law applies only to rational creatures, as opposed to eternal law which applies to nature as a whole.
Naturally, the pursuit of good among humans come in accordance with natural inclinations that is
obtained as living creatures, animals, and rational thinking. Man strives for self preservation,
procreation, and the pursuit of knowledge. With the nature of humans, and nature of natural law, it is
manifestly an ordinance of

Characterization In The Scarlet Ibis By James Hurst
The Scarlet Ibis is a short story written by James Hurst to illustrate the difficulties of living with
impairments. Hurst uses characterization by character s actions, character s speech, and character s
thoughts to create meaningful characters. In this story, Hurst uses characterization by character s
actions to demonstrate the life of a small, physically impaired boy. All throughout the story, Doodle
works to overcome the obstacles facing him, whether it is simply walking or even running. Many
children facing his predicament would simply give up, but Doodle s attempts to succeed prove that he
is both courageous and tough. Also, the narrator works to help his baby brother succeed in being a
normal boy, and he even goes to the extreme in pushing the weak child. This shows that the older
brother is motivated to help his brother, but he lacks the care and love that he should be providing.
Doodle s short life is displayed beautifully in this story with the use of characterization by character s
actions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Chancellor MacCracken s group formed a national rules committee which was combined with

Objective:
We will be using various combinations of distilled water, hydrogen peroxide, malonic acid, ascorbic
acid (Vitamin C), acetic acid (Vinegar), starch solution, laundry detergent, iodine tincture, manganese
sulfate, and sulfamic acid to produce multiple pairs of solutions labeled Solution A and Solution B.
The goal is to either observe the process of fluorescence or the absence of fluorescence. Fluorescence
is the chemical property of generating light after undergoing the process of absorbing and emitting a
certain amount of energy, directly causing a physical change in the substance s color. Mixing Solution
A and Solution B, while viewing the results under UV light from time to time, should result in the new
solution constantly ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Make sure to pour Solution B into Solution A, then mix throughly.
Observations:
After swirling the resulting solution, its appearance kept cycling through the color yellow and
appearing colorless. However, there was constantly a small patch of blue residue caused by some
undissolved starch powder. There was some gas formation during this process. After 5 minutes, we
stopped swirling the beaker and let it sit in the fume hood. 15 to 20 minutes later, the solution began to
turn dark blue.
PART B:
Making ascorbic acid (Vitamin C solution)
Obtain one vitamin C tablet and place it into a mortar and pestle. Crush the tablet until it becomes a
fine powder. Next, move the powder into a new 50 mL beaker and pour exactly 1 tablespoon of
distilled water into the beaker. Then, obtain a glass stir rod to partially mix the solution, allowing any
remaining solids to drown to the bottom of the beaker. Keep track of this beaker since the acid will be
utilized throughout the remainder of the

Relationship Between Expectations And Price Movements Essay
Motivation My motivation to look closer into the relationship between expectations and price
movements comes from my trading experience within the forex market. For the past two years, I have
been trading live within the forex market, with two years prior to this paper trading. What attracted me
to the forex market rather than the many other markets available to trade independently was the high
volatility and the opportunity to profit from it. However, as I quickly learned during my period of
paper trading this volatility would cause me to incur more losses than profits. Since then I ve adopted
a more conservative trading style which is mainly oriented around technical analysis. However, I m
still quite interested in the immediate and often drastic price movements which happen when news is
released. My primary goal of this paper was to understand and possibly adopt new elements into my
trading strategy to become a better trader.
Empirical framework
Setup
I will be analyzing the effect expectations have on price movements within the foreign exchange
market. In order to estimate this, a few key variables are required: price, forecasted, previous and
actual news numbers. Using these variables we can estimate the effect on which major news events
have on the price movements. Defining Yit as the variable which represents the change price in the
current period I and at time t. Yit equals 1 if there is no change in price from the mean, and equal to 1

Shp Reflection
For my cooperative practice in AHS 393, I interned at Indiana State University s Student Health
Promotion (SHP). SHP operates under Student Affairs as a part of the Student Counseling Center to
create and promote a healthy college community. They focus on encouraging students to identify the
benefits of, need for, healthy lifestyle choices through the promotion of comprehensive mind/body
wellness, timely marketing, ongoing direct interactions and by supporting a community that enables
these choices. My supervisor was Janet Weatherly, the associate director of SHP. My main duty and
favorite part of my co op was running their Motivational Monday programs. Each Monday we tabled

