Unhealthy Food Choices, Lack Of Parental Guidance, And A...
In 2012, one third of adolescents were either overweight or obese and 18% of 6 11 year olds were
obese; that is a staggering statistic (CDC). This can cause life long problems for these children. In this
essay, I will show you that unhealthy food choices, lack of parental guidance, and a sedentary lifestyle
are some of the leading causes of obesity in our children. For instance, these days with most parents
having to work outside the home, there is not much time spent cooking healthy meals. Most children
come home to an empty house and many do not know how to cook, so unless there is something
prepared for them ahead of time, they head straight for the junk food. Plus, with all the inexpensive
convenience foods that are on the shelves these days it makes it too easy for one to whip up a family
meal or snack in just minutes in the microwave. The problem with these convenience foods is that
they are usually high in fat, sugar, and calories (Sorte, Daeschel, Amador 5). Not only are convenience
foods bad for you, but also too are the so called fast foods. If you go to any local fast food restaurant
and order one cheeseburger meal with fries and a soda, you have literally eaten your whole days
calories in one meal and two days worth of fat. For instance a Whopper Value Meal contains: 1430
calories, 65 grams of fat, 1930 mg. sodium, 85 mg. cholesterol, 89 grams sugar, 0 vitamins, 0 calcium
and 0 iron. (Calories in Burger King Whopper Value Meal (With Cheese, Medium Fries,

Essay On Dynamic Range
Dynamic range defined as the range of the lightest and darkest areas of an image which camera can
successfully capture without losing detail. Our real world environment dynamic range is high that
exceeds the capabilities of modern display devices with limited dynamic range. A problem appears
when displaying high dynamic range image in low dynamic range display devices, so the tone
mapping technique has been used to solve this problem. In this paper, new adjustment tone mapping
technique is presented for displaying high dynamic range image on a low dynamic range device
without any lose in image details and maintains contrast of the image. Instead of linearly scaling the
luminance of all pixels or introduce local gamma correction with ... Show more content on

Tone mapping technique used to map high dynamic range images to low dynamic range image that
will be displayed on recent devices, thus keeping the image looking realistic. The tone mapping
operators can be classified into two categories: global operators and local operators. Global operator
task depends on the same mapping function is used for all the pixels of the input HDR image so,
global operators can be described as spatially uniform methods. Global tone mapping operators are
computationally very simple and maintain the intensity orders of the original scenes thus avoiding
halo artifacts, but cause loss of details in the mapped images. Local operators which reproduce the
tonal values in a spatially variant manner because mapping function processes for each individual
pixel. Local operators characterized that more satisfying than global operators in terms of the detail
preservation and compression ratio of the dynamic range. Also, there are two tone mapping model
linear tone mapping model and nonlinear tone mapping model. Linear model does not need multiscale
decomposition or segmentation of the images into binary or fractional maps, where the problems
associated with layer decomposition are not found. Linear model not only interested in making the
output images looks natural by enhancing the pixel intensity more significantly in highlights, but also

The Buddhist Temple That Has Created Disagreement Among...
Borobudur located on the island of Java is a Buddhist temple that has created disagreement among the
academic community. There are two schools of thought in which scholars such as art historians and
archeologist debate about what the real significance and purpose of Borobudur is about. For example,
a group of scholars argues that Borobudur is stupa. This contrasts the other scholars who contends that
Borobudur is a mandala. Although both groups of scholars adequately analyze Borobudur and provide
evidence to support their arguments, the argument that the Buddhist temple is both a mandala and
stupa is rational. In this paper, I will present evidence from both sides of the argument, in which
Borobudur has ignited copious amounts of controversy for in the scholarly communities. However, at
the end, I will argue that I disagree with both schools of thought because Borobudur is actually both a
stupa and a mandala.
A stupa is a mound like circular structure that contains the relics of a Buddha. Buddhist frequently
participate in pilgrimages to stupas because of worship opportunities. Although Buddhist architects
built Borobudur in the 9th century, but academics do not know what the original purposes of what the
structure was constructed for. However, though visual and architectural evidence many academics
believe that Borobudur is a stupa. While traditionally, a structure, like a stupa consists of one focalized
and central grand stupa: Borobudur does not; the temple is composed

The Death Of Tennessee V Garner
Sidney Hildebrandt
Tennessee V Garner
On the night of October 3rd, 1974 at approximately 10:45 p.m. Edward Garner was shot by Officer
Hymon in an attempt to stop him from escaping a crime scene. Garner died on the operating table due
to the gunshot wound on the back of his head. His crime was burglary and he was found with a mere
ten dollars and a purse. The case was argued on October 30th, 1984 and a decision was made on
March 27th, 1985. The father of Edward Garner believed his son s constitutional rights were violated
by the defendants Officer Hymon, the Police Department, and the Mayor of the city of Memphis. With
a 6 3 decision, the Justices decided that Officer Hymon was acting justly under the fourth amendment
that states that deadly force is constitutional as long as it is reasonable . I believe Officer Hymon was
acting in good faith and simply fulfilling his duty to protect the public and stop criminals from
escaping punishment.
Edward Eugene Garner life ended in his eighth grade year at the young age of 15.He stood at five feet
four inches tall and weighed around one hundred pounds.1 The father of Edward, Cleamtee Garner,
brought the case into action by claiming that his son s fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth and fourteenth
amendments were violated.2 Officer Elton Hymon, along with Leslie Wright received a prowler inside

Global Wine War Analysis
1.
Due to French history and tradition it was possible to gain a strong image in regard to vinery and
example, which can be highlighted might be the invention of Champaign.
The experience of France as a quality wine producer going back to the middle ages can be regarded as
a source of competitive advantage. Another source is the strong wine culture in France creating a
positive image for customers. The wine industry by itself is a very important economic factor in
France, in the mid 18th century the wine industry accounted for 17% of the overall industry. As a
consequence, in 1855 the government classified wine yard into five different levels of quality. This
helped the consumers to identify the best possible wines and was unique at the ... Show more content

c. Advice to the French Minister of Agriculture
Help your producers sell their vine: provide more funds for marketing campaigns and fund workshops
on how they can identify their target group and do targeted, cost efficient marketing
4.
a. Australian Minister of Agriculture:
The labeling of wine according to regions in Australia has been already done but not with protection
by law. Tighten laws in relevance of how to label wines can be beneficial in the long run when it
comes to value creation, as can be successfully recognized in France.
Simultaneously, a financially subsidy should support wine yards with their surplus production hence
the successful long term strategy Directions to 2025 , which foresees value growth by 2015 and global
leadership on the wine market by 2025 might be eased. This is necessary since Australia will cannot
compete on price in the long term bringing to mind low cost production countries such as Chile.
b. Australian wine industry association
Align marketing activities with the plan of Direction to 2025 . Support the Australian s wine image
from cheap and cheerful into a classified and recognizable labeling scheme. It might be added that the
new scheme can be restructured in a way that it does not mix up psychographic targeting with regional
ones, since this might be confusing. The

