Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

The lighting is low key because we wanted to put emphasis on the fire and how it looks at night time to create an intense atmosphere. This will ensure that all the audience can see is figures of the actors rather than specific details so they do not get distracted. The natural light will be for when we are doing things that the audience will need to see e.g. pouring gasoline on our props. If the lighting was low key for this then the audience would not be able to see what was happening so we decided to keep the lighting for these scenes natural, but not too early in the day so it is not too bright.
- 4. ACTORS The actors in our music video will be very enigmatic and fairly slow within their actions. Their body language will show frustration and sadness, as a way of portraying a hidden meaning within the song / video, as is often the case in Indie music videos.
- 5. MAKE UP Like costume, this will be very natural and subtle. Some make up – like dirt and soot will be used on the actors hands and possible face, to show they’ve been burning things on a fire.
- 6. PROPS There is going to be many significant props within our music video which have deeper meanings and connotations than it first seems. It is our most significant part of mise-en-scene and is an important convention for the indie genre. Props will include: -Birthday cards – these will get burned and match with the lyrics Gasoline can – to use to pour the gasoline onto the props – again to match the lyrics Match/Candle – smaller flames to show how the obsession with fire was smaller before Fire – the most significant prop – shows the destruction and obsession of the
- 7. SETTING The most important setting within our video will be the outdoors – the location will not be 100% obvious but it will be clear that it is not inside. This is where the big fire will take place. We plan for it to be as deserted as possible and contain dark skies. Other settings are in a persons house, this relates to the audience as it will be an ordinary setting. Both of these are commonly used in the genre.