The Earth On The Turtle s Back
How was Earth created? How were people created? Why was everything made how it was? All of
these questions and many more were asked by Native Americans, and so they came up with stories to
answer these questions in a way they could understand. Some of these stories include; The Sky Tree,
The Earth on the Turtle s Back, Coyote Finishes His Work, Coyote Steals the Sun and Moon, The
Blackfeet Genesis, When Grizzlies Walked Upright, and The Navajo Origin Legend. According to
these titles, one could conclude that there were different stories explaining the same thing, and a lot of
them had to do with animals.
The first two stories that are similar in many ways is The Sky Tree and The Earth on the Turtle s Back.
Both of these stories are the explanation of how the land came around, stating that the Earth started as
water, and then something happened that made it have land. In both stories, it starts out with the world
just being full of water and takes place in skyland. In one story, the the Queen ... Show more content

stories, it also gives explanations of how other things are made, like trees, mountains, berries, etc..
Although, in The Blackfeet Genesis the story ends with a mother and son talking to the Chief and they
decide that death will be ultimate, no going back, until the son dies, and the mother wants to undo the
law, and have her son come back. In When Grizzlies Walked Upright, the lost daughter of the Great

The Human Modes Of Communication
For Postman, the human modes of communication play an important role in terms of shaping
discourse. If one can understand the role that methods of communication play in shaping culture and
discourse, one can better understand how communication impacts the development and subsequent
spread of culture and knowledge. Therefore, constructing an understanding of human epistemology
requires an analysis of the prevalent mediums of communication within society. Postman argues that
the unique nature of each form of communication controls, ...what kind of content can issue from such
forms. 1 (p. 6) He gives the example of smoke signals utilized by Native Americans. These smoke

(p. 65) The invention of the telegraph brought about discourse for the sake of discourse, and thus, ...it
would require the content of that conversation to be different from what Typographic Man was
accustomed to. 5 (p. 65) As the telegraph rose to prevalence, so too did the spread of useless
information. Information became a commodity, something that served no purpose other than to
inform. Information no longer needed to serve any sort of relevance be it social or political it became a
novelty intended to entertain and satisfy curiosity. The implication of such a shift in medium cannot be
underestimated. To Postman, By generating an abundance of irrelevant information, it [the telegraph]
dramatically altered what may be called the information action ratio. 6 (p. 68) The problem with this is
that society has slowly become complacent with their impotency in terms of acting with regards to the
news. The news that one hears no longer has the ability to guide one s actions, as it is irrelevant. The
telegraph created a culture in which rapid, readily replaced information is desirable; and it is this shift
in discourse that has created the cultural idea that intelligence is, ...meant knowing of lots of things,
not knowing about them. 7 (p. 70)

Essay on juan peron
Juan Domingo Perón is known as the greatest Argentinean politician of all time. However, he is also
one of he most controversial. His tactics and alliances are often criticized as are the changes and
developments he brought about in Argentina. The one thing that can be concluded by all is that this
man led a very complex and important life.
Perón was born on October 8, 1895, in a province of Buenos Aires. He was the second son of Mario
and Juana Perón. His father was an employee of the local court. When Juan was five years old his
father abandoned the family. To make ends meet, Juana married a man whom was a farm hand. When

Juan in may ways. When she tried to run for vice president she was denied mainly because many of
the military leaders felt threatened. She kept on helping Perón by keeping him in contact with he
countries labor unions. Eva or Evita died in 1952 of cancer.
Perón set out to make Argentina the military and financial power of Latin America. This was a tough
task though since Perón had many oppositions. Perón used censorship and other violations of
Civil rights to help control his oppositions. The catholic church was one of them.
The catholic church was in an uproar when Perón pushed for the policy of divorce. They reformed and

Drumming Research Paper
Is drumming really difficult to me? In my opinion, drumming can be difficult at some times, and
understanding the concept of drumming wasn t easy at the start. When I first started trying to play the
drums, I didn t understand how to do it. I had no idea that drumming even had different styles and
beats. It took me quite awhile to fully comprehend how complex it really is. Drumming is not easy at
first, can be very complex, and requires a lot of practice. Learning to play the drums was not easy
when I first started figuring out how to play a beat. First of all, I didn t know which pieces I was
supposed to play. After observing another person play the drums, I saw that I needed to play the snare
(like in a marching band), hi hat (two cymbals put together), and bass drum (the big drum on the
bottom), and this combination became my first beat. Trying to play the bass drum with the hi hat and
snare confused me. I was fine playing the snare and hi hat, but I always messed up when I tried adding
the bass drum. I ended up having CJ play the bass drum while I played the hi hat and snare, which
lasted for over two months until I could play it myself. I was proud to finally be able to play a beat,
however I never knew about the many different different beats that you could play. ... Show more

First, there are different styles of drumming. How I play can depend on different things, such as what
the song itself is like. For example, one song could have a repeating, simple beat, but another song
could have a drum solo and super complex variations to the beat. There are also different speeds or
tempos for drumming. There may be songs that incorporate slow, easy to play beats, and there could
be other songs that have very fast drumming, such as heavy metal. Due to the varieties of drumming
styles and speeds, it takes practice to get used to the different