Science Teachers and Professors Should Not Teach Creationism
Where do we come from? How did this world, this universe originate? Questions that philosophers
probably first of all, and successively scientists, dogmatists, little children, and imaginably almost the
whole population of the Earth have at least once asked themselves and tried to answer, sometimes
with convincing or satisfactory results, but presumably more frequently with no different outcome
than numerous new interrogations. However, today we do have several answers, different according to
areas of the world, distinct cultures and various religions, and each individual can choose what to
believe; so the actual question, which remains unsolved, is the following: what should public schools
teach to their students? The answer to this query ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
America is not a theocracy; indeed, the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution grants the freedom
of religion and states that the clause against establishment of religion by law was intended to erect a
wall of separation between church and State (Establishment Clause). Since public schools are in fact
public institutions, related undeniably to the states, it would be illegal and unconstitutional to have
them not distinctly separated from any church. Different would be, obviously, talking about private
religious schools; those are in fact called independent schools or, more commonly, nonstate schools
which means, literally, not administered by any government, local, state or national. According to the
Council for American Private Education (CAPE), even if the percentage of students attending Catholic
schools has declined since 1995, it still reaches 12 %, which is an extremely high number; while
among the top five reasons for parents to home school their children with a 36 % agreement, as
reported by the National Center for Education Statistics appears a desire to provide religious
instruction. This statement confirms that if parents do want their sons and daughters to learn about
religion in a scholastic context, the only way to achieve

Foreign imports fell drastically from 1919 1921 and from 1925 to 1927.
Chinese industries continue to develop in the 1930s with the advent of the Nanking decade in the
1930s, when Chiang Kai shek unified most of the country and brought political stability. China s
industries developed and grew from 1927 to 1931. Though badly hit by the Great Depression from
1931 to 1935 and Japan s occupation of Manchuria in 1931, industrial output recovered by 1936. By
1936, industrial output had recovered and surpassed its previous peak in 1931 prior to the Great
Depression s effects on China. This is best shown by the trends in Chinese GDP. In 1932, China s
GDP peaked at 28.8 billion, before falling to 21.3 billion by 1934 and recovering to 23.7 billion by

The rural economy retained much of the characteristics of the Late Qing. While markets had been
forming since the Song and Ming dynasties, Chinese agriculture by the Republic of China was almost
completely geared towards producing cash crops for foreign consumption, and was thus subject to the
say of the international markets. Key exports included glue, tea, silk, sugar cane, tobacco, cotton, corn
and peanuts.
The rural economy was hit hard by the Great Depression of the 1930s, in which an overproduction of
agricultural goods lead to massive falling prices for China as well as an increase in foreign imports (as

Mortgage Fraud, Fraud And Fraud
Mortgage fraud is one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States. (Freddie Mac, 2015) There
are three categories of mortgage fraud, fraud for housing, fraud for profit and fraud for criminal
enterprise. Fraud for profit schemes are conducted by a group of people who play multiple roles in the
fraud. The masterminds or initiators receive the largest percentage of the profit while others in the
scheme may receive a few thousand dollars for their part in the misrepresentation. Mortgage brokers
and loan processors create fictitious credit profiles and conspire with real estate appraisers to inflate
property values. For profit schemes often involve multiple industry professionals/insiders and multiple
transactions. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Measuring these fluctuations is difficult and often leads to risk underestimated with growth and
overestimated in recessions. In an economic boom, this contributes to rapid credit growth, to inflated
collateral values. In recessions, when risk and loan defaults are accessed to be high the reverse tends
to be the case. Many banks will take on more risks knowing that they could always transfer a large
part of them. This may lead to Collusion Fraud or Fraud or profit which is the most costly type of
fraud.

In the beginning of the story, the mood is dark, mysterious, and gloomy. Poe creates this mood

(1) that depict the surroundings to be eerie and depressing. The ancient family displays themselves in

Poe uses looks to describe him. Roderick now has the appearance of a ghastly pallor of the skin...[and]

Triangle Fire Research Paper
Karley M. Vahl #27 7 G Monday, April 23, 2018 Friday, May 4, 2018 The Triangle Factory Fire at the
Asch Building What happened the day of the Triangle Fire? What progressed after it? On Saturday,
March 25, 1911. At 4:25, which was 5 minutes before closing time at the Triangle Shirt Factory. The
Triangle factory, owned by Max Blanck and Isaac Harris, was located on the top three floors of the
Asch Building, floors 8, 9, and 10. Some cutters were smoking, even though it was prohibited.
Though it is not certain, people believe that a cutter flicked a cigarette butt or hot ash, into one of the
waste bins with flammable cloth in them. Many of the garment workers before the year of 1911 were

This incident has had great significance to this day because it highlights the inhumane working
conditions. The Triangle Fire tragically illustrated that fire inspections and precautions were woefully
inadequate at the time. Outraged cries calling for action to improve the unsafe conditions in
workshops could be heard from every quarter, from the mainstream conservative to the progressive
and union press. The role that strong unions could have in helping prevent such tragedies became
clear. Workers organized in powerful unions would be more conscious of their rights and better able to
obtain safe working conditions. Immediately after the fire, Triangle owners Blanck and Harris
declared in interviews that their building was fireproof, and that it had just been approved by the
Department of Buildings, but the building lacked the third required staircase. On December 27, twenty
three days after the trial had started, a jury acquitted Blanck and Harris of any wrongdoing. Brought to
court, he was fined twenty dollars, and the judge apologized to him for the imposition. Twenty three
individual civil suits were brought against the owners of the Asch

Excessive Survivalism Is A Sport
Excessive survivalism is a sport in when athletes are obsessed with winning and will do anything to
achieve that goal of winning. Players will find ways to bend the rules or cheat just to achieve the
victory over their opponent. The need to win games will overrule the player s morals and beliefs as a
person. This is a huge problem athletes face when it comes to sports. They become so obsessed with
winning that it becomes the only objective they focus on. Some athletes even put their health at risk.
In some cases athletes will sustain an injury and will not let the team know so they can take the proper
protocol just so they can they can stay in the game. In other cases, a player may do something that is
considered dirty or against the rules just to get the edge over their opponent, and that might not be
how the player is as a person outside of their sport but when it comes to the game they will do
anything they need to do survive and win. Runaway individualism in sports is when a player is all
about their self. Players that tend to have runaway individualism are the ones who are only worried
about their own success instead of team success. These players do not look at their team as a family,
they see their teammates as individuals who they just have to share the field or court with. These
players usually do not have a stable home, they bounce around from team to team because they are
labeled as selfish players. A perfect example of runaway individualism is when

thing that opens the seals is the lamb, better known as Jesus Christ. There are many theories of when
they have appeared in the past and where they will appear in the future. There are different
interpretations of what and who they represent. No one really knows why they come or when. My goal

Social Class Hierarchies In Pygmalion By George Bernard Shaw
On the surface, the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw is a modernized, real life spin off of the
Greek myth of Pygmalion, in which a sculptor falls in love with a statue that he has carved. One can
easily argue that Professor Higgins plays the role of the sculptor, as he molds Eliza, the statue, into
something more desirable throughout the entirety of the play. However, when digging deeper into the
text through the use of close reading, I found that the play itself outlined and symbolized the
differences in social class hierarchies. In fact, I think that the text was a medium that the author used
to display a social experiment, and highlight the advantages and disadvantages that the changing of
social hierarchies is able to provide. The play opens with a dark, rainy scene that introduces the
majority of the main characters right away. Eliza, referred to as the Flower Girl is initially depicted as
a ragged, grimy individual hopelessly trying to sell flowers to people leaving a theater after a show.
Nearby, Professor Higgins and Colonel Pickering are depicted as well dressed, stable individuals that
are referred to as the Note Taker and the Gentleman respectively. In this particular scene, I think that
Shaw does a great job of showing upfront differences in social structure, as the Flower Girl is
representative of the poorer, lower class community, while the Note Taker and the Gentleman are
displaying the wealthier upper class. The fact that the two social

Ridley Scott s Use of Mise-en-Scene to Convey Atmosphere...
There was a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it
would vanish, it was so fragile.
The film Gladiator was released in 2000. A thrilling action film, it was a huge success, scooping five
Oscars and earning over $427 million dollars. Sir Ridley Scott who directed the film already had many
great films to his name, such as Alien , Blade Runner and American Gangster , so it was no surprise
when this film became one of the highest earners of the year 2000. The mise en scene used throughout
was, perhaps, behind the genius that made this film as much of a success today as it was nine years
ago.
An example of this in the opening sequence is the music. Beginning calm and gently, the ... Show

There is a close up of his face, which allows the viewer to see every emotion, which adds an essence
of vulnerability to a character that is more often than not, perceived as the complete opposite. It is also
used to emphasise the fact that Maximus is the character the film will be based around. Following the
close up, there is a shot of a robin sitting on the branch of a tree, after a short while it flies away,
perhaps sensing danger. The shot is then back to Maximus, who is smiling sadly, possibly at the
thought of the robin being able to fly away from it all, when he can t. The way that mise en scene has
been used to depict a slight fear in the character of Maximus, adds contrast to his personality, which in
turn adds depth, leaving the audience feeling able to connect to him. The music in this scene makes it
almost haunting as it creates a calm yet uneasy atmosphere. Maximus is wearing gold in this which,
not only continues the theme of gold, but also represents his authority. The combination of this strong,
powerful figure being slightly fearful at what lies ahead, adds to the uneasy atmosphere. The lighting
in the sequence is also a lot darker than the previous which adds to the implication that the atmosphere
is about to change, this along with the non diegetic sounds like the wind blowing and the distant sound
of birds, help create a really dramatic, prominent sequence which leads on

Industrialization Of The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution was a revolution in every sense of the word, as it altered almost every
aspect of live in the nineteenth century including technology, government, communication,
environment and eventually society as a whole.1 Although industrialisation created many positives for
modern society, for people in Britain up to the end of the nineteenth century it had many significantly
negative consequences. With the long term advances made for society came the then current
development of overcrowding cities abundant with pollution, health problems and poor living
conditions for the working class. These poor conditions continued into the work place with young
children exploited as workers as young as the age of four or five.2 There were consequences of the
Industrial Revolution for people outside of the core of Britain. India, being the periphery in the model
were exploited for their raw materials which were exported to Britain.
Through research the primary interpretation of the industrialisation has been positive, with some light
now being put upon some of the negative aspects of the industrial revolution, through sources which
were obtained in those times. The British Child Labour Inquiry (as cited in Stearns, Gosch, Grieshaber
and Belzer, 2012, pp. 121 122) acts as one of these primary sources. It was an inquiry conducted on
Abraham Whitehead on the conditions for British children who were forced to work in wool mills.

A Study On Common Cancer Treatments Essay
BACKGROUND Common cancer treatments such as anthracyclines and trastuzumab are associated
with an increased risk of cardiotoxicity, which is responsible for significant mortality and morbidity in
cancer survivors.[1, 2] Assessment of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) has been, and continues
to be the most widely used method for cardiotoxicity risk assessment prior to, surveillance during, and
surveillance after administration of potentially cardiotoxic cancer treatment.[3] Since the 1970s,[4]
multiple gated acquisition scanning (MUGA) has been the preferred imaging modality for baseline
and serial assessment of LVEF for cardiotoxicity. There is concern that contemporary gamma cameras
may not allow optimal patient positioning for LVEF assessments.[3] Thus, it is possible that
contemporary MUGA in cancer patients may not provide accurate estimates of LVEFs. Inaccurate
LVEF assessment may carry significant implications for the care of cancer patients receiving
potentially cardiotoxic treatment since LVEFs play an important role in decisions to start, continue,
hold or stop such treatment. The objective of this study was to compare the accuracy of LVEFs
obtained by contemporary clinical MUGA in consecutive patients with cancer with reference LVEFs
from cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), the gold standard technique for assessment
of left ventricular volumes and systolic function.[5] METHODS Patients and data collection The