Sir Galvano and Sir Pernik finished planning and preparing, they went to sleep.
While they were asleep, Sir Galvano s wicked step sister, Beulah, ventured into the woods and created

Ethical Dilemma And Ethical Dilemmas
Ethical dilemma (ED) can emanate from any perspective of our lives be in the personal or professional
front. An ED is a decision making problem between two or more undesirable outcomes (Marquis
Huston, 2015). As a case manager (CM), I find myself facing it on a daily basis, due to a responsibility
to multiple stakeholders such as the employer, insurance, physician, and of course, the patient s well
being should be the priority. Below is an example of an ED.
Mr. Z is a 21 year old male, Hispanic male, undocumented, with two sisters living in Texas. Due to an
unfortunate event, he was a victim of a hit and run from a motor vehicular accident. He sustained
spinal cord injury and multiple organ injuries that made him paralyzed from the neck down and
dependent on a ventilator. The patient was able to assign one of his sisters to be his medical power of
attorney prior to coding twice and eventually lose his capacity to make a decision. The family was
aware of the patient s medical condition and prognosis of possibly living for six months. In addition,
the family declined a do not resuscitate order and to make him a hospice candidate. The CM was
unable to find a facility that will accept him due to his illegal status and inability to get him funded.
The family has no means to provide financial assistance, even when offered, that the hospital will pay
for the ventilator, provide nursing visits and respiratory visits, still declined citing an inability to

Being A Hearing Impairment Problem
The world is full of people but all people are not same in terms of fate. That is why some are
physically and mentally fit while others are not lucky in this regard. The ones who are having any kind
of disability are considered as special and that is why special treatment should be given to them so that
they can be able to live their lives in an adequate manner. The disable persons especially children tend
to face so many problems. If the child is deaf then he will have to face harsh behavior of the other
children because neither he is able to express what he wants to say nor he is able to understand what
others are saying. This document deals with the problems of Michael who is a five years old child and
is having a hearing impairment problem. The document will discuss those strategies which are
necessary to be implemented in order to support Michael in a school setting. In addition to this, it will
also be discussed that in what ways Michael can be able to bridge the social and cultural gap (Javier,

The Painting Reflection
The 2011 animated movie, The Painting, directed by Jean François Laguionie, offered interesting
thoughts on the debates about the existence of god, the perception of reality, and freewill. The
complexity of the paintings and painter is in parallel with our understanding of the world and god or
creator. It prompts a question though. Are we blind to our own reality never realizing that we are just
one painting within another and clueless about what is beyond our own frame? While a final answer to
these debates was not necessarily given because no one can truly discover the answer, the story did
propose an attitude or mindset that we should adopt leading to a better understanding of the issues at
hand.
Many members of each caste, the Alldunns, Halfies, and Sketchies, simply accepted the way things
were and assumed the painter made everything a certain way for a reason. Some thought the painter
would return to finish his work; others cursed the painter for being so cruel as to leave work
unfinished and allow such inequality; yet, even others thought the painter would not return and did not
care about them. The Alldunns even used this idea to discriminate against those they deemed
incomplete and unworthy of joining them in the castle. In the painting of the war, the two armies
fought day after day because that was all they knew. The struggles and differences between the castes
and in the war painting illustrated inequality and evil that were nonsensical and eventually

Analysis Of Charlie Chaplin s City Lights
In the initial scene in Charlie Chaplin s City Lights, the tone is set with an establishing shot of a large
crowd accompanied by a score of trumpets. Following this shot, a title card says To the people of this
city we donate this monument; Peace and Prosperity . (Chaplin, City Lights). This title card
establishes what a large, authoritative man, presumably the mayor, is relaying to the enthusiastic
crowd below him. As he speaks, all that the film s audience hears are inarticulate buzzing noises
(today, often compared to the voices of adults in Peanuts cartoons); however, it can be assumed that
the characters in the film understand him. The woman he introduces speaks in a similar manner,
though in a higher pitch. The two stand on a stage in front of a large monument covered by a sheet.
The woman briefly introduces a bespectacled man, possibly the sculptor. A microphone is very clearly
visible towards the left side of the frame. Trumpets sound, everyone stands, the woman pulls a ribbon
and the monument is unveiled. The monument is a large stone work of three Greco Romanesque
statue figures draped in robes. One figure is seated upon a throne, another is kneeling with hands
displayed, and the third is lying back with a sword pointed toward the middle of the design. After the
sheet is removed, the crowd stirs in astonishment at the Little Tramp, asleep upon the lap of one of the
statues. Unaware of goings on the Tramp scratches and stretches while the crowd is in an upset. He

Identifying A Cluster Of Media Communication
Examining a cluster of media communication in order to review common and unique approaches that
the marketing industry utilizes was not something that crossed my mind to ever do. The task was not
as easy as I expected when explained in class; but, it was interesting and seeing as though I have
learned over the years through my other classes that the average American spends somewhere near 8
hours of their day watching television, the marketing industry has a big advantage using commercials
to attract their viewers and manipulate them into purchasing and using or consuming the product they
are delivering to them through the television screen. For this assignment, I tuned into TBS where an

commercials seem to be heavily concentrated on adults, the activities they take part in, and the
resources they will need for future endeavors. I was unable to document a significant difference in the
types of commercials shown during these programs in order to have much of a comparison, but there
was enough alike about them to dissect them and really figure out the methods which broadcasting
companies use in order to attract their buyers and consumers. For every television channel I have ever
watched throughout my life the commercials have always been significantly louder than the actual
show I am viewing; not just for these two channels, but I did notice it more when actually having to
pay attention. Why does this annoying thing constantly happen every channel I choose to watch? The
answer to this question: marketing purposes. It is in the companies best interest on becoming
successful with the product they are attempting to sell by turning the volume up on their commercials
louder than the actual television show because it attracts the viewers and manipulates them in to
paying attention to them. People are not watching television shows to see the commercials; maybe

The Automotive Industry Is Characterised By High Levels Of...
The automotive industry is characterised by high levels of uncertainty, creating difficulties for
companies to follow prescriptive strategies. Many factors contribute to this unpredictability.
Pertinently, the financial crisis created instability: between 2008 2009 the Western automobile market
worth fell by $300billion. Damaging profitability and cash flows, creating excess supply. In 2007
worldwide production capacity of cars was over 70million although demand was less than 60million
(De Moraes, 2016).
Growing environmental concern and pressures for car companies to undertake sustainable practices
has led to uncertainty (De Moraes, 2016). Movement in regulation and consumer preferences towards
environmentally friendly production has a cost burden (Hirsh, Kakkar, Singh and Wilk, 2015).
Encouraging companies to misrepresent data; Volkswagen falsified emissions tests (The Economist,
2015a).
Natural resource prices driven by regulative forces external to the automotive industry are another
source of uncertainty; 2009 onwards saw spiralling fuel prices, increasing the cost of manufacturing
and decreasing demand for vehicles (De Moraes, 2016). Conversely, current oil prices are
plummeting. When oil prices were high, consumers purchased economical vehicles. However, lower
prices have renewed demand for fuel inefficient larger cars. These cyclical trends foster demand
uncertainties (The Economist, 2014).
Car industries are domestically important, providing employment,

Term Limits Analysis
The Supreme Court is a critical part of our government. As such, we need the very best and most
capable judges to serve on the bench of the court. Unfortunately, there have been several cases where
judges have stayed on the court way to long. For example, Philip Cattan fell asleep during a rape trial,
and was allowed to remain a judge . (Daily Mail, 2016). Therefore, term limits are a good idea
because it would reduce the impact of judges medical issues on the court, changing judges more often
would result in judges who are more in touch with society, and the majority of people in the United
States support the idea of the term limits for the Supreme Court. Having term limits would be an

it would be taking the peoples vote who support term limits. Judges who are in touch with society

Children With ADHD Research
Children with attention deficit/hyperactivity (ADHD) disorder are normally at risk for other disorders
such as conduct problems. In fact, ADHD is one of the most robust early predictors of conduct
problems. (Lahey, McBurnett, et al., 2000). These conduct problems can turn into adverse outcomes
such as criminality and substance abuse among others. ADHD is defined by the Diagnostic and
Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed.; DSM V; American Psychiatric Association, 2013) as
developmentally impulsive behaviors, inappropriate inattention, and motor activity that cause
impairment in social and academic functioning. While little is known about early predictors of the
developmental course of conduct problems among children with ADHD, this ... Show more content on

The DISC was given in each annual assessment and parents were asked whether the child s ADHD
symptoms had caused problems at home or at school. On the CIRS, parents and teachers alike rated
the child s degree of problem and need for treatment. Teachers were also given the Disruptive
Behavior Disorders Rating Scale (Pelham, Gnagy, Greenslade, Milich, 1992) by mail and asked to
complete it as part of each annual assessment. In the present study, conduct problems was defined by
the number of DSM IV conduct disorder (CD) symptoms reported by the parent and/or teacher.
Researchers examined risk factors such as maternal depression using The Structured Clinical
Interview for DSM III R, Non Patient Edition (Spitzer, Williams, Gibbon, 1990), was administered to
mothers. Mothers also completed supplemental modules to assess the presence of DSM III R lifetime
APD and childhood CD, ADHD, ODD in them and in the father s life. Mother and child interactions
were coded with the Dyadic Parent child Interaction Coding System (DPICS; Robinson Eyberg,
1981). DPICS interaction categories included direct and indirect commands, labeled and unlabeled
praise, child deviance, parent and child affect, critical statements, and child responses to commands.
Positive parenting included praise, positive affect, and physical positive. Negative parenting included