Essay about The Globalization of Child Labor
Globalization of an idea or practice can be very beneficial worldwide, but globalization can also effect
countries and people negatively. Child labor was once an immense issue in the United States;
however, we now have laws protecting children from dangerous working conditions. Unfortunately,
children in countries like India and Africa are still falling victim to harsh working conditions. These
developing nations have the same problem that the United States had years ago; children are working
long hours with little pay and are working in very dangerous environments. India and Africa have
industries that are growing rapidly, but because these nations are so poor, they have to rely on children
to do most of the work because it is the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was the start of child labor issues in the United States. To help support the family, every available
family member had to become employed, and the children had the worst working conditions out of
anyone. They often worked ten to fourteen hours a day with usually no breaks during work shifts.
Rural families also thought it was in their best interest to move to the city. Unfortunately, the children
in rural areas also went through most of the same conditions. They worked long hours just like the
factory children, and they also were not supervised as much, so there was more of a possibility for
things to go wrong (Rich). The main problem with this is the obvious problem; this is mistreatment
towards the youth and extremely dangerous and unfair. Fortunately, the rest of the country thought the
same way and laws were put in place. According to Child Labor Public Education Project, between
the years of 1918 and 1926, Child Labor laws were passed that protected children. Children with non
agricultural jobs that have hazardous situations and tasks have to be at least eighteen years old. For
agricultural employment with hazardous situations the minimum age was set at sixteen years of age

shots, sickness, infections. Thinking about it such as to who would ever want to deal with that?
Making people feel better can make a difference. The decision to be an RN was taking a trip to urgent
care a late afternoon evening. Those RN s and Doctor helped what was hurting and it was similar to
walking out a different person. Growing up throughout the years and maturing , being an RN is a
dream job. A registered nurse requires an education and many skills to succeed ( Registered Nurses:
Occupational Outlook Handbook:: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics ). What it takes to be an RN is it
takes many skills to succeed in this profession. Schedule and education are very important in an RN

Assess The Goal Of Drug Development
Drug development is the process of bringing a new pharmaceutical drug to the market. The main goal
of drug development is to produce safe and efficacious therapeutic products for the promotion of
health, and the prevention, cure and treatment of disease.
In order to assess the safety and effectiveness of new drugs, they are extensively tested before being
used in isolated cells, tissue slices or organs. Firstly, a new medical drug is tested using computer
models and human cells grown in the laboratory. If the drug passes the first stage it is then tested on
animals. In the UK, new medicines have to undergo these tests, but it is illegal to test cosmetics and
tobacco products on animals.
Animal testing involves giving a known amount of the substance

Summary Of The Simpsons And Their Mathematical Secrets By...
The Simpsons and Their Mathematical Secrets by Simon Singh is a trade book that talks about the
history of The Simpsons and Futurama and how mathematics is embedded into numerous episodes in
each series. Along the way Singh, in addition to the other main writers for The Simpsons, talk about
many of the subtle math jokes that are present. These jokes range from very simple jokes that students
in elementary school could understand to jokes that not even some mathematics professors with
doctorate degrees can decipher. Singh said that everything that happens to us has some effect on us,
and I do suppose that the time I spent in grad school made me a better writer at the end of the book.
He recalls when he was younger and he was working on numerous projects in mathematics. In
addition to being a bright student, he had the ability to make jokes. Eventually, several famous people
in television such as Johnny Carson and David Letterman noticed this and gave him an in in the
entertainment business. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Human Cloning Is Not More Difficult Than Cloning
Human cloning involves removing the nucleus of a human egg and replacing it with the nucleus of an
existing person (Glannon, p. 89). It is the genetic duplication of an existing person (CGS). Identical
twins are a naturally occurring cloning (Science Daily). Several countries worldwide have bans on
human cloning (Kilner). The U.S. government has cut funding for cloning research (Kilner).
Arguments in favor of human cloning point out the benefits of advancing technology, while those
against question the effect it has on human dignity and even the clone itself.
Although the clone has the DNA of the donor, the clone will have epigenetic effects. Epigenetic
disturbances refer to the altered physical structures of the DNA, but not the DNA sequence itself
(Epigenetics). Cloning technology has produced clones of several mammals, including sheep, mice,
goats, and horses (AMA). Cloning humans is technically more difficult than cloning other mammals
(Cloning Fact Sheet). The process is still extremely inefficient and rarely produces viable cells. Those
usable cells are unlikely to survive until birth (AMA). So far, animal cloning research has caused
death and deformities of the clone (Kilner). Dolly, a cloned sheep, aged rapidly and had to be
euthanized at six years old (Glannon, p91). We can assume that human cloning will also have a dismal
failure rate (AMA). It would be considered unethical to attempt to produce human clones due to the
potential physical harm to the cloned child

The Role of the Noble Lie in the Iliad and the Republic
Lie
2 : something that misleads or deceives
Noble
5 : possessing, characterized by, or arising from superiority of mind or character or of ideals or morals
(Merriam Webster Dictionary)
The very thought of a noble lie is contradictory, yet Plato uses it as the basis for stability within his
perfect republic. The concept that a lie so deeply ingrained in society will allow it to remain peaceful
is generally thought to be unique to Plato. This is because Plato s idea of the noble lie is one that is at
the very root of society one that is accepted as a truth. What makes Plato s Noble Lie such a hallmark
of knowledge is that it has never been tested, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Conversely, when a soldier is filled with angst and attempts to strike down a more powerful being an
immortal or when an immortal influences a mortal by asserting his or her power, war breaks out.
Achilles, in Book I, proclaims, Remind [Zeus] of that, now, go and sit beside him, grasp his knees . . .
persuade him, somehow, to help the Trojan cause, to pin the Achaeans back against their ship, trap
them round the bay and mow them down (484 488). If Achilles had not believed that immortals were
more powerful, he would not have attempted to directly influence his mother Thetis a goddess. To
preserve the integrity of the lie, Achilles couldn t even exist. His existence is proof that the noble lie is
untrue, as he as the offspring of a mortal and immortal, and possesses powers greater than the
common mortal. If Achilles did not exist, the Iliad, a story about his wrath and anger, could not exist
meaning there would be peace between the Achaeans and Trojans. However, the noble lie within the
Iliad still remains; mortals and immortals should not interact. Because Achilles appeals to his mother,
the war continues.
Although the means to the ends may be different when comparing the the role of a noble lie in the
Iliad and the Republic, the ends of the lie remains the same. Plato introduces the lie by writing:
Could we, I said, somehow contrive one of those lies that come