Advantages Of Driverless Cars
Allowing driverless cars enter our society.
Tesla, google, Nissan and other companies now shifted their focus on driverless cars. However, the
issue of allowing driverless cars access our community has been broadly debated in our society. It is a
significant matter because it concerns the street development and road safety of how we drive in the
future. Towards this particular subject there has been a range of different arguments that have been put
forward. Robotic cars must enter the society because they are convenient to the community. They will
improve on road safety, decrease street traffic, reduce human errors on the road and time will be
saved, making the journey enjoyable.

Once you have wasted it, it can not come back. Therefore, autonomous vehicles allow the citizens to
save their time spent in traveling by cars. The majority of humans can ride this car without a driver s
license. Everyone benefits from it; elderly, children, and people with special needs (disabilities). They
appreciate the car ride and the fact that they can travel to any place they want without them having to
worry about a driver being there. However, they still might need human assistants to help them.
Peoples journey will be more enjoyable now that they don t have to sit behind the wheel. Natives don t
have to worry about distance driving. This is important because lots of people travel long distance by
car. For example, in the UAE people have families from different emirates. Therefore, on the
weekends they spend more than 2 hours in the automobile to reach their destinations. The car ride is
tiresome, and people get frustrated about it. Also driving in circles to find a parking spot is enough to
get a person irritated. With autonomous cars the individuals can get out of the car without needing to
think about a parking spot, if they wanted to catch a movie they wont be late. During long journeys
they can sit back and relax. They could now multitask or just sleep, chat, text, study, work, basically
just anything they want and can do in the car without having to worry about the

  • 2. The Effects Of Global Finance Crisis On Brazil s Economy The Effects of Global Finance Crisis 2008 2009 on Brazil s Economy While researching written articles about the effects of global finance crisis 2008 2009 on Brazil s economy, I found numerous financial researchers that had published documentations in reference to the impact on the Brazil economy. In addition, the banks and government interactions to the global finance crisis 2008 2009, particularly research papers, financial journals, newspapers, pamphlets, and brochures. The Brazil government policies deal with a less openness, and its emerging economy enabled the country finance regulators the ability to initiate moderate banking countering measures to the crisis. These actions taken by the Brazilian government minimized the long term impacts of the global finance crisis 2008 2009 compared to more developed nations. My goals in this paper, is to explore the Brazil banking finance reactions, and government regulation policies that led to mitigating the impact of the global financial crisis of 2008 2009. To achieve this goal, I analyzed the Brazil banking sector response to the global financial crisis effect due to the tightening of credit and higher exchange rate. Next, I researched the impacts on the Brazilian economy affecting its imports and exports. Thirdly, impacts on the Brazil s currency, and lastly a conclusion on the actions and impacts of the Brazil response to the financial crisis. I also include an appendix after the Works Cited that contains images of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Thinking Is A Way That People Make Decisions Thinking Thinking is a way that people make decisions. They think in black and white and don t like the gray areas. Thinkers tend to be task oriented, brief, and businesslike (Thinking vs. feeling, n.d.). People who prefer thinking over feeling prefer to form their opinions after thoroughly analyzing problems. They try to understand assumptions and figure out what could be the consequences of actions before they get to them. Their main concern is how decisions will affect the bottom line. Thinkers like debates because they believe it brings issues to the table and the group can talk them out and come to conclusions. They expect other people s arguments to build to a conclusion and not just be a ramble. They try to treat everybody equally, but also use their authority when determining how new things will be implemented (Hammer, 2015). They can come off as cold because they don t consider other people s emotions when making decisions (Collins, n.d.). By having this kind of outlook, it can cause many problems. Sometimes thinkers are too focused on supporting their own position and don t listen to their colleagues. Thinkers can sometimes are too aggressive in stating their opinions or asking questions that come off as attacking others. They can also be thought of as failing to appreciate the hard work and effort that other people have put into projects. To help thinkers get along and be productive in the workplace, thinkers can look for a common ground so that both sides of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, employees should be protected by law as well as organization. This assignment presents several situations where liability issues can occur at any given time. Also, this assignment identifies how the following case applies to the three scenarios: Abella v. Simon, 831 F. Supp.2d 1316 (2011) U.S. Dist. LEXIS 136238 (S.D. The Merry Court says that if a false report is used in some way which damages a subject, some form of legal right might be available, but that is not the situation in the present case. The Constitution is not violated by a police officer s failure to make a report, the creation of an inaccurate report, or the failure to have an inaccurate report corrected. This claim fails because there is no rights to have the police write a police report. Courts have held that there is no legitimate right to correct police information. An allegedly incorrect police report fails to implicate constitutional rights; Landrigan v. City of Warwick, 628 F.2d 736, 745 (1st Cir.1980). If it is not a constitutional violation to file a false police report, it cannot be a constitutional (as cited in Abella v. Simon, 831 F.Supp.2d 1316, (S.D.Fla.2011). Both subjects claiming the officer not filing a police report correctly or not writing a report. Courts have held that there is no constitutional right to a correct police report. Are you dissuaded from political involvement because you feel that you are not able to make a difference? This is a very real concern, which large portion of is due to corporate lobbying. Corporate lobbying enables corporations to have a voice in politics, which on some issues, sounds fair. For others however, corporations being able to buy votes acts against the american people. Lobbying is a system of legalized corruption that must be regulated more heavily to prevent votes being swayed away from the constituents of politicians, and toward the interests of large corporations. Both of these businesses have much to gain from lobbying. Big Pharma refers to the group of the biggest pharmaceutical companies, including corporations such as Gilead Sciences, Johnson Johnson, and Pfizer.(top 15, par 1) These companies lobby for issues pertaining to drugs, such as being against the legalization or decriminalization of drugs. By keeping drugs such as marijuana from being used medically, Big Pharma is able to prevent alternative treatment methods and maintain their medical monopoly. Another heavily involved industry is Big Oil. Big Oil, like Big Pharma, is used to refer to groups of the biggest corporations in the oil, natural gas, and coal industries. Big Oil is often the target of scrutiny in regards to environmentalism, due to their constant attempts to prevent laws that try to cut down on the usage of fossil fuels and natural gas from being passed. Oil companies profit heavily from the use of lobbyists because the more regulations on non renewable resources, the less money they are able to make. The Lab Manual stated in applicable cases, such as buying amounts of starting material to form a certain product, could change a reaction, or have economic effects of wasting unnecessary amounts of material, therefore, unnecessary amounts of money.1 For instance, determining the amount of active ingredients in the fizz reaction of an Alka Seltzer tablet is a great example to understand how much reactant is needed to cause the relief (determined by the product) according to the Lab Manual.1 According to researcher Dr. Catherine Chen, sodium bicarbonate is used for the acid base netrualization.2 The Lab Manual presented the following reaction in which the active ingredient in Alka Seltzer tablets sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) reacted with ... By using many forms of the media, combined with organized protests, people exposed these issues and informed thousands of Americans of the conditions that existed. Within the first few weeks of his book getting published, Theodore Roosevelt received many letters from the public regarding that the meat packing industry should be more closely watched and regulated. In Sinclair s book, he stated, there would be meat that had tumbled out on the floor, in the dirt and sawdust, where the workers had tramped and spit... There would be meat stored in great piles in rooms. This is showing that the meat was not properly taken care of and the workers simply did not bother in trying to make it sanitary. Another piece of data that would support this would