Junipero Frances Mission Statement
Junipero Serra was essentially the founder of the mission system and he set much of the precedent as
to how the missions would run and treat the indigenous people. Serra s work on the missions had large
effects on the native people besides just spreading Christianity to the New World. More recently, Serra
s canonization has been a rather controversial topic due to the history surrounding his treatment of the
natives and the overall results of the missions. The Catholic Church is aware of this history and still
chose to make Junipero Serra a saint even with the protests by different Native American groups.
However, the Catholic Church feels they have good reason as to why Serra is considered a saint
regardless of these arguments. This is an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As mentioned by PBS, He was notorious for his mortifications of the flesh: wearing heavy shirts with
sharp wires pointed inward, whipping himself to the point of bleeding, and using a candle to scar the
flesh of his chest (PBS.org). This shows how he used violence in his form of practice and when it
came to the natives, he had no problem treating them as he did himself. Mortifications of the flesh was
one principle he lived by and it became a part of the way the missions worked. Junipero Serra became
involved with the missions when the Jesuits were expelled from New Spain and Serra was chosen to
take over the missions. He had a complete new vision for the missions that included forcing the
natives to live on the mission and attend mass twice everyday. Women were to be separated from men
so that there would be no possibility of sin in the missions. Serra s ultimate goal for the missions was
to convert as many natives as possible because he believed in the power and greatness of his
religion(Castillo 55 70). In his lifetime, Serra founded nine missions and converted around 5,000
natives in present day California(PBS.org). Spain was more than pleased with Serra s work with the
missions because they felt it gave Spain control over Alta California. They encouraged the missions
and began sending more friars to aid in the process that Serra had created(Castillo 70 75). In addition

Parallels Between Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now
Various parallels can be drawn when comparing and contrasting Joseph Conrad s Heart of Darkness
and Frank Coppola s Apocalypse Now , while taking into consideration Heart of Darkness is a novella
and Apocalypse Now is a film. These differences and similarities can be seen in themes, characters,
events and other small snippets of information including anything from quoted lines to strange actions
of the main characters. Both pieces follow the same story line but they are presented in different
contexts, allowing for many differences as well as the ability to see how Conrad is able to write a
piece of literature that can be transposed to many different settings regardless the time period and still
convey the same message of colonialism. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is similar, for the exception that in one they are on the ship in which the shelling occurs, versus
simply being a bystander. It shows how `fire happy these men were ready to fight and kill without a
motive.
Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now both embody the theme of madness and insanity. In Heart of
Darkness madness and insanity come as a result of imperialism, Africa is responsible for mental
disintegration as well as for physical illness. Madness, in Heart of Darkness, is the result of being
removed from ones normal environment and how each person adapts and then re adapts to society.
The same theme of madness and insanity can be seen in Coppola s Apocalypse Now. Many of the
soldier s are just kids, barely 18 or 19, and have little mental stability, since being thrown into a
context that is so foreign to them, where their life is on the line every minute. Men like Chef and
Lance are ready to snap at any moment because of the shock and realization of where they are, what
they are doing, and the fear of not knowing where they are headed. Coppola confronts the insanity of
war through Kurtz and the other young men, he is able to depict what it was like for these men, and
why so many men after serving in Vietnam suffered Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
One interesting event that is different is the endings of Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now. In
Heart of Darkness, Kurtz is dying of a slow death and indeed

Hydrilla Florida Waterways Case Study
VIII. Interdisciplinary Understanding/Solution
In studying the problem of hydrilla Florida waterways, it was apparent that management of this
invasive species must take an interdisciplinary approach. The economic indicators with the possibility
of lost revenue, water usage, and habitat biodiversity drive the need for control. According to Corn, at
the federal level there is a need for comprehensive legislature to address invasive species. The current
process in reporting an invasive species problem can run into time constraints working through the
many agencies to achieve funding. A rapid response is desired to quickly remove the plant before it
spreads beyond the ability to control. It is believed that hydrilla is so wide spread today that control
can only be achieved through managing feasible levels of it within the limits of funding. Two new
integrating approaches are proposed to aid in the goal of reaching sustainable ... Show more content

the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and the Florida Fish and Wildlife

Status Symbols
Social class is best described as a large group of people close to one another in property, power, and
prestige. (227) These three things effect our lives more than anyone gives them credit for. They also
mainly go hand in hand with one another. Property is exactly what you think it is. It is the house you
own, the land you have but it is also the jewelry you have, your bank accounts. When you add up the
value of someones propter and subtract their debts you are left with what is called wealth. (227) With
that being said sometimes wealth and income are confused, wealth is the value of the things you own
while income is your flow of money, and they can differ greatly at times. A good example used by our
sociology book is that a famed has all of his land and animals yet has a dry season and cannot sell his

Prestige is the respect or regard someone or something has. Jobs have prestige from more pay, they
required more education, involved more abstract thought, and offer greater independence. The people
who hold jobs with higher prestige also gain prestige. These rankings are constant not only in America
but across the globe. Status symbols are things that people buy to outwardly show how much money
they have to gain them prestige with others. Status symbols are not only things you can wear, it can be
the place you gained your education. How everyone prefers name brand foods over say great value
brand is a form of status symbolism. It is important to try and fully understand the inter workings of
social class in the U.S. because we are confined to social classes. A good comprehensive
understanding of the class system is to understand why people do certain things, what situations they
are faced with, and the opportunities they have. These social classes not only affect our wealth it
effects our health, family lives, education and even religion. This social stratification is what has led to

What a copy editor does with a draft of a story going to print:
looks for missing words, missing elements of the story, missing attributes. For example, if a person

looks for inconsistencies, eg. proper nouns spelled two different ways. (Always use spell check to help

Sangahvi cites reasons other than the 21 year age law that contribute to binge drinking such as weak
state and campus alcohol control policies...and the presence of lots of bingeing older adults
(Sangahvi). In Sangahvi s article, a notation from David Rosenbloom of the Institute of Medicine
concluded that higher taxes reduce alcohol abuse and related harm to young adults and notes the five
states with the highest beer taxes have half the binge drinking [rates] of other states (Rosenbloom in
Sangahvi). The last major part of this debate is maturity. How old is old enough? Sangahvi mentions
the thing most people think first, singling out alcohol to make it off limits is odd, since 18 year olds
may legally join the military, vote, buy cigarettes.. (Sangahvi). Chris Alexander says This [age 18]
marks the time when children become legally responsible for their actions in American society. This is
when they are considered adults (Alexander). The National Youth Rights Association addresses the
developmental aspect of the argument by saying Your body and mind improve all through out life. A
21 year old is different from an 18 year old, just as a 41 year old is different from a 38 year old. Youth
Prohibition activists ignore the fact that maturity is a gradual but uneven process that continues
throughout life and is not complete on one s twenty first birthday (http://www.youthrights.org).