be, a man could run his hand over these piles of meat and sweep off handfuls of the dried dung of rats. and This was no fairy story and no joke; the meat would be shoveled into carts, and the man who did the shoveling would not trouble to lift out a rat even if he saw one. • 10. Milwaukee Of The Civil Rights Movement During the time of the civil rights movement, milwaukee was considered to be one of the most segregated cities at the time. An extensive amount of African American had moved to the city during and after world war II, and by the time of the civil rights movement, the black community had accounted for 15 percent of Milwaukee s population . It isn t a surprise that majority of African Americans in Milwaukee lived in the north side of the city, which accumulated increasing volatility due to limited job opportunities, poverty, and segregation.Racial segregation in Milwaukee and around the world has always been a phenomenon with intricate historical roots. The complex history of slavery, employment discrimination, tax inequity, redlining, discriminatory housing policies, and multiple other issue have lead Milwaukee to be segregated. Despite the fact that Milwaukee s has a unique history, social forces and government policies created and reinforced residential segregation throughout the united states, so why is Milwaukee worse than most cities in America? Well suburban housing is more expensive than city housing and another thing that distinguishes metro Milwaukee from other areas is the incredible racial disparity in median household incomes in metro Milwaukee, which prevents many minorities from being able to afford suburban housing. So segregation is a huge problem in the milwaukee metro area because of the racial disparity in median household incomes, education, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The sector creates significant inflows of foreign expenditure which impacts positively on the New Zealand economy. The level of activity within the sector has grown rapidly in the past decade and is expected to continue growing, although at a more subdued level. Our present government and society on the other hand is very complex and usome of the rules have gray areas. What both the society and government from both sides have in common is that they have a significant amount of violence. • 15. The Laws Should And Should Not Be Place Law is fluid. This statement can be interpreted in a number of ways with no exact answer. One can construe it as law being ever changing or law varying from place to place. The fluidity of law is very clearly illustrated in the assorted judgments of law itself. In particular, many are strongly opinionated regarding which laws should and should not be place. St. Thomas Aquinas, a traditional law theorist, raised many questions concerning law as he had substantial sentiments around law. He combined the philosophy of Aristotle and Christian geology to create the Traditional Natural Law Theory. Similar to so, Aquinas declares that a law is unjust laws if it is contrary to human good and again, opposed to divine good. Additionally, just laws are the foundation to acquiring virtue. As Aquinas s claim will be elucidated and objected, one will be clear to conclude that Aquinas speaks of the truth. There are different characteristics that create a law. In the light, there are a number of characteristics that determine if the law is just. Aquinas strongly imposes that all laws must be just. If not just, then they are invalid, unnatural, and perceived as a perversion of law (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20). Aquinas states that every human law has just so much of the nature of law as it is derived from the law of nature (Aquinas in Dimock, ed., 2002, p.20). The essence of natural law is to elude evil and achieve good. It is an outlet of eternal law, the legislator being God, in which He commands Nature. Natural law applies only to rational creatures, as opposed to eternal law which applies to nature as a whole. Naturally, the pursuit of good among humans come in accordance with natural inclinations that is obtained as living creatures, animals, and rational thinking. Hurst uses characterization by character s actions, character s speech, and character s thoughts to create meaningful characters. All throughout the story, Doodle works to overcome the obstacles facing him, whether it is simply walking or even running. Many children facing his predicament would simply give up, but Doodle s attempts to succeed prove that he is both courageous and tough. Also, the narrator works to help his baby brother succeed in being a normal boy, and he even goes to the extreme in pushing the weak child. Relationship Between Expectations And Price Movements Essay Motivation My motivation to look closer into the relationship between expectations and price movements comes from my trading experience within the forex market. For the past two years, I have been trading live within the forex market, with two years prior to this paper trading. What attracted me to the forex market rather than the many other markets available to trade independently was the high volatility and the opportunity to profit from it. However, as I quickly learned during my period of paper trading this volatility would cause me to incur more losses than profits. Since then I ve adopted a more conservative trading style which is mainly oriented around technical analysis. However, I m still quite interested in the immediate and often drastic price movements which happen when news is released. My primary goal of this paper was to understand and possibly adopt new elements into my trading strategy to become a better trader. Empirical framework Setup I will be analyzing the effect expectations have on price movements within the foreign exchange market. In order to estimate this, a few key variables are required: price, forecasted, previous and actual news numbers. Using these variables we can estimate the effect on which major news events have on the price movements. When I first started trying to play the drums, I didn t understand how to do it. I had no idea that drumming even had different styles and beats. It took me quite awhile to fully comprehend how complex it really is. Drumming is not easy at first, can be very complex, and requires a lot of practice. Learning to play the drums was not easy when I first started figuring out how to play a beat. First of all, I didn t know which pieces I was supposed to play. • 31. Being A Hearing Impairment Problem The world is full of people but all people are not same in terms of fate. That is why some are physically and mentally fit while others are not lucky in this regard. The ones who are having any kind of disability are considered as special and that is why special treatment should be given to them so that they can be able to live their lives in an adequate manner. The disable persons especially children tend to face so many problems. If the child is deaf then he will have to face harsh behavior of the other children because neither he is able to express what he wants to say nor he is able to understand what others are saying. This document deals with the problems of Michael who is a five years old child and is having a hearing impairment problem. The document will discuss those strategies which are necessary to be implemented in order to support Michael in a school setting. In addition to this, it will also be discussed that in what ways Michael can be able to bridge the social and cultural gap (Javier, 2005). • 32. The Painting Reflection The 2011 animated movie, The Painting, directed by Jean François Laguionie, offered interesting thoughts on the debates about the existence of god, the perception of reality, and freewill. The complexity of the paintings and painter is in parallel with our understanding of the world and god or creator. It prompts a question though. Are we blind to our own reality never realizing that we are just one painting within another and clueless about what is beyond our own frame? While a final answer to these debates was not necessarily given because no one can truly discover the answer, the story did propose an attitude or mindset that we should adopt leading to a better understanding of the issues at hand. Many members of each caste, the Alldunns, Halfies, and Sketchies, simply accepted the way things were and assumed the painter made everything a certain way for a reason. Some thought the painter would return to finish his work; others cursed the painter for being so cruel as to leave work unfinished and allow such inequality; yet, even others thought the painter would not return and did not care about them. The Alldunns even used this idea to discriminate against those they deemed incomplete and unworthy of joining them in the castle. In the painting of the war, the two armies fought day after day because that was all they knew. The struggles and differences between the castes and in the war painting illustrated inequality and evil that were nonsensical and eventually ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Analysis Of Charlie Chaplin s City Lights In the initial scene in Charlie Chaplin s City Lights, the tone is set with an establishing shot of a large crowd accompanied by a score of trumpets. Following this shot, a title card says To the people of this city we donate this monument; Peace and Prosperity . (Chaplin, City Lights). This title card establishes what a large, authoritative man, presumably the mayor, is relaying to the enthusiastic crowd below him. As he speaks, all that the film s audience hears are inarticulate buzzing noises (today, often compared to the voices of adults in Peanuts cartoons); however, it can be assumed that the characters in the film understand him. The woman he introduces speaks in a similar manner, though in a higher pitch. The two stand on a stage in front of a large monument covered by a sheet. The woman briefly introduces a bespectacled man, possibly the sculptor. A microphone is very clearly visible towards the left side of the frame. Trumpets sound, everyone stands, the woman pulls a ribbon and the monument is unveiled. The monument is a large stone work of three Greco Romanesque statue figures draped in robes. One figure is seated upon a throne, another is kneeling with hands displayed, and the third is lying back with a sword pointed toward the middle of the design. After the sheet is removed, the crowd stirs in astonishment at the Little Tramp, asleep upon the lap of one of the statues. Unaware of goings on the Tramp scratches and stretches while the crowd is in an upset. He ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Identifying A Cluster Of Media Communication Examining a cluster of media communication in order to review common and unique approaches that the marketing industry utilizes was not something that crossed my mind to ever do. The task was not as easy as I expected when explained in class; but, it was interesting and seeing as though I have learned over the years through my other classes that the average American spends somewhere near 8 hours of their day watching television, the marketing industry has a big advantage using commercials to attract their viewers and manipulate them into purchasing and using or consuming the product they are delivering to them through the television screen. Of all the commercials I saw, they were all geared towards young adults and older. From Ink Joy pen commercials to a Realtor.com commercial with Pepsi, Pizza Hut, and Reds Ale in between, these commercials seem to be heavily concentrated on adults, the activities they take part in, and the resources they will need for future endeavors. I was unable to document a significant difference in the types of commercials shown during these programs in order to have much of a comparison, but there was enough alike about them to dissect them and really figure out the methods which broadcasting companies use in order to attract their buyers and consumers. For every television channel I have ever watched throughout my life the commercials have always been significantly louder than the actual show I am viewing; not just for these two channels, but I did notice it more when actually having to pay attention. Why does this annoying thing constantly happen every channel I choose to watch? The answer to this question: marketing purposes. It is in the companies best interest on becoming successful with the product they are attempting to sell by turning the volume up on their commercials louder than the actual television show because it attracts the viewers and manipulates them in to paying attention to them. People are not watching television shows to see the commercials; maybe some people on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. The Automotive Industry Is Characterised By High Levels Of... The automotive industry is characterised by high levels of uncertainty, creating difficulties for companies to follow prescriptive strategies. Many factors contribute to this unpredictability. Pertinently, the financial crisis created instability: between 2008 2009 the Western automobile market worth fell by $300billion. Damaging profitability and cash flows, creating excess supply. In 2007 worldwide production capacity of cars was over 70million although demand was less than 60million (De Moraes, 2016). Growing environmental concern and pressures for car companies to undertake sustainable practices has led to uncertainty (De Moraes, 2016). Movement in regulation and consumer preferences towards environmentally friendly production has a cost burden (Hirsh, Kakkar, Singh and Wilk, 2015). Encouraging companies to misrepresent data; Volkswagen falsified emissions tests (The Economist, 2015a). Natural resource prices driven by regulative forces external to the automotive industry are another source of uncertainty; 2009 onwards saw spiralling fuel prices, increasing the cost of manufacturing and decreasing demand for vehicles (De Moraes, 2016). Conversely, current oil prices are plummeting. When oil prices were high, consumers purchased economical vehicles. However, lower prices have renewed demand for fuel inefficient larger cars. These cyclical trends foster demand uncertainties (The Economist, 2014). Car industries are domestically important, providing employment, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I answer the phone and assist the customer with anything they need. Unfortunately, there have been several cases where judges have stayed on the court way to long. For example, Philip Cattan fell asleep during a rape trial, and was allowed to remain a judge . (Daily Mail, 2016). Therefore, term limits are a good idea because it would reduce the impact of judges medical issues on the court, changing judges more often would result in judges who are more in touch with society, and the majority of people in the United States support the idea of the term limits for the Supreme Court. ADHD is defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (5th ed.; DSM V; American Psychiatric Association, 2013) as developmentally impulsive behaviors, inappropriate inattention, and motor activity that cause impairment in social and academic functioning.