butterflies and the Party System of the country that seems to be arbitrariness of its existence.
At first, since I wasn t able to appreciate public administration and that I wasn t able to take legislative
course, it was hard for me to actually articulate from that point on and start doing things. But after
reading piles of documents, books, articles and etc, watching and reading news, continuous
researching and several informal discussions with classmates, elderly and some people with authority
to the subject matter, what I have to do with my research becomes clearer and more interesting.
I can actually say mine s a good topic. It is very much political and indeed has social relevance. It
concerns the society as a whole and

Analysis Of Whale Done By Ken Blanchard
The book, Whale Done, written by Ken Blanchard, exemplifies how a business manager named Wes
Kinsley learns the key to managing relationships while on a trip to SeaWorld. Kinsley uncovers the
secret to managing positive relationships with people by witnessing how trainers at SeaWorld receive
incredible responses from their whales by highlighting their positive behaviour, and ignoring or
redirecting their negative behaviours. In the book, Blanchard contrasts the GOTcha manager, one who
seeks to only accentuate the negative properties of individuals actions with the WHALE DONE
manager, who highlights and tries to reinforce positive behaviour. The goal of Blanchard is for readers
to understand the application of the Whale Done! management ... Show more content on

However, Blanchard fails to discuss the importance of negative responses in communication. Negative
responses are useful in order to keep workers inline and stopping them from breaking rules. It can be
necessary in many situations; however, managers of today still abuse negative responses. There are
examples of modern day managers using negative responses and finding success. For example, John
Tortorella, the head coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the National Hockey League has found
success from yelling at players and criticizing them, but he actually went on to win the Stanley Cup in
2004 with the Tampa Bay Lightning, winning the Jacks Adam award for attributing the most to his
teams success. (Cooper, 2015). He is often seen as a villain in the hockey community, but his success
is clearly attributable to his negative responses and negative attitude. This tough relationship he has
with his players must improve their play because he has been a coach on and off in the league since
2001. Blanchard s ideologies clearly go against everything John Tortorella stands for, but there is no
denying his success. This style of management can be successful in some places, and modern
managers have to understand when to apply this style. Clearly Blanchard s methods are successful, but
so are

Applying Normalized Tables And The Model Of The Entity...
then be able to identify the dependencies between the attributes, and then create normalized tables
directly based on those dependencies. More often than not this can be done mentally or on paper
before the tables are even added to the actual design.
Normalization appropriates the affiliation amongst all of the attributes within the entity table to
achieve its goal. Since the Entity Relationship Diagram will also contain the appropriations amongst
the attributes, as a common base to identify the entity type structure, than it is possible to then apply
the normalization principles, all during the conceptual data modeling phase. Enacting Normalization
during the Entity Relationship Diagram can then improve the conceptual model, and therefore ...

The relationship are then indicated by the common columns, or the domains, in the data tables are
related. The Transitive Dependency within an entity type takes place of the non entity attributive
attributes have dependency amongst there selves. Multi Valued dependency likeness in the Entity
Relationship Diagram can take place when the attributes within the entity example have more than one
value. This is a potential instance when some attributes within an entity examples have the maximum
cardinality of n, or more than 1. When the attribute has lots of values in an entity example, this can be
setup either as the composite key modifier of the entity type, or then split into the weak entity type.
Normalized Entity Relationship represents the dependency approach in Entity Relationship Diagram
toward the intended use in the application of normal form. Normalization is a many step occurrence
that begins with unnormalized relations. The first set up in normalization is to appropriate the data into
a two dimensional table. In an unnormalized relation the data can repeat within the columns. To be
able to move to a first normal form a relation must also contain only the atomic values at each of the
rows and columns. So this means no repeating groups, and a set of columns will be named the
Candidate key when its value can

The Importance Of Love In Romeo And Juliet
Now many would call Romeo and Juliet the play that teaches us that love, at first sight, is real. While
reading this play the only thing the audience will be able to understand from this story is that love
holds no bounds, that some love is forever. In class, we came to the conclusion that this play is about
immature, naive, stubborn kids who do not understand the concept of what real love is. Their demised
stemmed from a fast paced relationship which bloomed from rejection. Stupidity, naivety,
stubbornness, and immaturity are all traits that may be used to describe Romeo Montague. Now, these
traits shaped Romeo to be the most irresponsible guy ever which lead him and his supposed love to
their demise. Now it is not to be said that Juliet was not at fault, on the contrary, she is also to blame
for their demise because the traits Romeo has she seems to have too. Most of these ideas seem pretty
petty for older people, which is why it weighs so heavy on them, they are children, if they would have
waited to even commence their relationship they would have outgrown most of these traits and their
demise may have been avoided altogether. At the beginning of the play, we see Romeo carry the same
feelings that he expresses for Juliet for someone else. Before there was Juliet in Romeo s life there
was Rosaline, another Capulet. If you see how Romeo expresses his feelings for Rosaline, you can see
that it is the same way he later expresses them for Juliet. An example of this would be

Skin Rash Research Paper
Essential Oils For Skin Rash
So you have a skin rash. You may not know why you have one but the skin is red, itchy, and it hurts a
bit. Medical websites, such as the one for the Mayo Clinic, state that viruses, fungi, bacteria, parasites,
heat and even some forms of medication may cause skin rashes. There are also some fairly common
skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, and dermatitis that can result in a rash. There
are many natural essential oils that are tailor made for treating skin conditions. If you have a skin rash
you should look for essential oils that have antiseptic, anti viral, anti infectious (so the rash won t
spread to others), and antibacterial properties. There are even some oils that are also anti fungal, and
that will kill parasites. There are also anti inflammatory properties in some of the essential oils that
will help with swelling, and analgesic properties in some that will help with ... Show more content on

Tea tree anti inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and anti infectious.
Frankincense analgesic, anti inflammatory, cicatrisant, and has skin healing properties.
You can use the essential oils individually or combine two or more in blends. It is important to use a
light carrier oil (sunflower, jojoba, sweet almond) or carrier lotion when treating skin rashes. If you
have sensitive skin try fractionated coconut oil or olive oil.

  • 2. Unhealthy Food Choices, Lack Of Parental Guidance, And A... In 2012, one third of adolescents were either overweight or obese and 18% of 6 11 year olds were obese; that is a staggering statistic (CDC). This can cause life long problems for these children. In this essay, I will show you that unhealthy food choices, lack of parental guidance, and a sedentary lifestyle are some of the leading causes of obesity in our children. For instance, these days with most parents having to work outside the home, there is not much time spent cooking healthy meals. Most children come home to an empty house and many do not know how to cook, so unless there is something prepared for them ahead of time, they head straight for the junk food. Plus, with all the inexpensive convenience foods that are on the shelves these days it makes it too easy for one to whip up a family meal or snack in just minutes in the microwave. The problem with these convenience foods is that they are usually high in fat, sugar, and calories (Sorte, Daeschel, Amador 5). Not only are convenience foods bad for you, but also too are the so called fast foods. If you go to any local fast food restaurant and order one cheeseburger meal with fries and a soda, you have literally eaten your whole days calories in one meal and two days worth of fat. For instance a Whopper Value Meal contains: 1430 calories, 65 grams of fat, 1930 mg. sodium, 85 mg. cholesterol, 89 grams sugar, 0 vitamins, 0 calcium and 0 iron. Tone mapping technique used to map high dynamic range images to low dynamic range image that will be displayed on recent devices, thus keeping the image looking realistic. The tone mapping operators can be classified into two categories: global operators and local operators. Global operator task depends on the same mapping function is used for all the pixels of the input HDR image so, global operators can be described as spatially uniform methods. Global tone mapping operators are computationally very simple and maintain the intensity orders of the original scenes thus avoiding halo artifacts, but cause loss of details in the mapped images. Local operators which reproduce the tonal values in a spatially variant manner because mapping function processes for each individual pixel. Local operators characterized that more satisfying than global operators in terms of the detail preservation and compression ratio of the dynamic range. Also, there are two tone mapping model linear tone mapping model and nonlinear tone mapping model. Linear model does not need multiscale decomposition or segmentation of the images into binary or fractional maps, where the problems associated with layer decomposition are not found. There are two schools of thought in which scholars such as art historians and archeologist debate about what the real significance and purpose of Borobudur is about. For example, a group of scholars argues that Borobudur is stupa. This contrasts the other scholars who contends that Borobudur is a mandala. Although both groups of scholars adequately analyze Borobudur and provide evidence to support their arguments, the argument that the Buddhist temple is both a mandala and stupa is rational. In this paper, I will present evidence from both sides of the argument, in which Borobudur has ignited copious amounts of controversy for in the scholarly communities. However, at the end, I will argue that I disagree with both schools of thought because Borobudur is actually both a stupa and a mandala. A stupa is a mound like circular structure that contains the relics of a Buddha. Buddhist frequently participate in pilgrimages to stupas because of worship opportunities. Although Buddhist architects built Borobudur in the 9th century, but academics do not know what the original purposes of what the structure was constructed for. However, though visual and architectural evidence many academics believe that Borobudur is a stupa. Different would be, obviously, talking about private religious schools; those are in fact called independent schools or, more commonly, nonstate schools which means, literally, not administered by any government, local, state or national. Players will find ways to bend the rules or cheat just to achieve the victory over their opponent. The need to win games will overrule the player s morals and beliefs as a person. This is a huge problem athletes face when it comes to sports. They become so obsessed with winning that it becomes the only objective they focus on. Some athletes even put their health at risk. In some cases athletes will sustain an injury and will not let the team know so they can take the proper protocol just so they can they can stay in the game. In other cases, a player may do something that is considered dirty or against the rules just to get the edge over their opponent, and that might not be how the player is as a person outside of their sport but when it comes to the game they will do anything they need to do survive and win. Runaway individualism in sports is when a player is all about their self. Players that tend to have runaway individualism are the ones who are only worried about their own success instead of team success. These players do not look at their team as a family, they see their teammates as individuals who they just have to share the field or court with. These players usually do not have a stable home, they bounce around from team to team because they are labeled as selfish players. A perfect example of runaway individualism is when ... Social Class Hierarchies In Pygmalion By George Bernard Shaw On the surface, the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw is a modernized, real life spin off of the Greek myth of Pygmalion, in which a sculptor falls in love with a statue that he has carved. One can easily argue that Professor Higgins plays the role of the sculptor, as he molds Eliza, the statue, into something more desirable throughout the entirety of the play. However, when digging deeper into the text through the use of close reading, I found that the play itself outlined and symbolized the differences in social class hierarchies. In fact, I think that the text was a medium that the author used to display a social experiment, and highlight the advantages and disadvantages that the changing of social hierarchies is able to provide. The play opens with a dark, rainy scene that introduces the majority of the main characters right away. Eliza, referred to as the Flower Girl is initially depicted as a ragged, grimy individual hopelessly trying to sell flowers to people leaving a theater after a show. Nearby, Professor Higgins and Colonel Pickering are depicted as well dressed, stable individuals that are referred to as the Note Taker and the Gentleman respectively. In this particular scene, I think that Shaw does a great job of showing upfront differences in social structure, as the Flower Girl is representative of the poorer, lower class community, while the Note Taker and the Gentleman are displaying the wealthier upper class. The fact that the two social ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Industrialization Of The Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution was a revolution in every sense of the word, as it altered almost every aspect of live in the nineteenth century including technology, government, communication, environment and eventually society as a whole.1 Although industrialisation created many positives for modern society, for people in Britain up to the end of the nineteenth century it had many significantly negative consequences. With the long term advances made for society came the then current development of overcrowding cities abundant with pollution, health problems and poor living conditions for the working class. These poor conditions continued into the work place with young children exploited as workers as young as the age of four or five.2 There were consequences of the Industrial Revolution for people outside of the core of Britain. • 18. A Study On Common Cancer Treatments Essay BACKGROUND Common cancer treatments such as anthracyclines and trastuzumab are associated with an increased risk of cardiotoxicity, which is responsible for significant mortality and morbidity in cancer survivors.[1, 2] Assessment of left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) has been, and continues to be the most widely used method for cardiotoxicity risk assessment prior to, surveillance during, and surveillance after administration of potentially cardiotoxic cancer treatment.[3] Since the 1970s,[4] multiple gated acquisition scanning (MUGA) has been the preferred imaging modality for baseline and serial assessment of LVEF for cardiotoxicity. There is concern that contemporary gamma cameras may not allow optimal patient positioning for LVEF assessments.[3] Thus, it is possible that contemporary MUGA in cancer patients may not provide accurate estimates of LVEFs. Inaccurate LVEF assessment may carry significant implications for the care of cancer patients receiving potentially cardiotoxic treatment since LVEFs play an important role in decisions to start, continue, hold or stop such treatment. The objective of this study was to compare the accuracy of LVEFs obtained by contemporary clinical MUGA in consecutive patients with cancer with reference LVEFs from cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), the gold standard technique for assessment of left ventricular volumes and systolic function.[5] METHODS Patients and data collection The study sample consisted of ... The main goal of drug development is to produce safe and efficacious therapeutic products for the promotion of health, and the prevention, cure and treatment of disease. In order to assess the safety and effectiveness of new drugs, they are extensively tested before being used in isolated cells, tissue slices or organs. Firstly, a new medical drug is tested using computer models and human cells grown in the laboratory. If the drug passes the first stage it is then tested on animals. The Simpsons and Their Mathematical Secrets by Simon Singh is a trade book that talks about the history of The Simpsons and Futurama and how mathematics is embedded into numerous episodes in each series. Along the way Singh, in addition to the other main writers for The Simpsons, talk about many of the subtle math jokes that are present. These jokes range from very simple jokes that students in elementary school could understand to jokes that not even some mathematics professors with doctorate degrees can decipher. Singh said that everything that happens to us has some effect on us, and I do suppose that the time I spent in grad school made me a better writer at the end of the book. • 23. Human Cloning Is Not More Difficult Than Cloning Human cloning involves removing the nucleus of a human egg and replacing it with the nucleus of an existing person (Glannon, p. 89). It is the genetic duplication of an existing person (CGS). Identical twins are a naturally occurring cloning (Science Daily). Several countries worldwide have bans on human cloning (Kilner). The U.S. government has cut funding for cloning research (Kilner). Arguments in favor of human cloning point out the benefits of advancing technology, while those against question the effect it has on human dignity and even the clone itself. Although the clone has the DNA of the donor, the clone will have epigenetic effects. Epigenetic disturbances refer to the altered physical structures of the DNA, but not the DNA sequence itself (Epigenetics). Cloning technology has produced clones of several mammals, including sheep, mice, goats, and horses (AMA). Cloning humans is technically more difficult than cloning other mammals (Cloning Fact Sheet). The process is still extremely inefficient and rarely produces viable cells. Those usable cells are unlikely to survive until birth (AMA). So far, animal cloning research has caused death and deformities of the clone (Kilner). Dolly, a cloned sheep, aged rapidly and had to be euthanized at six years old (Glannon, p91). We can assume that human cloning will also have a dismal failure rate (AMA). It would be considered unethical to attempt to produce human clones due to the potential physical harm to the cloned child ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Role of the Noble Lie in the Iliad and the Republic Lie 2 : something that misleads or deceives Noble 5 : possessing, characterized by, or arising from superiority of mind or character or of ideals or morals (Merriam Webster Dictionary) The very thought of a noble lie is contradictory, yet Plato uses it as the basis for stability within his perfect republic. The concept that a lie so deeply ingrained in society will allow it to remain peaceful is generally thought to be unique to Plato. Mortifications of the flesh was one principle he lived by and it became a part of the way the missions worked. Junipero Serra became involved with the missions when the Jesuits were expelled from New Spain and Serra was chosen to take over the missions. He had a complete new vision for the missions that included forcing the natives to live on the mission and attend mass twice everyday. Women were to be separated from men so that there would be no possibility of sin in the missions. Serra s ultimate goal for the missions was to convert as many natives as possible because he believed in the power and greatness of his religion(Castillo 55 70). In his lifetime, Serra founded nine missions and converted around 5,000 natives in present day California(PBS.org). Spain was more than pleased with Serra s work with the missions because they felt it gave Spain control over Alta California. Since the Entity Relationship Diagram will also contain the appropriations amongst the attributes, as a common base to identify the entity type structure, than it is possible to then apply the normalization principles, all during the conceptual data modeling phase. Enacting Normalization during the Entity Relationship Diagram can then improve the conceptual model, and therefore ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The relationship are then indicated by the common columns, or the domains, in the data tables are related. The Transitive Dependency within an entity type takes place of the non entity attributive attributes have dependency amongst there selves. Multi Valued dependency likeness in the Entity Relationship Diagram can take place when the attributes within the entity example have more than one value. This is a potential instance when some attributes within an entity examples have the maximum cardinality of n, or more than 1. When the attribute has lots of values in an entity example, this can be setup either as the composite key modifier of the entity type, or then split into the weak entity type. Normalized Entity Relationship represents the dependency approach in Entity Relationship Diagram toward the intended use in the application of normal form. Normalization is a many step occurrence that begins with unnormalized relations. The first set up in normalization is to appropriate the data into a two dimensional table. In an unnormalized relation the data can repeat within the columns. To be able to move to a first normal form a relation must also contain only the atomic values at each of the rows and columns. So this means no repeating groups, and a set of columns will be named the Candidate key when its value can ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

While reading this play the only thing the audience will be able to understand from this story is that love holds no bounds, that some love is forever. In class, we came to the conclusion that this play is about immature, naive, stubborn kids who do not understand the concept of what real love is. Their demised stemmed from a fast paced relationship which bloomed from rejection. Stupidity, naivety, stubbornness, and immaturity are all traits that may be used to describe Romeo Montague. Now, these traits shaped Romeo to be the most irresponsible guy ever which lead him and his supposed love to their demise. Now it is not to be said that Juliet was not at fault, on the contrary, she is also to blame for their demise because the traits Romeo has she seems to have too. Most of these ideas seem pretty petty for older people, which is why it weighs so heavy on them, they are children, if they would have waited to even commence their relationship they would have outgrown most of these traits and their demise may have been avoided altogether. At the beginning of the play, we see Romeo carry the same feelings that he expresses for Juliet for someone else. Before there was Juliet in Romeo s life there was Rosaline, another Capulet. If you see how Romeo expresses his feelings for Rosaline, you can see that it is the same way he later expresses them for Juliet. An example of this would be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
